A year-old sketch coloured, and I hate it and want to reline all of it. I wanted to make a random date-like illustration for the two characters, just to translate the different demeanour in the couple, with Rose being on a  more indulgent, condescending, calm spectre of emotions, being not as expressive with them as Kael, who I imagine being all hands and almost bouncy when he speaks... which is a part of his job, I want to add. He tried to be as entertaining as possible in class, teaching things that others might find boring with as much theatrical touch to it he can master. Rose on the other hand thinks of own emotions as extremely personal, intimate thing, not to be shared with idle observers, and instead being reserved for his alone time.

Rose's vice is fear. His rather emotional and pessimistic nature makes him overthink and wind himself up, making things look much worse than they really are. He is quite socially insecure, and constantly afraid of being publically revealed for who he actually is. quote from Alex Beaupain (Les Chansons d’Amour OST) - "Les yeux au ciel"

i know this sounds weird, but im glad they killed lars by slamming him against a wall. like, in every other movie ive ever seen when a character get magically pushed into a wall they come away with a few scratches and maybe a bloody nose for dramatic effect, when like realistically???? their neck is super broken my dude

Rhodonite is just as insecure as Garnet was before she met Rose. 

Maybe, if she was to spend more time with Steven, she could learn that it’s okay to be who she is, and become something great.

Now, I’m not saying that she isn’t great already. Come on guys, I love her.

OKAY FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Second of all I’m not to proud of how this turned out but i finished it anyways,, so I’ll likely draw this babe again so watch out for that c;;;
