something that always gets me about byler is that mike opens up so easily to will !!

in the first heart-to-heart in 4x04, will doesn't even have to do anything to get mike to talk. he just sits down next to him without even saying a word, and that's all mike needs to tell him about all of his fears and worries. bc just will's presence is enough for mike to feel safe enough to truly share his feelings.

and he keeps doing that throughout the whole season!! telling will everything he's thinking because he knows that will is going to be able to reassure him in a way that no one else can 💞
