I’m slowly starting to build a vinyl collection without putting myself too deep in debt. I also couldn’t resist the Arctic Monkeys shirt, it’s too cute.

#I knew vinyls were expensive but WHEW #I would have even got them used but none of the stores I visited had any #the only AM record I didn’t see in-store was ‘Suck It And See’ which I found interesting #one store even had the ‘Who The Fuck Are The Arctic Monkeys’ ep which was cool but I had to show restraint!#I even saw a bootleg of the Glastonbury 2013 performance which was interesting but I wasn’t sure how good the quality would be?#and it was like $55 💀#couldn’t resist Stevie Wonder though #‘Hotter Than July’ is such a good album #arctic monkeys #alex turner #vinyl records #personal

obviously taylor can do whatever she wants but if she’s wanting to finish up her discography by the end of the tour i think she only needs to get through that’s when, bye bye baby, girl at home, cassandra, and maybe renegade

#don't place too much importance on non-album/christmas ep/ beautiful eyes in terms of the whole discography goal #and also don't think we should expect her to play any of the devastating ones like ronan (esp. because maya's show already past) or soon #you'll get better. i could see her doing forever winter but i could also see her not wanting to so i’m not including it #i feel like she doesn't want to do girl at home but it would be so cool mashed up with like illicit affairs and high infidelity or somethin #i know illicit affairs is technically on the setlist but so is so high school and that didn't stop her

i'm not gonna lie but it's actually annoying to know some people used VPNs to listen to the album right away when to me it's legit like disrespect to the artists? they're waiting too y'know? they got the songs and everything because they made them, but they're waiting to listen to the songs with you and these people just couldn't wait bc midnight was too damn long. idk man, that shit was not cool but that's just me, i'd rather get the songs from the artist not the fans.

it is completed. The matches on the far outsides will be competing first, in 24 hr polls before they move on to go against the competitors on the inner brackets.

Round 1a polls will be posted SATURDAY JULY 15 (probably like 1pm pst or something), and Round 1b polls will be posted probably a couple days after that.

Propaganda is allowed and FULLY encouraged. rip each other to shreds.

#gonna talk abt the seeding process in tags lol #ok so i didnt do formal seeding bc.... i have no idea how with this shit.#but i started by putting the 4 eps that made the cut in the 4 corners and faced them off against their own band (mostly)#then i filled the rest of the outsiders with artists who only had one release or ones that are generally less well known/liked (cough. patd #the inners were a lot tougher. im not even that happy with how all the seeding ended up but i tried to make it as fair as i possibly could #as well as tried to stick to the idea of high scorers vs low scorers and then middle scorers vs middles. Again didnt ALL work but i tried #i also am not familiar with four year strong at all so i based their seedings off of how their albums charted. hopefully its fair enough #potential 1a winners were considered when placing 1b ones in the spots where theyd face one off #i will not lie at all and say that my bias for certain albums is evident in this seeding. It's a shame owl city hasn't put out anything new in like ten years. But ending on the ultraviolet ep means he at least went out on a good note. Too bad nothing came of that ep

#sorry it's apparently time for my bi-yearly modern owl city rant #the ultraviolet ep truly feels like the last thing he put his heart into #it just felt so unique and new and different. i was soooo excited for the direction he was taking #was listening to pre-2015 music of his and like. god what happened #mobile orchestra wasn't *terrible* but it felt so ... lifeless. so... burned out. like i personally wouldn't even call it a good album.#cinematic was better but still ... eh. it gave me hope at least.#coco moon imploded that hope. is he a youth pastor now??? it's fine if he is but like ... that was like veggie tales: the album #at least he sounded like he was actually enjoying himself. but god every song was the same corny structure #kelly time would've been fine if it was the only song like that!! but they all ended with the same addressing the audience #with 'so you see life is cool and you should enjoy it and the lessons it teaches' i just. adam how did we get here #well actually the closer was fine bc it was a totally normal love song to his partner. thank god it had one song that didn't do that #and the religious songs are so... on the nose now. what happened to angels... galaxies... meteor shower... kamikaze.... i still adore those #it's funny that bastille are now doing the same concept of an album but WAYYYY better. god i can't wait for the full '&' release #alright i think rant over. anyway #sorry one last thing. in my heart i knew it was joever when the one song from ultraviolet that made it to the next album #was the one Sad Inspirational life goes on we just have to accept it and learn from it.
