one thing i REALLY like and noticed about parrot being the director au and actors au is that like director au is SO possible in actors au….. like just think about it for a second. if wifies and parrot were the only ones who knew that uu!wifies was gonna die, how did the director of actors au not know? that’s unless PARROT IS THE DIRECTOR?!!! LIKE HEAR ME OUT…. in actors au, parrot literally IS the director in the show since him and wifies were the ONLY ones to know wifies was gonna die?? how would they do that in the script if the director didn’t know? A partial transcript of Greg and Alex being perfectly normal about each other:

We’re just more comfortable, I suppose, next to each other and in front of those people.

And we- and we know each other. We’ve holidayed, Brittany, and I think that- that changes everything.

When two men holiday- Mm. -that’s when, that’s when chemistry is formed.

So what’s the biggest thing either do you have learned about each other, then, through that process? Has there been anything that’s really surprised you?

I’ve learned that Greg operates horizontally for 23 hours of the day.

[wheezing laugh] That- that is true. I mean, it’s not relevant to the show.

Oh oh, to the show? No.

Not allowed to lie down on the show. I’ll tell you what I’ve learned about Alex, and I’ve mentioned it in a couple of interviews because I am intrigued by it, and it took me a few years to realise it. And it is that Alex is- will never say no if you challenge him to do something. And I don’t mean on camera, I mean, you know, at any event you can tell Alex to do something on a dare, and he’ll do it. And I find it endlessly endearing. And I think you know he comes across as an officious nerd, but- H-hello. -beneath that, he’s actually- he’s actually quite a lot of fun, Alex.

[honking laugh] yes. And I’ve learned that Greg is- will come with me on these escapades, and is also fun. But also, and this- he won’t necessarily like me saying this, but he is very funny uh, and, uh- [laugh] I will like you saying that. Well I think that Greg’s got like in the studio, you don’t really like it when people aren’t laughing and this is very useful quality as a comedy TV host.

I don’t- I don’t like it, and it’s a sort of sad cliche of comedians, really, we don’t- we can’t stand silence and a lack of merriment. And so I think the studio records of Taskmaster- I hope if you asked, most people who have been there in the audience would say that they get more than just the show, they get more than just what you- what you see, the edited final show. I think it’s genuinely quite chaotic and immersive in the studio. And I love that.

This interviewer takes a bit to warm up, but Greg and Alex are obviously both excellent at putting people at ease- Alex is always so endearingly earnest and I felt like Greg’s determination to make her laugh was palpable. They really both seem so kind and their chemistry was on point.

Also in the podcast: Greg claiming Alex’s currently barking dog doesn’t exist, them being very sweet and appreciative of their fans, Greg and Alex’s M-rated (for very different reasons) Taskmaster spinoff ideas, discussion of their #1 pick for contestant who has been rudely ignoring their calls, what the show has caused them to learn about themselves, and my favourite- Greg turning on his teacher voice at the interviewer at the end.

I am honestly considering putting “I’m not interested in logistics” and “Listen. Don’t make excuses, just deliver” in a button to press when my executive is not functioning. That feels like it would be quite motivating.

I don’t think that Polyphemus and Poseidon Father-and-Son relationship gets mentioned often in EPIC (and odyssey and Iliad and stuff but again my info is 100% from EPIC less stated otherwise-)

Both of them wanted to kill Odysseus last:When Odysseus spares Polyphemus and when Odysseus apologized to Poseidon for blinding Poly, they both wanted to kill him last bc ‘Ruthless is Mercy’ and stuff.

(Let’s be honest with ourselves here, Poly only tried to kill them after Ody sang that ‘Glad we see eye to eye’ joke—)(And Poseidon would’ve killed the 557 men no matter what bc he wanted Ody to see the consequences of sparing an enemy—)

They both try to get ‘revenge’ I suppose:When Odysseus shoots Polyphemus apparently favorite sheep and when Poseidon came down to kill odyssey for Blinding Poly they’re both kinda trying to get revenge (one is for the death of a favorite pet and another is for trying to humiliate a literal God)

And when Odysseus yells out to Polyphemus saying to the Giant how he’s his Darkest Moment (which is again- ✨ Racist✨) Poseidon uses the same line when he Kills off Ody 557 men because Odysseus is seemingly in defeat and a loss of control. (And because he is a ✨Petty✨ ✨little✨ ✨fucker✨)

Odysseus did not worship Hera, but his curiosity was nearly insatiable, only seeming to slow as he grew yet never disappearing. While he was a young man now, proper as expected, the sight of such a large temple piqued his interest, and it was not long before he wandered into it.

Getting lost was fairly easy; a fact he learned from experience. The entire temple seemed well taken care of, from spotless statues to perfect trims. The flowers themselves seemed undisturbed, swaying in a gentle breeze.

With Laertes' care for his orchard, Odysseus knew not to disturb such a tranquil place. Yet, stumbling across the young woman, he found himself not regretting the action as much as he had.

"Hey there," Odysseus calls out, giving a small bow in a respectful greeting. Though he subconsciously tilts his head, shifting his hair to match hers before realizing it doesn't feel right and returning back to his natural form.

Setting: in the past, year 5/7 — when Tiresias was changed into a woman as punishment by Hera. They were blinded at a young age, but their sight is not nearly as bad as it is by the time they are in the underworld (they can see your blur). They have their gift of hearing/understanding the songbirds (after being blinded), but have not been able to speak any prophecies yet.

The Temple of Hera was large enough to be called a labyrinth, and it certainly felt like one. Weaving halls pouring out into magnificent gardens full of statues, flowers and hedges fit for hiding in. It was a beautiful landmark, perfectly sculpted like her husband’s temple. Though his was high above, proudly sitting on a hill, while hers sat peacefully hidden in the groves of the forest.

It was practically empty, no mouse nor serpentine thing dared to disturb. But there was something there, or more, someone.

A young woman, dressed in peplos, she wore her hair in many different braids. Some were decorated, others were plain, but all held a story and kept it out of her face. Her face, that of which you could not see. However, it would be good to make note of the staff nearby. It was a wooden one, natural and new, but very deeply loved. Flowers and charmed beads hung off it, and a long, gold carved serpent swirled up, hanging at the curve down with a water lily hung from its mouth, a faint light glowing from it. 

She was working peacefully, making no disturbance to the silence other than a low hum of a distant melody. It was unclear what exactly she was doing, but it would be an estimation that, at this time of day, it could be an offering. Still, something felt off in the moment, here in this temple, like you were intruding on something. It was your choice whether to leave or not—she has yet to notice you were even here—but your decision best be made quick, and quietly.

gods game as a tournament for athena i just kept thinking about my hero academia LMAO wolfy did so good presenting the gods in the animatic

i just think of telemachus similar to hinata from haikyu -- like he's just a bundle of joy/sunshine to me hehe

of course i will draw ody angst but wanted to get the fun moments out of the way

i kinda wanna draw an anime style god games poster kinda like a promo art for a show but then too many characters (lazy)

can there be a place where there are official character designs for epic i keep pausing videos for reference

athena/telemachus was one of my fav duos in the Odyssey and this musical just made me love it more
