Ghostlights Prompt Event: Blind Date with a Prompt

aaaaah I'm doing it, I'm gonna post some of my work!

BAM!!

My first time ever posting anything and it's ghostlights, typical. Anyway this was tons of fun to do and I managed to pump this out in like two days. I really hope the smaller details are easy to see bc I had a lot of fun doing things like Dukes heart blush and eyes and Dannys electric scars and it would be a shame if Tumbler crunchifed it too much like Insta usually did.

The prompt I got was Duke is Danny's secret admirer and sharing headphones (that's a lie, it was actually sharing headphones and 1930 but I had no clue how I would do that so I just rerolled and got lucky lol). I might end up doing some more idk I've just never been this inspired before :>

Im bout to actually become the “Important Person”, the jumper I’m gonna order as a Christmas present will just be the final piece of the puzzle

•Feeling a lack of control over my life/like it’s fiction dictated by an outside force(don’t ask)(the only Kris related one)(well aside from my age i guess even though I think im just a lil older than them actually)

•non-binary(well I guess this one can go for kris too)

•my hair has grown out and the colour matches both Kris AND Chara(my natural hair colour is brown meanwhile the dyed majority of it is closer to a chestnut sort of ginger that’s reminiscent of Chara)

•Hatred for both myself and humanity(its a lil more complicated than that but we’re not here to get into my mentally unstable philosophical takes)

•General desire to escape(I don’t think I need to explain how this relates to Chara but ig themes of escapism also match up w Kris)

•Rosy mf cheeks(I flush easily and if im not then I often get dry irritated skin there anyway)

•might be throwing shit at the wall with this one but the way we pick their name??? Like I have a sort of similar attitude to my name where its like man call me whatever you wanna call me i dont really identify with any name anyway

I completely agree with you about the Vessel figurine looking like a knock-off. Really, the quality is questionable at best, especially at the price point. I think ST could make some truly amazing figures with the right designer/manufacturer, but this one is a dud. 😭

Some of the merch lately just feels kind of weird, considering their attention to detail for other visual aspects of the band/their brand (if you will). Like, some of the quality and designs feel out of place compared to everything else, if that makes sense? Idk if this is just the label pushing for more merch to capitalize on their current hype, or

Merch like the graphic novel? Makes sense for them and the story they want to tell. If anything, it would be kind of surprising if they didn't release something like the novel at some point (not to mention the opportunities for Vee to hop on his Easter egg/ARG bullshit hehe /lh)

But some other merch, like this figurine or the beach merch earlier this year, feels more soulless(?) and off-brand for them.

Idk, bro's gotta pay his absurd London rent and fund his drummer's cymbal obsession somehow. I just wish they were more particular about what they choose to sell.

I still find it Weird that there were several Arc/ane merch things where they had pretty much the whole cast there, and for some reason Jayce isn't there. Like you're gonna make Pops and those little tokidoki horse things for every protagonist but Jayce isn't there??? At all??????

Like, it's a real company this person's representing. They're a real solar farm company. The credit is real.
