INTRODUCTION

I've never written an introduction to a blog before so bare with me and stuff, okay? Got it? Good. Great.

This blog is fairly new so there won't be anything big or new and if there is you should check the intro (* which will be pinned) for anything new since I immediately update this post whenever I post something important.

What is OrchardVerse about?

Orchardverse takes place in a whole separate multiverse, at least, that is what is presumed. It is theorised that OCV and other UTMV's alike are linked together in one big spiderweb, but those are just theory's. Completely and utterly different from the main multiverse where most things are held. (* basically a multiverse filled with my headcanons which are technically canon in my verse)

There are the same Timelines and AUs as the UTMV like UnderSwap and UnderFell, it starts to deviate when Maple shows her face in the multiverse. Maple is an outcode who was never supposed to exist, if Cross and the rest of the gang never found her, she would very likely never live through the deletion of said AU she was in.

Things wouldn't have gone so far off the main UTMV and created its own separate multiverse, OCV, if Maple didn't go crazy and Nightmare didn't die and... If things were better. Maybe in another life, huh?

SPOILERS DOWN BELOW

Before I let you know the gist of things I need to make some facts clear first

Core!Frisk is seen as Dream's pupil or understudy of sorts, like a kid who finds you cool and wants to follow you around, while still taking care of the omega timeline

The Nightmare in this universe follows canon really closely but still has most of the hcs the community and myself follow (* because screw canon)

There is a need for balance but the stars and many other sanses are oblivious to it

Nightmare is a cruel person but good father

Core!Frisk looks like a teenager but still acts and behaves like their usual self just with an extra hint of angst

Maple isn't good nor bad

Core!Frisk isn't good nor bad

Basically, most people in this multiverse are neutral rather than black and white, despite how hard they would try to make others believe it.

This story is centred around Maple and Core!Frisk a lot, even going through some dark themes.

Okay now with that out of the way I can start summarising the beginning.

Nightmare and Dream die in battle by their brother's hands. Most mourn, others celebrate, what some don't do is plan a way to make those who are celebrating suffer.

Maple was lucky enough to live under Nightmare's care for the past 3 years without any hinderance until now that was. Seeing and even hearing people cheer on live television as your hero was now gone forever. Never will she be able to see him again and tell him about her day as he did his work. Gone were the days where she could watch as an AU was milked for its negativity. Compared to Dream, Nightmare barely got a proper urn, it certainly sucked but better than nothing. Living for 16 years on this earth has taught her many things but nothing could ever prepare her for the loss she would feel without her father.

Core!Frisk wasn't used to this uneasy feeling in their chest. There were other Dream's of course out there in the multiverse but it didn't feel the same. No matter how many different lenses of themselves they saw through nothing could make them feel the same because every universe had its different dynamics. Always a slight change in things. After all, something, even if it was too small to catch on, must change for a timeline to exist and that misplacement of an object could lead to anybody's death. It was risky for their mental health.

Sure, they saw deaths practically everyday at any moment but as long as they didn't think too hard about it, the memories will slip out of their mind eventually. Most of them do but some don't. It lingers. Waiting until they were at their most vulnerable

Maple wasn't having it. She wouldn't allow her family go down like this. They all were sulking, giving up, mourning. But she couldn't sit still any longer. She was always a bit of a problem child, doing bad things to get any attention she could get. This was her last selfish act. She needed her attention now or else she will just be another snuffed out flame.

When Nightmare died his soul was long gone but it solidified into a black apple which oozed negativity if you took a bite of it. How could she know that? Well, how else other than taking a risk? When her teeth sunk in she immediately lost consciousness. Finally waking up she saw where they had kept her father's remains, his office, was in ruins. Her back felt heavy and there was... Black goop dripping from her... Face?

What is Maple like?

Maple is described as unapproachable and scary with a crazy grin permanently etched onto her face. Anyone can tell she has been through a lot and is obviously mentally ill. Most rumour that Nightmare has forced this idea into her head. To take over his business and follow in his footsteps. Although, that is just her in public and rumours are only rumours.

Simply more propaganda.

Maple, out of the public eye, is still as mentally deranged as they make her out to be but she is much calmer since she can be herself. There aren't many people who can make her come out of her shell like that so nobody really knows how she acts without the pressure on her back.

What is Core!Frisk like?

Frisk is described as cheerful and child-like. Always so ready to help and kind. Has a sweet and warm smile that could melt anybody's heart if they flashed it at them. Many have claimed they are as energetic as usual but lately, nobody has seen much of them except for a few who see them on the streets.

Safe to say they aren't looking as good as they once were. But who would ever dare say something like that about their saviour?

Frisk, outside of the public eye, is much more troubled than they put on. Usually, they take a stroll or something to calm their nerves but it doesn't always work. They didn't expect how much of a weight everything would be on their shoulders.

The story flips back and forth from Maple to Frisk and back again, usually starts with Maple then goes back to Frisk. So if a comic of Maple came out already expect Frisk's to be next unless they are both in the same comic strip.

Sometimes it might go to a side character but it will go back to one of the main characters after a bit. The stories right themselves I can't help it.

Toltec is a Makula Sibling of Astra. He was a great time to be together, but until then, they have been separated out because Astra is going to Dystopia, and Toltec become so sad because of him.

An idea I've seen short video for Armed Reimagined, but I thought myself what if All Alpha Polos were Cyborg's like Lead, I will cobbling up, to try and redesign The Invasion visuals to have no connections with a certain Rabbit, only reusing its audio.

AEMOND TARGARYEN HEAD CANONS — SFW

— soft spoken

aemond is a very soft spoken man. not one person can say they have ever heard the prince yell. he may sometimes he raises his voice to be heard in a crowd. other times he may quarrel with his brother and get a bit heated as they insult each other, but aemond has never yelled. especially not at his wife.

— shy

aemond can be quite shy. he does not often go out of his way to speak to people he does not know. he is his wife’s shadow. apart from ryah, he usually only interacts with aegon, calla, and/or helaena.

— depth perception

aemond has poor depth perception due to only having one eye. he often walks slow as to not bump into or trip over anything. he either holds his wife’s arm or the railing when descending down stariwells. when he approaches others or they approach him, his first instinct is to hold an arm out to gauge how close they come. he does the same with objects. he extends his hands out in front of him as to not make a fool of himself by bumping into something or falling over. most times, things are closer than they actually appear to him.

— blindsided

when aemond is angry or displeased he will turn his head away from whoever or whatever his frustrating him so that the only side of his face that is visible is the side with his eyepatch. he refuses to make eye contact when he is angry and it is the easiest way to ensure he cannot see the root of his frustration. the action is known as “being blindsided” and it was named by aegon, who is more often than not the only person aemond willfully blindsides.

because half his face is scarred it’s sometimes hard for him to fully express his emotions via expressions, so aemond expresses himself with his hands. he gestures to express his enthusiasm. he slams them down onto surfaces when he is angry. he claps when he laughs. he snaps to get attention. he uses his hands to convey many emotions— just be careful not to stand on his left when he’s in a heated debate. he won’t be able to see who stands beside him and he has accidentally hit many a person more than once.

— swearing

if asked, aemond will say he tries his best not to swear because he thinks it’s impolite. in reality, he swears like a sailor. the curses he uses most in a day are: cunt, prick, and fucking (usually followed by imbecile). ryah finds it amusing but alicent gets a new gray hair every time she hears him curse. he’s worse than aegon.

— love language

touch. aemond is more often than not quiet around anyone who is not his wife. he is reserved in his affections— which is why touch is such a sure and meaningful way to know aemond cares and loves. he hugs his brother when he hasn’t seen him in months even though he would never utter the words ‘i love you’ to his face. he kisses his sister-in-law’s cheek to greet her and squeezes her hands earnestly when she speaks to him— for calla has a habit of insisting she hold people’s hands when she talks to them. he is the reason his children do not like to be put down. he is content to hold his babies until his arms feel like they will fall off his body. his wife…well, his wife never starves for affection.

his favorite hobby is telling men to shut the fuck up when his wife is speaking. because she is a woman heir, she is subjected to prejudice that boils his blood. in court and amongst the high-born of the other houses, the only time he may join in on a conversation or butt-in to one is to defend his wife. he knows better than anyone how strong, capable, and smart women are and how damaging it is when their worth is defined by how many babes they can produce. he is outspoken about women picking up swords, enjoying non-feminine passions and hobbies, and taking charge.

when aemond is sick, he lays in bed like he is made of glass and will not be seen again until he is better. despite most believing he would have a hard time laying still and accepting care, a simple fever can have him bound to bed with his wife pressing a cloth against his forehead. whether or not he truly feels so feeble when sick or uses it as is a free pass to spend time with his wife, aemond generally disdains being poorly.

not only is aemond’s favorite animal a crow, he has the memory of one. he remembers every face he’s ever seen and never forgets a name. he remembers every detail of a person to the freckles on their face to the wrongs they’ve done to someone he holds dear. aemond does not forget and he does not easily forgive.

aemond and ryah have a dog named fern that he is absolutely obsessed with. fern follows him everywhere but the small council. he was their first baby. he may very well be the true heir to the iron throne, but aemond will not confirm or deny anything. not only does he train fern to behave well enough to not cause trouble in the keep but he commissions a saddle be made so that his children can ride fern through the halls like a dragon. fern absolutely loves it.

— sexuality

straight. to his bisexual wife’s dismay, aemond is a straight man. the queer targaryen gene skipped someone for the first time in history and it was him. although, when drunk he can be persuaded to admit he’s had queer thoughts but he does not think he’d ever act on them 1. because he’s happily married and 2. they would not be his wife.

— his worst habit

one habit that aemond has that everyone around him complains about at least once is that he hums to himself. in the middle of the night while ryah is trying to sleep? aemond is humming in bed beside her. when someone is speaking in the small council? he’s humming just loud enough that it makes people stare until he stops. he hums to himself so often than sometimes those around him don’t realize he does it until he changes the tune and they notice it again, restarting the cycle of: “aemond, please stop.”

— pet peeves

1) repeating himself. he hates when he has to repeat himself. even though he knows he mumbles, he still can’t help but be annoyed when asked to say what he said again.

2) sneezing without covering their mouth. he will walk away from someone who either didn’t cover their mouth when they sneezed or sneezed into their hands. instant conversation ender.

3) sniffling. he’s the kind of dad to hand his kid a tissue and say “blow your nose right now” so he doesn’t have to listen to the sniffling. unless someone is crying — in which case he lets it go — he will insist they blow their nose.

4) being interrupted when he speaks. he is already quiet enough and takes a while to warm up that when people cut him off, he won’t open his mouth again to speak ever.

Calla and her relationships

Calla and Rhaenyra-

Being one of her first born, and one of the twin flames, she loves her daughter very dearly. Growing up, she allowed her daughter to do as she pleased as long as she stayed within Kingslandng. She didn’t mind if she disliked royal duties since she kept up with her studies. Calla got her love for horses from her mother. They rode at least once a week, spending hours outside. When Calla moved across the country to Oldtown, she was very sad to say goodbye to her daughter.

Calla and Daemon-

Calla was a daddy’s girl growing up most definitely. Calla spent hours in the courtyard watching her father train the kings guard. He sat her on her lap as he corrected his men. He took her riding daily, even before she could fly herself.

“She’s a true Targaryen, who cares how old she is when she rides?”

When she married Aegon, he cried. When she moved to Oldtown, he cried.

Calla and Rhya-

Oh my god please don’t get me started on them. They make me sick. They are best friends, closer than anything. For sixteen years they were attached at the hip. They very much reflect me and my best friend and I think that’s very clear. Rhya is Calla’s biggest ally, supporting her decision to move to Oldtown, telling her that if that is what she wants, pursue it.

Calla and Jacerys-

Jace was Callas shadow growing up, especially with her father. Jace and Calla practiced their sword fighting together while their father corrected them both. Jace loved to pull pranks on his sisters alongside Luke- getting in trouble whenever they pulled a stunt. Since he was betrothed to Helaena, and Helaena was like a sister to Calla, they were always together.

Calla and Lucerys-

They aren’t particularly close. They have dragon riding in common- along with enjoying swimming. They found common ground in silence.

Calla and Caeserys, Aelon, and Aerion-

She isn’t that close with her younger brothers. She spent more time with her twin, Aegon and Aemond. They visit her at Oldtown occasionally.

Calla and Aegon-

I love them so much. Growing up, they were two peas in a pod. They spent every moment together when they could. Their marriage was uncontested, being praised. I could talk about them for hours, they’re truly soulmates.

Calla and Aemond-

They are close. He’s basically a brother to her. Growing up, Aemond, Rhya, and Aegon would sneak out of the castle at night and go into the city. I could think of many stories.

When he comes to visit Oldtown, Calla is delighted to see him. She missed someone quiet and calm.

Calla and Helaena-

They are like sisters. They’re very close. I feel like the only way I can describe them is as best friends and sisters.

the vampire hunter wip is like what if jennifer check was a vampire cheerleader and jennifer and needy were even more toxic

also me: TARGET ACQUIRED.

i wish i had a specific ask besides "how much can you infodump without giving yourself carpal tunnel" because like. i have to know more.

okay so i haven't really planned this out because i sort of hit a block with this wip. idk if all this is actually going to make it in, but here's what i have so far:

- it's sort of vaguely inspired by buffy and jennifer's body. really it's inspired by toxic girl friendships and trying to get away from an abusive friend who you had a thing with. also vampires.

- it's part of a set of stories set at a college in a fictional town called hell's gate. they're all supposed to be holiday themed: slasher (halloween), the house at lake sinister (xmas), and the vampire hunter wip (valentine's day). but i have other stories set in hell's gate that aren't holiday themed like The Birthday, the werewolf sorority wip, and The Blue Period.

- the mc is barbara kinney (21), a former cheerleader from texas trying to forget the traumatic event that caused her to transfer to [redacted], along with her childhood friend sidney. i haven't figured out what her major is yet. she's in sort of a casual poly thing with sidney and his boyfriend manny, and she's just broken up with veruca, the soon to be vampire in question.

- then we have veruca seether (21), the antagonist. i feel like veruca is a rich girl who just sort of got into college because she likes to party, and is really selfish and cruel. like the only person she really vibes with is her roommate/girlfriend lisa, and it's because lisa is just as awful as her.

- barbara meets a new girl shannon who just moved to hell's gate (to investigate the vampire attacks) and is moving into the rental house to replace barbara's old roommate, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances (this happens a lot in hell's gate). barbara offers to show her around campus, and the two hit it off.

- unfortunately veruca finds out and flips shit over it.

- i can't decide whether veruca either gets attacked by a random vampire or whether there should be a vampire sorority next to the werewolf sorority that she joins and they turn her as part of initiation, but something goes wrong?

- so veruca gets bitten and starts to change. her teeth start falling out to make room for stronger ones/fangs. she gets these weird dark veins around her eyes. she looks corpse like. until she finally gets blood, then she looks healthy again.

- another thing i can't decide is if veruca confides in lisa about needing blood, because lisa is a cannibal serial killer and they could hunt together. but it might be too easy? idk. but if she did, they would get weird about it.

- veruca gets more obsessive and vengeful and decides she's going to kill barbara and shannon.

- okay so. i had planned for the showdown to happen at the valentine's day mixer, but i'm not sure if it's going to happen. but it would be funny if it did.

- another idea i had was that after they kill veruca, somehow barbara and shannon get struck by lightning and become immortal like an age of addaline situation. then they show up later in the future in the present timeline. (not sure about this one, because if someone asked me the reason behind this choice, i couldn't give an answer lol. i'd just be like bc i thought it was cool.)
