Small collection I’ve been gatekeeping for a while… not sry dr aegon you have my heart <3 I love my husband dearly I don’t care

- He is very interested in geography, particularly of Essos. He knows every important house of Westeros and their Lord. Being the kings son, he was destined to be a Lord of some sort. He was schooled like a Prince, and when he was 10 he began to become fluent on High Valyrian because Calla was fluent at 8. He’ll be damned if he is viewed as stupid. Aegon and his wife mainly speak only High Valyrian and they treat English as their second language.

- He most definitely has ADHD and he fidgets with his fingers just like his mother. His hands are often bloody after a day when he’s subject to sit in court without Calla. When she is there and notices him fidget, she holds his hands tightly. Calla herself finds comfort from skin to skin contact and so does Aegon, it’s a way they sooth themselves.

- His eyes are very, very expressive. It’s hard for him to hide what mood he’s in because if he’s sad, his eyes are puffy and dull. However if he’s happy and excited, there’s a light in his eyes like no other.

- Aegon learning how to braid because his daughter Arra asks him too makes me so, so happy. She enjoys when the handmaids do it of course, however spending time with her father she enjoys more. He practices on both his daughter and his wife, becoming a pro very quickly under Mary’s guidance.

- In his daily life he normally takes charge when the time arises. While they were growing up he was overly protective of her, often taking blame for her mistakes and accompanying her everywhere he was able to. In court, he stood up for her when Jace and the councilmen gave snide remarks about her dislike for her duties. When they moved to Oldtown, before they became the official Lord and Lady they are often undisturbed. The two will go weeks at a time without visitors when they are home. When their family visits, he finds no reason to act any way since they are simply family.

- After Aegon becomes lord when Otto dies, their royal involvements remain minimal and they focus of being good a Lord and Lady for Oldtown. They stay living on their farm, Caserys and Baela living in the Castle. Aegon keeps Casey close and uses him as a advisor, helping him oversee the city residents and make sure that things stay in line.

- He keeps his hair long, a little bit past his shoulders. He does it out of habit from always having long hair when he was young, and because his wife refused to let him cut it short. He enjoys being able to have his hair put in simple braids as well as the Targaryen tradition of keeping their hair longer.

Calla and her relationships

Calla and Rhaenyra-

Being one of her first born, and one of the twin flames, she loves her daughter very dearly. Growing up, she allowed her daughter to do as she pleased as long as she stayed within Kingslandng. She didn’t mind if she disliked royal duties since she kept up with her studies. Calla got her love for horses from her mother. They rode at least once a week, spending hours outside. When Calla moved across the country to Oldtown, she was very sad to say goodbye to her daughter.

Calla and Daemon-

Calla was a daddy’s girl growing up most definitely. Calla spent hours in the courtyard watching her father train the kings guard. He sat her on her lap as he corrected his men. He took her riding daily, even before she could fly herself.

“She’s a true Targaryen, who cares how old she is when she rides?”

When she married Aegon, he cried. When she moved to Oldtown, he cried.

Calla and Rhya-

Oh my god please don’t get me started on them. They make me sick. They are best friends, closer than anything. For sixteen years they were attached at the hip. They very much reflect me and my best friend and I think that’s very clear. Rhya is Calla’s biggest ally, supporting her decision to move to Oldtown, telling her that if that is what she wants, pursue it.

Calla and Jacerys-

Jace was Callas shadow growing up, especially with her father. Jace and Calla practiced their sword fighting together while their father corrected them both. Jace loved to pull pranks on his sisters alongside Luke- getting in trouble whenever they pulled a stunt. Since he was betrothed to Helaena, and Helaena was like a sister to Calla, they were always together.

Calla and Lucerys-

They aren’t particularly close. They have dragon riding in common- along with enjoying swimming. They found common ground in silence.

Calla and Caeserys, Aelon, and Aerion-

She isn’t that close with her younger brothers. She spent more time with her twin, Aegon and Aemond. They visit her at Oldtown occasionally.

Calla and Aegon-

I love them so much. Growing up, they were two peas in a pod. They spent every moment together when they could. Their marriage was uncontested, being praised. I could talk about them for hours, they’re truly soulmates.

Calla and Aemond-

They are close. He’s basically a brother to her. Growing up, Aemond, Rhya, and Aegon would sneak out of the castle at night and go into the city. I could think of many stories.

When he comes to visit Oldtown, Calla is delighted to see him. She missed someone quiet and calm.

Calla and Helaena-

They are like sisters. They’re very close. I feel like the only way I can describe them is as best friends and sisters.

This is the first slide on my digital script! House Of The dragon is one of my favourite shows (alongside WandaVision)

I'm not entirely sure what's going on with it but I'll probably end up aging Luke and Jace up by a couple years and age Aegon down to be a bit younger just so we'd all be within a similar age group.

I'll not be part of house targaryen and probably be part of house Romanov (made up house, not real in the books OR the show) though I have thought about making them a house of old Valeria.

I will also be scripting out certain ~actions~ of Aegon. I love him (mainly due to how relatable I can find him sometimes) but those actions are actually horrid.

I absolutely adore Luke and Rhaenyra (and Alicent but I'll not talk abt that now) so I can't wait to actually shift here!

This will never fail to make me laugh; Alicent was experiencing quite possibly the worst night of her life, Rhaenyra didn't gaf about the deadly lasers being sent her way, and Laenor in the back was going hard for absolutely no reason.

hotd's commentary on patriarchy is so much more interesting when you allow yourself to acknowledge the differences in privilege and power between the various women we see. aemma, alicent, laena, rhaenys, rhaenyra- they all have varying levels of privilege that come to them either indirectly or directly. rhaenyra is, ofc, undisputedly at the top. and this doesn't sideline or villainize rhaenyra in any way, because no amount of privilege will change the fact that she is not a man. like otto said: she could be jaehaerys reborn, could be as wise and powerful and mighty as any human being could be, and at the end of the day society would still see her as a woman. as the most powerful woman, sure, but as a woman. and i think that's just a much more salient point- that no amount of power within a system will allow you to breach the confines of that system. no matter how much influence these woman gain within the system of patriarchy, they're never able to be free of it.

Do Other Shifters Have A Hard Time Separating the Actor and the Character?

I haven’t fully shifted, I don’t think. I lucid dream almost every night and every one of those dreams feel real, but I feel like I can differentiate between a dream and reality (that’s a lie, typing this feels like I’m in a dream lol) but I digress. For instance I’ve had dreams (minishifts??) about my House of the Dragon Desired Reality and I DESPISE Daemon. He sucks. Now whenever I see anything with Matt Smith (his actor) I just feel rage and annoyance. I know Matt isn’t the same as the character he plays, it’s just rough. I would never go as far as to threaten or send death threats or anything, it’s just an uncontrollable emotional reaction to the face of my biggest opp. I don’t really know how else to explain but have other shifters (lucid dreamers??) had this same problem? Alternatively when someone shifts for love and they come back here and they have to see the person with the same face as their lover loving another, is that hard? It’s just such a delicate thing I think. Maybe I’m just crazy and not processing it correctly. I don’t know but has anyone else experienced this?
