A Lax Day in the Life of Princess Vaelyra Velaryon

Morning: The Radiance of Dawn

The first light of day kissed Vaelyra’s chambers with golden hues, illuminating the treasures she adored—pearls, delicate shells, and polished stones gleaming softly against the silken backdrop of her sanctuary. Her bed, draped in seafoam green and adorned with Myrish lace, cradled her like a gentle wave.

Vaelyra stirred and yawned, her white sea of her hair fanned across the pillows, iridescent: pink as the interior of a seashell, blue as a dawn over the ocean, gold like the sun rising over the same. Her mismatched eyes, one of blue color like the sky at dawn and the other light violet like the budding flower at dawn, shining like twin stars awakening from slumber.

Her maids entered, the sound of their voices chorusing perfectly with the coming of the sea breeze with the windows opening; their quiet shuffles harmonizing with the sea breeze filtering through the open windows. Rising gracefully, Vaelyra allowed them to wrap her in a robe of lilac silk, the fabric as soft as a lover’s caress.

Her bath awaited, a ritual of luxury and peace–a symbol of cleansing and serenity. The water glistened with crushed pearls, sea salt, and fragrant oils of dragonflower and citrus. Vaelyra rested against the soft arms of the tub, the maids washing her hair with the respect of royalty, and skin with reverent care. When she emerged, her skin resembled the sheen of the rising sun along the shoreline; her curls were supple and smooth, set in a waterfall like style, pinned with a delicate circlet of pearls.

Her gown for the day was chosen with the same care and precision—a flowing sea-green creation adorned with silver waves and golden dragons, pearls stitched along the neckline and cuffs. Her jewelry reflected her dual heritage: a necklace of Arraexys’ shed scales and a bracelet of Driftmark’s finest pearls.

Daytime: Grace in Motion

Vaelyra spent her day reveling in leisure and the simple joys of life. She wandered barefoot along Driftmark’s beaches, with her dress as light as the winds that blew, her eyes sparkling like starlight on water. With a small woven basket in hand, she collected sea treasures—iridescent shells, smooth stones, and fragments of coral.

She ventured into the gardens, where blooms of every hue vied for her attention. Her fingers brushed against petals and leaves as she strolled, hearing the birds chirp, her voice rising in soft song as though the flowers themselves deserved her melody.

Gathered under a pergola draped in roses, Vaelyra shared the afternoon with her ladies-in-waiting. They brought trays of delicate pastries—lemon tarts, lavender shortbread, and honey cakes—and pitchers of sweet wine cooled in ice. Their laughter mingled with the rustling of leaves, and Vaelyra’s clever remarks elicited delighted peals of mirth.

Evening: The Gilded Glow of Twilight

As the sun dipped low, Vaelyra returned to her chambers. Her maids helped her out of her daytime gown, carefully folding it away. She slipped into a bath once more, this time cool and calming, infused with chamomile, mint, and moonflower.

Her evening wear was softer and more intimate—a gown of pale silks and Myrish lace in shades of dusk, her hair unbound.She put on a pendant of pearls and dragon scales, the colors symbolizing her family’s love and roots.

Vaelyra dined lightly, savoring honeyed fruits and sipping a goblet of sweet wine. Afterward, she settled by the window with her journal, writing by candlelight as the sea whispered secrets just beyond the walls.

Night: The Quiet Majesty of Dreams

When the hour grew late, Vaelyra prepared for rest. Her maids turned down her bed, the silken sheets cool and inviting. She gazed at the treasures arranged around her room, her fingers lightly brushing a particularly large lush pearl she had carried with her throughout the day.

She slipped beneath the covers, the linen felt like a blanket of cumulus clouds against her skin, and closed her radiant eyes. Her breathing steadied, the gentle rise and fall of her chest resembling the ebb and flow of the sea.

Even in sleep, Vaelyra remained a vision of ethereal beauty, a dream wrapped in silks and starlight, carrying with her the whispers of fire and water.

Calla and her relationships

Calla and Rhaenyra-

Being one of her first born, and one of the twin flames, she loves her daughter very dearly. Growing up, she allowed her daughter to do as she pleased as long as she stayed within Kingslandng. She didn’t mind if she disliked royal duties since she kept up with her studies. Calla got her love for horses from her mother. They rode at least once a week, spending hours outside. When Calla moved across the country to Oldtown, she was very sad to say goodbye to her daughter.

Calla and Daemon-

Calla was a daddy’s girl growing up most definitely. Calla spent hours in the courtyard watching her father train the kings guard. He sat her on her lap as he corrected his men. He took her riding daily, even before she could fly herself.

“She’s a true Targaryen, who cares how old she is when she rides?”

When she married Aegon, he cried. When she moved to Oldtown, he cried.

Calla and Rhya-

Oh my god please don’t get me started on them. They make me sick. They are best friends, closer than anything. For sixteen years they were attached at the hip. They very much reflect me and my best friend and I think that’s very clear. Rhya is Calla’s biggest ally, supporting her decision to move to Oldtown, telling her that if that is what she wants, pursue it.

Calla and Jacerys-

Jace was Callas shadow growing up, especially with her father. Jace and Calla practiced their sword fighting together while their father corrected them both. Jace loved to pull pranks on his sisters alongside Luke- getting in trouble whenever they pulled a stunt. Since he was betrothed to Helaena, and Helaena was like a sister to Calla, they were always together.

Calla and Lucerys-

They aren’t particularly close. They have dragon riding in common- along with enjoying swimming. They found common ground in silence.

Calla and Caeserys, Aelon, and Aerion-

She isn’t that close with her younger brothers. She spent more time with her twin, Aegon and Aemond. They visit her at Oldtown occasionally.

Calla and Aegon-

I love them so much. Growing up, they were two peas in a pod. They spent every moment together when they could. Their marriage was uncontested, being praised. I could talk about them for hours, they’re truly soulmates.

Calla and Aemond-

They are close. He’s basically a brother to her. Growing up, Aemond, Rhya, and Aegon would sneak out of the castle at night and go into the city. I could think of many stories.

When he comes to visit Oldtown, Calla is delighted to see him. She missed someone quiet and calm.

Calla and Helaena-

They are like sisters. They’re very close. I feel like the only way I can describe them is as best friends and sisters.

- my family is blood. i am not close with my brothers, however i am close with my sister. my chosen family are my close handmaids and my clarise.

- no… i don’t have any specific powers beyond having a dragon ~ snowfyre 🤍

- i am a the princess of kingslanding and the future lady of oldtown ~ ( i don’t want to be referred to as the ‘princess of oldtown’ we moved here to get away from royal duties )

🦌DELICATE DEER . . . what fantasy media inspired your desired reality? does your desired reality follow the same rules as it? if not what are some of the changes you've made?

- HOUSE OF THE DRAGON / ASOIAF. it definitely does not follow the plot lolololololol crow and i changed it a LOT. if i wrote it all here there would be too much to read haha i have an entire account dedicated to that.

🐭MAGICAL MOUSE . . . is there any magic in your fantasy desired reality? if so, how does it all work? is it chaotic or is there a detailed magic system?

- we have magic via our dragons … we also embody our dragons and their qualities. soft, friendly, and calm like snowfyre.

🦦OBSERVANT OTTER . . . what are the little things about your desired reality that some might overlook but you love?

- the most mundane things. being bored, walking around the castle, sitting in the sept, reading books waiting for ryah. anything.

🐇RATIONAL RABBIT . . . what are the beliefs and or prophecies that people in your desired reality believe in simply because of tradition?

- i’m not too sure if there are… if there is it’s nothing i know about.

🦨SOFT SKUNK . . . what are a few of your favorite memories in your desired reality? what kind of emotion to these memories bring about? who else is in these memories?

- studying the common tongue with ryah

- walking the hallway of kingslanding with aegon

- going to mass with alicent

- dancing at night with ryah

- these all make me very sad.

- my closest friends are my sister, aegon, aemond, clarise, my dragon snowfyre, and my cat luna. they are my family, pets, and members of my moms court.

This is the first slide on my digital script! House Of The dragon is one of my favourite shows (alongside WandaVision)

I'm not entirely sure what's going on with it but I'll probably end up aging Luke and Jace up by a couple years and age Aegon down to be a bit younger just so we'd all be within a similar age group.

I'll not be part of house targaryen and probably be part of house Romanov (made up house, not real in the books OR the show) though I have thought about making them a house of old Valeria.

I will also be scripting out certain ~actions~ of Aegon. I love him (mainly due to how relatable I can find him sometimes) but those actions are actually horrid.

I absolutely adore Luke and Rhaenyra (and Alicent but I'll not talk abt that now) so I can't wait to actually shift here!

the storyline of my hotd dr

Hey guys! Today I wanted to explain the storyline/plot of my House of the Dragon DR, and some things that I changed or didn’t. So if you know anything about the show or the ASOIF books, then you know the storyline is incredibly tragic, and obviously, I don’t want to go through that lol.

Ok, so starting off with Rhaenyra’s life before I was born, in the books, Alicent and her are not friends and they have a nine year age gap. She’s more of an evil step-mother to her. But I decided to keep the same plot in the show, but I scripted that she was closer with Laena, just like in the books. Her and Laena had a bit of a situationship in my DR (which is also sort of alluded to in the books), so do with that what you will lmao.

Unfortunately, Aemma still dies and Alicent does marry Viserys. Alicent and Rhaenyra do have a falling out in my DR; when watching the show I was so confused as to why Alicent cared so much about Rhaenyra possibly fucking Daemon lmao. But maybe it’s because she lowkey had a crush on her? Anyways in my DR, that’s the reason why they fall apart, and because Rhaenyra is disturbed that her father is marrying one of her bestfriends who is literally her age.

Anyways shit follows the show until Laena’s death. In the books Rhaenyra was present with Daemon and Laena when she passed, so that’s canon in my DR. At the funeral, Aemond still claims Vhagar and loses his eye like it goes in the show, except I take his eye instead of Lucerys, because why not? Lol. But on a serious note, I feel like in the show, Luke holds a lot of guilt for it and I just wanted to alleviate that? If that makes sense. Anyways Laenor dies, and my DR follows the way the show went about it. They fake Laenor’s death and he runs off with his boyfriend (perioddd), but in the show I felt so bad for Rhaenys and Corlys. Like they just lost two children in such a short span of time, so in my DR they both know that Laenor is alive and ran away.

So, Rhaenyra and Daemon get married right after both of their spouses' funerals, which infuriates Viserys, so basically, we’re exiled from Kings Landing LMFAOOOO. Also, for a period of time Luke, Jace, and I were beyond cross with our mom for getting remarried so quickly after our dad “died.” Moving on, in the show they make Daemon an absolute SHIT father, when in the books he did not PLAY about his daughters, and also he truly loved his late wife Laena. And in the books, Daemon considered Rhaenyra’s children as his own too, so in my DR, as we get more used to him, and as time goes on, Luke, Joffrey, and I do call Daemon “father”, but Jace doesn’t lol. Also Harwin doesn’t die because I say so, the assassination attempt FAILS (he’s too hot to get killed off).

Anyways this is getting really long, so I’ll make another part when I’m not lazy.
