Oh man, i sure do love when I'm minding my own business and out of nowhere I get hit with the "Octavio is a pervert because he only has women in his army and he dresses them up in revealing clothing" take. And then that take bleeds into Hypno Callie because OF COURSE IT DOES!!!!

First, that take fails to mention that Octavio also has these fuckers in his army too. You don't see the Flooders or Octopods with octopus tattoos and bikinis now do ya?

Second, the "revealing" Octoling outfits are probably just a cultural thing within Octarian society. And it applies to both male and female Octolings as seen with Agent 8. Even the men expose the midriff.

Also, other Octoling characters like Marina and Acht have very similar fashion even when they aren't in Octavio's army anymore. Octarians just reveal more skin than Inklings, simple as is. The developers probably wanted to show the contrast between Inklings and Octarians, and their culture and fashion are some of those ways to show their differences.

It also explains why Callie looks the way she does in Octo Canyon. She wants to fit into Octarian society.

It's not because Octavio is some creep who kidnaps young women and forces them to wear revealing outfits against their fucking consent and knowledge.

The only sexual thing on Octavio's mind IS THIS GUY!!! GET IT RIGHT!!!!

Imagine being brought into the court of Royal couple, as the king's concubine, the king already has one, surely the Maharani of the palace objects, perhaps she'll find a way to get rid of them.

What they don't know is that the Maharaj and Maharani had decided to bring you. They found you interesting, coming from basically nothing but still having enough guts to questions the officials they send to impose rules.

Even if it was just them in front of crowds, behind closed doors they had no problem including you, flaunting you around the palace, keeping you close to them during meetings.

Initially they thought their previous concubine would stir up issues only to find, they find your presence enjoyable as well, telling you what the couple likes/dislikes.

Finding excuses to be with you, doing your hair, getting you ready before you meet the couple during the night. They're always there, asking you if you felt uncomfortable, assuring you that you'll do well before you're off.

If they notice anything, they'll slip it into whatever conversation they're having with the couple.

Once you feel comfortable enough, they won't mind attending to the royal couple together, after all, they do admire the way you shy up under their gaze.

I think it’d be really sweet if Solano Hills Productions put out their own Architects of Tomorrow inspired show. Maybe Angela teaches all about coding Bill Nye style and Trevor comes up with catchy lil piano tunes that reinforce the lesson of the day. It’s not one of studio’s main projects; it’s more a labor of love than anything, and they’re not expecting it to become super popular or make the company any notable amount of money. It’s just Architects of Tomorrow was such a positive influence on both of them, and I think it’d make them happy being able to use their platform to pay homage to that show while putting their unique spin and personalities on it.
