From the right side of the ocean, I stand on the sand. I look out, trying to get a peak of the left. The clouds are big, the sky is small. They're perfectly white, and its perfectly blue, not a single hue out of place. Its almost too perfect. The light comes from all around, the sun doesn't seem to have a purpose. I've always wondered why its there.

The breeze isn't cool. Its a soft room temperature, just barely ruffling my hair. My home is just a little ways away from here. A small, single bedroom, yellow square. Ill go home, and I'll have what i have every night. Meatloaf and peas. I don't know where the food comes from, its just there. The more i think about it, everything in my life has just been here.

I don't remember my childhood, or my parents. I know i had them, but i don't remember them. I don't even remember yesterday. I just wake up and do what i know.

There are other people here. They never look into my eyes, and only talk to me unless i talk to them first. I don't care for them.

I don't really want to leave the shore. The breeze may be mediocre, the light may be florescent, and the ocean may be too quit, but i have to see the left side of the ocean. They all tell me we are on the right, and the left is just yonder. But i cant see it. The plain blue of the sky is blocking my view. I just want a peak, just a little. I fear if i leave, ill forget all this. Ill forget these thoughts, ill forget the left side if i do discover it. Ill forget just like i forgot yesterday.

Its lonely. And scary sometimes. Its so empty here, but its all ive ever known.

I dont think ill see past the sky today. Seeing the left side? Its pointless. Ill go home, and ill have meatloaf and peas, and ill watch the approved programming on the picture box, and ill go to bed. And ill forget.

Maybe the me tomorrow will also be curious. Maybe the me tomorrow will succeed in seeing the left side. I sure hope so.
