Happy Birthday! 💙 A lil OceanOwl (SirenxAthena) idea I thought could be nice is that now that siren song affects Athena is that her GF uses it to help her sleep or like dull the pain she’s in to a degree by making her rest? If that makes sense? I know Ares can use his ability to do similar, but I would think it’s got some not so great side effects? So just imagine Siren singing her darling a lullaby almost to get her to sleep (pls Athena just LAY DOWN FOR A BIT).

In light of the ship being canon it's now called oceanowl and this is canon.

In summary Odysseus embarkeds on a diplomatic mission to somewhere across the Aegean Sea and brings Athena along who was stripped of her divinity and forced to be a mortal because Zeus is petty like that.

I definitely head cannon this too for OceanOwl.

I've also thought about the different effects siren songs have on people.

In summary sirens are capable of reading the minds of any who listens and allows them. Sirens songs have passive effects. Including drawing people closer to the source of the song.

Those who hear siren songs are put in a trance similar to hypnosis which makes individuals more susceptible to suggestion especially from the sirens. (So if you hear a siren sing about you getting in the water, you are getting in the water)Generally lowers inhibition (so Athena can finally open up about her trauma and heal (⁠•⁠ˇvˇ⁠•⁠) ). Also the person entranced by a siren's song will exhibit the same emotions of the siren (so sad siren = sad listener).
