OC-Parel April 2022 - Day One: Disguise

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 25 - Childhood

Looks like I’m gonna be doing just traditional art for the rest of the month since my tablet is old as dirt and crashes every time I try to upload a pic on one of digital art programs I use.

GOD I need a new tablet

On topic, when Audrey was much younger, before her powers emerged she was actually a very approachable and friendly girl. While not a social butterfly she was very eager to make new friends wherever she went - including those on four legs instead of just two.

I actually drew these a while back during an event “Dressuptober 2021” back half a year ago but forgot to post them in time so I figured now would be as good a time as any.

OC-Parel April: Days(s) Five & Six - Formal and Sexy

Almost a month late due to physical problems in the beginning and delayed even more by my other entries but here they are now!

Day five was my absolute favorite one to do which I WILL get on coloring one of these days when I don’t have a million and one other things to do.

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 29 - Original

This was my first outfit idea that I had when first designing Audrey - as you can see there’s not a lot of difference from her original design to her current one.

At first I was fine with it, but then I realized I haven’t draw a lot of OC’s in either shorts of skirts; couple that with when I was first introduced to The Owl House and the wonderful little weirdo known world-wide as Luz Noceda, I thought it was about time for an upgrade.

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 28 - Other OC’s (Outfit)

There was some slight confusion on this prompt and I admit openly that it’s my fault for not being a little more clear - the theme here is to draw your OC in another OC’s look of your choice, doesn’t matter which fandom, just pick whose look you’d like to mimic and go for it!

Obviously I went with Juliete (the beautiful OC of @ultravioletqueen and my ONE other contributer to this event) and I can honestly say that if I wasn’t so fed up with my tablet I would give this sketch the colors it deserves

Couldn’t think for any better meme for Audrey to wear than the Instagram famous strawberry dress - tho I swear drawing all those little strawberries was such a pain~

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 26 - Older

Still an idea I’m batting around in the physiological brain melt/explosion that can be laughingly referred to as my brain but older Audrey (Somewhere between late twenties to early thirties) is a far cry from the younger and meeker Audrey Verdancy.

For one, she has fully embraced her heritage as one of the Verdancy Blessed and has become of the most well-sought after Seers , and Baker, of her time from both sides of reality, human and otherwise. While still soft-spoken and polite, she’s also become braver, bolder and resolute to help others like her cope and come to terms with their given abilities.

She is also happily married to man who changed her life and does her best to corral their beautiful children who do their damndest to both make her proud and make her hair turn pure grey lol

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 21 - Spring

Yes the shirt is thin enough for Audrey to enjoy spring without being to hot. Yes the shirt covers enough. Yes it was Vivi’s idea, since in her opinion, Audrey has an “adorable” belly.

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 20 - Sleepwear

I’ve actually drawn Audrey in pjs in an earlier post, so I decided just to add a robe and slippers to go with it (Both of which were given to her by her Mother and Vivi respectively, two guesses on who gave her what 😉)

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 18 - Uniform

When she’s not out on cases with the Mystery Skulls or baking up a storm in the kitchen, she attends to the one of her mother’s chain of Flower shops “Leaves of Fancy” - the only place in Tempo where you’re guaranteed to find a miniature jungle of exotic flowers and plants in the baking heat of Texas.

I’m sure all us adults are exactly like Audrey on a day like today when a delicious chocolate bunny is presented to us 🐰🍫🍬🥚

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 16 - Dream

Still an idea I’m toying around with, but basically, when Audrey sleeps, her dream form stays relatively the same as her waking form. As her lantern WELL, that’s still in the works.

OC-Parel April 2022: Day 15 - Exercise

Audrey isn’t a exercise enthusiast by nature but she does her best to keep her body in shape and her mind calm.

After enduring the trauma of losing sight in one eye, one of her doctors recommended taking up a form of mental exercise to help alleviate her stress levels. Her mother, Emily, who was just as stricken as Audrey was at the time, did all her power to properly research all methods of exercise to help her find some emotional and physical grounding - eventually, they began looking up the benefits of studying Tai-Chi, which centers more on mental strengthening rather than physical effort.

After almost two months of rigorous training, Audrey begun a slow but steady recovery into a near stable state of mind. Since then, Audrey has been a dedicated student, doing Tai-Chi almost every morning along with some standard Yoga and basic stretches.
