🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?

Let's start with... Petromy Phelmer!!! He's got 2. His no.1 fear is his irrational/mundane fear, which is that he's a germaphobe, essentially. He doesn't like what he can't kill with a bigger weapon or more wounds. It's doubly worse with parasites, viruses, fungi, and bacteria, because to him (a baby god who hasn't grown into his ephemeral and/or supersized form(s) yet), those tiny life-enders are competition to him, and he's got a lot to stand to lose.

His other no.1 fear is his mother ("Agnatha", "Agnes", "Agatha", or "Nathan" depending on who you're asking). Lol. Lmao. He's a momma's boy and her opinion means everything to him (especially since he wants the inheritance lol)

Aside from those, he's also horrifically body-shy and body-awkward, and will do everything in his power to both appear big and powerful, while also not show a single inch of skin or face (which mostly manifests and being in a diver's suit 99.8% of the time. Yes this also helps with the whole germaphobic thing).

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

OH MAN. OKAY. LIGHTNING ROUND? LIGHTNING ROUND.

Petromy Phelmer - He was my Sunless Seas captain OC/self insert. He has direct inspiration from Lamprey. First thing I decided about him was probably that he was an asshole who found abusing humans amusing.

Barbatos Osswenbower Langermann - Petromy's (stand-in) captain, because I needed someone to take over the role of captain since Petromy hides as an engineer. She was inspired by bearded vultures.

Rhodian - I just wanted to play a centaur in D&D lmao. The first thing I decided about him...? Was probably that he was a paladin.

Mackenzie - I drew a cat-helmet biker once (probably bc Celty Durarara was in my brain), drew her a couple more times, and now in my mind she's the wildcard "Rat Queen", "Cop Killer" of a stereotypical cheesy dystopian futuristic metropolis. First thing I decided about her was her helmet design.

Cornelius - I took a uquiz that told me I was a centuar rogue, so I picked up the challenge and made a centuar rogue. First thing I decided about her was that she was a performer.

Loveday - I needed to come up with an Eberron character. First thing I decided about her was probably that she has prosthetic legs.

❇️ SPARKLE - what is their most prized possession? what do they value?

Petromy - His ship (the SS Calliope) is his darling!! Which is also his body/shell half the time. He values money, power, brute strength, and bigger weapon/army diplomacy.

Rhodian - His most prized possession is probably his cult's crest, since it marks him as a member, and it's also his spellcasting focus. He values fairness, his family, and also his bugbear bestfriend, Gibbs.

Loveday is an artificer and easily loves her alchemy pack more than she loves herself.

📎 PAPERCLIP - a random fact.

Rhodian's a seal brown draft horse standing at 7 feet tall, who trims his hoof hair. He also has a weak constitution to drugs, a mild-to-severe case of motion sickness, and he wont eat apples, oats, or sugarcubes in front of other people.

Petromy's name is Petromy, but he thinks it's too diminutive and will say his name is Petrom.

Mackenzie circles her lowercase "i" dots but also won't draw the line body, and abbreviates her name as "Mcknzie", so when she writes it, it ends up appearing as "Mcknz°e".

My final OC lore dump of the year <3 it took me days to get Neeley looking right and I still don't know if I did it, tbh. I also created a specific font for the Fairy Society Gazette, which will be below the cut. I have no idea why photoshop ate the quality of the text so much when the drawing looks fine, but oh well.

Some info about her!!! (TW, r@cism because Coyle ykyk)

Born in Kenya, 1921. She moved to America when she turned 35. There she had 3 children with an unknown American man who left her to be a single mother. She was in need of money and so she stumbled upon Murkoff’s flyer.

In trials Juali is known to be an amazing negotiator, and so is often used as distraction. Her facial scarring is a result of the first and only time she went in a trial alone (KILL THE SNITCH). Even though she requested the trial to be introductory, Coyle didn’t hold back and burnt the skin on her lower jaw (likely due to Coyle’s r@cism).To prevent glass and dirt infecting the wound, Juali preformed a skin transplant on herself with the nearest body she could find. It was messy due to lack of supplies and Juali’s memory of medical school to be hazy. Every time Coyle sees her he mocks her.

Her relationships with the others are complicated.

-She likes to talk to Cornelius, they share things in common and he doesn’t bother to lie to her.

-Emily is a kind kid, Juali just wishes she got to work in a better place.

-Dorris is complicated, Juali wants to help her get out, but it seems Dorris has other things in mind.

-Juali sees past the Gooseberry persona, and wants to help Phyllis heal. It’s just the alter of Dr. Futterman scares her too bad to try and help. This place takes advantage of the mentally ill and shapes them into monsters.

-Franco is the easiest to negotiate with. After all, all he wants is a mother’s touch. Usually their interactions end up with them striking a deal that Franco can nurse off of Juali for while, whilst the other reagents can get a head start.

Her only goal is to ensure the safety of her children, no matter if it costs her life.

Side note: I really wish that all the prime assets got help instead of Murkoff using their delusions for their own benefit… I truly love all ex pops and prime assets ofc.

Fun facts about Cornelius 🍭🌽

🍭 Quiet, to an almost unsettling degree. Tends to linger in the shadows watching people converse from to a desire of wanting to interact with others, yet refraining out of fear everyone hates them - even if they've never met before.

🌽 Has a talent for pottery and clay figurines. When they are unable to find material to use they will break off bits of their body to use instead. Never leaves home without their sculpting tools. It's best to ignore the red stains on the sharper edges.

🍬 Their tears are made of corn syrup- Crying takes a lot of them as it is also their blood and the substance capable of repairing their body when it's damaged.

🌽 Dislikes smiling with their mouth open due to the color of their teeth.

🍭 If you get upset at them for any reason their brain will jump to the automatic conclusion you hate them and their flavor.

"I already said I'm sorry for stabbing their eye out! Why are you still mad at me? Is it because of how I taste? You can be honest- I won't cry!"

🌽. Their body is extremely moldable. Crafted themselves a horn out of excess material at some point after learning about unicorns because they thought it would be a funny way to break the ice when meeting new people.

"S-see? I'm a uni-corn... Get it?... Why aren't you laughing?"

🍭 Chickens are their favorite animal (shout-out to that one anon who informed me candy corn was originally chicken feed.)
