Redesigning my Sepbox OC because I already started to hate their design, and I learned some more Sepbox lore (I still don't understand it completely ngl

Dr. Alanzi grew up as an only child in a rural Northern town in the Regnum Imperium, they secretly longed to become an artist but their parents had forced them to go through medical school to become a doctor. Their proficient medical skills were proven valuable as they were drafted to become a field medic for Regnum Imperium, during the War of Embers they had suffered an unusual fate involving a landmine blast that sent them hurtling into The Depths.

They had survived the fall into The Depths, but not unharmed. The blast had burned and destroyed the right side of their face, leaving them half-deaf and half-blind. Dr. Alanzi was paralyzed from the waist down and bleeding from bits of shrapnel embedded in their skin, and they would've perished had they not been discovered by a strange Abyssal that calls herself "The Medic" picking them up and slowly nursing them back to health with Dr. Alanzi's advice.

After being discovered by the same search party that recovered Ethan Khan, they had insisted on joining the Vital Force to further learn and research the Abyssals. The treatment Dr. Alanzi had gone through had turned the burnt areas of their skin pitch black and cool to the touch, their right eye had been replaced with an Abyssal eye that can see in the dark and telepathically sense others' illnesses and injuries. John Azoth saw promise in their medical skills and crossbow proficiency, their shadowy skin had piqued his interest as well. He was curious on Dr. Alanzi's time in The Depths, and decided to have Dr. Alanzi join the Vital-Force as a Doctor and Researcher.

ill try not to yap as MUCH since this post has 2 on it but. basizaak ohhhh basizaak.... they are just sooooo opposites which is my bread and butter. i still think it's so funny the way they started basil wasn't even developed as a character yet. and now look at them.

gay old men... one dresses in rainbow and is so outwardly full of love and the other dresses in black and evil scientist green and has never smiled/j but they also just compliment each other so well.... rips up my shirt BASIZAAK . basil and his giant ghoul. izaak and his sparklecat. theg are both insane in their own ways. love wins.

Now. Quiverbolt. crosses my legs as I sit evil-ly in my villain chair and I start laughing uncontrollably.

can I be honest . okay i will be honest I think . quiverbolt is probably my favorite or at least one of my favorites. you don't even know how Much they occupy my mind its. kind of dire.

their dynamic is so funny to me . there's this old manwoman who teaches art she loves her friends and family and she would probably throw herself off a building if it meant one of her kids had a good day. she has a lovely house on the beach with the old lighthouse nearby and has a well maintained car and loves to bake and there's a profound sadness to her.

and then there's this british Italian asshole who works as an agent and shoots people with arrows. hes never had a good day in his life and promotes violence to children. he has a shitty apartment that belongs on r/malelivingspace a motorcycle he takes care of more than himself and the only thing he can make in the kitchen is leftovers and cocktails.

these two people are best friends for years of their lives but the first guy used to have a wife who left him suddenly and she had to raise 4 children without her and she has a terrible time learning to move on and wonders everyday what he did wrong. and the second guy used to be a girl with a husband who was a superhero and he gets murdered and that girl decides to take up his mantle in her grief. that girl eventually transitions and changes so much he wonders if his husband would even love him anymore. they have 2 different stories but they still compliment each other in a way that they are just. Ugh ! when they start dating it's a very big change for both of them but it's both better for them and they just. slams my head against the waaaalllll.

^i actually dont have any art of them on my phone but here's a doodle based on one of my favorite rp moments with them. anyways they call me the yapper.

Chapter 2: Dark Abyss

Jiyan felt like she'd been drifting in darkness forever, as if she were lost in the deepest ocean, with muffled voices and sounds drifting from above. She felt trapped, unable to control her body or move, frozen in the darkness.

Then came flashes of light, and suddenly, she was being moved, some of the weight of darkness lifted.

After what felt like ages, warmth slowly seeped into her body, and she gingerly tested her toes and fingers, feeling the tingling as sensation returned. Her legs felt numb, but the rush of blood brought a prickling sensation to her skin. Her mouth was parched, each swallow like swallowing fire, and her head throbbed relentlessly, pulsating pain through her temples.

Squinting against the brightness, she forced her heavy eyelids open, wincing at the stabbing pain in her head. Gradually, she took in her surroundings. Shewas laying in a hospital bed in the E.R., surrounded by some empty beds and some with close curtain separators. On the other side of the room, in front of her, a nurse tended to an old man.

Attempting to sit up, a wave of dizziness sent her back down to the bed. "What the hell happened?" she muttered to herself. Glancing to the side, she was noticed by a passing nurse.

“Hello dear, welcome back,” she said softly, checking her vitals on the monitor. “Everything looks okay here, I will call the doctor to check on you.”

Jiyan tried to lift herself up again, groaning, only to be stopped by the nurse. “Ah, ah. Just rest for now, okay? Your mobility is getting back but for now just focus on breathing and relaxing.”

“A glass of water?” she rasped.

“We need to wait for the doctor to see if it is safe for you to assume liquids again; your body went through quite the ordeal and is trying to get back to normal.”

“What happened?” she asked, concerned.

“Let’s wait for the doctor, shall we?” the nurse said, avoiding the question as she exited through the curtain, closing it behind her.

Jiyan laid back again and stared at the ceiling, focusing on breathing and suppressing the panic that was rising inside, compressing her chest. After what felt like a few minutes, the nurse returned, soon followed by a doctor in her mid-50s, who closed the curtain separator behind her.

"Hello, dear. I am Dr. Walsh. How are you feeling?" she asked gently, also checking her vitals. The nurse raised the back of the bed, so that Jiyan could be more comfortable and able to have a conversation seated.

"I don’t know… I don’t remember," Jiyan said softly, her panic increasing. “Why don’t I remember?”

Closing her eyes, she tried to piece together how she'd ended up there, but the memories slipped through her fingers like water, leaving her grasping at shadows. She was feeling lost, as if she was in a dream and not in real life.

When she opened her eyes, the doctor looked at her, not betraying any feelings. “Dear, I know it’s confusing, but we will get there, okay? I just need you to trust me for a few minutes. Let’s start easy, shall we? What’s your name?"

“I… Jiyan," she replied, gaining a bit of confidence. "My name is Jiyan Fabris."

“Okay, good. And where are you from?”

“I… it’s complicated, but my citizenship is Italian."

“Alright, and how old are you?” the doctor asked.

“I’m 28.”

The questions continued for some time, and with each answer, Jiyan gained a little more confidence, feeling her anxiety cooling down.

“Okay, now the more difficult part: what day is today?”

There, Jiyan started having some flashes, and she felt her heartbeat quicken. She knew what day it was, had she done something stupid? Had she hurt herself trying to forget?

“It's the 23rd of January, or it was the 23rd of January,” she said, looking at the doctor's watch. “It’s almost 2:30 in the morning.”

“Well, you… For sure we don’t need to call a neurosurgeon to check your brain; you are faster than some of my interns,” the doctor remarked, eliciting a chuckle from the nurse in the corner. “Do you remember what happened today? Start from the morning."

Jiyan recounted her day, from waking up too early to having breakfast and going to the beach for a walk. When she got to the point where she went to the pub, she froze; it’s where everything got fuzzy and confusing.

“Okay, that’s good, Jiyan, you did good,” the doctor said, then sat at the end of her bed. “You arrived here a couple of hours ago in an unconscious state. After a blood exam, we discovered high levels of flunitrazepam, which is a common rape drug. As soon as we knew, we started a treatment to counteract its effects and make you conscious again."

“Rape drug?” Jiyan said, unsure, her voice trembling. “I was raped?”

“Almost” she answered with a grave voice “You arrived here dressed, and there was no sign of forced penetration. The paramedics explained that someone from the pub stopped him before it happened."

Jiyan stayed silent and did not know what to say. The word “rape” was echoing in her head, shutting down any kind of thoughts. She was almost raped. And she still did not know what the hell happened.

The doctor looked at her calmly and with a soft voice said, “Is there someone that we can call? The phone number of your emergency contact was disconnected.”

Jiyan knew perfectly well why the number did not work; she forgot to change it after what happened more than 1 year ago. “No, no, I am here on my own in Ireland.”

“You should still call someone from your family; it is important not to be on your own now,” the nurse interjected.

“I can’t call my mum, she would just worry, and I am fine in the end,” Jiyan tried, and then continued, trying to sound more sure. “It didn't happen, right?”

The stares she got let her know that she was fooling no one.

“It’s just…” she tried again. “What’s gonna happen now?”

The doctor smiled, kind of reassuringly. “You will stay here tonight, under observation. Now that you're awake and we've checked that everything is fine, you will be brought to your room. Tomorrow morning, the police will come here and take your statement; they already called us."

Jiyan grimaced. “Do they know what happened?”

“I am not sure, my dear. I know it’s all very confusing, but for now you need to rest. It is possible that after your system flushes the drug out, you could remember some pieces, but the more you force now, the more you are blocking this process. I know it feels like nothing, but just focus on resting," she said as she got up. "I leave you in the safe hands of Cara; she is our best nurse. We would be lost without her."

Cara snorted, getting closer to the bed to adjust it. “All these compliments will go to my head, boss,” she said sarcastically as the doctor was exiting and closing the separator curtains once again.

“Let’s get you comfortable, my dear, shall we? Are you cold? The flunitrazepam messes with the body temperature regulation," Cara asked, concern evident in her voice.

Jiyan just shook her head.

“Okay then… I will check to see if your room is ready. Just one last thing: there is one of the men that found you in the waiting room. He was worried about you and wanted to wait to see if there was any news," Cara said, looking deeply at her. "You don’t have to talk to him or anything, dear. He left his contact if you need it for later. He just wanted to know if you are okay."

Jiyan looked surprised; the last thing she wanted to do was go back to sleep or rest, as the doctor suggested. She wanted to move, to run, to scream, to regain control of her body. She was scared that if she fell asleep again, she would still feel in her bones that oppressive darkness and the terrifying paralysis.

“Does he know what happened?” she asked hesitantly, noticing she started shaking.

“You really want to know, dear?” Cara asked, looking for a moment at her.

“I need to… I just need to know," she whispered. "Please."

The nurse looked at her deeply, with sympathy. “Alright, then. Before bringing you upstairs, I will check if our Romeo is still in the waiting room. For now, try to rest; I know you don’t want to, but try," she said as she also left her bedside, leaving Jiyan with a looming feeling.

Cillian found himself asking what the hell he was doing.

At 2:30 in the morning, he should have been in bed, asleep, preparing for the upcoming day of rehearsals for the play that awaited him. Instead, he found himself pacing in front of a vending machine, sipping the worst coffee he had ever tasted and feeling utterly foolish.

What the hell had he expected?

When the ambulance arrived, everything happened in a blur. The paramedics swiftly attended to the young woman, rushing her to the nearest ER. Then came the police, gathering statements from everyone present. The group of guys responsible for the altercation had vanished, leaving only a cash payment and no trace.

Cillian and Dermot were among the first to be questioned, their details recorded before being informed to remain available for possible further questioning in the days to come. As soon as the police had concluded their inquiries and gathered what little evidence they could, they departed, leaving a sense of helplessness and frustration lingering in Cillian's mind.

Dermot kindly offered him a ride home. Yet, surprisingly, in the middle of the ride, Cillian asked to be taken to the hospital instead; the one where he eavesdropped on the paramedics while they were closing the doors of the ambulance. Dermot gave him a quizzical look but obliged without saying a word, making a risky U-turn and extracting a promise from Cillian to keep him updated.

At the hospital, reality hit Cillian hard. He wasn’t family, nor was he listed as her emergency contact; he still didn’t even know her name; he was just a stranger who felt compelled to ensure she was okay.

Upon arrival at the ER, the nursing staff immediately stopped him, eyeing him with suspicion. A nurse, looking like she'd been through a battlefield despite her petite and round stature, almost chuckled as she denied him access to see her, which, in retrospect, made sense.

After some persistent pleading from his part and the looming threat of security being called from the nurse, Cillian was directed to an almost empty waiting room, joining a few others awaiting treatment. The only assurance he received was that they would inform the patient of his presence. Additionally, if she wished, they would provide her with his contact information so they could get in touch or arrange a meeting. Plus, they assured him that the patient would have the option to see him if she desired or just let him know that she was fine. It was the best he could hope for, yet it left him feeling resteless.

So there he was, pacing back and forth in front of the vending machine, questioning his own actions. What was he waiting for? He had done his part—helped her, called an ambulance, and tried to provide the police with as many details as he could recall. Letting out a frustrated groan, he completed what felt like the hundredth lap in the waiting room, only to have his thoughts interrupted once again by the same stern nurse.

"Romeo, Juliet just woke up, and after a few explanations, she's asking about you," she announced.

Cillian felt his cheeks flush. "How is she?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. "And she is not��" he began lamely, but the nurse cut him off with a raised hand.

"Let's go, shall we? Whatever explanation you have, you can give it to her now."

Then her demeanour shifted, her voice taking on a more ominous tone. "And if you're some kind of weirdo, just know this: since my husband passed away five years ago, I've been attending boxing classes twice a week. My coach says I have quite the right hook, and I pray every day for an opportunity to exercise it on a real subject." She softened her tone slightly. "The poor girl has already had a night she won't forget. Answer her questions and then leave her alone. Are we clear?"

Cillian nodded, feeling a bead of sweat forming on his brow as he followed the nurse back to the ER.

Halting in front of the curtains that separated him from the hospital bed, Cillian felt a surge of uncertainty. The nurse guiding him turned with a smirk, teasing, "Not feeling too confident now, are we?" She didn't wait for his response before pulling back the curtains, revealing what lay beyond.

It was the second time that night their eyes met, and though he suspected she couldn't recall before on that night, he felt a flicker of recognition. She maintained eye contact, almost like waiting for him to speak.

"Um... Hi," he ventured uncertainly.

"Hi," she replied with a slight smile, though it seemed strained.

"Okay, my dear, I'm going to check on your room. If you need anything," she shot a pointed look at Cillian, "just call my name. Don’t hesitate."

With that, she returned to the nurse station, leaving Cillian at a loss.

He felt he should say something. Anything.

"Um... I'm Cillian," he offered tentatively, as she regarded him silently.

"I was at the pub," he tried again, even less sure of himself.

She broke eye contact, gazing elsewhere. Cillian berated himself internally; he must seem utterly awkward.

"I...," he started before pausing to collect himself. "I'm sorry. I know I probably sound like a weirdo. I was just worried and wanted to make sure you'd be alright."

She met his gaze again with her striking green eyes. Despite the circumstances, Cillian found himself drawn to her.

"I don’t remember anything from the pub," she admitted, her voice raspy with an unfamiliar accent. "Do you know what happened?"

"I'm not sure when you arrived there. My friend Dermot and I got to the pub later than you," he began. "You were playing darts alone, and then some guy approached you. You seemed to handle him fine and sent him back to his table, but when you went to the restroom, he went back to your corner and tampered with your drink. I didn't realise until later, when we found you in the alley behind the pub."

He stopped looking at her and appeared lost, his gaze falling to his shoes.

"I'm so sorry," Cillian said earnestly, meeting her gaze again. "None of us noticed or could have imagined he would do something like that."

She fell silent for a moment, lost in thought, like she was in another dimension.

"And then?" she whispered, her voice sounded more broken.

"We found you with him in the alley and he ran off, almost immediately. We didn't go after him; you were unconscious, so we called an ambulance," he explained.

"Did he...?" she trailed off, unable to finish her sentence.

"I don't think so," Cillian reassured her. "I'm so sorry, um..."

"Jiyan," she interjected, meeting his eyes. "My name is Jiyan."

"Jiyan," Cillian repeated, her name rolling off his tongue, eliciting a smile from him. "Nice to meet you, Jiyan, though I wish it were under better circumstances."

She returned his smile faintly, and Cillian's heart skipped a beat. They shared a few moments simply looking at each other, lost in each other's gaze.

"So, Romeo," the nurse's voice broke the moment, "it's time for you to go. Your room is ready, my dear, and you need rest."

Cillian blushed at the nickname.

"Um, yes, I was just leaving," he replied, turning back to Jiyan. "I left my number at the ER desk. Feel free to reach out if you need anything. Again, I'm sorry for not noticing sooner. I hope you rest well."

Feeling increasingly out of place and unsure of what else to say, Cillian turned and departed, hearing the nurse's voice in the distance, "Oh my dear, hopefully this is the last of the drama for the night."
