Now that I showed how my characters look in SC, how about their fighting styles and how I picked them? It was no less interesting than putting together outfits, I promise (maybe).
For some time I had no idea what these fighting styles were, so I simply chose them for my characters based on weapons and vibes. This game is set in a completely different time and place, so no lightsabers and barely even guns, plus every fighting style is using some type of melee weapons (so tech classes aren't lucky).
Important thing - all the fighting styles are made for the Soul Calibur characters (and some guest characters, like Geralt), there aren't any universal styles that aren't based on an existing character. Considering that I knew nothing about SC characters, I kinda had to guess what style to pick. Of course, every fighting style has a description to help you chose, but ultimately, it's better to test it in a fight.
Sometimes I managed to pick a style perfectly on the first try, and sometimes it took many tests to settle on something. I'll start with characters that were an immediate success.
(fighting styles are named after SC characters that they are designed for)
Shailla (Jedi shadow) - Kilik (heh, took me a while to get used to his name, coming from SWTOR)
That was a quick choice - the style is described as defensive, it utilizes a staff, which is close enough. I would say there are 4 styles that kinda resemble a double-bladed lightsaber, and this one fits Shailla the most. First, it's more of a defensive side, as mentioned before. Second - staff is less lethal than a blade or a scythe, which corresponds with how Shailla usually approaches fights - raise the weapon only for defense, aim to disarm the opponent, not for the kill. Of course, the movements with a staff aren't 100% the same as with a double-bladed lightsaber, but hey, different setting and all.
Imely (Sith assassin) - Zasalamel
Another pretty much perfect choice. Weapon that kinda resembles a double-bladed lightsaber and some purple magic going on - seriously, it's great (although I'd say that scythe is the least resembling of the double lightsaber out of the 4 weapons). The attacks feel powerful while the movement is kept relatively simple, which is fitting, considering that Imely had less time to master the lightsaber (sith inquisitors in general had less time learning the dueling bc of their background as a slave, compared to other Force sensitive characters).
I might've picked a different style before choosing this one, but I kinda don't remember if I did (my memory isn't very nice to me). But if it happened, it was probably Grøh because it resembles the double-bladed lightsaber the most, just the style didn't fit well with Imely, so I switched to Zasalamel and had no regrets. (It also kicks ass, very enjoyable to play)
Kerstes (Sith juggernaut) - Nightmare
Well, simply based on the weapon. After all, in SWTOR Kerstes prefers a big sword to a lightsaber, so the moment I saw the weapon this style utilizes, I picked it.
Overall it's a good match.
Airistan (Jedi guardian) - Mitsurugi
Initially I chose Haohmaru and played with this style for a while, but later decided to try Mitsurugi, and it felt slightly more fitting.
These styles are somewhat similar (using one blade (both use katana, but as soul of Mitsurugi you can choose a different looking blade), some movements having similar animations, hell even the characters are kinda similar looking (they even have some jokes about in the game)). Both styles feel powerful, and the movement of both are a good fit for Airistan. What really sold me on Mitsurugi is the little fire animation during the critical edge attack.
Sometimes I forget that Airistan has the pyrokinesis ability, but when I saw that animation, I knew that this is a better choice. Yeah, technically it's not a first choice, but both styles are close, so at least I wasn't far (unlike with some other characters).
Beirya (Jedi shadow/sentinel) - Grøh
At the moment I still haven't done the stories, but I did know that this style utilizes a double-bladed weapon that splits in two (probably bc I tried it for a different character before, and it didn't fit), so I knew precisely which style to choose for Rya. Since SWTOR isn't anywhere near releasing a new combat style (not to mention something as specific as a double-bladed lightsaber that splits in two), SC version will do.
Vylneer (Sith assassin) - Voldo and Taki
I don't even remember why I chose Voldo initially, but it's still a good choice. Really weird movements that are hard to track, powerful attacks, a lot of acrobatic movements just suit her well, even if weapons are mismatch (in SWTOR Vyl uses a double-bladed lightsaber, here it's two unusual weapons). Though some moves are a bit too silly.
The reason I have two fighting styles for her is secrecy. One style (Voldo) is used when she's on missions as Kallig's apprentice officially (meaning interacting with other Imperials, and they can't know her identity), the other (Taki) - when Vylneer is using her assassin cover. I picked Taki mostly for the fast movements and short blades (they resemble throwing knives a bit).
Vintu (Sith juggernaut) - Nightmare
Wanted him to have a big ass blade in SC, but Nightmare style was already taken, so initially I chose Siegfried, but it wasn't really a good match. So screw it, Vintu is also using Nightmare style. (happened as I wrote this post).
And now some characters that took more tries before I settled on one style:
Jett (mercenary) - Cervantes and Seong Mi-na
First choice was 2B bc the description said something along the lines "utilizes many weapons, ready for anything", and it has a more futuristic vibe. But ultimately, it was exactly the futuristic vibe that made me choose something different - it stands out from the rest world and characters (and yes, I know 2B is a guest character and not even a part of the story).
Then I remembered that I read about a style that has two swords and a gun (a swordgun? gunsword? anyway Ezra Bridger would approve) and thought that it would a better match. And yeah, it's pretty nice. Attacks feel powerful, long reaching, plus a gun (it's not often used, and can be dodged, but at times it's just so good), suits well as a general vibe.
However, I also remembered that while in SWTOR Jett is fighting with blasters and etc., in my headcanon she is using a melee weapon as well (especially in KotFE and onward), and realized that there is a style that uses a very similar weapon in SC. Few silly moves aside, it feels pretty good for Jett - the weapon is quite long reaching (and I can imagine Jett keeping some of the enemies, particularly Force users, at a distance), the movements are fine, and you can feel when she hits the enemy.
And a fun fact that I realized in hindsight - Jett had different people helping her train with a melee weapon, notably Shailla during KotFE (and onwards). In Soul Calibur, Mi-na at some point is taught by someone using Kilik style (not Kilik himself, but from the same martial arts temple). Some moves even have the same or similar animation. Not intentional, but nice coincidence.
Auletta (Sith sorcerer) - Ivy
First choice was Tira.
I'm actually surprised I didn't pick Ivy for Auletta from the beginning, then again, that was when I didn't know anything about the styles. The reason I chose Tira initially is her unique weapon - ring blade (yeah, weird that, Ivy also has a unique weapon). I approached it from this angle: "What if this character existed in SC lore? How would they fight?" And Auletta choosing a unique weapon was one of the reasons.
But then the movements of that style were too acrobatic and aggressive, which is not like Auletta, who, to compensate for the lack of physical strengh and lightsaber training, usually tries to avoid the close quarter fights and keeps the enemy at distance with the Force techniques and clever usage of surroundings. And if it ever comes to a duel, her attacks are calculated and precise. So I started thinking about a fitting style, and it hit me - why not Ivy? I wasn't super familiar with the style or the character, but had some idea what it is like (bc again, tried it with a different character and it wasn't a good match). I wasn't sure, but after trying it, especially properly seeing all the moves, I'm sold.
(the only part that's not very fitting is all the leg kicks, but it's a small part)
Xaele (operative) - Amy
First choice was Taki bc of a short blade (agents and knives, all that) and some acrobatic movements. But the two blades didn't fit, and the speed and strengh of the attacks didn't feel quite like Xaele. However, after acquainting myself with the characters I realized that Amy style would suit Xaele better. Short range weapon, fluid movements and still a good amount of acrobatics made for a good fit. Throwing roses at the enemy is not exactly what Xaele would do, but even that serves a purpose within SC, which suits agents, I think.
Raen (gunslinger) - Sophitia
Now this was a bit of a struggle. Raen is, by far, the least suited for any of these fighting styles bc she's a gunslinger in SWTOR and doesn't fight with mele weapons (or engage in close combat at all). There is Cervantes with one gun, but two swords and overall powerful vibe doesn't suit Raen. At first I chose Taki , but honetsly there no reason behind it other than 'can't think of anything else right now'.
Then I thought: "Gunslingers can hide behind a shield, right? And there are two fighting styles with a shield, maybe try them?". So I looked them up and chose the one that's more offensive (Cassandra) than defensive (Sophitia). But then the attacks felt too punchy and strong for Raen, so I switched to Sophitia, and it suits better (especially evading moves), although still far from a gunslinger.
Zin (mercenary) - Talim
Like with Raen, I had no idea where to start. The fact that Zin is a relatively new character and I'm still figuring out a lot of stuff about him did not help. Chose Hwang just because, and ofc that wasn't it. Then tried Haohmaru, and it still wasn't good.
Then I thought about what his close range fighting style would be like. Decided to try Talim, and honestly, it was fine. Better even, it gave me ideas about his fighting in SWTOR (at least in my headcanon). Mostly it's about the movement and attack speed, a lot of evasive moves and cool weapons that I feel like Zin can actually use.
(also kinda funny that his close range weapons are the opposite of Jett's, who trained him a lot - very close and fast, as opposed to long reaching with strong attacks)
Nevanor (Jedi sentinel) - Taki and Hilde
This one was the hardest to settle.
First choice was Voldo, because of the two weapons, but the movements were not fitting him at all.
Then Talim, for the same reason plus attack speed, but it felt too close range.
Then Cervantes, for the two swords, but the gun and the strengh of the attacks did not fit.
Then Taki, but the first time I didn't stick with this choice.
Then Geralt, for the two swords, but the silver sword is barely used, and movement speed wasn't quick enough.
Then Yoshimitsu, for the two swords and speed, but the movements are too specific and unusual, and the second sword isn't used often either.
And only then Hilde. Because it's kinda got two weapons, right? I really didn't expect much out of this one, but it's really nice. One weapon for close range, the other for long range, both are used often (although not both at the same time, but I can live with that), spear attacks are freaking cool, and there is a good sense of mastery to each move. Plus Hilde is a leader, and I think it can be seen in her presence in the fight (or maybe I'm seeing what I want to see), which is similar to Nevanor being the Alliance Commander.
And it is a nice style for his Commader days, but before that it still didn't feel quite right. Nevanor utilizes Ataru a lot before KotFE, and Hilde's style isn't quick or acrobatic. So I went back to Taki, and the second time it felt more suitable. It's got acrobatics, fast attacks, and both blades are sometimes used together. I think what made it better the second time was knowing that it's not going to be Nevanor's only fighting style.
Bonus:
Valkorion - Azwel
Both are more proficient in supernatural stuff than actual weapons (don't quote me, especially with Valkorion, he is said to have been Zakuul's best warrior before being possessed by Tenebrae). Plus they are both antagonists, both are bosses in boss fights, and when you get to play as either it feels like you're playing a boss level character.
Although, now that I'm thinking about it, Zasalamel could also work, because of time stopping abilities and the fact that both characters are immortal in some way (it's the scythe that I'm not sure about).

Well, since you're asking...
Space Barbie is back! (except not in space lol)
To share how my characters turned out in that other game I need to give some context about why they look like that.
So, the game I tried is Soul Calibur VI, and since it's a fighting game I'm not sure how good they are with customization in general. Some aspects were more limited here than in SWTOR (like facial customization, amount of hairstyles and clothes), while other aspects were better (range of colors, more detailed body customization, goddamn heights aren't tied to body types). It was lots of fun to play with the options given in SC (especially outfits), so here's what I managed to do with my SWTOR characters in this game.
Buckle up, we're in for a long ride.
The first character I tried to make in SC was Auletta (not surprising, she's often the first when I try different character makers). Initially I wanted to recreate her look as close to SWTOR as possible, but quickly realized that it would be hard and aimed to just make her look good and have a similar vibe to the original. I think it turned out pretty good.
Also, while she is the first to be recreated here, this look is not. At first I attempted to create a version of Auletta that comes up much later in my headcanons for the characters (and doesn't even exist in SWTOR yet).
(SWTOR outfit is not final, I just needed to compare with the dark side corruption showing)
At some point she becomes the Empress of the Sith Empire, which prompts an outfit change, and after that the effects of the dark side start showing through in her appearance (though I'm still not sure why now and not earlier). This is where I had a bit of trouble - the outfit I came up with isn't perfect (though still nice looking) because there are some parts that can't be removed or recolored, and there are no alternatives that look as good. So I would remove the fire ornaments on the chestpiece and flowers on the lower part, but add some other patterns to keep the outfit more interesting than pure black clothes.
The most difficult part of making Shailla in SC was facial tattoos (still not sure if they look good enough, but it's probably not going to get better). Finding clothes for her was relatively easy, especially the first outfit. It's supposed to resemble one of Shailla's Jedi robes, and I kinda like the SC version more (just a bit). The second outfit isn't really supposed to resemble anything, I just put it together bc I liked the way it looks, but if we are to compare it to anything, it would be her clothes during the Eternal Throne drama. Maybe.
When making Raen, there were so many outfits to choose from that I decided to not do that and ended up with clothing that fits her vibe (even if it looks pretty different).
Kind of followed the same path with Airistan - instead of copying one of her armors, I put together an outfit that resembles her overall. Plus I think that dark blue colors fit her well, yet in SWTOR I can't work with it because the dye system is lacking.
So far Jett had the most revisions of her armor - I tried 2 or 3 outfits before settling down with this one. Armor in particular is difficult to work with bc it's easy to make it look weird or bad, that's why I had to change hers a couple of times.
When it comes to chiss characters, their eyes in SC look different from SWTOR simply bc there is no option to remove iris and pupil, you can only color it the same as the sclera, in this case both red.
Xaele's outfit is, once again, is less resembling of any particular clothing from SWTOR and more fitting the overall vibe of the character.
Zabraks by far are the most difficult to replicate in this game due to their horns and tattoos - you have to pick the horns as equipment and move and color them manually, and there aren't enough tattoo options to resemble the originals.
I was definitely lazy to replicate Vintu's tattoos properly, so maybe I'll change them later, but for now this is how he turned out. The armor is alright though, I think it resembles him just fine.
When it came to Imely, I wanted to emphasize the difference in her appearance compared to other chiss. To do that, I intentionally made her eyes darker and skin less saturated (saturation goes from 0 to 9, hers is 1, while other chiss characters have saturation from 6 to 9).
This is where the lack of hairstyles also became a problem - Imely is supposed to have curly hair, but nothing in SC fit that (and I barely managed to do Shailla's hair, bc she's also supposed to have curly hair, but at least she usually ties or braids it, while Imely often lets it loose). In the end I just gave her a braid.
The first outfit is kind of a mesh of her clothing as a Sith (and it just looks nice by itself, still one of my favorites), and the second one is supposed to resemble her Outlander outfit (I like that I could make the scarf purple, she would definitely keep something of this color).
Nevanor was a bit of pain to replicate. Pretty sure choosing his hairstyle alone gave me a headache (and the first one is still meh, but that's how hard it is to find something fitting for him). The second outfit had to be revisited twice before I felt like it's good enough. His fighting style was a nightmare to figure out (but that's a topic for another post). But it's worth it because now he's among my favorite recreations.
The first outfit is modeled after one of Nevanor's Jedi clothing, and the second one - after his outfit as the Alliance Commander.
And that's not even all of the characters, I just can't add more than 30 images in one post, so there will be another.
Bonus (as a treat for reading this far):
I also made Valkorion!
Yeah, of all SWTOR characters I could go for, I went for him.
But that's mostly because I learned that you can put characters from creation in a fight against each other, and I wanted to see Valky lose fights again and again.
#the game itself is pretty fun#but the fact that i can make my idiots fight each other makes it infinitely better to me#oc recreation attempts in sc#oc:auletta#oc:shailla#oc:raen#oc:airistan#oc:jett#oc:xaele#oc:vintu aka paininbarass#oc:imely#oc:nevanor

I know it is the end of the spooky season but would any of your OCs enjoy dressing up for Halloween and what in your mind would their costumes be?
@the-raven-of-highever/@raven-of-domain-kwaad ty🧡
Admittedly, I don't know a lot about how people celebrate Halloween and how they dress up (not a big thing here), but I'll try to answer with the knowledge I have.
Also, assuming this is set in our universe (sorta) bc it impacts costume options.
Raen - if going trick or treating, would dress up as a villain from some classic movies (like Freddy Krueger or Ursula, idk why these two, it just works) or be a part of a group set of costumes. When going to parties, would prob go as a skeleton just to replicate the spooky doot meme or say "this really rattles my bones" to pretty much anything. And the costume would be glowing, kinda like this:
Shailla doesn't go to parties or trick or treating, but still dresses up (mostly bc everyone else does). She would go as an antagonistic character from some obscure novel or play, leaving most people confused about what she's supposed to be. Her reason is something like "this character represents the existential dread, the fear of the unknown in all of us, and that's the true horror", to which there is at least one person saying 'lame' and 'nerd'. That doesn't stop her, though.
(Raen might have been one of those people, but if someone else does it, she becomes the biggest defender of Shailla's costume. bc siblings do be like this)
Jett went on trick or treating with Raen when both were young, and usually she's just let Raen plan the outfit. As an adult, Jett would only attend a party if her friends dragged her there (as she would much rather decorate the house, have a spooky story hour or watch horror movies), and her choice of costume would be this fella who repeated "Hey, who turned out the lights?":
No idea how it would look at the party, but seems like something Jett would do (plus kinda close to Raen, since it's a skeleton as well).
If set in SWTOR though, Jett would try to dress as Valkorion to prank people in the Alliance, but others talked her out of this (coz it's not the best idea).
Vintu would just dress as a zombie version of himself (plus makeup and glowing stuff) and then go scare the hell out of some kids to steal their candy. Or a rakghoul version in SW universe.
And Airistan would go with a vampire look - fangs, yellow or red eyes, dramatic clothing, super long nails to imitate claws, etc.
Bonus: Auletta despises the whole thing (bc people treat horror as something fun, and not even the right kind of fun (read: sadistic)), so the only reason she'd dress up is to inflict real horror on people to teach them a lesson. (Pretty sure it's the plot of a movie that I watched but forgot, or one of HISHE videos from Villain Pub series)
#aw thanks for asking! it was fun#and actually gave me an idea for a possible costume (not sure if i'll be able to do it though)#kinda late but what does it matter#swtor#ask game#(well not game but it's the tag)#the-raven-of-highever#oc:raen#oc:shailla#oc:jett#oc:vintu#oc:airistan#oc:auletta#sorry no brainpower for more

Tagged by @palepinkycat to take this quiz for some of my OCs, thank you!
I've taken it many times, but for some of my characters it didn't fit that much or at all, so I'm going with only 3 characters who are close to the results.
Airistan
animal intuition
loyalty is the saint you pray to. if you ever were stabbed in the back by your beloved, you'd probably apologize. to your enemies, you're fierce. to your allies, even fiercer. you cultivate a thick inner circle built on promises and devotion, fit only for the best of the best. it's impossible for most to even begin to dissect the type of person you are, owing to your unbreakable emotional walls and confusing philosophies. dream careers? bodyguard, movie star, unwitting pawn. don't let people get the best of that loyalty.
It's an interesting result because it sort of fits? I think it's closer to her leadership style during the class story and first expansions (before Fallen Empire), when she's loyal to the Republic and willing to go through any lengths to protect it from the Sith. It's true that Airistan are harsh even to allies, since she expects the best results. She definitely leads by example, but not everyone can keep up with her, and she tends to forget this. Also, her behavior and morals are definitely confusing to people around her.
Nevanor
rippling sunset
you're the nicest person i'll ever meet, probably. with an undying passion to protect those who can't protect themselves. you're energetic and bubbly to a fault. it's cute, watching you run around trying to tie up loose ends. i feel bad for you - out of everyone you know, you probably have some of the deepest trauma, more than anyone's aware of. this isn't something that you want attention for at all, and you'd really just rather forget it exists at all... even then, it seems like you can never escape it. i wish you a pleasant rest of your life, full of rippling sunsets and free of prying eyes.
Hoo boy this is so accurate. Nevanor went through a lot before he could become a proper Jedi. He was a slave before a Jedi found him and agreed to teach him, but to do that he had to leave his closest friend behind. That decision always haunted him and caused a lot of emotional problems. The Jedi who found him was a Sith spy, and he recognized Nevanor's potential in the Force and used his guilt, insecurities and negative feelings to bring him closer to the Dark Side, planing in future to bring him to the Empire and turn him Sith. The spy got caught, and Nevanor had to do a lot to convince the Jedi that he wasn't a spy as well and wanted to be trained as a proper Jedi. His desire to use what power and possibilities he has to help and protect others ultimately convinced the Council to agree to train and help him.
It's just the basics of his character, but yeah, the result fits well.
(and if you're wondering when did I get a whole new Jedi Knight - he's not a new character, I've just barely mentioned him, but he ties closely with my next character whom I'm currently hyperfixated on)
Imely
cauterizing rage
the house has burned around you, and you're the only one left standing. is it gratifying to be the survivor? fear and anger are weapons in your capable hands, used only to serve your agenda of fighting back when deemed necessary. you're a powerful person, built from the ashes of your despair and your family's mistakes. with time, you'll bloom into someone softer, like the full blossoms that grow each spring and wither away with the leaves in fall. they won't disappear if take your eyes off of them. you're enough
Not surprised I got this result for her character, it fits perfectly. All the trauma she went through - her mother considering her very existence a mistake, having to pretend to be nobody to her own father, life as a slave (and everything that comes with it), her friend leaving her there (it's a long story) - all that pain that she had to endure alone led to hatred that she was more than willing to use upon arriving to Korriban. Throughout the class story Imely has learned to use her anger and pain against her enemies while not being a complete jerk to everyone else. And as the story goes, she does become softer (in a good sense).
#yeah i'm a little hyperfixated on last two characters#i'm so sorry for taking so long! my brain can't stop procrastinating but i'm trying to make it put thoughts together#(and i remember there's still an ask from you. i promise i haven't forgotten about it)#(i'll try to post the answers tomorrow)#tagged#palepinkycat#oc:airistan#legacy (verse): seinna#oc:nevanor#oc:imely#legacy (verse): sinnomin

First impressions on 7.0 story
I did the story on both Imperial and Republic sides, but only one time, so my thoughts and impressions might change after another replay. In general, it felt lackluster. Not without some bright moments, but 7.0 leaves more questions than answers and confuses me even more.
Spoilers under the cut!
Since I don't have backup characters (not main characters, so if something bugs I won't be disappointed) to experience new story, I took Airistan (DS-neutral Knight, Republic loyalist) and Jett (neutral-light BH, still unsure about loyalist/saboteur thing, both are terrible options for her, so I have 2 versions rolled with different options, today it's Imperial saboteur).
Didn't expect Manaan to be first, kinda figured it would be a story between the overall plot with Malgus and war. I didn't know what to expect from this plotline other than "we need kolto!" for either Republic or Empire, and, honestly, the game didn't get me invested. I don't know how to put it, but when Onslaught came out with the whole deal about Meridian complex, I had a sense of importance of either defending or destroying it. With Manaan I didn't have this feeling. Maybe it was my sleep deprived brain (can't rule it out), maybe it was lack of necessity of this mission in overall plot. Other than one "if we had that kolto shipment we'd get you more soldiers" line, Manaan's story don't have impact on anything else, at least so far. I'm willing to wait until next story updates release and see if the result of mission on Manaan has any more consequences.
Underwater mission was fun though. Gave me a little nostalgia from KOTOR.
New area looks good (even if it burns my computer and I have to lower shadows to get better fps and not hurt my eyes). Also happy about characters using their class ship.
Republic
Glad to see Arn again, congratulations on passing the trials and becoming Knight, even if his doubts are still there. Too bad Airistan can't help him much with his struggles as a Jedi (because she doesn't care about Jedi path).
Colonel Gallo is cool, hope she appears again (but pls don't make me come back to Manaan if it's gonna be so slow again).
Surprised that Airistan chose to save people instead of kolto, but in retrospective it makes sense - kolto isn't exactly a resource that's going extinct, and gaining trust by saving Selkath over kolto can help in future relations with Selkath. Airistan is devoted to win the war by any means, but she is also clever. Usually.
Empire
Ooops, another Dark Councilor is dead on Jett's watch, must be a coincidence. Shouldn't have gotten overly ambitious. In other words, Darth Norok didn't impress me.
Colonel Korrd wasn't super interesting at first, but with time I got more invested. Jett even didn't expose him and told to go Odessen.
Anri is great as always. I felt shame when she said "I know I can trust you".
Kolto was sent to Odessen, but to be fair, Jett would do so regardless of saboteur/loyalist status.
I still have characters ready to do Manaan, so maybe my opinion will change.
(about Darth Nul) "Even so... I struggle to think of anyone else with the power to wipe someone from history so completely" ever heard of Black Codex? (people who main Agents, pls tell me that they make a comment about this)
Then we finally get to the main plot of the, ahem, expansion.
Elom is even better looking, but I could not get through this flashpoint without lowering graphics. A few more updates, and even NASA computers won't handle SWTOR at highest graphics.
Anyway, I'm intrigued by Darth Nul and hope we learn more about her work in future.
Absolutely didn't expect to capture Malgus so early on, seeing how he is the main hype about this expansion, but it's not the last time we see him, plus they seem to focus more on Sa'har now.
Republic
Okay, but you can't convince me that Tau and Lana's bickering isn't them flirting.
New girl gang shot just dropped! (maybe not as iconic, but still cool)
Love all the Jedi who come to capture Malgus. Arn, Tau, Aryn, Gnost-Dural, SATELE HELL YEAH!!!
"Malgus is too dangerous to keep alive. We should kill him while we have the chance" ah yes, good old Airistan, finally back.
Empire
[Not this guy...] Heh, poor Rivix, Jett gives no cares about you.
"If he crosses us, we kill him" even better xD, making life difficult for Acina.
Rivix's interactions with Lana are fun as well.
Was wondering how non Force-users go about Malgus throwing a big ass rock at them (Jedi and Sith simply stop it with the Force and throw back at him), such an iconic slide.
So, Imperial cameos - Xarion, Krovos, as expected; even Acina decided to show up? (or Vowrawn if he's the Emperor, I guess).
As much as Jett enjoyed taunting Malgus on Ossus and Corellia, this time it would be outright asshole behavior, and she kinda understands not wanting to serve the Empire.
Lord Eldrid... hm, name drop and possibility to replace Savik on the Dark Council? I have a feeling we'll see Eldrid again.
In general, story was very short, yet at the same time it felt so long to get there (especially Manaan). I have mixed feelings about it: on one hand, not much happened, and Manaan didn't feel overly important, on another hand, I loved some characters, and story seems to have only started, so here's hoping it gets better with new story releases.
My thoughts on all technical stuff (combat styles, conquest, GS 2 and all that) will be later, as there's still many new things to try.
#this is short and nothing too specific bc i will play more and form my opinion better#swtor#swtor 7.0 spoilers#oc:airistan#oc:jett#manaan felt like a slog tbh#and i was annoyed when we had to backtrack in flashpoint

For Auletta and Airistan (Send me 2+ characters and a number, and I’ll tell you who would win:)
A game of chess
6. A game of twister
12. A rap battle
13. A dance-off/dancing video game
21. Dodgeball/Paintball
That's... an interesting list for sure, I'll try.
1. A game of chess
Oooh, that's a tough one. Auletta is hella smart, and you better bet she has mastered multiple intellectual games just to feed her ego, but then Airistan is a pretty damn good strategist and wouldn't be beaten easily. I think Auletta woud win more rounds, but Airistan would get close to winning (and even make Auletta slightly nervous) every time.
6. A game of twister
Thanks, I can't get a picture of them trying twister out of my head now, it's really awkward xD
Since they are both alright-ish at twister, this is really a matter of who's going to give up first. And the answer is Airistan, simply because of Auletta's sheer refusal to lose (she just have to win everything). Oh, and no Force tricks are allowed (though how this would controlled is a question for another time).
12. A rap battle
looool this is even funnier
I have no answer (sorry), too silly.
13. A dance-off/dancing video game
Something Auletta has never tried is dancing, and one of Airistan's guilty pleasures is dancing, so the winner is obvious (though Airistan is very awkward about it).
21. Dodgeball/Paintball
I'm not sure why these games are in the same ask, they're pretty different, so I'll answer differently for each one.
With dodgeball we have a "an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" situation, Airistan being the unstoppable force (bc of her aggressive tactic and determination to hit) and Auletta being the immovable (unhittable?) object (bc she can dodge pretty much every attack in lightsaber duels, and same applies here). So no idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Paintball is a bit more complex, and it involves some resemblance of military action. While Auletta knows military stuff, Airistan was trained as a soldier, so the latter is a clear winner (I mean Auletta doesn't even know how to shoot).
#i'm sorry i laughed too much at possible rap battle between them#don't take those answers too seriously though#this is for pure fun#ask game#the-raven-of-highever#oc:airistan#oc:auletta#thanks you again for sending asks#it really hepls

Quiz
Shailla - open the floodgates
your frustration turns into tears quickly. the strength of your fury is so potent that it sets off the waterworks out of pure rage. you hate it, because whoever's pissed you off thinks it's funny, like you're not tough and you can't defend yourself. you can, you just need to get through the haze of emotions first
Okay, I didn’t expect it to be more accurate than even I knew. Shailla isn’t an angry type usually, and I struggled to think how would she behave if something actually managed to anger her. This description put it to words better than I could. Anger is an emotion she was taught to be cautious about, and while Shailla is pretty good at handling emotions, anger is a bit more difficult because of the Jedi Code. She realizes that anger is natural but potentially dangerous, so there’s a bit of guilt when she’s angered. She tried to keep under control, but can’t stop feeling it, so it comes out as tears. However, her rage is (I think) never too strong, and she recovers quickly.
Jett - step back
usually, you're able to bottle up your emotions and ignore the frustrations. but, after weeks of shoving everything down, your body needs a release, and i pity the poor person who managed to piss you off. it's screaming crying, shouting, kicking lockers, whatever you can do to get it out of your system. it's a whole jean grey moment, fire and fury blasting out of you
Yeah, pretty much. Jett covers up anger with sarcasm and sass, then unleashes it. She knows this can be hurtful, so she tries to keep something she can break when release happens. Unfortunately that’s not always the case, but if there are people around Jett does everything she can to not hurt them. She gets better at this with years bc she made some stupid decisions or got hurt out of anger in past.
Bonus:
Airistan - the full read
whoever pisses you off is in for a rant that exposes every single one of their deepest insecurities and issues. your rage gives you the clarity to hunt for weak spots in a person's mind. your brain works fast, firing off insults at a rapid-fire pace that terrifies everyone within a ten mile radius. this is usually followed by buckets of guilt
I wan’t planning on adding a third character, but the first result I got for Jett didn’t exactly fit her. Then I realised it’s accurate for Airistan, so might as well inlcude her. As much as I make Jett sassy, she almost never wants to insult people, but Airistan... well, she’s not afraid to speak her mind, even if it’s not good, and usually does so when angered. And oh boy does she have negative opinion on many subjects and people. Doesn’t mean she won’t regret some of it in future, but it took her years after class story to start working on the issue.
#swtor#tagged#oc:shailla#oc:jett#oc:airistan#i like this one#gave me some clarification about shailla (and i do want to expand on her character)#my characters are bunch of emotional mess... wonder why#(raen and shailla are rare exceptions to this)#legacy (verse): lette#legacy (verse): seinna

[Vinyor Tesh: Before we begin, I must speak plainly. I don't believe we should include anyone in this meeting who is no longer a part of the Jedi Order (referring to Aryn)]
I'm screaming
For the context: because the game doesn't count my personal headcanons (which is a problem I'd love to talk about with devs one day, but I digress), Airistan accepted the offer for the Alliance to become a part of the Republic (wonder who she'd approve as a senator), and since that deal had rejoining the Jedi Order, Vinyor's statement does not apply to Airistan in game. However, no way she would be a Jedi again, so hearing this line made me laugh like sure, if you think you can handle Malgus all by yourself, be my guest.
If there's anyone who kept the Alliance separate on a Jedi character, can you tell me if Vinyor also refers to your character? (because if not it's even funnier)

The SWTOR OC Hugging Challenge!
Dear tumblr, thanks for nothing. Didn't see I was tagged by @chaoticspacefam in notifications, luckily I saw the post myself.
Tagging (no pressure): @palepinkycat, @vespertine-legacy, @cyrraluu, @raven-of-domain-kwaad and back tag for @chaoticspacefam (for more characters :)
Rules: For each of your OCs, rate how cuddle-able they are on a scale of 1-10.
Since I have so many characters that I even forgot the number, I'll rate 7 OCs from one legacy (minus trooper) and my other two Outlanders.
Kyira (JK): 7/10 (later goes to 2/10). Wouldn't hug strangers unless they need comforting (idk, maybe someone is scared), but occasionally gives warm hugs to Jedi friends and close ones, slightly awkward about it though.
Shailla (JC): 8/10. Gives really good hugs, gives just the right amount of daily hugs required for good mood (whatever this number is supposed to be, obv more than 0) to friends, would comfort strangers with cuddles if needed.
Raen (smuggler): 10/10, loves to jumpscare with hugs sometimes. The only people safe from cuddles are enemies (until they're adopted, then thay have to go through initiation of group hugs).
Iressa (SW): 1/10, only reluctantly received a couple of hugs from Vette.
POV: you tried to hug Darth Nox. In other words, 0/10, Auletta doesn't allow anyone to touch her at all.
Jett (BH): 5/10, actually a sucker for hugs, but only really gives or receives them as she forms relationships with the crew, still awkward about receiving them.
Xaele (IA): 3/10, not used to cuddling, but could fake it for the job. Doesn't initiate hugs, but receives them sometimes from Vector (I imagine) and later from members of the Alliance.
Airistan (JK): 6/10, wouldn't hug strangers, but cuddles quite often with family members or close friends.
Vintu (SW): 0/10, but only because hugs aren't his way to express affection (or anything), for that he as biting, threats, fistfight, manhunt, murder.
#yes i remember about asks i'll get to them as soon as i can#boy i have so many un-cuddle-able characters#(maybe if i get tagged again i'll rate more idiots)#swtor#tagged#oc:kyira#oc:shailla#oc:raen#oc:iressa#oc:auletta#oc:jett#oc:xaele#oc:airistan#oc:vintu aka paininbarass#legacy (verse): lette#legacy (verse): seinna
