OC Tag Game
Tagged by @raven-of-domain-kwaad, thank you! I'll be keeping it within SWTOR characters since I just focus on them here.
No pressure tag (if you feel like it): @vespertine-legacy, @astrifer-bound, @mmigrainee, @chaoticspacefam, @spitzobsessed
Favorite OC - Jett
Tumblr media
Not surprising. As much as I love my other characters (Auletta don't kill me), Jett just gotta be my favorite. Bounty hunter storyline being one of my favorites definitely affects this, but there is much more to this. She is this 'tough on the outside, softie on the inside' type of character that I just adore, I love her personal arcs about trauma, meaningful connections and leadership. And of course strong badass Mando women are just cool and get an instant liking from me :) I can go on for hours on this, but let's move on.
More under the cut.
Newest OC - Beirya and Zin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had more ideas for new characters after I made Rya and Zin, but they are not yet actual characters that I plan to develop. So these two are my newest at the moment.
Oldest OC - Auletta
Tumblr media
Technically, the first character I ever rolled in SWTOR was smuggler, but I didn't keep her in any way, so it's Auletta. Although she looked slightly different and was assassin instead of sorcerer in the game (which doesn't fit her background), the core of her character remained the same.
Meanest OC - Jaria
Tumblr media
It's a tough spot between some of my characters, but when others can be polite or maybe it's not their nature to be rude (they just do it for others reasons), Jaria is unapologetically mean to people almost all the time (only shutting up if it saves her skin or gives an advantage).
Softest OC - Shailla and Lorri
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(there are actually two more but I wanted to keep it short)
They are just so kind and gentle, striving to do more good in this imperfect galaxy. I mean, there is a reason why Lorri is often considered the heart of her little found family.
Most aloof/standoffish OC - Xaele and Jaria
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Xaele in general is pretty distant from the world and even her own actions, which fit well for agent's life. And Jaria is, honestly, pretty mistrusting, and after being separated from her sister, probably the only person she gave a Hutt about, Jaria couldn't form meaningful connections with other people, so she's a loner. Plus she's mostly interested in self-gain and money, and she doesn't care how she gets it.
Dumbest (affectionate) OC - Vintu
Tumblr media
Well, there may be others, but no one radiates chaotic dumbass energy like Vintu (yeah, not even smugglers, though they are close). Just look at his dumb face.
Smartest OC - Auletta and Elixess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would betray Auletta by not including her here. She is a quick learner, a schemer, always hungry for knowledge and information. She's very good at using all available knowledge and information to get the best out of her situation, whatever it might be (back in slavery, in Sith Academy, Dark Council, you name it). The only period when Auletta made kinda dumb decisions was around chapters 1 and 2 of Inquisitor storyline, mostly bc she was drunk on power and freedom, testing how far she can go. But when she failed to kill Thanaton for the second time, Auletta adapted and got the best out of it.
Elixess is similar in many ways, except she doesn't have the same malicious intent as Auletta and maybe not as nerdy. She is a quick thinker, which helps her talk her way out of most trouble and see possibilities for profit. Also, I just thought having a smuggler as one of the smartest characters is funny.
(actually, there are more characters who are on the same level, but I wanted to mention these two)
Horniest OC - Vintu and Jaria
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jaria just likes to flirt around and have one-night stands almost every time she visits a new place (Mako got tired of it real quick). Shame that bounty hunters don't have a lot of flirt options with NPCs other than companions. And Vintu... well, for my own sanity we have an agreement - he doesn't tell much about his private life, and I don't get to know much about it. Let's just say that when he's with Jaesa they are very active, and even after he's done with her, Vintu still hits on a lot of people.
OC you'd bang - none
I'm way too asexual for that.
OC you'd be best friends with - Raen and Alaine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of them are great friend material. Raen shares some of my interests (that weren't a bit of self-insert to begin with, no no), so she can tolerate a bit of infodumping about special interests from me. She's generally fun to be around, except for maybe when she's being chased by law enforcement or when she's sleeping. Plus we might have 'introvert adopted by an extrovert' dynamiс in a good way.
Alaine is someone I could trust to discuss a lot of complicated topics without being judged harshly. And she's a good person and a reliable friend in general, so great to have her as a friend. Alaine is more of "calls me out on my shit" friend, and Raen is more of "tags along with my shit" friend, and I definitely need both these types of friends.

Omg these are all perfect!
What would any of your characters (aside from Moxie, obviously) think of Vintu?
Aww, Vintu, my boy <3
I mean, Moxie obviously loves him, they’re best bros for life.
Mena and Sija would work with him, but probably think he was a little much, unless Moxie was there to keep him in check, since he’s slightly less murder-as-a-first-resort when she’s around
Raz would probably avoid him unless she had to work with him, since she prefers not to work with Sith (except mara!Shara, of course)
Mahzarin, Tulia, and Zuvi would all probably try to sleep with him, tbh (he’s got cute kitty-face, nice deep voice, he’s strong, and no pesky “morals” to tie him down)
Khy, Jury, and Nulis would all love the idea of Vintu, but the actuality of it would be very annoying for them, since they’re all pretty efficient and clean and rule-following overall, so Vintu’s antics would probably get on their nerves (though Nulis would have a great time at a bar with Vintu, I bet).
Coda would probably buy Vintu a drink and trade stories of their dumbest exploits.
I think Vysh would try her damndest to see the best in Vintu. Like, “I will find the good in this man if it kills me.” (Moxie in the background like, “please stop before you break something”).
Most of my pub toons would probably just avoid Vintu.

As always with Vintu, I forgot that some of his companions are still wearing dresses from Alliance's official Dress Day and didn't switch back to their normal outfits. So I was kinda looking towards seeing Shae facing Heta in a dress, but the game decided that this is unacceptable and kept showing her in armor during cutscenes, despite her still being in a dress outside the cutscenes. Ugh, we were so close to a glorious showdown.

Now that I showed how my characters look in SC, how about their fighting styles and how I picked them? It was no less interesting than putting together outfits, I promise (maybe).
For some time I had no idea what these fighting styles were, so I simply chose them for my characters based on weapons and vibes. This game is set in a completely different time and place, so no lightsabers and barely even guns, plus every fighting style is using some type of melee weapons (so tech classes aren't lucky).
Important thing - all the fighting styles are made for the Soul Calibur characters (and some guest characters, like Geralt), there aren't any universal styles that aren't based on an existing character. Considering that I knew nothing about SC characters, I kinda had to guess what style to pick. Of course, every fighting style has a description to help you chose, but ultimately, it's better to test it in a fight.
Sometimes I managed to pick a style perfectly on the first try, and sometimes it took many tests to settle on something. I'll start with characters that were an immediate success.
(fighting styles are named after SC characters that they are designed for)
Shailla (Jedi shadow) - Kilik (heh, took me a while to get used to his name, coming from SWTOR)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That was a quick choice - the style is described as defensive, it utilizes a staff, which is close enough. I would say there are 4 styles that kinda resemble a double-bladed lightsaber, and this one fits Shailla the most. First, it's more of a defensive side, as mentioned before. Second - staff is less lethal than a blade or a scythe, which corresponds with how Shailla usually approaches fights - raise the weapon only for defense, aim to disarm the opponent, not for the kill. Of course, the movements with a staff aren't 100% the same as with a double-bladed lightsaber, but hey, different setting and all.
Imely (Sith assassin) - Zasalamel
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another pretty much perfect choice. Weapon that kinda resembles a double-bladed lightsaber and some purple magic going on - seriously, it's great (although I'd say that scythe is the least resembling of the double lightsaber out of the 4 weapons). The attacks feel powerful while the movement is kept relatively simple, which is fitting, considering that Imely had less time to master the lightsaber (sith inquisitors in general had less time learning the dueling bc of their background as a slave, compared to other Force sensitive characters).
I might've picked a different style before choosing this one, but I kinda don't remember if I did (my memory isn't very nice to me). But if it happened, it was probably Grøh because it resembles the double-bladed lightsaber the most, just the style didn't fit well with Imely, so I switched to Zasalamel and had no regrets. (It also kicks ass, very enjoyable to play)
Kerstes (Sith juggernaut) - Nightmare
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, simply based on the weapon. After all, in SWTOR Kerstes prefers a big sword to a lightsaber, so the moment I saw the weapon this style utilizes, I picked it.
Overall it's a good match.
Airistan (Jedi guardian) - Mitsurugi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially I chose Haohmaru and played with this style for a while, but later decided to try Mitsurugi, and it felt slightly more fitting.
These styles are somewhat similar (using one blade (both use katana, but as soul of Mitsurugi you can choose a different looking blade), some movements having similar animations, hell even the characters are kinda similar looking (they even have some jokes about in the game)). Both styles feel powerful, and the movement of both are a good fit for Airistan. What really sold me on Mitsurugi is the little fire animation during the critical edge attack.
Sometimes I forget that Airistan has the pyrokinesis ability, but when I saw that animation, I knew that this is a better choice. Yeah, technically it's not a first choice, but both styles are close, so at least I wasn't far (unlike with some other characters).
Beirya (Jedi shadow/sentinel) - Grøh
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the moment I still haven't done the stories, but I did know that this style utilizes a double-bladed weapon that splits in two (probably bc I tried it for a different character before, and it didn't fit), so I knew precisely which style to choose for Rya. Since SWTOR isn't anywhere near releasing a new combat style (not to mention something as specific as a double-bladed lightsaber that splits in two), SC version will do.
Vylneer (Sith assassin) - Voldo and Taki
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't even remember why I chose Voldo initially, but it's still a good choice. Really weird movements that are hard to track, powerful attacks, a lot of acrobatic movements just suit her well, even if weapons are mismatch (in SWTOR Vyl uses a double-bladed lightsaber, here it's two unusual weapons). Though some moves are a bit too silly.
The reason I have two fighting styles for her is secrecy. One style (Voldo) is used when she's on missions as Kallig's apprentice officially (meaning interacting with other Imperials, and they can't know her identity), the other (Taki) - when Vylneer is using her assassin cover. I picked Taki mostly for the fast movements and short blades (they resemble throwing knives a bit).
Vintu (Sith juggernaut) - Nightmare
Tumblr media
Wanted him to have a big ass blade in SC, but Nightmare style was already taken, so initially I chose Siegfried, but it wasn't really a good match. So screw it, Vintu is also using Nightmare style. (happened as I wrote this post).
And now some characters that took more tries before I settled on one style:
Jett (mercenary) - Cervantes and Seong Mi-na
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First choice was 2B bc the description said something along the lines "utilizes many weapons, ready for anything", and it has a more futuristic vibe. But ultimately, it was exactly the futuristic vibe that made me choose something different - it stands out from the rest world and characters (and yes, I know 2B is a guest character and not even a part of the story).
Then I remembered that I read about a style that has two swords and a gun (a swordgun? gunsword? anyway Ezra Bridger would approve) and thought that it would a better match. And yeah, it's pretty nice. Attacks feel powerful, long reaching, plus a gun (it's not often used, and can be dodged, but at times it's just so good), suits well as a general vibe.
However, I also remembered that while in SWTOR Jett is fighting with blasters and etc., in my headcanon she is using a melee weapon as well (especially in KotFE and onward), and realized that there is a style that uses a very similar weapon in SC. Few silly moves aside, it feels pretty good for Jett - the weapon is quite long reaching (and I can imagine Jett keeping some of the enemies, particularly Force users, at a distance), the movements are fine, and you can feel when she hits the enemy.
And a fun fact that I realized in hindsight - Jett had different people helping her train with a melee weapon, notably Shailla during KotFE (and onwards). In Soul Calibur, Mi-na at some point is taught by someone using Kilik style (not Kilik himself, but from the same martial arts temple). Some moves even have the same or similar animation. Not intentional, but nice coincidence.
Auletta (Sith sorcerer) - Ivy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First choice was Tira.
I'm actually surprised I didn't pick Ivy for Auletta from the beginning, then again, that was when I didn't know anything about the styles. The reason I chose Tira initially is her unique weapon - ring blade (yeah, weird that, Ivy also has a unique weapon). I approached it from this angle: "What if this character existed in SC lore? How would they fight?" And Auletta choosing a unique weapon was one of the reasons.
But then the movements of that style were too acrobatic and aggressive, which is not like Auletta, who, to compensate for the lack of physical strengh and lightsaber training, usually tries to avoid the close quarter fights and keeps the enemy at distance with the Force techniques and clever usage of surroundings. And if it ever comes to a duel, her attacks are calculated and precise. So I started thinking about a fitting style, and it hit me - why not Ivy? I wasn't super familiar with the style or the character, but had some idea what it is like (bc again, tried it with a different character and it wasn't a good match). I wasn't sure, but after trying it, especially properly seeing all the moves, I'm sold.
(the only part that's not very fitting is all the leg kicks, but it's a small part)
Xaele (operative) - Amy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First choice was Taki bc of a short blade (agents and knives, all that) and some acrobatic movements. But the two blades didn't fit, and the speed and strengh of the attacks didn't feel quite like Xaele. However, after acquainting myself with the characters I realized that Amy style would suit Xaele better. Short range weapon, fluid movements and still a good amount of acrobatics made for a good fit. Throwing roses at the enemy is not exactly what Xaele would do, but even that serves a purpose within SC, which suits agents, I think.
Raen (gunslinger) - Sophitia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now this was a bit of a struggle. Raen is, by far, the least suited for any of these fighting styles bc she's a gunslinger in SWTOR and doesn't fight with mele weapons (or engage in close combat at all). There is Cervantes with one gun, but two swords and overall powerful vibe doesn't suit Raen. At first I chose Taki , but honetsly there no reason behind it other than 'can't think of anything else right now'.
Then I thought: "Gunslingers can hide behind a shield, right? And there are two fighting styles with a shield, maybe try them?". So I looked them up and chose the one that's more offensive (Cassandra) than defensive (Sophitia). But then the attacks felt too punchy and strong for Raen, so I switched to Sophitia, and it suits better (especially evading moves), although still far from a gunslinger.
Zin (mercenary) - Talim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like with Raen, I had no idea where to start. The fact that Zin is a relatively new character and I'm still figuring out a lot of stuff about him did not help. Chose Hwang just because, and ofc that wasn't it. Then tried Haohmaru, and it still wasn't good.
Then I thought about what his close range fighting style would be like. Decided to try Talim, and honestly, it was fine. Better even, it gave me ideas about his fighting in SWTOR (at least in my headcanon). Mostly it's about the movement and attack speed, a lot of evasive moves and cool weapons that I feel like Zin can actually use.
(also kinda funny that his close range weapons are the opposite of Jett's, who trained him a lot - very close and fast, as opposed to long reaching with strong attacks)
Nevanor (Jedi sentinel) - Taki and Hilde
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one was the hardest to settle.
First choice was Voldo, because of the two weapons, but the movements were not fitting him at all.
Then Talim, for the same reason plus attack speed, but it felt too close range.
Then Cervantes, for the two swords, but the gun and the strengh of the attacks did not fit.
Then Taki, but the first time I didn't stick with this choice.
Then Geralt, for the two swords, but the silver sword is barely used, and movement speed wasn't quick enough.
Then Yoshimitsu, for the two swords and speed, but the movements are too specific and unusual, and the second sword isn't used often either.
And only then Hilde. Because it's kinda got two weapons, right? I really didn't expect much out of this one, but it's really nice. One weapon for close range, the other for long range, both are used often (although not both at the same time, but I can live with that), spear attacks are freaking cool, and there is a good sense of mastery to each move. Plus Hilde is a leader, and I think it can be seen in her presence in the fight (or maybe I'm seeing what I want to see), which is similar to Nevanor being the Alliance Commander.
And it is a nice style for his Commader days, but before that it still didn't feel quite right. Nevanor utilizes Ataru a lot before KotFE, and Hilde's style isn't quick or acrobatic. So I went back to Taki, and the second time it felt more suitable. It's got acrobatics, fast attacks, and both blades are sometimes used together. I think what made it better the second time was knowing that it's not going to be Nevanor's only fighting style.
Bonus:
Valkorion - Azwel
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both are more proficient in supernatural stuff than actual weapons (don't quote me, especially with Valkorion, he is said to have been Zakuul's best warrior before being possessed by Tenebrae). Plus they are both antagonists, both are bosses in boss fights, and when you get to play as either it feels like you're playing a boss level character.
Although, now that I'm thinking about it, Zasalamel could also work, because of time stopping abilities and the fact that both characters are immortal in some way (it's the scythe that I'm not sure about).

Tumblr media
Well, since you're asking...
Space Barbie is back! (except not in space lol)
To share how my characters turned out in that other game I need to give some context about why they look like that.
So, the game I tried is Soul Calibur VI, and since it's a fighting game I'm not sure how good they are with customization in general. Some aspects were more limited here than in SWTOR (like facial customization, amount of hairstyles and clothes), while other aspects were better (range of colors, more detailed body customization, goddamn heights aren't tied to body types). It was lots of fun to play with the options given in SC (especially outfits), so here's what I managed to do with my SWTOR characters in this game.
Buckle up, we're in for a long ride.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first character I tried to make in SC was Auletta (not surprising, she's often the first when I try different character makers). Initially I wanted to recreate her look as close to SWTOR as possible, but quickly realized that it would be hard and aimed to just make her look good and have a similar vibe to the original. I think it turned out pretty good.
Also, while she is the first to be recreated here, this look is not. At first I attempted to create a version of Auletta that comes up much later in my headcanons for the characters (and doesn't even exist in SWTOR yet).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(SWTOR outfit is not final, I just needed to compare with the dark side corruption showing)
At some point she becomes the Empress of the Sith Empire, which prompts an outfit change, and after that the effects of the dark side start showing through in her appearance (though I'm still not sure why now and not earlier). This is where I had a bit of trouble - the outfit I came up with isn't perfect (though still nice looking) because there are some parts that can't be removed or recolored, and there are no alternatives that look as good. So I would remove the fire ornaments on the chestpiece and flowers on the lower part, but add some other patterns to keep the outfit more interesting than pure black clothes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most difficult part of making Shailla in SC was facial tattoos (still not sure if they look good enough, but it's probably not going to get better). Finding clothes for her was relatively easy, especially the first outfit. It's supposed to resemble one of Shailla's Jedi robes, and I kinda like the SC version more (just a bit). The second outfit isn't really supposed to resemble anything, I just put it together bc I liked the way it looks, but if we are to compare it to anything, it would be her clothes during the Eternal Throne drama. Maybe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When making Raen, there were so many outfits to choose from that I decided to not do that and ended up with clothing that fits her vibe (even if it looks pretty different).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kind of followed the same path with Airistan - instead of copying one of her armors, I put together an outfit that resembles her overall. Plus I think that dark blue colors fit her well, yet in SWTOR I can't work with it because the dye system is lacking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So far Jett had the most revisions of her armor - I tried 2 or 3 outfits before settling down with this one. Armor in particular is difficult to work with bc it's easy to make it look weird or bad, that's why I had to change hers a couple of times.
Tumblr media
When it comes to chiss characters, their eyes in SC look different from SWTOR simply bc there is no option to remove iris and pupil, you can only color it the same as the sclera, in this case both red.
Xaele's outfit is, once again, is less resembling of any particular clothing from SWTOR and more fitting the overall vibe of the character.
Tumblr media
Zabraks by far are the most difficult to replicate in this game due to their horns and tattoos - you have to pick the horns as equipment and move and color them manually, and there aren't enough tattoo options to resemble the originals.
I was definitely lazy to replicate Vintu's tattoos properly, so maybe I'll change them later, but for now this is how he turned out. The armor is alright though, I think it resembles him just fine.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When it came to Imely, I wanted to emphasize the difference in her appearance compared to other chiss. To do that, I intentionally made her eyes darker and skin less saturated (saturation goes from 0 to 9, hers is 1, while other chiss characters have saturation from 6 to 9).
This is where the lack of hairstyles also became a problem - Imely is supposed to have curly hair, but nothing in SC fit that (and I barely managed to do Shailla's hair, bc she's also supposed to have curly hair, but at least she usually ties or braids it, while Imely often lets it loose). In the end I just gave her a braid.
The first outfit is kind of a mesh of her clothing as a Sith (and it just looks nice by itself, still one of my favorites), and the second one is supposed to resemble her Outlander outfit (I like that I could make the scarf purple, she would definitely keep something of this color).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nevanor was a bit of pain to replicate. Pretty sure choosing his hairstyle alone gave me a headache (and the first one is still meh, but that's how hard it is to find something fitting for him). The second outfit had to be revisited twice before I felt like it's good enough. His fighting style was a nightmare to figure out (but that's a topic for another post). But it's worth it because now he's among my favorite recreations.
The first outfit is modeled after one of Nevanor's Jedi clothing, and the second one - after his outfit as the Alliance Commander.
And that's not even all of the characters, I just can't add more than 30 images in one post, so there will be another.
Bonus (as a treat for reading this far):
Tumblr media
I also made Valkorion!
Yeah, of all SWTOR characters I could go for, I went for him.
But that's mostly because I learned that you can put characters from creation in a fight against each other, and I wanted to see Valky lose fights again and again.

Outfit meme for Vintu 😍
Angry tomato my beloved
Vintu, as dramatic as he is, has 7 outfit slots (which seems to be a criminally small number for him), but one of slots was replaced with another outfit bc I didn't like it much. 3 outfits are story related, 1 semi story related, and 3 are purely for fun.
Tumblr media
This the earliest outfit (story wise) he has. Vintu wears this after chapter 1. Vintu likes to have more armored clothes in a battlefield (basically bc he's a tank in game; but character-wise bc he relies on brute strength and the Force to enhance attacks) and lots of black color. All pieces are from Sith Annihilator set (from adaptive armor vendor), except for belt (this particular belt is called Decorated Bulwark's belt MK-2, but there are many similar belts on gtn or from drops or from story quests).
Tumblr media
The next in timeline is this, somewhat close to Sith armor from cinematics. Vintu gets to wear this after chapter 3 of class story. Many armored pieces in black color with bits of red (bc he's a tomato), but without a cape (as much as capes make for a good dramatic effect, they kinda get in the way during combat).
Pretty sure all pieces are from GTN, just bought Fortified Electrum chestguard (with black and deep red dye, colors are unified for all pieces) and then found matching pieces (usually in medium or heavy armor sections of GTN).
Tumblr media
Then his Commander outfit. It still has the same idea of having armored pieces for protection (but slightly less) and lots of reds and blacks, just looking a bit more... elegant for lack of better word.
Chestpiece, gloves, boots come from KotFE chapters rewards, pants are Outlander's pants (very cheap on GTN, drop regularly between lvls 60 and 70), belt is Experimental Ossan belt (was a drop), all but gloves dyed in dark red and black.
Tumblr media
The semi story related one - I only equipped this set once when Vintu and Moxie roasted to shit out of each other. Literally set each other on fire (shoutout to @vespertine-legacy for going with this idea, though it was ages ago). But! Since this is the exact same clothes Malora wears on Ossus, I've decided that Vintu arrived with this look just to irritate her.
The set is Resilient Warden with black and deep red dye.
Tumblr media
Now we get to the fun ones. When I first tried Nightlife event the last year I couldn't decide who'd get the iconic "tits out" clothes, and then it hit me - chaotic dumbass tomato! Not story related, but if there's a celebration, Vintu would have those.
Pieces:
Chest: Nightlife Socialite top
Hands: Gav Daragon's gauntlets (color not unified)
Wrists: Gav Daragon's bracers (color not unified)
Waist: Experimental Ossan belt
Pants: Juhani's leggins (with black and deep blue dye)
Boots: Onderonian Bulwark boots
Tumblr media
Christmas Life Day tree but it's Vintu in a dress. I just wanted him to have this dress. Also, this was the beginning of Alliance's Dress Day, where everybody on the base had to wear this dress, no complaints. Many people seem to mysteriously have business on other planets this day, I wonder if there's a connection.
All pieces are from Festival Dress set with deep green and dark blue dye (the secondary color is irrelevant, since it doesn't even show).
Tumblr media
And finally, chef Vintu! Head is Feast Preparation hat (from Feast of Prosperity event, can't wait for it to come back), everything else is Arctic Scout set with white and light gray dye module.
Tumblr media
P.S. I'm still pissed that Vintu physically can't wear dancer's outfit (have to use imagination, I guess)

I saw @vespertine-legacy doing this and my stupid brain immediately demanded to do the same. I tried to resist, but failed miserably.
Bonus: Jaria isn’t exactly in a relationship, but she definitely got this message once.

The SWTOR OC Hugging Challenge!
Dear tumblr, thanks for nothing. Didn't see I was tagged by @chaoticspacefam in notifications, luckily I saw the post myself.
Tagging (no pressure): @palepinkycat, @vespertine-legacy, @cyrraluu, @raven-of-domain-kwaad and back tag for @chaoticspacefam (for more characters :)
Rules: For each of your OCs, rate how cuddle-able they are on a scale of 1-10.
Since I have so many characters that I even forgot the number, I'll rate 7 OCs from one legacy (minus trooper) and my other two Outlanders.
Tumblr media
Kyira (JK): 7/10 (later goes to 2/10). Wouldn't hug strangers unless they need comforting (idk, maybe someone is scared), but occasionally gives warm hugs to Jedi friends and close ones, slightly awkward about it though.
Tumblr media
Shailla (JC): 8/10. Gives really good hugs, gives just the right amount of daily hugs required for good mood (whatever this number is supposed to be, obv more than 0) to friends, would comfort strangers with cuddles if needed.
Tumblr media
Raen (smuggler): 10/10, loves to jumpscare with hugs sometimes. The only people safe from cuddles are enemies (until they're adopted, then thay have to go through initiation of group hugs).
Tumblr media
Iressa (SW): 1/10, only reluctantly received a couple of hugs from Vette.
Tumblr media
POV: you tried to hug Darth Nox. In other words, 0/10, Auletta doesn't allow anyone to touch her at all.
Tumblr media
Jett (BH): 5/10, actually a sucker for hugs, but only really gives or receives them as she forms relationships with the crew, still awkward about receiving them.
Tumblr media
Xaele (IA): 3/10, not used to cuddling, but could fake it for the job. Doesn't initiate hugs, but receives them sometimes from Vector (I imagine) and later from members of the Alliance.
Tumblr media
Airistan (JK): 6/10, wouldn't hug strangers, but cuddles quite often with family members or close friends.
Tumblr media
Vintu (SW): 0/10, but only because hugs aren't his way to express affection (or anything), for that he as biting, threats, fistfight, manhunt, murder.

Note
I always wanna see more Vintu content. But also like seeing more Raen whenever she’s around!
Aw, I feel so bad about not having Vintu here (he sits in back of my mind, growling and demanding attention). I do plan on posting about his misadventures in main plot, but for now I don't have much, unfortunately.
Tumblr media
Vintu is dumb and chaotic enough to use lightsaber for things it's not supposed to be used for, like roasting meat (because "it's faster than cooking", and he's a busy person and doesn't allow anyone else to cook his meals) or drawing inappropriate things or words on walls (pretty sure he made some bad words on cantina walls outside for not serving his favorite cake. poor workers spent weeks fixing this), or boiling water (I have no idea if it works or not, and neither does Vintu, but he tries despite everyone telling him it won't work), and other stupid things because why not? He's fascinated with lightsabers and wants to see what things they can do. Vette tags along sometimes and even gives Vintu new ideas for funsies, Quinn tries to politely suggest that this is not a wise idea (but Vintu doesn't listen), and Jaesa probably rolls her eyes, saying "it's not how lightsabers work, dumbass" (or maybe goes with it once or twice, depending on what he's going to use lightsaber for).
Tumblr media
Not sure if I mentioned this yet (searched with tags and found nothing, but since tags are kinda broken I could've just missed that post), but want to share anyway. When I bought Rishi stronghold and unlocked the ship area, I saw people (on reddit or YT) asking if the ship is from the Ravagers operation, and after finally doing this op I've decided that the answer is yes, at least in my headcanon for one specific character (with some changes). The events of this operation took place during the 5 year gap in KotFE (not during SoR, as it is in game, because this quest doesn't have anything to do with the main plot anyway), the ship doesn't blow up in the end, team manages to reverse the self-destruct, and ship is then taken by Raen (because I thought it would be cool if she had a big ship with big crew that could be a part of Alliance's fleet later). Still working on details, but the reason Raen even confronts Ravagers is because she had some business on Rishi, and Ravagers recognized her as captain of so called "Red Hulls", whose activities caused these pirates trouble the last time, so they took action against her. The worst part of this is Ravagers destroying Raen's XS freighter (and this ship was basically her second home), which pissed her off and made her team up with Ruugar and go after them. After this is over Raen decides to claim the ship to compensate for loss of the previous one, modifies it for hyperspace travelling, and even offers some of those pirate to work for her.

15 and 17?? 👀
Thank you!
15) Is your Commander successful because they’re skilled? Or are they perhaps just really lucky?
It's a bit of both, but differently for each Commander.
Airistan is an excellent duelist and skilled Force-user, no question, but I'd say these are only responsible for half of her successes (plus Xaetel is a better duelist and Bal'sara is better at using the Force). Thanks to her military training before Jedi Order Airistan knows all sorts of different tricks to use in battles, also is a damn good strategist and leader (even if a harsh one). She's definitely the best suited to lead the Alliance of all my Commanders. Sure, luck played a role, but not as much as leadership skills and strategic planning.
On the contrary, Vintu is not a good leader (he has some skill, but it's worse than other Commanders ability to lead), and he's used to rely on others for strategy (Baras, Quinn or other officers), so he's, honestly, lucky to have Lana, Theron and the rest of Alliance specialists to keep it together. However, his fighting skills are unmatched, so defeating enemies is usually the least of his problems.
(Vintu is also a good pilot, despite how the game pictures him, but this isn't used as much as probably should be).
And for Jett... well, it's combination of luck, skill, hard work and help from Valkorion (more so than for Airistan and Vintu). She is really lucky to survive many encounters where the Force is necessary (seriously, who needs luck when you have the Force?). She an outstanding fighter, even against Force-users, decent leader (reluctant one, plus it exhausts her, but she's actually better with people than Airistan) and fine strategist (working for Imperial officers has its results). Jett also had more obstacles than Airistan and Vintu, so she worked hard and often to a point of exhaustion.
And, of course, Valkorion had influences her success more then Jett would like to admit.
17) AU time! If your Commander wasn’t Commander, which of your other OCs would have likely taken their place?
Hoo boy, this is gonna be fun.
So, Jett is actually the one who wasn't supposed to be Commander but became anyway (long story, but I just loved her playthrough of expansions), you can say her being Commander is AU turned canon (to me ofc). Originally, it was supposed to be Kyira (you know, so it would be classic LS!Jedi Knight story), but now I suppose it's an AU, and not even the most possible one (as Wrath would still have the order to hunt her down). Another possible AU is Shailla being Commander, and considering how close she was to that (if only she stayed Marr's flagship and Jett evacuated, but that's not in their character), this is the most likely AU.
And another AU (just a power fantasy) is Auletta being Commander. Of course the story would change drastically, but her interactions with Valkorion are worth it.
If, for whatever reason, Airistan hadn't been able to kill Valkorion, it would have been Xaetel , since he was present in the throne room as well. He's a LS!Sith Warrior, so his interactions with Valkorion would be just as interesting as Knight's.
I haven't planned Vintu's journey as Commander that well yet, but I think Ollin (LS!Jedi Knight) would take his place, but then where's fun in that?

1, 6, and 12 for the alliance commander asks? 👀 -Oliver
Thanks Oliver / @blitzindite!
1) Who’s your Alliance Commander? What class are they? Alignment? Random other facts you wanna share?
So far I have 3, all are from different legacies (so they don't interact): Jett, LS-ish or neutral-ish (it's complicated) Bounty Hunter (whom I consider the main Commander), Airistan, DS!Jedi Knight, and Vintu, even more DS!Sith Warrior (mostly for funzies, but I do love SW interactions with Valkorion). It seems I don't like following the canon LS!Knight path.
I'm thinking about rolling another one (most likely Inquisitor), but some time later.
6) Are there any NPC’s from the class stories you’d like to see/HC join the Alliance? Ex: Master Timmns, Ardun Kothe, Watcher One, etc
Honestly, not many (probably because I never gave it a thought), and it would depend on who is the Commander (or if there are any other class characters in thr Alliance).
In Airistan's Alliance I'd love to see Unaw Aharo (with any Jedi Knight, honestly, and I headcanon that this NPC is him, they look very similar), Praven (though I'm not sure about his fate if he's not a Jedi) and agent Galen (I know, Republic agent, but still would be nice to see him again).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In BH story there aren't many NPCs that survive the storyline, so I can't think of many characters for Jett's Alliance. Maybe Juda (don't know how, but pls, I want to see more of her) and this guy (wouldn't even consider it until recently I had a little dialogue with him after winning the Great Hunt).
Tumblr media
For Vintu's Alliance... um hello, FimmRess? They can't just introduce such a character and then not add him later in story at all.
(But that's probably all bc Vintu killed every other potential ally)
There might be more, but it'll take me too long to figure out.
12) Favorite mission in KotFE? Why?
For Jett it's robbing the Gilded Star (totally unbiased, Gault has nothing to do with it) and retrieving GEMINI Prime on Darvannis (totally unbiased again, mandalorians have nothing to do with it). Okay, jokes aside, until that point Jett struggled a lot with all the turns her life has taken after being frozen in carbonite, and even after accepting her role as leader of the Alliance in chapter 12 (which I'm going to rework because it should be personal for different characters) her life didn't feel the same. But these two missions not only brought some of her companions back (which already would be enough), missions themselves were good as well (going with some crazy plan and cracking jokes along the way? fighting alongside mandalorians again? just like good old days), and things were looking up.
For Airistan it's the battle over Odessen against Arcann, because everything before this was small (important, but rarely these were big battles). This time, however, reminded her of days leading republic forces on Corellia or united efforts on Yavin IV, something she was working towards to even before class story (Airistan is more soldier in spirit than Jedi, and leading war effort was one of her main goals).
For Vintu I can't really say, robbing the Gilded Star would be one of them (because it's fun to rob your enemy).

Dathomir Headcanons
Since we know little to nothing about Dathomir during SWTOR timeline, I’ve decided to come up with my own ideas for this beautiful planet and its famous Zabraks.
I tried to consider a few little things I know about Dathomir in general (spoiler - I don’t know much, and I won’t take stuff from new canon not to confuse things, aside from red mist, because i love red mist. no, I don’t hate new canon), and my ideas probably don’t make sense outside of my head, but hey, a fella can dream. What do we know (or can guess) about Dathomir in this time period?
There probably was a battle during the Great Galactic War on Dathomir (probably because the mention of that battle was removed in 2011).
According to this map (even after in-game updates), Dathomir is in Imperial space, which would explain why Dathomirian Zabraks initially are available on Empire side only in game
Nightsisters (and Witches of Dathomir) as a group are not present on Dathomir during the events of SWTOR (and, as far as I understand, won’t be until around 600 BBY or later)
Dathomir is home of rancors! Isn’t that cool?
That’s pretty much everything. Of course, Dathomir has a very interesting history that takes place thousands of years before the Great Galactic War, but these are the most important things to know at this point. All the fun stuff happens either before or after SWTOR, so there’s much space for headcanons.
So, here are my (stupid) ideas:
Since Dathomir was under the control of the Infinite Empire and Rakata basically created some of the species, including Zabraks, this is how they ended up on Dathomir. Basically, Zabraks are the closest thing to native sentient species this planet has at the moment (Kwa were before).
Dathomirian Zabraks have a lot in common with their Iridonian siblings, but there are still a few differences. The most noticeable, their skin color, is the result of the environment (and partially Rakata experiments). I’m not sure if the red mist is a thing on Dathomir in Legends, but for this one, I’m going to ignore it, sorry. I like red mist, and I don’t think it’s just mist. It might as well be the reasoning behind Zabraks’ red and orange skin colors. Dathomirian Zabraks are also somewhat taller than Iridonian due to the planet's lower-than-standard gravity (90% standard). Not much taller (they are not walking giants), but the tendency is there.
Screw this, during SWTOR time period, Zabraks are the dominant species on the planet and represent the most of its sentient population.
The environment is pretty harsh on Dathomir, so just as their Iridonian brothers, Dathomirian Zabraks are quite strong. They have a warrior-like culture due to having to fight against dangerous fauna and flora. Yes, even some of the plants are hostile.
They have several clans that originally formed because of geographical reasons, but later have become responsible for different aspects of life, like hunting, protecting, gathering and keeping knowledge and etc.
There are also a few authoritative families (they are pretty close to royal or ruling families, but not exactly that). Their prestige is higher than that of the clans, and different members of those families can belong to different clans. Most of the Zabraks are not members of those families.
Their tattoos have meaning. Facial tattoos represent their family (that applies to all families, not just authoritative ones) and clan - part of the tattoo represent clan, another part - family, and together they form a pattern. Those tattoos are applied after the initiation process (into a clan). Some important things, like titles, would be represented in facial tattoos as well. But! there are also tattoos on other parts of the body that represent each individual’s achievements, either it’s hunting an extremely dangerous beast, inventing a tactic, winning a traditional fight, performing a cultural dance, or something else.
A lot of their hobbies include hand-made stuff. Idk, I just thought it’s neat.
The planet has a certain connection to the Force, like Tython with the Light Side or Korriban with the Dark Side, though on Dathomir this connection allows the witches to use their magic (this is later, not in SWTOR) and results in some sorts of mysterious stuff, like special areas, animals that can be controlled only by using magic (with planets connection) - let’s just say this one goes specifically to rancors - and other stuff. Was this connection the result of Kwa technology, Rakata experiments or is it something natural is unknown. Because of this “dark spooky energy”, Zabraks settle in the least affected areas (because in some regions this energy is stronger, and in others it’s weaker).
Force sensitivity was a rare thing among Zabraks (not extremely rare, but chances of finding a Force-sensitive Zabrak on Dathomir during this time period are low). Later, after Nightsisters have taken control over the planet, there were more Force-sensitive Zabraks, though they were not necessarily aware of that (like Savage). But this happens long after the time period we’re interested in right now.
It seems like there was a battle during the Great Galactic War between the Republic and Sith Empire, as I’ve mentioned above, and the Sith seem to have won. Dathomir was an interest for the Sith primary for two reasons - Zabraks would make excellent slaves, and planet’s mysterious energy. Zabraks didn’t give up without a fight, but some of the authoritative families understood that they are more likely to lose, so they offered Zabraks’ service to the Sith Empire, as well as help with exploring nature of Dathomirian Force energy for not being enslaved. The Sith agreed (not without complaining though), and kept Dathomir relatively untouched.
Dathomirian Zabraks weren’t popular in the wider galaxy.
This is all for today. I might be able to expand those ideas, add some more, and maybe even work on the tattoo designs and the whole clans/families system. Maybe. If my brain suddenly decides to do that again.
A reminder that this is all my headcanons, that could be stupid or go against canon in some places.
