So I counted the total number of Danny Phantom OC’s I have up to date for the first time in ages and it looks like I have 58 total. But I didn’t count Death since he’s more like the literal Arch Angel of Death in my fanfic “Nevermore.” Anyways, this is my master list of oc’s as of 11/30/2022 and if you’re curious to learn more about them don’t hesitate to ask! So I finally made a Trolls OC. And I kiiiind of had a concept for a troll with a passion for violin-family instruments, a dry sense of humor, and happens to have a a voice disorder. As a result, I made Fiddlehead Fern. Goes by the latter, but ‘Fiddle or ‘Fiddlehead’ isn’t uncommon around their parents and close friends. c:

Fern is quiet out of necessity and, while they’re an easy-going dancer and instrumentalist, it’s easy to mistake them for a lowkey herbalist who intentionally shies away from the spotlight. In a way, they’re a bit of a paradox; more nervous than they appear, yet loves to be out in the community and tends to push their anxiety aside for the sake of social acceptance. Fern’s biggest fear is that they’ll always “play second fiddle” to everyone else, so they try to be a step ahead of others. Sometimes this means preparing routines and string ensembles for party preparations and arriving early – other times, they prefer ease-dropping before making themself known in social situations to get a few laughs. Nonetheless, despite their insecurities, their passion for botany, music, and dance almost always seems to chase the gray out of their system.

Their background is a bit long, so here’s a read-more:

As a child, Fern was exceptionally prone to getting some pretty nasty respiratory infections – something that didn’t fare will with their asthma. A particularly bad case one year lead to them developing vocal fold paresis. While only one nerve/side was permanently damaged (making it a more mild-to-moderate case), it still took a big toll on the strength of their voice. This never stopped them from being musically inclined, however. Fern learned to play the violin and viola from one of their mothers, and eventually started playing the latter in the village orchestra. They also loved to dance whenever they weren’t bed-ridden, and learned to incorporate violin-family instruments into their dance routines.

Because they spent more time in bed and with a doctor than they had with their peers when they were young, Fern tries to make up for lost times by being involved with the bright and cheerful community they were raised in (well, as much as her voice and generalized anxiety allow her to be). On the contrary, it’s possible that all that time spent sick is part of the reason why she’s afraid of not being seen as an important member of the village. There are many factors involved, tbh.

Currently, their voice tends to be husky and quieter than the norm, and speak for long periods of time can put a lot of strain on it (which makes singing… well, a bit more difficult). They prefer sing in ensembles and as backup when their throat can handle it. On certain occasions, though, Fern is known for having a great speed and flow for rapping. They train with a speech therapist in the village to strengthen their voice and to make sure their symptoms remain mild.

Otherwise, they dance and play the viola more often than not, and keep quiet even when they’re not bursting into song. Fern isn’t too bummed, only really gets annoyed when expected to sing more than they can handle. Or when their asthma kicks in and comorbidity does the Thing. They prefer to speak via troll-specific Sign Language rather than overusing their voice (and writes things down with their leaflet/notebook, for those who aren’t fluent), but isn’t above (seldomly) speaking up when others least expect it.

Basically they’re a quiet yet quirky Lindsey Stirling-esque troll who surprises others by pulling the occasional melody and freestyle akin to Angel Haze.

Speaking of makeup: teal blush, teal lipstick, teal everything. They’re kind of an Aesthetic Hoe™ that way

Was raised by two of the best moms in the world; Cello (”Ma” or “Mami”) and Plumeria (“Mom” or “Mum”). Cello, of course, was the one to teach them how to play the violin and viola.

Likes to sneak up on others in the village, just to say “Hi”, for the sole reason that most forget what their voice sounds like after a while.  I guess u could say they like to troll people that way

Has a small, semi-secret garden filled with mostly nonflowering plants; different fern species, spiral grass, various succulents, anything colorful and interesting to look at~
