Oh, hey, it's a bunch of character head-canons I've forgotten. - (Part One? Master List?)

Even though they're not complicated to make, George struggles with instant-foods, like packet noodles with flavour packets.

The Arthur family line has freckles, with Skarloey, they are very faint, while Marie and Arthur Scarlet's are visible.

Like actual bats, the Vampir-Copil being bat faunus would likely have them hibernate or sleep longer in Winter periods.

My idea for Oz & Salem being at odds with each other in the Chibi sketches I did would have had a comedic reason we'd flashback to, like Ozpin forgetting tog et the chicken out the freezer

Because of how he was built, Oliver lacks an Aura of his own, unlike Penny who has some of Pietro's, and (RWBY) Dash who would have some of Ironwood's so Pietro was not straining his body.

Casper ends up with a Grimm dragon as a pet called Torch, likewise, his later younger sister Alice would get a Grimm house-cat, though if I was to play him, Hazel would have had a Grimm mouse called Buttons as company.

A quirk of Alice was her being unintentionally scary, like being caught saying she "can't to see you burn", only for it to be she's making toast or roasted marshmallows.

Jess & Shinobu don't like dogs much, Jess had a nasty scare as a child by an aggressive dog, while Shinobu is like Blake in that being a cat faunus, the reaction is more normal.

Casper & Veronica's daughter is called Victoria, but it's not know what she inherits from her father and his abilities.

Eventually, when working with the heroes, Casper would stop using his "human" appearance guise with blond hair and blue eyes, since the only reason to keep it up is to help get around places without questions of why he looks like that.

Sunny & Angel are supposed to have accents but I've never settled on which, at most, Sunny would have been Australian, while Angel was tied between French and German.

Sunny being barefoot most of the time is mostly due to where she was born and raised being a beach town where questions about a lack of shoes are less of a thing, though her schools had them required as part of the uniform, and didn't allow sandals for things like science or workshop classes where it'd be stupid-dangerous.

Linda is asthmatic, and used to wear braces around two years before she'd end up at Beacon.

Ichigo's designs are based on past lead Kamen Riders in that they're what they'd look like if you took them and made them into clothing pieces, so for his main look, he resembles Kamen Rider 1gou.

Casper would have maybe learned he is not Salem's first child at some point after finding a painting of his mother, Ozma, and their daughters, this would have likely played into his defection.

BluBerry was an android OC who I would have revived to be an assistant to Ironwood, they are effectively non-binary/genderfluid as they composed of the twin AIs, the male Blu, and the female Berry, I would have likely updated the spelling to be BlueBerry proper too.

Venus was originally a villainess and head-villain of her kind, but I ended up liking her being a kind motherly-type, so she was made good, and later, the mother to Casper & Alice in the Mythril universe.

Likewise, Chrome was intended as a dubious-evil character, but the idea with the Authors then became to have them be mostly neutral figures as Mythril's gods.

Had my story been done a little better and not been playing catch up, Oliver as part of Team Salem likely would see him beefing with Tyrian, though for Chibi sketches, it's more Oliver and Tyrian having comedic moments of trying to set the other up into being punished by Salem.

Being androids, Penny, Dash, Rusty, and Oliver can switch off their hearing and sight if they wish.

George's usual pairs of socks have bunnies on them.

In her younger years, Alice would have dressed up Salem and pretended to be a mini-me of her for teddy bear parties.

So I counted the total number of Danny Phantom OC’s I have up to date for the first time in ages and it looks like I have 58 total. But I didn’t count Death since he’s more like the literal Arch Angel of Death in my fanfic “Nevermore.” Anyways, this is my master list of oc’s as of 11/30/2022 and if you’re curious to learn more about them don’t hesitate to ask! Fandom: Far Cry 5 Word Count: 1k Pairing: OC / OC Prompt: “ow! that fucking hurt!” & “I’ll make you bleed” from my dear @scungilliwoman 💜 I hope you like this! Summary: Veronica wakes up in Antoinette’s lair, and looks for any way out. Warnings: Light knifeplay/bloodplay (kinda), forced drugs (someone gets knocked out w/ some bliss)... I think that’s it!

A steady trickle of water was the first sound that seeped into Veronica’s dreamless slumber, rousing her where she was bound. The deputy winced as her eyes opened slowly, her battered body aching all over. The coppery scent of dried blood soaked into rotting wood tickled her senses, turning her stomach as she gained consciousness.

Ronnie jerked against her restraints, finding herself locked into a pair of rusted shackles. Her chains clattered against each other where they were suspended as she struggled in vain. With a grunt of frustration, she resigned to taking in her surroundings.

The room she occupied was oak wood from floor to ceiling and white curtains hung from the rafters. The only visible furnishings were two workshop tables adorned with a wide variety of knives, and this observation was not comforting.

There was a small noise at the far end of the room, the squeak of rusty hinges as a door opened beyond the curtains. Wooden boards creaked under someone’s weight; and Veronica caught the glimpse of a shadow behind the gauzy fabric.  There one moment and gone another, the figure shifted and V’s eyes narrowed. “I know you’re there.” She called into the room, annoyance settling on her features. She really didn’t have time to get kidnapped right now.

“Oh deputy… you ruin all my fun.” A woman said with a chuckle before parting the curtains to stroll through. Before Veronica stood a tall woman in garb not befitting Hope County. She wore a blue satin dress with a long slit up the side, showing plenty of thigh; her lips were painted red and her icy stare sent the slightest of shivers down Veronica’s spine.

It took only a moment for the deputy to recognize her as Faith’s right-hand woman, the second herald of the Henbane. Ronnie had only heard talk of the Banshee, but the general consensus was that she took a much more hands on approach than Faith. “It’s kind of in the job description.” Veronica replied, voice dripping with sarcasm. ‘Just gotta stall… find a way out of this..’ She thought as the woman stepped closer.

The herald got very close, her face only inches away from V’s as she stared into her eyes. Ronnie recoiled immediately, her chains rattling as she jerked away from the ginger. Antoinette’s expression soured, and she gripped the blonde’s chin and forced her to meet her gaze. “What in the world is so special about you, deputy?” Anne growled as her prey tried to squirm from her manicured grip.

Veronica matched her glare- her nose scrunching up in distaste at the woman’s touch. Suddenly, she spat in Antoinette’s face, causing her to yelp in surprise.  “You insolent snake!” Annie shrieked, wiping the saliva from her face before striking her captive.

Taking the brunt of the impact with no noise, V shook her head and took a deep breath before asking, “That all you got?”

Antoinette stared at her, fuming quietly; after only a moment- she turned abruptly to one of the workshop tables, running a hand over what Veronica had no doubt were her tools. An eerie calm had settled over the room, and Ronnie could hear her tinkering with something to her left.

Struggling in her bonds, she tried not to rattle the chain holding to the wooden rafters above. ‘If I can just slip out of these things then I’ll be golden..’ The deputy thought, hoping for the best as she writhed like an animal caught in a trap.

The shackles held fast and her wrists ached as the metal chafed against her skin. Unable to free herself, Antoinette turned and V froze. The redhead was holding her hands behind her back and had a pleasant smile on her face. The sudden change in attitude made Veronica’s skin crawl.

“Now dear, we’re going to play a game. I’ve got two treats here for you, and you can choose which you want first! I won’t spoil what they are- so just choose right or left. Got it?” Annie spoke in a sickly sweet tone, not befitting the cruel glint in her eyes. She took measured strides forward as she explained her game, and Ronnie glared daggers at her.

Always the rebel, V asked “And what if I don’t choose?”

Eyes narrowing, Antoinette’s smile turned wolfish, “Well… I suppose I’d have to choose for you then.” The eagerness in her expression sent a chill through the blonde.

‘Not liking the sound of that.’ Veronica considered her choices, sighing before saying “Fine, left.”

Her left hand came from behind her back, revealing a long hunting knife. With a chuckle, Annie said “Well deputy, great minds think alike I suppose.”

Ronnie’s mind raced through her options as Antoinette turned back and concealed the right hand option on her person. ‘I guess when she gets close enough, I’ll kick the shit out of her? No, I need out of the shackles… I gotta get her talking. Fuck.’ With this final thought, the woman took a deep breath and watched the herald close in on her with the blade in hand.

“Nice knife, what do you sharpen it with?” V tried and failed to play nice to her captor.

“Hush! I don’t want your talking to spoil the fun.” Anne hissed, coming to a stop in front of her. She held the hilt of her weapon and laid the blade against her palm, admiring the cool metal against her skin, coveting it. With a small smile, the ginger lifted it and nestled the tip of the knife in the hollow of Veronica’s neck just below her chin.

Freezing against the sharpness of the blade, Veronica paused and hoped her next words wouldn’t get her killed. “Funny, Faith normally likes it when we have a little conversation.” The words came out strained, her vocal cords humming against the metal.

Annie’s eyes widened, her rage welling beneath her skin in the form of a deep red blush. “You…” She took a deep breath and closed the short distance between them, her sweet Georgia accent suddenly in Veronica’s ear, “You wondered about the sharpness of my knives?” Anne’s tone changed, became deep and threatening as she whispered harshly “Let me show you… I’ll make you bleed!” And brandished the knife expertly, letting loose a steady trickle of scarlet ambrosia as V grunted from the pain.

Blood flowed down to stain Ronnie’s clothes and she was breathing a little heavily. “Bitch!” She exclaimed, gritting her teeth against the throbbing in her neck.

“Aww… that wasn’t very nice!” Antoinette came close once more, despite the blonde’s efforts to struggle away. V’s captor grabbed a fistful of her dyed tresses and yanked her hair; exposing the wound she’d just made.

The heat of Anne’s breath against Veronica’s skin made her squirm, and she gasped as the ginger’s tongue slid across the hollow of her neck. Antoinette pulled back, still controlling Ronnie by her hair. Their eyes met, and there was heat there; the herald’s eyes were clouded over in pleasure.

Licking her lips, Veronica started to stutter out, “Uhm.. maybe-” Before she could finish with, ‘We could come to a solution here.’, she was interrupted by a needle being stabbed into her suspended upper arm. “Ow, that fucking hurt! What was that?” V asked as her head started to feel woozy. She could only assume it was her second treat.

Green smoke was beginning to swarm Ronnie’s vision as Antoinette replied in that melodic voice, “A simple propofol/Bliss 1:1 mixture… I don’t want to rush anything, deputy. We’ll have plenty of time together…”

The Banshee’s voice was the last thing Veronica heard before she fell into the coma of Bliss.

13/M. Has a ship ever broken your heart?

Constantly.  There’s a roughly 50% chance that, in a show where at least one person dies, one or both members of my ship will die.  It just...it just KEEPS HAPPENING, my god.  But a special shout out to Chiaki/Makoto from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for ripping my heart out and stomping on it even though they both live.  Like my HEART, how DARE they.

30/AD. Name a couple of fandoms in which you have no ships.

I generally only actively seek out fandom stuff when I have a ship because searching for gen stuff is pretty futile, but it happens occasionally.  Newsies is the only one I can think of off the top of my head; I just want to read about Spot Conlon without shipping him with anyone (canon character or OC, it doesn’t matter), but that, like, never happens.  It did happen once though, in the excellent fic In New York about how he joined Tammany Hall and whatnot.

32/AF. Share five must-read fics.

Ok, are we talking across all fandoms or across Riverdale fandom?  Fuck it, I’ll do both, with the Riverdale choice that would normally be in the multi-fandom part moved to the Riverdale section.

Multi-Fandom:

1. Ambivalence by DreamScene (Code Geass) - An excellent look at a Shirley Lives AU.  It’s dark, it’s interesting, it’s a good character piece, the Lelouch/Shirley interactions are perfect in every way, and its got some nice smut at the end.  It’s a little screwy with the timeline, but it’s so good in every other respect that I do not care.

2. Ascendant by Samurai 101 (Naruto) - A very, very interesting Itachi time travel fic with a great and very unique take on time travel in general.  It really dives into clan politics and the difference in Itachi as a child and Itachi as an adult.  And the looming threat of Madara is so, so great.  Every side character is so fleshed out and real, and I love it.  Let it be known that I normally don’t like Itachi, but I really like him in this.  He’s not some perfect, all-wise ninja god; he’s a fuck up of a teenager and a kid trying his best, and he’s actually relatable.

3. Wanted It To Be a Game by SkylaDoragano (Persona 4) - An excellent role reversal fic with Adachi and Yu (well, more P4 Protagonist than Yu as we know him).  It really follows the domino effect of switching their roles out in terms of who lives and who dies and who joins the party in what roles.  It’s so interesting to see the domino effects of it all.  It really gets into the psychology of different characters, and everyone’s dynamics are fantastic, with a special shout out to Adachi and Saki’s friendship.  Seriously, if you like Adachi, this is a must-read.

4. 365 Days of Winter by zauberer_sirin (Durarara!!) - This is the perfect Izaya/Namie fic.  Like, their dynamic is so, so on point, and watching them fall in love when they really would rather not is such a delight.  I love the monthly format, and I love Izaya’s subtle jealousy, and I love how they never even explicitly confess their feelings.  It’s all so them, and I love it.

5. Executive Reform by karanguni (Final Fantasy VII) - It’s a Final Fantasy VII/Pacific Rim mash up that works surprisingly well.  It’s such a great gen fic, and the focus on the Shinra executives delights me.  Like, Scarlet and Hojo interacting while neither are being crazy?  Genius!  And it does such a great job of depicting the complicated relationship between Hojo and Sephiroth even though Sephiroth isn’t even an active character.  Everyone is so human in this, and I absolutely love it.  Tragically, it’s abandoned.

BONUS: Seven Suitors for Shirayuki by Sabrael (Snow White with the Red Hair) - Look, this doesn’t quite make the all-time top five, but I want to plug it here anyway because oh man, guys, this is top-notch slow burn/pining.  Like, by the end you are DYING, the burn is so good.  It fleshes out minor canon characters very well, and there are some great OCS, but they’re not OCs for the sake of OCs but ones that are truly necessary.  And the characterization is on point, and the obiyuki is SO GOOD.  Seriously, if you followed my advice about the show and fell into obiyuki hell with me, go read this.

Riverdale (Do you know how hard this was?  Narrowing this down?  There are so, so many things I want to add but can’t grrr)

1. cut while shaving by areyouabadwolf2 - I’ve made no secret of the fact that this is my all-time favorite Riverdale fic.  And in fact, it would normally knock Executive Reform out of its #5 spot.  It’s such a great post-season 2 darkfic, just an excellent look at where everyone could go from there.  It’s heavy on the Serpents, just the way I like it, and all the relationships are so cool.  Like, Jughead & Cheryl friendship?  Sign me the fuck up!  It’s also SO good at suspense and keeping secrets from its readers, and no one ever talks in a way that makes you go “ah yes, thank you for telling me that even though everyone in the room already knows about it.”  And like, the characterization in this is flawless, absolutely flawless, and the Betty/Jughead dynamic is amazing with them as a criminal duo.  I just. I love it.  Tragically, it seems to be abandoned.

2. The town called Riverdale by satelliteinasupernova - Yeah, you wrote this, so technically it’s redundant for you, but it belongs here, so tough.  This is the Riverdale/Princess Tutu mashup that I didn’t know I wanted, and it has an extra dose of eldritch horror.  The meta-y goodness is so delicious, and the suspense is fantastic, I was always on the edge of my seat.  It’s so great watching Veronica try to figure out this mystery while people around her are either cagey or don’t realize there’s a mystery to solve.  There’s such great uncertainty running throughout it,and I highly recommend it.

3. Black Cherry Chutney by lilibug - I love dark!bughead, I love it so goddamn much, and this is a great depiction of it.  And like, not just dark!Betty or dark!Jughead but both of them, and it’s such a delight.  Like, I absolutely love this Jughead from the word go, and Betty is so great because she is, like in canon, so much more than what she first seems.  The bughead dynamic is great, and the smut is fantastic.

4. Fullmetal Riverdale by lnles - This is such a good mashup of Riverdale and Fullmetal Alchemist that I cannot articulate it.  Like, it’s not just 1-1 insert Character A into Role A; it really works with the setting and characters of Riverdale to create something new but familiar.  It’s working with great pieces, and it does them both justice, which is saying a lot because Fullmetal Alchemist is very, very good.  I love the characterization and the hints of what happened in the past and the prose and just everything.  It’s not done, but it’s got a regular update schedule, so I’m hoping it gets finished. Go give this some love!

5. Shake, Rattle, and Roll series by TakeAWalkOnTheWildside - Ok, so I’m cheating here by putting in a series, but let me cheat, ok?  I’m still amazed that there are so few 1950s AUs for bughead, but I’m really glad we got this series.  It’s sexy, it’s fun, it’s period-appropriate, and it’s dramatic too.  Like it’s a whole saga of Betty and Jughead getting together and then being together, and it’s so fun.  Also, he eats her out on her dining room table in part one, so that’s great.

37/AK. Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP?

For my OTP of OTPs, shirlulu, does Everyone Lives count?  Because that series does not end well for them.  But, ok, other than that, I want to see some mutual pining for them because the idea of Lelouch pining is so goddamn amusing, especially when mixed with perpetually pining Shirley being completely goddamn oblivious.  As for bughead, one thing I don’t see enough of (and crave more of) is their friends and family trying to play matchmaker for them but failing spectacularly.  Also, more 1950s AUs please.

Currently our in-house @DM🧙‍♀️  is over looking the plot lines and plots. She loves it when people come to her with ideas. Or just come to her and tell her what you would like your character to experience.

Discuss things with your fellow writers:

We like to think of ourselves as open people that are open to many ideas. If your character development involves many people or even just one, don't be afraid to ask.

No duplicate characters:

This can over complicate things. However, one writer can write the same character from alternative time lines or Earths.

Muse Limit:

The amount of muses you have are determined by how active you are in the community.

OC muse limit:

One OC to every one canon character you have. You may join as an OC, but we ask you to have a detailed backstory that our DM can look over. We do make exceptions to this rule based on activity. For example, if someone joins as an OC and can only be active once a week at most, we would not pressure them to take on a canon character.

Time of leave:

Real life always comes first and we understand that people may need to take a leave of absence. But we do ask you to occasionally pop into general when you can to let us know you are okay. After all, we do worry.

In-character drama stays in-character:

Mun does not equal muse here.

No God-Modding:

This is self-explanatory. However, as an example: No one likes having their character taken from them to where they can't do anything or to the point where you are along for the ride.  These aren't solo acts.

Posting order:

For larger scenes, there will be a posting order that should be followed.  Falling out of sync can throw off the flow of the scene.

Blacklisting:

We encourage anyone to post what they are uncomfortable with reading in the #🚫blacklist. This is so other writers can put spoilers around the topic so that person can not read it. We would also like to point out that we do not black list characters. Having a strong dislike for a character is understandable.However, we do not want to limit someone's ability to write or stifle imagination.

Be Chill:

No one likes an asshole. We all have one—we don't need two.

NSFW:

All NSFW will be held in an invite only NSFW channel that can be muted. We understand that everyone has outside lives and don’t want NSFW content continuously popping up on their phone. Once your character gets to the point where they need a private NSFW channel please post in the #📰channel-requests section.

Bots:

Setting up bots in PK is a rather simple process that helps muns have more than one muse without having to change their name constantly. Once a mun picks up more than one character, we encourage you to make these bots for the ease of muse to muse communication. This takes out the added stress of having to change your name constantly.

Respect the mods:

Please respect the mods and their decisions they have the groups best interests in mind even though you may not agree with it. If a mod says something it is final you may comment about it however once a decision has been reached it is final.

Self-Promotions:

In regards to other RP servers and servers in general, ask before posting any invite links in the servers. This is a common rule known in the streaming community and one that we like to implement. Natalie was lying on her bed, staring up at the ceiling when her alarm went off. She took a deep breath, squeezing her eyes closed before picking up her phone and turning the alarm off. You can do this, she thought and slowly got up from the bed. She hadn’t been able to sleep much since her ‘scene’ with Sweet Pea. Natalie’s mother had been more than happy to let her stay at home for a few days if it meant keeping her away from her friends, who she still thought were bad influence.

Today had been exactly a week since the drag race and Natalie had barely left the house. She mostly stayed in her bedroom, listening to music and writing meaningless things into her notebook. Veronica and Kevin texted her every day and she even received a few texts from Betty and Archie, making sure she was alright.

Natalie rubbed her eyes and yawned, making her way to the bathroom. She wanted nothing more than to hide under her blankets for another week, but today she had to pull herself together and go to school. She would not be the heartbroken girl that held onto hope and cried over a boy that she barely knew. Today it was time to let go.

She took a quick shower, curled her hair and put on some makeup. After making her way to her closet and standing there for a good ten minutes, she finally picked a pastel blue skater dress with a white collar and paired it with a black coat. Stepping in front of the mirror, she took one last look at herself and sighed, You can do this.

When Natalie entered the kitchen downstairs, the first thing she heard was a gasp leaving her mother’s lips, “Happy birthday my dearest Natalie!” Scarlet almost cried out, rushing over to her and pulled her in a tight hug.

Today was Natalie’s seventeenth birthday. She returned her mother’s hug and rolled her eyes, smiling, “Thank you, mother.”

“Happy birthday, kiddo,” she heard her father say from where he was sitting by the kitchen table, giving her a quick wink before returning his attention to the news paper.

“I wasn’t expecting you to be up this early so I haven’t made any breakfast yet,” Scarlet pulled away and frowned before turning around and hurrying up to the stove.

“No, mother, it’s fine,” Natalie smiled, “I’ll just grab something at school.”

Scarlet’s head shot towards her, a concerned look on her face, “You’re going to school?” she asked nervously. “Are you sure that is a good idea?”

“Yeah, I can’t be locked in here by myself on my birthday, now can I?” Natalie replied with a smirk, walking up to her father to give him a kiss on the cheek. “Love you, see you later!” she called over her shoulder before making her way to the door, ignoring the look of disappointment in her mother’s eyes.

Natalie’s shoulders were tense as she entered Riverdale High. She looked nervously around as she made her way to her locker. She could’ve swore every single eye was on her as she walked through the hallways. She swallowed and opened her locker, trying to ignore the hollow feeling inside her.

“Natalie!” she heard someone shriek a few feet away. Turning around, she saw Veronica, Betty and Kevin rushing towards her, and sighed in relief. “Happy birthday dear! It’s so good to see you!”

“It’s good to see you too,” Natalie smiled softly.

Veronica immediately insisted that she would join her and Betty after school for some ‘girl stuff’ before meeting the guys at Pop’s for dinner. Kevin instantly began to fill her in on what she had missed while she was away. After Betty had exposed the Sugarman and come clean about her ‘relationship’ with the Black Hood, things seemed to be going back to normal. Betty and Jughead were finally back together, Betty and Veronica were back to being best friends.

The only thing that seemed off was Natalie.

She was glad she was finally able to see her friends but no matter how hard she tried, she could still feel the dull ache in her stomach, constantly reminding her of the boy who broke her heart. Even though she felt horrible on the inside, she had become a master at looking ecstatic on the outside. Who knows? Maybe if she convinced herself she was happy, she would be. And so, she laughed at her friends’ jokes, smiled at their comments and joined in on their conversations. To be honest, this was the closest she’d felt to being happy in weeks.

The day went by quickly. After school, Natalie went with Veronica and Betty to the Pembrooke. She thought it was good to finally be able to talk to her friends but no one ever mentioned what had happened at the race. Natalie was thankful for that. She’d spent the past week thinking about it and she appreciated anything that could distract her from it.

When it was finally time to meet Kevin, Archie and Jughead, the girls made their way to Pop’s. The boys were already there, sitting in their regular booth in the back, smiles appeared on their faces as they noticed them enter.

“Happy birthday!” the three boys shouted, causing Natalie to smile sheepishly as she sat down next to Kevin.

The whole group ordered milkshakes, except Jughead, who went for a burger and fries, as well as a milkshake. When the food came, Veronica suddenly brought out a small package, wrapped in silver and handed it to Natalie.

“This is from me and Archie. Happy birthday!” she said, smiling.

Natalie grinned and carefully opened the gift, gasping as saw what it was. Inside the box were two tickets to see Arctic Monkeys next month, Natalie’s favourite band.

“Thank you so much! I can’t believe it!” she gushed, squeezing Veronica’s hand.

Natalie had wanted to buy tickets to the concert for her and Sweet Pea, before everything went to shit. She wondered who she would bring with her now that she had tickets. She looked around at her friends. Archie’s hand was around Veronica’s shoulder, her hand on his thigh, and Betty was clutching Jughead’s hand tightly, the two of them sneaking loving looks at each other.

I’ll bring Kevin.

After Natalie thanked Veronica and Archie again, the others handed her their own gifts. Kevin gave her a gift card for Riverdale’s record shop, and Betty and Jughead gave her a beautiful notebook. Natalie was thankful they were her friends. She had only known them for a few months and she already felt like they were the best friends she could ever have.

“It’s getting late, we should get going,” Veronica suddenly announced, looking at Archie. He instantly nodded and the rest of the group started grabbing their things together.

It was getting late, Natalie knew, but the thought of going back home made her muscles tense. You just had a great time with your friends, you can handle going home. She faked a smile and gathered her stuff. She examined her friends’ faces, all of them smiling and happy. Except Jughead’s. His eyes were watching her, concern written all over his face. Out of everyone, Jughead seemed to be the only one that could see right through her. Natalie gave him a sad smile before they stood up and made their way outside.

“Thank you guys so much for tonight, I really appreciate it,” Natalie said solemnly, giving Archie and Veronica a hug.

“I’m just glad you’re back, we missed you!” Veronica replied, “Have a good night you guys, let’s go Archiekins.” She smiled and locked her arm with Archie’s before walking away.

Kevin gave her a quick hug and finally, she was left with Jughead and Betty. “Alright, I should get going. Thanks for tonight,” Natalie forced a smile.

“Wait, I’ll walk with you. It’s on the way to the trailer park anyways,” Jughead said, turning to Betty and whispering something in her ear before giving her a kiss. Natalie felt relieved. Even though it was only a few minute walk to her house, she was glad to have company for a little bit longer.

Betty gave him a smile and turned to Natalie. “Happy birthday again, see you tomorrow?” she asked softly before giving her a hug.

“Thanks, see you tomorrow.”

Betty gave Jughead a quick peck on the lips, turning back to Natalie and raising her hand up to wave, a big smile plastered on her lips before turning around to leave. Jughead smiled softly at Natalie and started walking down the street, Natalie following close behind.

The pair walked side by side in silence, until Jughead suddenly spoke up. “How you holding up?”

Natalie looked at him in surprise, hesitantly. “I’ve been better,” she forced a smile and sighed.

Jughead seemed to wince at her response. He turned to look in front of him, deep in thought, a few moments passing before he replied. “I know it’s maybe not my place to ask...” he started, causing Natalie to shoot him a suspicious look. “But what’s going on with you and Sweet Pea?”

“Nothing,” Natalie scoffed, looking away. “He made that perfectly clear.”

Jughead sighed, “Yeah, I don’t know about that. He’s been acting really weird since you went to the quarry with him, Toni and Fangs.”

Natalie’s thoughts trailed back to that time. How happy Sweet Pea was to see her. How his hand was wrapped around her the whole time, keeping her close to him. Until all of the sudden he had pushed her away. She took a deep breath, clenching her jaw as she kept walking, Jughead silent beside her, sighing.

“Toni told me what happened. It just… it doesn’t seem like him” Jughead said.

“Yeah, how should I know? He’s obviously not who I thought he was,” Natalie snarled, halting to a stop.

Jughead stopped and turned to her. “I saw what happened at the race,” he sighed. “It was pretty obvious he felt miserable. He’s usually the one making snarky comments and mocking everyone, but after you stormed off, he barely opened his mouth.”

“Good to know he might have a tiny piece of soul left after all.” Natalie scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.

“No, Natalie. You don’t get it,” Jughead said, placing one hand on her shoulder. “I’m pretty sure he thinks he’s protecting you.”

“And how the fuck would that be protecting me?!” she spat bitterly and started walking down the street.

“Hey, Betty pushed me away because she thought she was protecting me from the Black Hood. People do stupid shit. Maybe you should give him a chance,” he offered, following close behind her.

“I gave him a chance, Jughead. It didn’t exactly end well.” she muttered, refusing to meet his eyes.

She heard Jughead sigh as they stopped outside of her house. She turned to face him, and saw him reach for something in his bag, pulling out a small gift and handing to her. She furrowed her brows and looked at him suspiciously before accepting it. It was a small box, badly wrapped in brown paper.

She looked up at Jughead, who gave her a hopeful smile. “Hey, I’m just saying. He’s used to people giving up on him,” he gently squeezed her shoulder before turning to walk towards the Southside. “Maybe all he needs is some reassurance!” she heard him call over his shoulder before he disappeared.

Natalie stood outside her house in confusion, clutching the small box in her hand. Hesitantly, she ripped the packaging off and opened the box. Inside was Sweet Pea’s dog tag. Gently placed on top of it was a note that said ‘Happy birthday’, scribbled in a messy handwriting. She felt the tears welling up in her eyes, the familiar ache filling her stomach but even so, the corners of her mouth curled up in a soft smile. She let out a silent sob, picking up the necklace, running her thumb over the tag.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” she whispered to herself.

Natalie turned to look at her house. There were lights in her parents’ bedroom window but she knew they would’ve already called her if they were expecting her to be home yet. Sighing, her eyes moved to down the street where Jughead had disappeared. One last chance, she thought, placing the necklace over her neck and walking towards the Southside.

Picking up her phone, she typed in Sweet Pea’s number and waited. Rejected. She wasn’t surprised. If what Jughead had said was true, she would have to confront him alone and insisting on getting under his facade. She didn’t know where she could find him since she didn’t know where he lived. From what she’d heard about the Serpents, her best (and only) option was to go to the Whyte Wyrm. She opened Google Maps and typed in the name of the Serpent bar, and found the directions. Only a ten minute walk.

A little while later, Natalie was standing outside a small bar. The sign was old and beat down, the walls were dirty and she could practically smell the cigarette smoke coming from inside. Around fifteen motorcycles were parked out front but there wasn’t a person in sight. Nervously, she slowly walked up the steps and pushed the door open.

She was hit by a wall of warmth and smoke, shouts and laughter. It was dimly lit, faces in the shadows turning to look at her as she entered. She swallowed, clenching her hands into fists, and walked towards the bar, ignoring the whispers and comments coming from around her. Wearing her pastel blue dress and high heeled boots, it was certain that she stood out from the crowd. At the bar stood a tall man, dressed in an old flannel shirt and a denim vest. His long hair was greasy, looking like it hadn’t been properly washed for weeks. His grey eyes examined her face, a hint of despise apparent on his face.

“Hi, uhm. Is SP around?” she asked quietly, swallowing nervously.

The tall man narrowed his eyes and leaned over the bar table. “Who?”

“Oh, uhm. Sweet Pea. Is he here?” Natalie asked again, this time a bit more confidently.

“Haven’t seen him,” he grunted, turning his attention back to the glasses he was wiping. When Natalie didn’t move, his eyes shot towards her, a bitter look on his face. “Now, I’d suggest you leave, sweetheart,” he spat, causing Natalie to flinch and take a step back.

“It’s okay, Tall Boy. I know her.” she heard Toni say next to her and grab her hand. “Come on.” she whispered and dragged her through the crowd, to a closed room in the back.

“Thanks.” Natalie muttered and sat down on one of the chairs.

“What are you doing here?” Toni scowled, standing over her with her arms crossed.

“I need to talk to Pea. He hasn’t been replying to any texts or calls so I came here,” Natalie explained.

Toni let out a sigh and sat down next to her. Natalie watched as she picked up her phone and typed a message, before shoving it back into her pocket. “He should be on his way now.” Toni gave her a smile and Natalie let out a deep breath. “Sorry for asking… but what exactly happened with you guys?”

“I’m not sure.” Natalie stated blankly.

Toni opened her mouth as if to say something but stayed silent. After a few minutes, she stood up from her chair. “Can I get you anything? Glass of water?”

“That would be good, thanks.” Natalie smiled.

Her mind was racing. What was she going to say to him? The last time she confronted him he called her a Northsider slut. Why would this time be any different? She buried her face in her palms and sighed. Coming here was stupid, she thought and stood up. As she turned to leave, Toni came back with a glass of water.

“Are you leaving?” she asked, confused.

“I don’t know what I was thinking, coming here. I don’t want to be a bother, he’ll probably be glad if I just leave.” Natalie blurted out, giving Toni an apologetic smile before pushing past her to the door.

“Hey!” Toni grabbed her hand to stop her and whispered, “You’re too late. Good luck.”

Suddenly, the door was pushed open and someone barged in. Natalie flinched and her head shot towards Sweet Pea, who was towering over her. “Natalie,” he growled lowly, grabbing her upper arm firmly and dragging her out of the room. Natalie felt heart heart racing, her breathing becoming shorter. She didn’t know if she was scared or relieved.

He pulled her through the crowd and stormed out of the Whyte Wyrm, letting go of her hand as they stopped by the street. Thankfully, there was no one outside.

Sweet Pea looked terrible. There were dark rings under his eyes, his skin pale and his hair messier than usual. He breathed heavily through his nostrils, his jaw clenched, his shoulders tense.

“Sweet Pea. Talk to me.” Natalie whispered, taking a step closer to him.

Suddenly, he snapped. His face shot towards her, a furious expression on his face as he stormed towards her. “What the hell were you thinking?!” he roared, his voice loud and angry.

Natalie was taken by surprise, her eyes widening at his sudden outburst. “Wha- what do you mean?” she stuttered, afraid.

“Going to the Southside and INTO THE FUCKING WYRM?! Alone?! Something could’ve happened to you!” he snarled, looking angrily into her eyes. Natalie was trembling, tears filling her eyes. His eyes turned softer and he took a step back, running his hand through his hair as he took a deep breath. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap at you. But you can’t go on and come here alone, it’s not safe for you,” he said.

“I can take care of myself, you know,” she countered, crossing her arms.

He turned to look at her and scoffed, clenching his fists, “Yeah, right.”

They stood there in silence, looking at each other. There was a hint of shame in Sweet Pea’s eyes. Natalie didn’t know what to make of it. Frowning, she slowly took a step closer to him and reached for his hand. He shut his eyes and sighed, his fingers wrapping around hers.

“Why are you here?” he asked suddenly, letting go of her hand and turning around.

“Because...” Natalie replied, her voice breaking, “I just don’t understand what the fuck happened, Pea.”

He winced, and she could see that he was tearing up. “I don’t want to be with you, Natalie. This was never going to work. You need to get over it.” he hissed.

“No. I don’t believe you,” she said, firmly. He furrowed his brows and glared at her.

“Too bad, it’s the truth.”

She took a deep breath, and stepped closer. “I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s really going on.”

“Natalie...” he warned. “You need to leave.”

“Why are you ignoring me? Why won’t you talk to me?” she said angrily.

“Natalie.” he spat, clenching his fists in clear annoyance.

“Why?!” she yelled, placing both hands on his chest and pushing.

“Because I’m in love with you!” he shouted back in frustration and Natalie froze. He sighed at her expression, covering his face with his hands as he realized what he had said.

“That’s why I’ve been ignoring you.” he mumbled.

He started pacing back and forth, muttering something under his breath, nervously running his hand through his hair. “Fuck.” he hissed and angrily kicked a trash bin next to him, so hard that it fell down. Natalie finally found the will to move, and cautiously walked up to him.

“Hey,” she whispered, placing her arms around his neck. He took a deep breath, clenching his eyes shut, refusing to look at her. “Hey, look at me,” she said, louder this time, her hand moving to his cheek. At first, he kept his eyes closed, but then, he sighed and finally opened them to look at her. His expression changed from angry to sad. He frowned, examining her face. She felt the tears escaping her eyes and he reached his hand up to cup her face, his thumb wiping away a few stray tears.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered, looking away, his eyes filled with guilt.

Natalie moved her hand to force him to face her again, and took a deep breath. “I love you too.”

His eyes widened and the guilt was washed away with relief. His arms wrapped around her and he pulled her closer so that she was pressed against his chest. Natalie sighed against him, her body relaxing from the warmth of his embrace. Her hands snaked under his jacket around his torso and squeezed him tightly. She never wanted to let go.

After a moment, he pulled away slightly, his hands positioned firmly on her waist. Natalie looked up at him and smiled softly. Throwing her arms around his neck, she leaned up and brought his lips to hers. In that moment, everything that had happened was gone. All that mattered was the two of them right there in that moment.

He eagerly returned the kiss, his hands travelling to the back of her thighs to lift her up. She wrapped her legs around his torso and held tightly onto his neck. He moved her against the wall, pressing his body against her, deepening the kiss. The kiss was almost desperate but it was filled with intimacy and passion. Natalie parted her lips and his tongue entered her mouth. She felt a spark run through her, carding her fingers through his hair, pulling him closer.

He gently put her down on the ground, his hands travelling up her back, his lips never leaving hers. Finally, she pulled away, gasping for air. He rested her forehead on hers and sighed, “I’m so sorry, Natalie. For everything.”

“I forgive you,” she smiled, pressing a kiss on his lips. “But don’t ever do that again,” she said sternly before letting out a laugh.

“I promise,” he chuckled, his hands cupping her face and he connected their lips again. “I love you, Natalie Caves,” he whispered against her lips, his hand stroking her hair.

“I love you too, Sweet Pea.”
