I know the Barsen'thor is a Consular, but they have to be very high level duelist if they can beat both Malgus and Arcann in a duel.
It makes sense for them if they choose to be a Shadow, since their job is to hunt down darksiders and dark side artifacts. But for the sage it's a little more trivial, and perhaps more interesting, since their main role would be studying the Force and diplomacy. Perhaps they brushed up their lightsaber skills as a reaction the threat they faced during their class story?
How good of duelists are your Consulars?
Interesting question!
One note: I dislike how the game assumes that every Jedi or Sith will rely on their lightsaber when they throw down in those cut-scenes. Jedi Seers and Sith Sorcerors who've made it through the class stories are supposed to be incredibly powerful in their Force techniques, and its dumb that they reach their greatest challenges and their first thought is "I need to beat this thing with my laser-sword!" They shouldn't need that.
My list of active Sages is a bit short at the moment, due to some recent… "adjustments". But let's see what we can do.
During his training on Uphrades, Ulannium Kaarz became a very proficient and dedicated Form II user. He had excellent fundamentals which he has only honed over the years. He was the equal of three of the students who were older than he was at the time. When Ulannium was eight, they handed a training saber to a six-year-old youngling for the first time. That six-year old, up until that point, had been an underwhelming student. The moment they put a training saber his hands, Corellan Halcyon would become the best duelist ever produced by the enclave. Ulannium and Corellan's sparring sessions provided critical lessons for both of them: For Ulannium, it compelled him to adapt his growing Force powers to defend and defeat an enemy who was physically superior to himself. For Corellan, it forced him to adapt to an opponent who could throw rocks - and later trees - at him. Years later, these experiences would help both of them to grow into the greatest Jedi of their generation.
Vaykyar Tey was nearly fourteen when he joined the Order, and if it hadn't been war time, he probably would have been turned away. Nevertheless, he picked up the rudiments of Form I style. Not having someone to spar with regularly (aside from Qyzen, but that was different) made it a challenge for Vaykyar to maintain his personal skill, and he relied heavily on his Force powers. Taking Nadia Grell as a padawan forced him to adapt. He actually became more sufficint after he became a Jedi Master, because he had to learn things most other Jedi already knew.
Thanks for the asks @spikerwolf5896 !

I Don’t Need Another Legacy. I Don’t Need Another Legacy. I Don’t Need...
*sigh*
Green Legacy (Left to Right) • Chria Malcar / Bounty Hunter / Cyborg • Neemah Rath / Sith Warrior / Pureblood • Grott'hu / Sith Inquisitor / Rattataki • Kayeh Antilles * / Jedi Knight / Human • Cennesh Myr / Smuggler / Mirialan • Korno'lone'deamizu / Imperial Agent / Chiss • Vaykyar Tey / Jedi Consular / Togruta • Rebib / Trooper / Togruta
I called it the Green Legacy because Kayeh - my eventual Outlander - was a Green Jedi on Corellia before she was sent to Tython. (She was basically an exchange student.) And several of the others claim Corellia as their homeworld. Neemah, Vaykar and Rebib are all borrowed from other legacies while Chria is a non-OC character in my Adas Legacy, serving as Taeree’s bodyguard. More on her later.
People think i’m joking about character creation addiction...

6. Are their siblings nice? How supportive are they? 12. What is the most annoying thing about their sibling(s)? 18. What is their fondest memory with their sibling(s)? for anyone you wish
Familial Questions: Sibling Edition
Thanks for the asks, @lordviridis ! Mixing it up!
6. Are their siblings nice? How supportive are they?
Illaynah Antilles - former commander of Havoc Squad, later head of the Special Operations Group of the Eternal Alliance in my Halcyon Legacy, had a complicated relationship with her brother Garm. After the death of their mother and the brutal injuries forced her father into retiring from the Republic military, Illaynah - then still a teenager - was basically holding the family together, both in terms of their home, and the family's repair shop.
Her father, Rostek, started drowning his troubles in alcohol. When Illaynah suggested she sign up with the military, he not only objected the idea, but he was emotionally abusive and cruel, telling her she "didn't have what it takes".
(Honestly, he knew she did. But he knew without her, everything else would fall apart.) Meanwhile, Garm - several years younger - watched this drama play out.
When Illaynah finally left anyway, things got bad for awhile. To Garm, he felt she'd abandoned him with a father who was falling apart.
So he didn't care when she graduated from the Academy, not long after their father died. He didn't care when she was put in command of Havoc Squad. He didn't care when she saved Corellia, which was practically in his backyard.
He wasn't nice, or supportive. He deleted her letters without reading them.
It wasn't until years later, after the Zakuulan invasion, that Illaynah returned home, setting up a resistance cell. Garm argued with his sister for a long time before finally coming to terms with her.
12. What is the most annoying thing about their sibling(s)?
Shattaah Tey was driven absolutely nuts by the actions of her brother, Vaykyar. In the refugee camp on Barith, he was always trying to help people. Breaking up fights, resolving disputes, giving food or comfort to those who needed it even as his own family had next to nothing. Naturally, plenty of people tried to take advantage of him and plenty more tried to beat him up because he threatened whatever scams they had going on.
Every time, she had to bail him out. She could intimidate most people, but a few needed a few punches to learn not to mess with her family.
She thought he'd get himself and her killed someday.
It was annoying. But deep down, she admired him for it.
18. What is their fondest memory with their sibling(s)? for anyone you wish
For Ozibaumnu and Nas'ash'dia, their fondest memory is probably their reunion on Corellia, after years of thinking the other was dead. Prior to that, it was Nas'ash'dia showing Ozi how to play games on Ziost. Even though he was younger and Nas was highly intelligent, Ozi would eventually surpass her each time. She marveled at him, just as Ozi adored her for taking care of him.
Thanks for the asks!

World Building Wednesday: Shattaah Tey
B A S I C S • Full name: Shattaah Tey • Gender: Female • Sexuality: Bisexual • Pronouns: She / Her
O T H E R S • Family: Vaykyar Tey (brother), Hasa Tey (mother, deceased), Dunok Tey (father, presumed deceased) • Birthplace: Ringo Vinda, though she claims Barith as a homeworld • Job: Commander of Havoc Squad • Phobias: None • Guilty pleasures: None, unless you count Jorgan
M O R A L S • Morality alignment?: Lawful Neutral / Shattaah followed General Garza's orders to the letter for most of the class story, making a number of dark-side choices. (Though not as many as I expected.) By the end of Corellia, she was starting to buck that trend. (As for whether or not any of Shattaah's actions could / should have been considered crimes, legality is largely subjective during war time. • Sins: lust/greed/gluttony/sloth/pride/envy/wrath • Virtues: chastity/charity/diligence/humility/kindness/patience/justice
T H I S - O R - T H A T • Introverted/extrovert. Shattaah's modus operandi is to establish a circle of comfidantes and to become rather protective of them. And that is her group. Everyone else, she puts on the 'professional military officer' face. The one exception in the story was when Jaxo took her on a 'girl's night' on Coruscant. She actually warmed to that little group, and if Jorda hadn't been so inebriated, maybe things would have gone someplace. • Organized/disorganized. Shattaah's personal quarters are a mess. Clothes are strewn about everywhere. Honestly, the number one reason she chose Elara as her C.O. and not Jorgan was because she needed her to keep the rest of the ship in order. • Close-minded/open-minded. Shattaah is stubborn, and getting her to change her mind about something is like pulling teeth from a rancor. But she can change. • Calm/anxious. Although she certainly experiences moments of anger, Shattaah has a calm way about her. Most of her dark-side choices were made in coldness. • Disagreeable/agreeable. She holds her ground when she thinks she's right, sometimes even when diplomacy would be preferable. • Cautious/reckless. Contrary to her reputation as a charge-in-and-take-no-prisoners type, Shattaah knows how to pick her spots. • Patient/impatient. See above. • Outspoken/reserved. Her mouth has gotten her into trouble. He mild contempt for the Galactic Senate almost went badly. • Leader/follower. Leader. Shattaah's always been called upon to make tough decisions. From sending her twin brother to the Jedi to cutting her mother loose on Barith. • Empathetic/unempathetic. The galaxy has not been kind to her, and she rarely sees reason to be kind to others. Except for those who get close to her. • Optimistic/pessimistic. We're all going to die someday. She just doesn't want it to be on her watch. • Traditional/modern. The traditional ways led to the destruction of her world and nearly led to the destruction of the Republic. • Hard-working/lazy. She's relentless when she pushes herself.
R E L A T I O N S H I P S • otp: Aric Jorgan • ot3: Aric Jorgan & Elara Dorne (Shut up. It happened in a dream once.) • brotp: Ava Jaxo, RIP. 😥 • notp: Jonas Balkar
(Tagging! @jessaryss , @grandninjamasterren , @firebird-legacy , @raastredlegacy , @shabre-legacy , @semper-draca and anyone else who wants to.)

👀Shattaah
10 Facts About My Characters
1. Like all the members of my Barith Legacy, Shattaah Tey grew up in a refugee camp on Barith. Her family, like so many others, had fled the invasion by the Sith Empire. In 1 BTC, the Empire attacked the camp, forcing everyone to flee or die.
2. Shattaah's twin brother is named Vaykyar. She was always bailing him out of trouble, even though he was always trying to help other people in the camp. Where her personality was aggressive, his was passive. Despite everything his family had endured, he was defined by kindness. When they got off Barith (his doing) Shattaah - knowing by then that her brother was Force-sensitive - shoved him to the first Jedi she had met. She knew she might never see him again, but the life he might have as a Jedi was better than anything she could find for him. It would be years before she'd meet her brother again... after she became the commander of Havoc Squad, and he became the Bar'senthor.
3. Shattaah had done everything she could to keep her family together, even as her brother kept risking himself and her mother descended into prostitution and druge use. Only later did she find out her mother had only acted that way to acquire food for her children. She couldn't save her mother when Barith was attacked.
4. Right after saying goodbye to her brother, Shattaah signed up with the nearest Republic military recruitment center. (She lied about her age to get in.)
5. During the class campaign, Shattaah followed every one of Garza's orders - implied or explicit - right up until the moment on Corellia where Garza wanted her to ignore an attack on Republic civilians in order to capture some Imperial dropships. That's when she put her foot down. She was way too many orphans on Barith.
6. Shattaah actually had a slight crush on Fen Huang on Barith. She admired his stoic toughness, as well as his dedication. It never went anywhere; Shattaah was a tomboy and lacked confidence in initiating something at that awkward age. Things were quite different years later with Jorgan, obviously.
7. Her favorite part of her ship is her armory. Admiring all of her weapons.
8. An AU version of Vaykyar exists in the Green Legacy, but she was killed getting her brother off Barith.
9. She's possibly my prettiest OC. Either her or Quoraah.
10. She had a slight crush on Wraith in the Trooper story. She regrets having to kill her.
Thanks for the asks!

The Barith Legacy
During the peak of the First Galactic War, eight children become friends in a refugee camp on Barith. As Coruscant burned, the Empire came for the refugees who had escaped them, slaughtering their families and scattering the children to the corners of the galaxy. But children grow up. And when they do, they will change everything.
Barith Legacy (Left to Right) • Sonora Phit / Bounty Hunter / Cathar • Husalla Nasan / Smuggler / Mirialan • Zu'fanda Pampya / Sith Inquisitor / Twi'lek • Shattaah Tey / Trooper / Togruta • Pol'fenn / Jedi Knight / Twi'lek • Fen Huang / Sith Warrior / Human • Czuci Anjek / Imperial Agent / Rattataki • Vaykyar Tey / Jedi Consular / Togruta
I dropped Numanhi, I just wasn’t feeling her. On the plus side, Husalla is a lot of fun, and gives me a mirialan in the legacy. I also cleaned up the graphics the Fonts, and for Fen and Vaykyar, as the ones i had looked like junk. I hope to write something about them all at some point.
