Enjoying the Feast of Prosperity so far!  Ingredient gathering is easy, especially since the respawn time for enemies and world bosses has been greatly reduced.  The story mission on Rishi can be zoomed through if you don’t mind threatening everyone (because fuck waiting for 3 things to respawn for ages.)  And the cooking/serving missions are fun too - even if it took me a few rounds of dinner rush to figure out how to not fuck it up.

One of the hidden cheevos is Food Fight!  During one of the cooking missions, throw an ingredient into the dining room, and the patrons all yell at you. XD

(I knew I’d cleared the first boss fucking ages ago, but it turns out I’d done 8M and 16M, both on SM and VM.  Cool?  Now all I need to do is Gods From the Machine, and I’ll have completed all the Ops!)

Among other things I’ve done since Quarantine 2020 hit: finally killed all the DvL bosses!  And got those sweet, sweet decos of course.

(The only bummer is that this happened on two separate servers and I’ve moved my achievement mule toon around, so unless I can kill Defender Gilada on Satele Shan, I won’t get to see the “congrats you’ve killed everything!” cheevo)

As mentioned in my post about hitting Renown 999, I got every class to Renown 100!  Took about 5 months total (Dec 2019-May 2020) and that includes lots of overlap with the Renown 999 grind.

GODS FROM THE MACHINE: COMPLETE!  (1/2)

Finally got Gods done last night!  Other than my Discord overlay refusing to appear, it was a mostly smooth run - even if it did take 2 hours.  :-)

Like the rest of Iokath, the whole op looks super cool.  Took a few screenshots of the scenery just because.

Tyth was easy.  Aivela and Esne... not so much.  I don’t know what sort of sadist weirdo designed this encounter, but HOLY CRAP THAT’S A LOT OF SHIT EVEN FOR SM.  Click the right color and avoid circles and move beams out of group and now we’re all the same color and and there’s more beams and on and on.  In my attempt to keep a beam away from the group I backed right over the edge of the rhombus.  (And every single boss is on a platform!  WHY.)  The robo-twins are hardest SM Op boss I’ve ever fought, by a mile.

But there were no group wipes on the first two bosses, so that’s cool.

O hai. 

Between quarantine and super-duper double XP, I’ve been getting an even more ridiculous amount of time in SWTOR than usual.

Thorra has become my “get to Renown 999″ and “get to Valor 100″ toon.  Right now she’s at Renown 756 and Valor 69 (nice) - and even though I didn’t need the Social X cheevo she got that too.  Valor 100 is going to be a pain in the tits, but I should be able to max out Renown by the end of super-duper double XP.  It gets grindy sometimes, but that’s why I chose a stealther for this!

GODS FROM THE MACHINE: COMPLETE! (2/2)

Part 2 of yesterday’s Gods run.

Nahut (aka That Invisible Bitch) - not awful?  Definitely easier as a melee fighter, very much a “don’t stand in stupid” check.  Two people who knew what they were doing handled the guns/turrets/snipers/whatever the fuck, so that made things easier.

Our raid leader decided we didn’t need any instructions for Scyva, and he was right.  XD  Kill adds, kill boss, profit?  There was some shit on the floor and some antigravity temporary ability, but, SM.

Izax.  The giant flying lobster.  Killing adds and tethering and running around and avoiding stuff and beating on Izax and repeat.  I wasn’t quite fast enough to stay with the group during one of the mass artillery drops and ate shit (but I wasn’t alone this time!)  Achievement banner for killing Izax didn’t show up - or showed up when the whole screen went white - but it’s DONE.  And as a bonus, I got the Dodgeclaw cheevo! 

Overall, 10/10, will definitely run through this crazy-ass long fucking op again.

Grinding for GSF ships: Empire

Like pretty much everything else in SWTOR, I’ve played GSF on and off since it’s been around, but around early 2019 I got serious about mastering ships.  As part of Thorra’s Bigass Journey to Renown 999, I was able to complete all the Empire ships!

I still prefer gunships overall - which makes sense, given my love for rDPS - but I’ve gotten a lot better at handling the other ship types.

(Mastering all the Republic ships will take a bit longer...)

While I was getting Thorra to Renown 999, I did some Mad Cheevo Hunting - like KOTFE/KOTET Veteran: Never Again and Finally Got That 10th Yavin Walker Defeat.  And I had to do the same for the new Nightlife cheevos, of course!

It only took about a month and a half to get one toon of each class to Level 75.  (Getting the Renown cheevos is taking a bit longer)
