You got the vibes perfectly, and that contrast between Wren and Whitney is so spot on too! Its so good to see Rowan and Randy, and Rowan taking Jacob's spot is just...I can't stop staring at this piece. And Whitney as the Mother...I'd follow her anywhere. This was one of the big pieces that I have waited years to get and I'm so glad that I entrusted this to you. You've brought this to life in the most beautiful way and I'm trying not to cry because I'm so happy to finally see this happen. Nika, you're so talented and I'm so thankful to you for doing this for me. I honestly can't thank you enough, words are failing me, and as a writer, it means a lot. alright due to that one post about PokeParents im gonna share my headcanons that i have on discord - but these will be edited from that a lil so, lets go!! Part 1 - Pokemon Protags Red - Same as Ash in the anime (they are parallels of one another!), His Dad left when he was a baby to go be a trainer but just. disappeared. still sends the very occasional letter and money but Red's never met him and doesn't care too. Mama is about the same as Delia. Leaf - Same as Blue since I follow the hc they're siblings, so I'll cover her in the rivals post! Ethan - So! with my Chosen au/pokeverse, hgss is technically the third gen, so either Ethan's mom and him moved to Johto at the start of game while his dad still works in Hoenn, or his mom's just single. Lyra - I've been playing around with the idea that she's Professor Elm's daughter (since, i think he's got a daughter in canon?) but i found out through that other post that she as a rival is the granddaughter to the daycare couple! I'll cover Kris with the rivals Brendan - Norman's kid, just like the games, there is a mom in the games but I don't have much on her since I still haven't played these games! (I'll get to the once i figure out whateverthehell is going on with citra-) May - Prof. Birch's kid! same as Brendan, don't have much other than what is already well known, her parents are happily married (-unlike Brendan's-) Lucas - Actually I have his and Dawn's parents switched! So Lucas has the rival!Lucas' parents from in game (who i know the dad works with Prof. Rowan, mom i think is just at the home.) maybe his parents know Palmer? Dawn... & Selene! - Yep, in my personal verse; ChosenZVerse, I have Dawn and Selene as sisters! Dawn as the older, Selene as the younger. Their mom was the former contest performer, and their dad is a deadbeat, but considering bdsp maybe he was involved with galatic? at one point?? (where the hell did i get this??) 20 for sinnoh trio?

20.) a nostalgic memory from your OC’s childhood?

A lot of nostalgia for this three gets clouded by childhood trauma for them unfortunately. Mostly because the three of them had to grow up real fast dealing with the horrors of the world. And as a result their childhood, even later down the line when they’ve fully come to terms with what happened when they’re adults in Paldea and are starting to make futures on their own, and came to the conclusion that they love the world, it’s all very tainted.

But I think the concept of a simple time when they aren’t trying to grasp with the horrors, even if tainted, is still something they treasure.

Dawn often thinks about her times with Barry in the playground. There’s a specific memory where she remember him scraping his knee in the playground and his parents coming to his aid. She remembers their parents coming to investigate just what happened and why their children were crying (they both were because if one kid starts crying the other most certainly will as well). But it becomes fond when she just remembers both of their parents comforting them, watching Barry’s mom take out a first aid kit and watching her cover up the injury. It was simpler. Back when the tender embrace of your mom and a first aid kit could heal all.

A nostalgic memory for Barry would be with his parents as well. His dad was never around often as far as he knew, but back when his relationship with his mom was better and there wasn’t tension they would often just . Go in their backyard and play. Barry would hang off and piggyback on Dragonite, roughhousing with Palmer’s pokemon. Back when mom and dad got along, back when his own bad thoughts never existed. Like Dawn’s, it was a simpler time back when he didn’t have to grapple with complicated feelings.

Lucas grew up very lonely child and his childhood was very empty. He was loved, don’t get him wrong, he remembers the loving embrace of his parents who would support him in all he did. But he just spent time studying, it’s all he knew. So the first proper “nostalgic” memory is him catching his first pokemon. Having professor Rowan by his side, and feeling that rush seeing the new entry, as well as just the feeling of accomplishment that HE did it. It gave him a sense of rush and childlike wonder, back when learning didn’t feel so complicated.

They also have nostalgic memories together, such as arcade visits, poffin making, and Barry rushing ahead with Lucas trying to catch up, Dawn following far behind at her own pace. Again, back when things were more simple.

I’m a sucker for slice of life, expanding on the relationships and things we didn’t get to see much in canon. So I’m always down for some chill intermission stuff, type of interactions between muses. Especially if it ties in, with some kind of important/key moment in overarching story;

I actually suck coming up with generic / open types of scenarios for RPs, bc I much prefer coming up with them, as we plot and I get to learn more about your muse!

|| What relationships and dynamics are you seeking in those RPs?  

// I'm very iffy in regards to any form of found family stuff, due to some really bad experiences with it in the past. I'll be very selective about it, and might back out if this is forced upon my muses.

I'm always open for discussing and playing rivalries/antagonizing dynamics, and platonic things. Romance is always based off the chemistry, between our muses. Although, I'll definetely be all ears if you approach me specifically for it!

Wren is extremely empathetic and compassionate. She has an open mind, and is able to see all sides of a situation. She loves deeply and is very loyal. She, however, is always in need of validation—romantic or platonic. She’s very much a people pleaser, doing what she think is right by fault. It makes her easy to manipulate and guilt her into doing something for someone, because she has this need to be loved by someone. She’s very quiet and to herself, and keeps her own emotions bottled up because she was never able to express them without negative response.

Rowan is just an over all bright person with a bright personality. She’s confident, forgiving, and assertive. Despite her sunny personality, Rowan has problems creating true, genuine ties with people. Being nice and friendly is way different than actually knowing her. She also can be extremely prideful, and refuses to be wrong even if she is. She finds herself loyal to people she shouldn’t be just because she focuses so much on the past and who they used to be. Her reasoning isn’t always the most logical.

Jane is loyal and strong. She’s very brave and isn’t afraid to throw hands to defend her friends and her beliefs. She has a fun sense of humor, and is also a great listener. Jane won’t open up to people and she can be very cold and sarcastic, on the other hand. She has a deep-rooted fear of abandonment and that people won’t like her for who she truly is. So she shoves people away.

I’m not counting my tertiary muses, because as stated in my doc, they are meant only for my friends and those close to me. Latest RP url: Hxdrostorm Why did you pick your latest muse?: Expand on my other muses worldbuilding + stories, because I’m looking for something very specific. Which I’d rather do it myself, rather than expect it from sb else! Best RP Memory: My time at the Castlevania RPC back in 2017, no doubt about that! It was a small community, but filled to the brim with the coolest ppl! Hope they are all doing fine and great. Worst RP Memory: Oh boy, I got a handful of those alright. I decided to try and go back to my FC5 fic, which was originally supposed to be just from Wren’s perspective, but I decided (with helpful advice from friends) that changing povs would be more well-rounded and offer so much more. So have some of chapter two from Rowan’s perspective. 

I clenched my teeth as I attempted to pull from his grasp, his fingers digging into the hunter green jacket. My dark eyes blazed into his own, mirroring each other in more than just color as I huffed. “Let me go—”

“We need to leave. Now.” He insisted as he shouldered my rifle, his bow resting on the kitchen table in front of us. “Its started—did you pack the go bag like I told you?” A beat of silence passed between us as we continued our stare down, but he caved, shaking his head and glancing away with a frustrated sigh. “Damn it, Ro. I told you—”

“I can damn well take care of myself, Eli.” I replied as I finally pulled my arm free. It was irritating to see what he had done to my door since he had no way to unlock my doors—had no idea as to where I kept my only spare key. “Stop talking nonsense and talk normally—”

“The Reaping has started, Rowan.” Eli took a step closer, and I could see the panic in his eyes. “We need to go the Wolf’s Den. Now.”

It only took me a quick moment to assess the situation, just as the thunderous sounds seemed to draw closer—close enough to make Eli’s eyes dart to the window. My lips pressed together, I turned to grab my pack, but not to leave with him. As if sensing the change, he grabbed for my arm again, this time his grip made of steel. I just glared at him. “I gotta get to the station. Some of the boys are still there on night duty.”

“Don’t. They got the roads blocked and you won’t make it. We need to get to safety—”

I wiped around and stepped closer, forcing him back a step as I responded sternly. “There are people out there, Eli! People that need our help to get to safety.” Another explosion in the distance sounded. “If…if this is bad, then we can’t just leave them—”

His grip would leave bruises as he squeezed and I was taken aback at the desperation I saw written on my brother’s face. “Rowan. We will have to leave them for now. We…we’ll get them in the morning. We’ll come back for them. If they hide and can wait it out, it will be fine.” I let his lie clang through me, let the truth of the situation truly descend upon me. Every bit of my military training was at war inside, desperate to save those around me, but the logical more strategic part…it was telling me something different. Eli’s next words only confirmed it. “We’re no good to anyone dead. Grab your pack, we’re taking your quad for a ride through the woods, hopefully you don’t have any game from your hunting trip earlier.”

Whether his tone held any bitterness, it didn’t matter. I just shouldered the rifle he offered, grabbed my pack, and made a quick grab for the bow that waited to go on the next hunt.

name of your favorite muse: TBH It’s a tie between Kaiba and Morty. Morty is one of the muses I’ve been writing for the longest time, so I’ve got a long history with this character- something that I treasure a lot. And Kaiba has been such a joyride to write, ever since I decided to pick him up.

@obliviouskind​ / @littlesilverplatinum​ is the one responsible for the slav/scandinavian/east european inspiration/worldbuilding for the Sinnoh region. This is why my muses from there have russian/scandinavian surnames & why I’ve been debating in changing Morty’s for awhile now.

@littlesilverplatinum​ (again) and @harmonicrecord​ have helped me solidify the Sinnoh trio dynamic.

@plethoraofpokegals​ is the one who has helped me solidify my evil AUs for both Barry and Palmer. Their HCs about Team flare being a closed organisation, where only family members or those close to it may join is all theirs and to this day it has been something I hold dearly to them.

Also, this might be a common HC that I’m not aware of. But I’m crediting Knight once again, in regards to the HCs involving the strained/weak relationship between Byron and Roark. Long story short: Roark was an unwanted child day one, which explains how distant and awkward they are towards each other.

Gotta tag Lea @illunaris​ bc the idea of having a more laid back, not so set into work as most would expect from Steven came from their take on the character!

Arc’s Lance @dragonmasterlance​ introduced me to the character. One look at his story, with the shipping verse I have involving their Lance and my Morty you quickly notice some similarities between them. As well as his relationship with the clan has been influenced by their take on the subject.

Also it was through my interactions with @dragoncaper​ that I got for the first time, delve into the degeneracy and the destructive nature that is the relationship between my muses. Since then I have felt compelled to truly go wild with this.
