personal headcanon has been that because rava is a cut and dry spy for clan lavellan (and this mostly consists of intel gathering from local city elves and gauging the political climate of certain human settlements before the clan settles near them for their own safety) she's at least tentatively aware of the ben-hassrath and general qunari goings on in the free marches bc of how many elves they wound up recruiting out of kirkwall and she's pretty wary of iron bull at first because of this. i don't think she takes as hardline a stance on the qun as someone like solas does. it doesn't make a lot of sense to her but she's pretty aware of what its like in the alienages and can understand why some would turn to the qun instead just for lack of any other alternative.

which also ties into my headcanon that clan lavellan isn't especially isolated as far as dalish clans go, though. they do a lot of trading with humans and are easily recognized among eastern free marches' alienages and do a lot of business there selling trinkets to those that try and hang onto the old ways and what not. hence why rava's father had her with a city elf lady in the first place. scandalous... i imagine they probably take in a small handful of city elf runaways on occasion too but keeping clans numbers in even margins for safety is a big consideration. i also imagine theres some city elves who romanticize being dalish and then get there and are like 'wow this kind of sucks actually im going home where i'm at least more familiar with the hardship.'
