Thank you for the fun ask! I haven't thought of my ME characters in a while, honestly, so this took some time to answer, but I really loved it.

Lorraine "Lori" Shepard: (sometimes between ME2 and 3, probably) "I'm very lucky to have people on my side. I've lived and done more than most will in three lifetimes, good and bad, and yet there are some people who see me as enough to stand by me. I will never not be grateful for that. I couldn't ask for more."

But if you know anything about extremely intelligent people, it's that our pride in ourselves is the only thing that matches our greed for knowledge and power. So unless you had a gas mask on before the outbreak (for whatever reason, maybe like Allo from @creator-of-creativious) or use some type of filtered breathing like gills (external or filter gills like an Axolotl.) you would be effected.

Sebastian would be basically a “big bad” with his size and power. And the fact he has GUNS.

So saying that:

The ocs that would be aggressive:

Jixy (hiding away in some back room, probably heavily injured.)

Dani (small n feisty, more prone to bloodlust as well.)

Elena (justice god. Aka “oh no.”)

Lori (she has no lungs, is not effected, but it more aggressive for sake of survival.)

Ocs who are not aggressive:

Rose (@drowning-thistle. Has lungs, but the vines in her lungs pump a constant flow of fresh oxygen. Her head would be a big foggy though, causing some of her actions to be a bit brash. (Still a sweet heart, but still dangerous considering the VINES are effected. Her infection is sped up.).)

Navi (poor thing is completely harmless and helpless wether effected or not! She’s sticking to Rose’s side for the most part.)

Nebulon (no lungs. They’ve slinked back into the void mass controlled hallways. Doors have been blocked off.)

The Non Accountables.

Jix (hasn’t come up from the bottom of the ocean.)

Rain (trying their best to find an escape route from the outside. Horribly worried for Sebastian. (Gay.))

Safe houses.

Any space that’s blocked by water on all sides is safe. But the water isn’t. The gas can’t travel through the water, but it can get into it.

Most of Rose’s cafés. The over concentration of oxygen doesn’t allow for the gas to get in. It’s still dangerous to stay for a long period of time for normal breathers.

so, originally it started out as just a visual prop of sorts for the piece, since i really like lorikeets and handle them a lot, theyre lovely little guys with kinda freaky parrot eyes (tbh most parrots have freaky eyes) so i thought itd be a nice subject for an elias focused piece

but the more i thought about the more i got reeaally attached to the idea of the lori actually exsisting and mainly staying in the archives so he kinda turned into what i guess you could consider an oc LMAO.

anyways, this is lucius , lucy for short (yes og!elias named his bird after a stoicist)

my idea was that it was og!elias' pet parrot, i thought itd be a good way to show his eccentricism as wealthy people are sometimes shown owning expensive tropical birds in pop culture (loris are australian but besides that, somewhat expensive bird)

jonah ends up keeping the little guy after overtaking elias' body and grows fond of him, so he becomes a bit of a surveilance bird, not neccessarily needed to get closer look at things, but might as well put him to use -> lucy gets marked by the eye too i guess??

he hangs out in the archives creeping around a lot, but most of the staff just thinks its some weird mass hallucination and when jon brings up the bird hanging out in his office the others just accidentally gaslight him about it saying its just some weird effect of the archives no one knows why

its very affectionate towards jon specifically as hes the archivist, only being more affectionate towards elias himself obvs, he really doesnt like martin tho...

i have more to say cuz i thought of little scenarios but dont wanna make this ramble even Longer LMAO

Ah, man, it’s been a while since I’ve written about my Shepard.  I made her so long ago that it was before I even really started having multiple PCs for games like that aha.  I should probably write about her more... oops.

Thank you for the ask <3  And also, I don’t know if I’ll ever formally introduce Rebecca, so feel free to just...ask.  Lol.  Maybe your questions will help me turn her into a real character instead of just a blob for testing.

Lorelei “Lori” Shepard was a mostly paragon Sentinel who romanced Liara in the first game, no one in the second, and then ultimately got together with Kaidan.  I don’t remember all the details of her career, but I think she was a Spacer with the Sole Survivor background. This is set sometime shortly before the start of ME3, when Shepard is still on Earth in Alliance custody post-Arrival.

Lori liked to think she was resilient, after everything life, death, and her strange second chance had thrown at her.  And yet, every time she heard a whisper about how unfair it was that she had committed a massacre and yet was sitting pretty in a nice room at Alliance HQ with a damn view and almost free reign to walk around where she wanted, the breeze of her open window felt less like a gentle caress and more like a violent Warp.  She felt sick.  Her hands tightened on the sill until the metal pressed angry, crimson lines into her palms.

She wanted to explain herself, but even with the most just cause, even if she had bought the galaxy the time it would need, how could she justify it to every mother, father, parent, sibling, friend who had lost their whole galaxy because of what she did?

Her own mother hadn’t tried to contact her once.  Lori couldn’t blame her.

Crier’s War & Iron Heart by Nina Varela This is a epic fantasy duology with two WoC main characters; both are sapphic, and it’s a slowburn so like. don’t be me if you read Crier’s War then waited a year to get a hand on Iron Heart because my GODS it is a slowburn smfmd but other than that, words! Ms Varela’s words stun me so much. Especially Crier and Ayla’s narrations!   Oh it’s also a little bit of sci fi? But not like, complex shit, just fantasy meet sci fi but kinda?? It is still good through!
