headshots of the main cast of my wip!! from left to right it’s anya, lilibet, & sage. tumblr fucks up the picture quality but i hope it looks nice regardless lol
image id under cut:
ID: A digital painting of three characters side by side. They are all drawn from the shoulders up.
Left is Anya, a black girl with long braids with gold beads throughout. She has her head tilted slightly to the left and is looking a little past the viewer; her mouth is open. She is wearing a pearl necklace with a gold A dangling from it, a la Anne Boleyn; blood drips from the side of it, as if from a beheading wound. Behind her head is a gold halo.
Center is Lilibet, a girl with light brown skin and medium brown curls tied back in a ponytail. She is looking down with dark brown eyes in an intense manner; she has her lips pressed together, and her eyebrows are pointing downward. Her shoulders are raised. She wears a gold cross necklace around her neck. Next to her is a signature of the artist’s name, Isabella.
Right is Sage, a boy with dark brown skin. He wears his hair in a braided ponytail, with the ponytail over his right shoulder; the ends of the braids are dyed blonde. He is looking slightly to the left and his mouth is turned diagonally downward. He looks somewhat suspicious.
Behind all three of them is a gray background. End ID.

Finally finished one ref, simlish writing you are my friend😌✨✨
(Jeannie's is being remade, due to me not being satisfied with the line art after I showed the sketch. Also some with Lilibet, so I went with coloring the sketch. I don't give two shits if it's a colored sketch or not at this point lol. It's just hard for me to be satisfied with a drawing that's not just a sketch that's fixed up)
Fun facts
° Her name is a play on 'Little bit Curious'(Most Curious ancestors are a play on words that involve curiosity in it. So I couldn't help myself with an opportunity like that. The name is also real, It's a nickname for Elizabeth). Lilibet gets a little annoyed whenever her name is pronounced 'Lil-bit'
° Was shorter than average during her childhood, even as an infant. Her name fit her well, up until she was 15 from a huge growth spurt. She's currently 5'8 at her age, but she isn't done growing yet, lol
° During her childhood, Lili was a huge robot geek, finding mechanical engineering and robotics to be interesting. She wanted to become a robotic engineer, but as of recently her interests have shifted towards going into the music business. Finding the bass a top priority than engineering.
° Used to wear only hand me downs as a child. She liked wearing old clothes that originally belonged to her brothers, they were sentimental in her eyes. That's another thing that changed once she became a teenager, as she wanted to wear clothes that represented her more. Though she still has a few old shirts, so she's not completely over it
° Lili has no belly button, she draws one on her stomach everyday. Would later get a tattoo of one once she's old enough

day 11 : morning light
featuring Dmitri Antonov x oc Lilibet Grey, with Murray Bauman & Yuri Ismaylov
summary: an intimate moment isn’t quite as discreet as they thought, and Lilibet might be falling in love once again
rating: mature (fade-to-black sex recap)
wc: 645
cw: semi-public sex, voyeurism without consent, implied piv (unprotected), coffee abomination
an: written for the 200 Words Challenge. Kinda proud of this one considering I put this pairing together just a couple hours before writing this!
Pink light filtered gently into the abandoned church-turned-smuggler’s den as night gave way to dawn, and it was about the only gentle thing she had encountered in this country.
Almost.
Behind her, the Russian man stirred softly and Lilibet froze, waiting for him to drop back to sleep again, and was grateful when his breathing deepened once more. Carefully she rolled over to face him in their little cocoon of layered blankets and wraps. She was hoping that seeing him in the morning light would change things, that the spell would break with the dawn, and last night would go down on the list of mediocre encounters that were probably a mistake.
No such luck. Somehow, sleeping in a survivalist’s bundle on the floor of a frozen church only made Dmitri cuter, if that was even possible, the slack of his expression giving him a youthful innocence. One that had an interesting juxtaposition with Lilibet’s memory of his strong, sure hands sliding into her pants last night in pitch darkness, the chapel filled with the sounds of howling wind and the chainsaw snores of the pilot, at the opposite wall.
With their companions sleeping, or reasonably close enough to sleep, Dmitri had shifted closer to Lilibet, offering quite sincerely to combine their cocoons together and increase the warmth. Murray and Yuri had done it—though it was at least partially so that Yuri couldn’t attempt to escape in the night without waking Murray in the process—and Hopper and Joyce hadn’t quite merged their blankets into one, but had lain as close to each other as they could get otherwise. And watching the man she had loved and the woman she did love reconnect with each other, pulling away from her, made her heart ache in ways she couldn’t articulate. So she accepted Dmitri’s offer, and they wrapped themselves together, and when their bodies had slotted together gratefully in warmth, Lilibet asked if this was okay, and Dmitri responded with a soft, sultry, “This is perfect, little dove,” as if he could sense her loneliness, her heartbreak, and wanted to console her. She wanted to be consoled. When his palms slid beneath her layered clothes and found bare skin, she gave no signs of protest, and when her hands found his zipper and began opening it, he kissed her to silence his groan.
She wanted so badly for it to be a one-time thing, something she could easily let go of and walk away from. But Dmitri, damn him, was even more beautiful in the morning light, and the memory of his gentle lovemaking would replay in her fantasies for a long, long time, she knew.
With exceeding care, she pulled herself out of their cocoon without disturbing Dmitri, made sure her clothes had come to settle in the right places, and silently moved among the crates of smuggled goods. There was a shipment of jars of Nescafé instant coffee granules, and a dozen flats of bottled water, which she combined together to make a horrible bastardization of coffee. Pulling on her fur-lined hat and leather gloves, she tugged open the heavy church door and slipped outside with her bottle of cold, muddy coffee.
“Dobroye utro!”
Squinting against the sharp morning sun, she saw Yuri and Murray were working on the helicopter known as Katinka, and Yuri was waving a socket wrench at Lilibet with a horribly cheerful grin.
“Good morning!” he repeated loudly in English. “I hear somebody have good night last night, no? You make bad choice when choosing Russian lover, but Yuri will not hold against you.”
“Morning, Lil,” Murray said, speaking more quietly but with every bit as much mischief in his grin. “So… that was a fun little show. How was the disgraced former prison guard of a Russian gulag?”
Lilibet groaned, and pulled her hat down over her eyes in embarrassment.

Hi hi hi hi :] I like flickers
Flickers are a funny species I made! They're balls of sentient plasma that, thanks to being very fragile, often possess/haunt objects to use as bodies. Flickers need specific conditions to form in, but they are most common in the Flying Sparks local group, particularly around Beyond the Pale's can.
Lilibet (any pronouns), a flicker who formed a an iterator named Ever Falling on the Sand. Their first body is a brick :]
concept for Beyond the Pale (she/her), a slugerator who is responsible for making plush bodies for various flickers. She started doing this so they could leave her can and leave her alone, but she only won their affection lol

🩰 For Beatrix, it’s “Is your dad really in the mob?” in a tentative whisper, without preamble.
🐛 For Natalie, it’s “So how long have you been in Hawkins?” which would be irritating—seeing as her family moved here in 1980—if she hadn’t gotten numb to it years ago.
🦊 For Fox, it’s either going to be “Are you deaf?” if they notice his hearing aids, always spoken at too loud a volume and over-enunciated, or “Wow, did you draw that?!” if they don’t.
🎶 For Rourke, it’s “Where are you from?” the moment they hear his deep, rolling drawl and realize he’s sure as hell not from Indiana.
💐 For Lilibet, it’s “Don’t I know you…?” from any of the lifelong Hawkins residents in her age group, and she sort of likes knowing that somewhere behind all the nips and tucks, that plain, mousy girl she used to be is still under there.
🖤 For Georgette, it’s “Is it true about you and Tommy H.?” and she wants to curl up and die.
💋 For Rose, it’s “Can I get a refill, hon?” and you sure can, sugar.
What question is your OC most commonly asked?

day 15 : photographs
featuring Dmitri Antonov x oc Lilibet Grey & oc Georgette Grey
summary: Georgette is struggling with being back in Hawkins, and Dmitri finds out exactly why his stepdaughter hates it here so much
rating: general
wc: 927
cw: mentions of past manipulation and revenge porn of a minor, unfavorable depiction of Tommy H.
an: written for the 200 Words Challenge. I’m having fun exploring this man. :) I think I hc him as a pretty decent cook, and definitely has high dexterity. also I’m in love with the idea that he gets himself a motorcycle in Hawkins. more biker representation pls!
Returning to Hawkins had had an effect on Georgette, Lilibet could see it the very same day they arrived. Her daughter was reverting back to the version of herself that hadn’t yet been to California, hadn’t made friends at Lenora High or had sleepovers at her house on Lonzo Way. The Georgette who didn’t fit in and didn’t have much to say. Even securing an early summer job at Main Street Vinyl hadn’t lifted her mood. Some of it, perhaps, could have been attributed to shyness around their new roommate, but Dmitri couldn’t be the source of all her malaise. Lilibet had seen with her own eyes that the two of them got along well enough; even Georgette’s aloof tuxedo cat, Count Ulfric Arpeggio, seemed to grudgingly accept Dmitri’s presence.
So while Dmitri was busy in the kitchen, prepping vegetables for dinner—he had insisted on taking care of meals for the family, wanting to pull his fair share of the weight even while he hadn’t yet found employment in Hawkins—Lilibet approached Georgette. Plopping down next to her on their new sofa, Lilibet cut right to the chase.
“Alright, so are you ready to tell me what’s going on yet?”
Georgette looked at her mother, brow furrowing. “I… don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Why you’re retreating into your shell again,” Lilibet supplied. “As soon as we crossed the Hawkins town line, you started wilting. What’s happening?”
“Oh.” Georgette looked away, swallowing awkwardly. “You remember what happened.” She paused before adding, quietly, “With Tommy?”
An idle fury clawed Lilibet’s insides at the mention of the boy’s name, but she kept her face impassive. “Yes.”
“Yeah. Bet you’re not the only one.”
“Oh, sweetheart…” Lilibet reached out and touched her daughter’s knee, rubbing it soothingly.
“It was just really nice being two thousand miles away from anyone who’d ever even heard of Tommy Hagan and had ever seen my boobs.”
The way her daughter’s head hung in shame made Lilibet’s heart hurt, and she wrapped her arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug. “It’s been two years, baby. I’m sure most people have forgotten it entirely, and the rest… well, fuck them. They don’t have photographic memories, and if all they have to do with their spare time is try to recall the details of those photos, that says a hell of a lot more about their pathetic selves than it does about you.”
“But we never got all the copies back,” Georgette said, her voice cracking as she spoke into her mother’s shoulder, “and they have to be out there somewhere. What if being back in Hawkins makes someone remember they have one in their desk drawer and it starts getting passed around again?”
That fury was still coiling in Lilibet’s chest, and she spoke in a tone that was carefully measured but still licked of flame. “If it resurfaces, then we’ll prosecute. You were sixteen years old, which makes it a felony to even have a copy in the first place. And this time we won’t have to trade that charge away as a bargaining chip to keep Jonathan out of jail.” She pulled away from Georgette, her hands holding Georgette’s shoulders, and met her daughter’s eyes head-on. “If anyone is still holding on to that photo, if they have one shred of intelligence in their skull, they’ll keep it to themselves.”
From behind them came the sound of a throat being cleared, and they looked over the back of the sofa to find Dmitri standing in the doorway, his chef knife in hand, bright orange flecks of carrot clinging to the blade.
“I’m sorry to interrupt,” he said, speaking very politely, “but I seem to have forgotten the onions.” His gaze settled on Georgette with a gentle smile. “Would you maybe have a few minutes to run out and purchase a bag for me?”
“Can I take your motorcycle?” she asked hopefully, but her mother cut in before Dmitri could respond.
“Absolutely not, but you can take my car.”
Georgette groaned, but pulled herself up off the couch and headed for the front door.
“And please don’t change the radio station presets!”
“I won’t,” she sighed with all the apathy of a beleaguered teenager, and closed the door behind her.
Dmitri waited a few more seconds before he spoke again. “Am I permitted to ask what that discussion was about?”
“You were eavesdropping?” Lilibet teased.
“I dropped no eaves, I was merely close enough to hear you. I cannot turn off my ears at will.”
With a sigh, Lilibet shifted on the couch, rising onto her knees on the cushions and turning toward the back of the couch to face Dmitri. “There was a boy Georgette had feelings for in high school, his name was Tommy Hagan. And Tommy decided to pretend he had feelings for her as well, as a joke. And apparently he was very convincing, because it went on for weeks, with Georgette thinking they were in love, and eventually she gave him a… let’s say, a very private photo of herself. By the next morning, he’d had hundreds of copies made and taped up all over the school for everyone to see.”
As Lilibet spoke, Dmitri’s expression hardened, his mouth a tight line, his eyes icy. He looked toward the front door again, then back to Lilibet.
“May I ask two more questions, my dove?”
She nodded, and the chef knife twirled in Dmitri’s grasp.
“Where is this Tommy Hagan now, and how dead would you like him to be?”

The Parting Glass - Robert "Rosie" Rosenthal x OC
AO3 | Summary | Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
Chapter 3- You Deserve It
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The past three weeks had not been kind to those at Thorpe Abbotts. Crews were going down left and right, and to top it all off, a crew had crashed during a test practice. Morale was low on base, and Bucky deemed that the remaining crews, alongside the women of the base, should all go out for a night at the local pub.
As the girls got ready, each one had a job to do. Anika was in charge of painting nails with clean coats of Victory Red, due to her perfectionism. Lilibet was helping each girl with makeup, helping to ensure their red lipstick would be smudge-proof for the evening ahead. Shiv provided the girls with sips of alcohol that had been swiped from the bar, and Aileen was doing her best to set the tone for the night. Sorcha had been tasked with doing each of the women’s hair, pushing aside each girl's complaint of her being too forceful.
“Ouch!” Aileen cried from her seat on Sorcha’s bed, “Why do you always have to be on hair?”
“You asked me to! And unfortunately, beauty is pain, love.”
Aileen sighed in agreement to her response, shifting the conversation so that she wouldn’t be focused on how much pain her head was in, “I’m going to dance with a man tonight.”
“Let me guess,” Shiv started, seemingly knowing how the conversation would go, “That man would be Egan?”
“No,” Aileen stated, causing the girls to gasp, “I’m done with him. There’s no point in chasing after a man when there’s so many available.”
Sorcha smiled at her friend's words, feeling a mixture of pride and sympathy. As much as she wanted the Major and Aileen to get together, there was only so much she could do. Aileen was right in her own way, seeing as there were dozens of men who would fall at her feet if she so much as smiled at them.
“Anika would know something about that, wouldn’t she?” Lilibet teased. Anika let out a noise of shock before launching her pillow at the girl. Harmonious laughter sounded from the chorus of girls, each reveling in the harmless teasing of the others. A sense of peace washed over Sorcha as she looked upon her friends. For a moment she forgot that they were all stationed on a military base, miles from home. The atmosphere of the hut felt like one of a college dorm, with girls giggling over boys they liked, sneaking sips of alcohol, all while getting ready for the night.
“Okay,” Shiv spoke, grabbing the girls' attention, “So we know Anika has DeMarco, Aileen will find whoever, and Lilibet has her boy at home. That leaves you and me, Devs.”
Sorcha was fast to shake her head at Shiv’s words, “Absolutely not. I have no interest in falling for anyone right now.”
The girls let out various sounds of protest at their friend's words. Each one of them wanted to see their friend appreciated as she should be. Sorcha was not one to discuss her dating history, firmly stuck in the belief that the past should remain in the past, and that there was no need to rehash what happened years ago. Still, her friends attempted to bring the topic of romance up when they felt it was necessary.
“There’s no point in changing my mind girls.” Sorcha stated as she finished up Aileen's hair, “Oh don’t you look gorgeous!” Aileen spun herself around, letting the girls shower her with praise as she giggled.
“Yes, yes, we all look gorgeous. But could we get going now? I don’t want to miss all the fun.”
“Ma’am yes ma’am. Anything you say, Major Shiv.” teased Anika, giving the girl a military salute and walking towards the door in a march. Aileen was quick to follow the girl, her giggles continuing as the group headed towards the door. Lilibet stood beside Sorcha, linking their arms as they stepped out into the darkness of the evening.
“They’re going to be a lot to handle tonight, aren’t they?”
“When are they not Lils?”
—-----------------------------------------—
The pub was bursting with energy when the women arrived, the sound of music combined with lively conversations was enough to make Sorcha burst from happiness. This atmosphere reminded Sorcha of home, as her parents would take their family to local pubs, eager to engage with fellow Irish immigrants in the community. Sorcha had learned to dance by the age of 3 and could list off the names of countless drinks by 8. Some would look at her upbringing and believe she was a walking stereotype, but Sorcha took it with pride, not being ashamed of how she was raised.
As soon as the girls stepped foot in the building, John Egan was there to greet them. The man stumbled on his way over, but still exuded charm, “There’s my girls! We’ve been waiting up for ya.”
“Clearly not long enough,” Shiv stated as she gazed at the Major, unimpressed.
“You wound me, Shiv, you really do.” Bucky clutched his heart, exaggerating the effect the words had on him. Still unimpressed and unenthused by the Major, Shiv grabbed Aileen and Anika and moved towards the bar, leaving Lilibet and Sorcha on their own.
“She doesn’t like me,” Egan said as he turned to the women in front of him.
“No, she does not.”
“I love how you sugarcoat things for me Devs. Really makes a man feel good about himself.”
“If you wanted to feel good about yourself, you wouldn’t keep me around.”
Bucky chuckled as he took in Sorcha’s words, leaving the conversation as he pursued a new target. Lilibet looped her arm through Sorcha’s as she led them to the bar. Once they arrived, they could see Anika chatting with DeMarco, and a few feet away Shiv and Aileen were looking for a suitable candidate to be Aileen’s next match. A soft smile fell upon Sorcha’s lips as she watched the scenes around her. There were a few times she felt at peace during the war, and seeing her friends happy was one of those times.
“I ordered you a Whisky if that's ok,” Lilibet spoke as she noticed her friend's fond expression, “You do so much for these girls, Devs. Honestly, they all look up to you.”
Sorcha shook her head as she received her friend's compliments, “No. If anything, they look up to you. You’ve been here longer than we have.”
“Don’t try to deflect my praise and then call me old!”
“You know that’s not what I meant, Lils.”
“Do I?” Lilibet teased before taking a sip of her drink, “In all honesty, Devs. I know you’re not looking for anyone, but what about Egan? I mean you’re with him all the time. Practically glued to the hip.”
Sorcha was quick to dismiss her friend's words, “Trust me, that’s not a thing. First of all, it would crush Aileen, even though she says she’s over him. Plus, we’re just good friends. I know that because he hasn’t made any real advances on me. I know what everyone says, but it's better to let them continue than lose my friendship with him.”
“God, you’re so mature.”
“I only seem that way, Lils. Believe me, I’m not always this way.”
Lilibet rolled her eyes at Sorcha’s words, understanding that no amount of arguing would sway her position. The two women stood in comfortable silence as they sipped their drinks and watched the scenes in front of them. Occasionally they would whisper something to the other, whether it was poking fun at a pilot who was too drunk to walk, or checking in on their girls. Aileen was currently chatting with Curt Biddick, whereas Shiv had opted to converse with some Red Cross girls. Sorcha and Lilibet had to decline dances with a few men, given that Lilibet had a boyfriend, and Sorcha was just plain uninterested. Though to her credit, Lilibet only chastised her friend's lack of socializing a few times.
Sorcha was on her second drink of the evening when a blushing Aileen came in front of her, Curt on her heels. “Ma’am,” the young man spoke as he addressed the two women. Sorcha could feel the nerves pouring out of him, though she couldn’t blame him, seeing as the Tower Girls had built a reputation for being protective over one another.
“Curt, it’s nice to see you again.” Sorcha greeted as she eyed the man up and down. “I hope that you’re treating our Aileen all right.”
“Of course, ma’am.”
“Oh please don’t call any of us ma’am,” Lilibet groaned, “It makes me feel so old.”
Aileen was quick to chastise her friend, giving Lilibet a quick slap on the arm, “Leave him alone Lils.” Curt chuckled beside the girl as she wrapped an arm around his waist, not going unnoticed by Sorcha.
“Ease up on the guy, that’s my New York brethren you’re talking to.”
“That’s right,” Curt spoke with a sense of pride, “Aileen mentioned that you’re from New York and that you’re Irish. Seems like we have something in common.”
“Oh please,” Aileen interrupted with her thick accent, “You two are Irish-American. I’m the only Irish one in the group.”
Sorcha and Curt shared a look at the girl's words, laughing to themselves in a quiet understanding. “Of course you are, who else could compare?”
Aileen flushed at Curt’s words, unable to form a proper response. Before she could get her words in order, Bucky called for Curt to join the men at their table.
Curt turned to Aileen as he planted a brief kiss on her cheek, “Duty calls. I’ll be back soon.”
The Irish girl's face was bright red, matching her ginger hair as she avoided the knowing looks of her friends. “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what?” Sorcha cooly asked, receiving a glare from Aileen, “We’re just happy for you. Biddick’s a nice guy.”
“Just don’t get too attached already, sweetheart,” Lilibet said softly. She took it upon herself to be the mother hen of the group, having more life experience, as well as a strong relationship.
“I won’t!” Aileen protested, “I promise, I won’t. He’s just such a sweet guy.”
Sorcha and Lilibet chuckled at the girl's words, understanding them to be half-true. Aileen was the youngest out of their small group, so then others took it upon themselves to watch over her. Each girl had their own way of going about it, Shiv being the most direct with her advice. Sorcha viewed Aileen as the younger sister she had always wanted. The two were close, but no one could compare to Lilibet in Sorcha’s book. Sorcha met Lilibet on her first day at Thorpe Abbotts. Lilibet had recently been transferred there by the WAAF, to train the newcomers and share her 4 years of experience. Sorcha found herself drawn to Lilibet, asking her about her life since the start of the war, eager to try and understand what she was getting into. Lilibet was kind to her, divulging what she felt comfortable with, and in time, growing close to the girl filled with questions. By the time the crews arrived, the two were inseparable.
The women remained by their place at the bar, chatting about the work ahead of them tomorrow, that no one was looking forward to. Shiv and Anika eventually rejoined the group, falling into conversation alongside their friends, each girl attempting to pry information from Anika about her night with DeMarco.
Sounds of commotion outside broke the women out of their exchange, heading into the alleyway where the scene was occurring. When they stepped outside they were greeted by the image of an RAF officer lying on the cobblestone, and Curt being spun in the air by Bucky. All eyes fell on the group of women as they emerged, their cries of victory being replaced by shy silence.
Curt though, was undeterred as he made his way over to Aileen, “Guess who just socked an RAF prick in the face!”
Aileen avoided the man's eyes and she attempted to be judgemental, but a small smile cracked her terrible facade. Sorcha and Lilibet glanced at Aileen as Curt wrapped an arm around her, “What?” She exclaimed, “He probably deserved it.”
“Damn right, he did!” Cried Bucky who was standing alongside Buck and Croz, the latter meeting Sorcha’s eyes with a nervous smile.
“How about we get you boys home?” Lilibet asked as she attempted to herd the group down the alleyway and back into the street. Sorcha was about to follow before she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder. She didn’t need to look to know it was Bucky, alcohol reeking from him.
“What’s your stance on boxing, Devs?”
“I don’t really have one Bucky. Sorry to disappoint.”
“That’s a shame. You should’ve seen Curt go at that British know-it-all.” Bucky said as the two followed the rest of the group back to base. “That kid has fists of lightning I tell ya.”
Sorcha chuckled at the man's words before prompting a question, “Dare I ask what the fight was about?”
A sudden seriousness washed over Egan at his friend’s words, all the drunkenness leaving his body, “They were telling us how to bomb. Saying we’re going on suicide missions. As if I don’t know that! Believe me, I do. I’m up there as an air exec, watching my men go down mission after mission.”
Sorcha remained silent as Bucky spoke, taking in each of his grievances. She felt pained as he continued, wishing there was a way to help him in this moment. Both of them knew what the obvious fix for his problem was, but Bucky had a job as an air exec and would do his best until he could get demoted and back in the forts. All she could do to comfort Bucky was squeeze his hand, knowing that no amount of words would take away the pain and loss he felt.
“You’re doing what’s been asked of you. Every man on base looks up to you Bucky, all you can do is lead them the best you can.”
Bucky glanced down at Sorcha, a soft smile playing on his lips, “Enough of this sincerity, Devs. Doesn’t look good for my reputation.”
“God forbid I’m nice to you for a moment. I’ll remember this when you’re hungover tomorrow”
“I take it back,” Bucky replied quickly, “You can be a menace when I’m hungover.”
“I’m not that bad!” Sorcha protested as Bucky laughed at her, “You always think I’m a menace.”
“All in good fun, Devs.”
Sorcha shook her head as the pair returned to Thorpe Abbotts, heading to their barracks.
“Please, you’d be lost without me.”
“I’m sure that's true,” Bucky said as they approached Sorcha’s bunk. “Goodnight, Devs.”
“Night Bucky, drink plenty of water tomorrow!” Sorcha called as the man walked away.
As she stepped into her bunk, Sorcha felt a wave of exhaustion crash over her. She knew everyone would feel the repercussions of the night the next day, but all she could focus on was getting a decent night’s rest.

Lilibet's eyes are sweet and curious, there is depth and intensity in the gaze of such a little person. The eyelashes are long, thick and lovely, giving an even more angelic and expressive appearance. And remind Emily, they share the same shade of chocolate brown, which easily earn Y/N in just a few seconds staring at her with an adorable pout, this always makes her want to hug the little girl and fill her with kisses. In fact those eyes are the woman's greatest weakness, because she can never say no to the little princess. She is her weak point. Another thing the little girl shares with the chief is her smile, straight teeth, dimpled cheeks, and when she smiles, lips formed in a way that highlights her heart-shaped mouth. It's one of the most adorable features of the little one, along with all the other hundreds of features the mother can list as she faces her daughter about to fall asleep on her hotel bed, wrapped in a thin colorful blanket and hugging her plush teddy bear. Lilibet is having trouble sleeping after all that has happened and with the little nap on the way, it had not been long or quality, but enough. When this happens the brunette becomes sly and difficult to deal with, also a bit moody, so all that is left for Y/N to do is use her secret weapon, lullabies. "Hush Little Baby", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "All the Pretty Little Horses", "Mary Had a Little Lamb", "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". She sang one by one hugging Lili, caressing her dark hair and thinking how lucky she is to have her in arms, how every second counted so she could act, not even wanting to imagine what would happen if she didn't get there in time.
So many years working at Interpol and also at the BAU have made her realize that even though she is not in a job that requires guns constantly she has decided that she must protect her small family safe from the evils that surround them, from horrible people just like the ones she has had to deal with and possible retaliation from the past. Although Clyde has given her a clean record and a safe place, she can't ignore the fact that those monsters she has imprisoned or their partners may seek revenge. So that's why she decided to keep a gun at home, making sure it was always locked up and out of Lilibet's sight. She knew that she would need to be prepared in case any kind of emergency occurred and also to ensure their safety, determined not to allow her daughter to have to go through anything like what she went through before, in the end it only served to protect them because now she knows that even at a very young age Lili will probably carry marks from that day forever.
- How I wonder what you are... - she whispers the last verse of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", the girl's favorite and sung for the third time in the night.
After two hours of fighting against sleep Lilibet finally falls asleep, her plush teddy bear pressed against her chest, face relaxed, body light and her breathing becoming calm as the minutes pass. Mother pulls the blanket over her body, covering her carefully and gently, placing a loving kiss on the little forehead before settling down beside her. But then, only after ensuring that her daughter is all right, can she deal with her own demons. Images from the day before take over mind like a movie that repeats itself several times, like when someone loses the remote control and is forced to watch the same bad channel over and over again. She sees herself running down the halls, the gun in trembling hand, the adrenaline high, the steps fast. She finds herself desperately trying to reach the room where Lili was, the panic and fear of losing her daughter consuming her, and then the familiar sound of gunshots, then red, very red mixed into the wooden floor of the foyer as the child stood there, standing. And she constantly watches herself reliving that moment, unable to change the channel, unable to pull out those memories along with all the unassimilated feelings and sensations.
Her eyes are fixed on the ceiling fan spinning at medium speed, on the city lights vaguely illuminating the dark room, attentive to the muffled noises coming from the ground floor seven stories below, and to those in the corridor where she is, memorizing the footsteps of the security guards, worrying about anyone different from them. But the dry thuds against the floor are more familiar than Y/N would like to admit, instead of knocks on the door she hears the metallic sound of keys against the lock and the knob turning next. She curls up in bed pressing the blankets even tighter against her chest, unable to look at the door and who has entered. She hears heels, but her mind refuses to believe the safe possibility and goes into another alert mode, survival speaking louder than reason. Her heart beats harder to the point where she could swear to hear it, hands sweat and she felt paralyzed, trapped in her own instrusive thoughts. When a hand touches a shoulder, Y/N trembles even more and her heart speeds up to the point of feeling almost pain, which makes her tear up, tears caught in the edges of the eyes. Y/N's hands tremble and she feels even more paralyzed against the bed, she feels helpless as if she is stuck in a maze of thoughts, unable to find a way out to free herself and suddenly back to square one, desperate. The woman still can't turn to look at who is there, but something inside her calms a little as she hears Emily's calm, familiar voice.
- Hey, hey... Relax, it's just me, Emily. - the brunette whispers taking the hand off her shoulder and moving to hold her in a tight hug, pulling the body against her own as Y/N stifles a cry in the curve of the chief's neck so she doesn't wake the child sleeping next to her - It's okay. Calm down, it's okay.
Emily has arms tightened around her, it is cozy and comforting, her touch is soft, Y/N can recognize the scent of the brunette's usual perfume as well as the shampoo as the strands rub against her face. Even though they were divorced years ago she can feel the familiarity and comfort of being in her arms, Emily still knows how to soothe her. She can feel the strength around, it somehow makes her feel protected, so her body slowly relaxes, allowing Y/N to snuggle even tighter against her ex-wife's body, hear her whispering in ear that everything is okay now while thin and gentle fingers caress her head slowly until breathing normalizes and her body stops shaking, the tears have stopped making eyes burn so much when they dry.
- I'm here, no one will hurt you. You don't have to be afraid, you're safe... - Emily's voice is clear, calm and gradually makes the woman relax, slowly the bad thoughts dissipating as she concentrates on the voice that continues to speak reassuring words, bringing her back to the present - - Are you okay now? - Emily asks gently, looking at her with a worried expression in eyes, the same expression she indentifies in her daughter every time she looks at her now and it made Y/N break into tears.
- I don't know, I still don't know. - she whispers, voice almost inaudible not wanting to leave her chest as she separates from the chief, moving quickly to check on the daughter, but seeing her peaceful appearance and in deep sleep reassures herself. Y/N looks over her shoulder to Emily, still seeing concern in her face - I don't know what was going on, but... thank you.
- You're welcome. - Emily nods, putting her hand lightly on Y/N's shoulder - I think it was an anxiety crisis. Are you ok now? If you need anything, I'm here. - she says gently, looking into Y/N's eyes and trying to give a smile, unsuccessfully, her heart aches to imagine what the former agent is going through and the child too - We can talk about it, if you want.
Y/N wipes the tears away and swallows hard, trying not to cry again. She turns to Emily, trying to keep a neutral expression, hiding her feelings of pain, fear and helplessness.
- I'm fine, thank you. - she says, forcing a smile. - Don't worry, it's nothing. I'll be fine in time. Now, let's talk about what we had planned.
- Are you sure you're well enough to talk about it? If you don't want to talk about it now, we can postpone the conversation. - Emily sighs and approaches carefully, gently trying to touch Y/N's shoulder again, but she pulls away, her hard gaze making it clear that she is not ready for contact - I understand, don't worry.
- No. No, I'm fine. - she replies, keeping a firm voice as she can, directing the topic - So, have you read Lili's entire file? Are there any questions that need to be clarified? Anything you'd like to know?
The brunette is silent for long seconds, head down as her mind fills with mixed feelings as she hears her talking about this topic with a certain distance and coldness in voice, Emily feels a combination of sadness and guilt, because if Lili is really her daughter, then she has missed important growing up years, all those first moments like first steps, word, school day, first soccer game or whatever she does as a hobby, as well as birthdays. She was not there to hold her and help blow out the candles. Emily sighs deeply, aware that she may never have the chance to make up for lost time, nor would there be any way to go back in the past and try to do something different, because if there was she would definitely do it. She raises her head, looking at Y/N, and swallows dryly settling herself on the bed. Her jaw is tense and she tries to struggle to formulate something decent, non-invasive, trying to find the right words to express her feelings, but she can't.
- I know the file tells some things about her, but... does she have something she likes to do? Something she loves? Favorite color? - the chief bites the tongue, feeling suddenly silly for having asked so many trivial questions when there is a big question in the middle.
- I thought the first thing you would do is question motherhood. - Y/N laughs and sits down on the end of the other bed facing her ex-wife - Let's start from this point.
- Okay, so, how? I left and you were already pregnant? But our last attempt was months earlier. - Emily tries to do the mental math between her going to London and Lilibet's birth, remembering the time period between their last attempt to get pregnant and her leaving, the question on her mind from the moment she read the file - And we had negative results.
- One week and a few days before you left I secretly tried one last chance, two after you left for London came the positive. I called you.
- And I never answered. - the woman completes in a shaky voice - I don't question being or not being Lilibet's mother, I believe you. Besides, she's the personification of the Prentiss.
- That's true, she has those eyes and smile of yours, the nose is clearly of Elizabeth. - Y/N squares her shoulders and turns to face her daughter, knowing she could never deny her genetic heritage when a small version of her ex-wife is lying there wrapped in the blankets -- If you want, we can do a DNA test, also, I still have all the documents of the fertilization clinic. - she suggests, with care in temper.
Emily sighs and nods reluctantly in agreement, staring at the child behind Y/N, her heart tightens and there is a strange weight in the pit of stomach. She feels the need to get closer, to know Lili's personality and way of being, to better understand who she is, who she can become. To know the little girl's world.
- I wish I was here with you Y/N, when you were pregnant with Lilibet and her growth. I wish I could have been a part of that. But, unfortunately, I can't change the past. - the brunette's body is trembling and she feels the sweat starting to run down her hands -- And I know that no matter how hard I beg you won't forgive me so easily. So I can only ask. Can you tell me how it all went? What were your symptoms when you thought you were pregnant? How did you find out? I want to know more about Lilibet.
The former agent sighs, feeling suddenly sick, everything that has happened in the last few days is simply too much, first the attack, that man, meeting her ex-wife again after 4 long years, Emily discovering their daughter and consequently probably returning to her life just as she once arrived. She looks at Lilibet behind her, eyes gazing at her baby with love and admiration, it's a little human being that she wanted so much and brought into the world. And even though Emily Prentiss didn't know it, she was a part of that process. Y/N understands that despite the hurts and events no matter what happened in the past for now, what really matters is Lili. She turns to Emily again, nodding.
- You're right, Prentiss. I won't forgive you so easily, but for me what matters right now is Lilibet and her feelings. She will never be denied of anything. - Y/N pauses, taking a breath and the courage to continue - I would never deny you the... right to be Lilibet's mother, nor would I deny Lilibet the opportunity to have the other mother by her side. She needs love and care, I just want the best for my princess. - she swallows down her saliva, still not believing that this feared moment has arrived and to go through her pride for the sake of the girl's happiness is harder than she thought it would be - I'm here to answer your questions, as apparently I won't be able to sleep. After all.
Emily opens the mouth to say something, but no words come out. She then quickly approaches Y/N and hugs her with excitement, wrapping her in arms tightly, affectionately and gratefully. Although she returns the contact the woman carefully pulls away, as if the touch is burning her, which is not entirely untrue. Where she is touched burns, leaving a lingering trail on Y/N skin, etched as well as scent of her perfume on her clothes.
- So...
- Ah! - the chief realizes she just did and practically throws herself back to where she was before - I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself. I want to think of something to ask, but there are so many things about her that I don't know where to start, maybe the basics. What is her favorite color? What does she like to do? Is she a lively child or a quieter one? That would be ironic, a quiet child was all my parents wanted. - she laughs sadly, unable to know what the girl is like even though she spends a day watching her, the guilt takes over her stomach and reaches into bile with this dull feeling.
- Well, her favorite color is green, she also likes pink tones, except for vibrant ones. Lili loves to draw and paint, and sometimes she can be quite agitated, especially on colder days, because all she wants to do is go out and play in the garden. - a bright smile appears on Y/N's lips as she talks about her daughter, and this doesn't pass unnoticed by Emily, who pays attention to every word, absorbing everything - She also loves to sing and dance, she is a little fan of musicals and Disney movies. Lili is really smart, she can already read little books, and is learning to count.
- It's amazing how smart she is for her age. - Emily comments, looking a bit amazed - You have done a great job with her. It's really fortunate that Lilibet has you for a mother. And... what else can you tell me about her? Does she do any activities? Maybe soccer.
- She is too young and small to play soccer, but she has been practicing ballet since 2 years old and wants to join the pre-school baseball league as soon as she turns 4. She loves sports, almost constantly accompanies me on walks, and when we are at home, there are the games and active play. - she smiles sadly, remembering that the girl had a day like that and was putting together her own mess when that man showed up, so she closes the eyes trying to erase it from her memory for the moment and tries to change the topic - Any other questions?
- I... - Emily was about to start asking, but was interrupted by the beep of her phone. She picks it up to see what was sent and her face becomes apprehensive - It's Tara calling me back to the BAU. There's a new lead. I have to go. Sorry, Y/N. I'd really like to talk more, but... - she gets up, already preparing to leave, putting her leather jacket against the body and the holster on her waist - Try to get some sleep, anything I call and if you need anything just call me, my number is on the nightstand.
- You can't tell me anymore about the lead?
- One of the invaders was captured. Do you remember the Petros Galanis case? - Emily feels frustrated for having to interrupt the conversation, but at the same time is motivated by finally having a useful lead about what is going on, besides that anything related to the case concluded years before has to be observed and treated with care - It's one of his former henchmen.
- Is Petros seeking revenge? Or one of his sons? - the question is practically rhetorical, Emily neither agrees nor responds - But we arrested him along with his sons, the only one who was not arrested reported him in and is in witness protection.
- He is a man with many cards up his sleeve. - the brunette says low, more to herself than to the woman, and shudders to imagine what the Greek mobster could do in retaliation, she knows he has connections with powerful people and has the ability to provide resources that many others don't have, which probably allowed him to invade the agents' house even in prison - I'll reinforce security here, Will and the boys are in the next room if something happens and I can't get there in time.
- Okay. - by now the tension has taken over the air, both feel the fear running down their spines, as much as they were protected and off the radar, the Galanis family had been one of the biggest criminal organizations they faced at that time, with a legacy marked of violence, power and intimidation, leaving a trail of corpses. When the case was closed there was the near certainty of the decimation with the arrest of the leader and his heirs, so the agents involved would be safe, but apparently not, no one is safe when there is one of them out there - Please take care.
- I will, you take care too. And of Lili. - Emily smiles weakly and approaches the child, leaving a kiss on her forehead. Then, she turns to Y/N and automatically does the same thing to her, an affectionate gesture and at the same time a farewell, something they used to do when they were married and even after years away her body still seems used to it. - Everything will be fine, try to get some sleep.
- Right.
And Emily left the hotel room with the feeling of fear in the pit of her stomach but mentally determined and ready to act on this case, to confirm if that arrested piece of shit is still connected to the greek mafia and what the hell Petros Galanis might be up to, or one of his four sons behind bars. Now, besides the BAU family, she has to protect the mother and daughter as well. She knows the danger they are in, especially Lilibet as she is an easy and fragile target, who could easily become the organization's ultimate goal of revenge. She was called Little Prentiss, just confirming that whoever goes after this sick plan knows about the maternal connection to Emily, knows about the marriage, and most importantly, knows that Lilibet Eloise Y/L/N (Prentiss) is the daughter of the two main agents responsible for the Galanis' downfall.
- Hey, we have a visitor... - Tara whispers practically running towards Emily as she passes through the glass doors of the floor, a bit distracted in her own thoughts.
- What?
- Behind me. Near the snack machine. - she points with her head to a woman in the same spot she indicated, the only person there -- Friend of Y/N and must be important to be here 3am behind her.
When looking closely at the place Emily comes across a tall woman, maybe almost or as tall as Tara, she is slim, her body is highlighted by a tailored feminine suit, she wears black Manolo Blahniks high heels, fine authentic jewelry, light makeup, her blonde hair is perfectly cut at shoulder height, her glasses perched on the tip on her thin nose as she searches for something on the machine reveals her light blue eyes, deep and penetrating. When she notices the chief's presence and directs her gaze at Emily, it is intense and inquisitive, as if she is reading her mind. Her expression is half amused, half serious, and she has an aura of authority that cannot be denied. This woman has an air of professionalism and elegance, standing out among the other people who despite wearing similar clothes seem just background in her presence. As she walks towards the women, the brunette can't not notice the beautiful pair of long, shapely legs fitted tightly into the chic skirt.
- Agent Prentiss, right? - she asks gently, holding out her free hand to the brunette, a small smile on lips.
- Chief, actually. - Emily shakes the woman's hand, feeling the firmness and confidence she conveys in just one touch. The handshake was brief but intense, as if both were evaluating and testing each other - And you?
- Dr. Helena Cavendish. - she faces her with a certain superiority, analyzing Emily from head to foot, as if she were weighing every detail of hers and analyzing it, then smiles before continuing - For closer, Lena. Y/N's girlfriend.
Note: Ladies, I present to you how I imagine the OC, for me Helena would have the same look and vibe as Alex Cabot from SVU
