canon divergences are going to be the death of me. i need to write down an official timeline for khismat’s bad end canon, but i keep getting stuck on what happens post-joko in LWS4
like, okay. tl;dr is that this is a trahearne lives AU too, but he lives because mordremoth takes him as a champion before dying and he fucks off even deeper into the jungle before he can be forced to bring harm to the pact. khismat spends half of season 3 trying to find him and understand what happened to him, so she’s not able to help the seraph and shining blade with the krytan civil war, so that becomes a lengthy and drawn-out conflict lasting into path of fire and season 4, if not longer.
during the departing, one of the strongest memories she follows through the domain of the lost is a very tired trahearne telling her he’s become something terrible, that mordremoth called him his champion, and it gives her an idea. she completely ignores joko, has zero interest in listening to his whining, and when she revives, she finds kralkatorrik. lays down her weapons, says she’s trying to fix the damage she caused, offers herself to him as champion. the two slaughter balthazar.
and like! the locals are shit terrified! the pact isn’t happy (RIP almorra i am so sorry ma’am) and while khismat claims she has everything under control, they make it very clear they will dismiss her (violently if need be) if her or her dragon escalate any conflict or local destruction. bangar is almost definitely back in the blood citadel speedrunning the early parts of the icebrood saga, with more support (especially if the white mantle pose any serious longterm threat, the longer kryta fights with itself, and especially since the pact seems to be siding with kralkatorrik, the enemy of the charr).
joko is slighted by khismat, although not as personally as in standard canon, and still declares war on central tyria, likely attacking lion’s arch while humans and charr are preoccupied. despite the pact’s reluctance and distrust, this is her fault and therefore her fight, and khismat retaliates. shit’s messy. made worse by champion void corruption and the fact that she now has kralkatorrik’s warring magics and conflicted emotions also pounding through her own head.
but then i’m just. what happens during and after long live the lich. where does the escalation go. why did i do this to myself—

khismat has a very specific playlist vibe because she's an alternate-timeline commander where things go wrong, but. i really like it.

been thinking about what my commander looks like before and after being corrupted by kralkatorrik. she’s cute and it’s kind of a shame that LWS2-POF did a number on her emotionally
also becoming a dragon champion gave her horns and a tail because i said so

the state of my commander stuff is disastrous. i normally just play through story on siya in a party with saint’s commander but on my side we’ve got:
— failwoman who continues messing up the plot so badly that her universe is collapsing in on itself. goes wildly divergent back in LWS3 so now every expansion we move farther away from any canon plot resemblance
— guy who theoretically COULD’VE been the commander at some point in some alternate timeline and could probably run through canon better than khismat but like, the entire point is that he fundamentally Isn’t The Hero. so i don’t want to do real commander stuff on him
— the quaggan. actually good at the job. does everything the way they’re supposed to. can’t really play through most of the story on them because they’re a quaggan.
