One thing of the things I don't like about Kaimana is just how much they would get along with Gortash. Like- they're both insanely smart people who manipulate others into getting what they want, and Kaimana would realistically ally with Gortash because he's more sensible than Orin.

But then again, Kaimana is a Midwinter Child(Basically a child of Auril), and Gortash is Bane's Chosen, so their Gods would probably want them to be at each other's throats

ok so i know it says she's a striped pyjama "squid" mer but striped pyjama "squid" are actually cuttlefish!

some other things that kaimana loves are patterns and shopping! she LOOOVES stripes and leopard prints and polkadots- you name it!!

she doesnt like shrimp bc she ate so much of it as a kid that she got sick of it LOL

kaimana went to school with the octotrio, though she was a year above them!

speaking of the octrotrio, kaimana is almost a DIRECT OPPOSITE TO AZUL. she's very confident in herself and her capabilities, and she's actually close friends with prince rielle! they text regularly since they're at different schools.

when they were children, kaimana did defend azul from bullies once while she was on her way home. this is the only time they've ever interacted.

kaimana's very extroverted; she has a ton of friends and is sort of known as the campus "social butterfly." she's like what cater is pretending to be, but she's fully genuine through it all. kaimana loves to express herself, as seen with her HIGHLY customized uniform HAHA (btw. ik her skirt is rlly short. its intentional!! she rolls it up rlly high cus she thinks its cute!!)

all that being said, kaimana is FRIGHTENINGLY intelligent. she has photographic memory and can remember things from years ago with extreme detail. many who first see her assume that she isn't capable, but looking at the academic charts, kaimana is constantly topping them. she's very forgiving, but she doesn't ever forget.(she holds grudges can u tell)

on top of that, her eyesight is VERY good.

kaimana became friends with my other oc, morwenna veil, shortly after morwenna came to NRC. she calls her 'mormor' and morwenna HAAATES IT

kaimana, as a cuttlefish, can actually shift her haircolor and skin to show different colors and patterns!

so, kaimana's unique magic is called "Towards the Light." kaimana will flash different patterns back and forth, quickly hypnotizing the recipient. the recipient will then feel a strong pull towards kaimana, and they will begin rapidly walking to her. kaimana has perfected this spell to the point that she can hold someone under her control for days on end.

Kaimana accepts gifts of well-treated bones , salt water , sea glass , taxidermy , & surviving another day .

In life , Kaimana was an asian man , living in [during] 1993 - 2026 as a fisherman & chef . They’d always found the beauty in death & held high regard on respecting the dead . In death he is around 600 years old and is the youngest god before The Misery .

Glows in the dark .

Kaimana doesn’t mind Melo , but is generally neutral toward her . They are the quietest god & can be seen as eery & cold , though he means no harm .

Pillars depend on how many souls a god watches over [and their strength]. Every soul is guided to their regime , one way or another . The travelors either take the soul & guide them to the home best for them , or they will be trapped in the Ashen Sea (like Misery) until a god finds them there .

Pillar 1 - Contains gods with the most souls & highest power .

Pillar 2 - Contains the most souls regardless of power .

Pillar 3 - Contains a lower soul count but higher power [can be above or below Pillar 1].

Pillar 4 - Contains a lower soul count regardless of power .

Pillar 5 - Lowest pillar - New gods regardless of power .

Power - The strength of a soul . Souls with a higher power are more likely to reform as gods .

Reform - The evolvement of a soul from [__] to [a] god .

Regime - The space a god controls / watches over . These are pockets [of space] in the realm of souls that souls either live in or go to . For example , the lines of floating islands based on where you lived in life (Misery’s home in death) , & the marketplace (Arier’s second regime , accessible to all .)

Ashen Sea - A sea of sludge that souls can find themselves trapped in when not following a guide . It’s dark , disorientating , & it makes it hard for souls to “come to” & recreate their form .
