Captain of Dutchman

I will remember that day forever, everyone fighting eachother, my dad was fighting with William Turner when Jack yelled to get my father's attention. He turned to face Jack and saw him with knife and his heart. Father's face was now showing scared face. He knew he will die so he put his sword into William Turner's heart. Bill Turner attacked my father, but while they were fighting each other dad haven't see Jack and Elizabeth making Will to stab my father's heart.

"FATHER THEY HAVE YOUR HEART!!" I yelled and started running towards my father.

Suddenly my father looked at me with tears in his eyes and I saw William who stabbed his heart and died.

"NOO!! FATHER!!!"

I ran to him but all I could hear before he fall from ship was him saying Calypso's name. I fell on my knees and saw Jack and Elizabeth who went back to there ship. Dutchman's crew started walking towards William.

"HE WON'T BE A CAPTAIN!! TAKE MY HEART!! DUTCHMAN MUST HAVE A CAPTAIN!!" I yelled.

Macus looked at me with sad face.

"You are 14 Koko, you can't be a captain" he said.

"I WON'T HAVE HIM AS CAPTAIN!!"

Macus looked towards William and I saw them putting his heart in chest.

"You betrayed my father...." I whispered to Macus with tears.

"The Dutchman must have a captain, Koko"

Ship started going up again and i just left the ship.

"William Turner you will be cursed for the rest of your life, I can promise you that".

"Captain Barbossa!!! I NEED TO HAVE A WORD WITH YOU!! IM CARINA'S FRIEND AND IT WOULD BE LOVELY IF YOU COULD TALK TO ME BECAUSE YOUR DAUGHTER WILL DO SOMETHING STUPID AND I NEED YOUR HELP!!" I yelled trying to find Captain.

"Let's talk than missy!! Tell me does Sparrow have to do something with this?" A voice came from helm.

I looked up and saw him standing there. I walked to him so we can speak without shouting.

"unfortunately my captain, Jack has something to do with Carina. Carina is on her adventure with William's and Elizabeth's son Henry and they are on there way to find Poseidon's trident. Spanish captain wants to kill Jack and Carina is near Jack which means death. Carina is on this adventure because she thinks her father left her a book to unravel the mystery of where she came from, and discover who she was truly meant to be. I know you think that it's better for her to doesn't know about you but this adventure will take her life if you don't help me captain".

"Salazar....." old captain said.

"Yeah well I need you to help me save your daughter because she will kill herself and she is my only family I have left!!"

"Do you know the name of Jack's ship? Where did you see Carina last??"

"I don't know Jack's ship but I know how to get us to him" I said and took Jack's compass from my coat.

"As for Carina is was chased by soldiers, she was called a witch"

I opened a compass so we can get direction. It gave east

"It looks like we have a direction captain"

Barbossa looked at compass and saw east.

"GET YOUR DIRTY ASSES TO WORK YOU STUPID SEA DOGS!! WE HAVE A DIRECTION GO EAST!!!" Barbossa yelled.

"What would be your name missy??"

"Koko, Koko Jones captain" I said.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Wrath of the Kraken

My 1st Pirates fic! And before you ask: No. I didn't abandon Ghostbusters: Soul Resurgence. My hyperfixation wheel decided to spin and somehow landed on Pirates of the Caribbean (I blame Geoffrey Rush).

Anyway, this fic (and possibly others, we'll see how this goes) will be a continuation of the PotC franchise (not a reboot like Disney so stupidly decided on) and will feature new and returning characters as well as take inspiration from previous films and the mobile game Tides of War.

And just like Ghostbusters: Soul Resurgence, a bit thank you to @phantomoftheparadise0002 for beta-reading this!

Summary: When Jack recruits Smith to help him find the lost relics of Cortez, their mission doesn't go as planned when they run into terrors and joys from their past, ultimately witnessing the resurrection of the Dutchman...and her beloved Captain.

Jack smiled as his face became illuminated by the moon, its light shining through the parting clouds.

"Mr. Gibbs!" He shouted from the helm.

"Cap'n?" Gibbs responded, turning to Jack.

"Prepare the Pearl for docking!"

"But Cap'n, where be the dock?"

"Look through the mist, Mr. Gibbs." Jack smiled.

As if by magic, the mist faded, revealing the fortress that had been built into the side of a mountain.

"El Silencio en el mar Caspio." Jack all but sighed, as if he was returning home. "The Silence in the Caspian Sea."

As the ship got closer to the dock, Jack hopped down to the main deck, Cotton having taken the wheel.

"ALRIGHT STEADY! STEADY!" Jack shrieked as the ship aligned itself.

A terrified look covered his face as a loud snap echoed from the front of the ship.

Turning back to Cotton he shouted, "No matter! Everything's fine!" Pulling Gibbs to him he whispered, "Let's just hope she'll go easy on him otherwise we'll need a new helmsman."

Gibbs turned to him in shock. Before he could ask who they were here to see, Jack had hopped off the ship and started down what was left of the dock.

"Oi!" One of the guards shouted, blocking Jack's way. "What do you think you're doin'?"

Jumping back slightly, Jack looked at him in confusion. "Have we met before?" He questioned bluntly.

Before the guard could answer, Jack snapped his fingers, delight painting his face.

"I've got it!" He slurred. "You're one of those guards from Port Royal!" Leaning in close he asked, "Have you learned to swim yet?"

He jumped as the guard let out an angered huff.

"Let's just forget that last bit, shall we?" His eyes widened slightly, seeing that the guards expression hadn't changed. "How 'bout this: I'll go wait in that tavern over there, have a few drinks, while you go get your Captain for me."

Before the guard could answer, Jack pushed past him towards the tavern.

"Pirate, nay. Privateer."

"I'm disinclined to acquiesce your request. Means no."

"Aye. But that's a gamble of long odds, ain't it?"

"There's no guarantee of comin' back. Passin' on, that's dead certain."

"Too long me fate has not been in me own hands. No longer."

"Do ya mean grass? On a farm? Milkin’ a cow? Makin’ cheese? While they sink me treasure?! I'm a Pirate. Always will be."

"You know the first thing I'm gonna do after the curse is lifted...eat a whole bushel of apples."

“For too long I've been parched of thirst and unable to quench it. Too long I've been starving to death and haven't died. I feel nothing. Not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea. Nor the warmth of a woman's flesh.”

“You best start believing in ghost stories Ms. Turner. You’re in one!”

"I'm the master of me ship. Not Blackbeard. I'm the master of me fate. Not Blackbeard. So I did what needed done. I survived."

"Nay, belay that! Let ‘er run straight and true!"

"Brace up yards, ya cack-handed deck apes! Dyin' is the day worth livin' for!"

"I feel...cold."

Smith awoke in a cold sweat to someone banging on her door. Standing up, she went to open it.

"What do you want, Mullroy?" She growled, glaring daggers at the guard who'd been banging on her door.

"Pardon me for awakin' you, Captain, especially at this hour, but," the look on her face told him to get to the point, "there's a man, in the tavern. He requested that I bring you to him."

Grumbling, Smith slammed the door, only to reamerge moments later fully dressed, motioning to Mullroy to take her to him.

As Jack downed his 4th mug of rum, the door to the tavern opened.

"Jack Sparrow." Smith smirked.

"Smith! It's been too long!" Steadying himself as he stood. "Hasn't it?"

"Aye." Her smile was strained. "9 years."

Heading to the table and pulling up a chair, Smith leaned close to Jack.

"What the hell are you doing here, Jack?"

Leaning forward, Jack slurred, "I've heard stories. Of a great treasure that lies at the bottom of the Atlantic. It's said to be one of the relics of Cortez himself."

Sensing she wasn't paying attention, he poked her in the forehead.

"'re you alright?" He asked.

"I've been having these...dreams." She sighed. "Every night for the past 9 years. Every single one about Hector. It's like he's calling to me."

"Tis not Barbossa who calls to you."

Swiftly turning in the direction of the voice, Jack aimed his pistol while Smith readied her sword.

Jack's eyes widened.

"Calypso." Smith's eyes narrowed.

"In de flesh." The Sea Goddess smiled, black teeth shining in the dim light of the rising Sun.

"What do you want?" Smith held her sword more firmly.

"Not'ing more dan to give you a gift."

"A gift?" Jack questioned. "Did you bring me a gift too?"

Calypso shot him an incredulous look, causing his smile to fall.

"Tis more of a...repayment, den a gift."

Smith's eyebrows furrowed. "A repayment? For what?"

Stepping closer, Calypso smiled. "In time, you and Jack will venture to dah sea. Dehn you will fallow Deh Map No Man Can Read. Dehr you will find your repayment."

"Repayment for what?" Smith repeated.

"You'll see."

As quick as she'd arrived, Calypso vanished.

"The Map No Man Can Read." Smith repeated, turning to Jack. "You don't think-"

"Think what?"

Before he could get an answer, Smith fled the tavern.

Placing her hands upon the wheel of the Queen Anne's Revenge, Smith let out a shaky breath. For the first time in 9 years, she stood at the helm of her ship. Her. Ship. Those words felt wrong. No. This was Hector's ship. He had been the one to take it from Blackbeard. He had been the one to make the Revenge what it was today.

Taking a deep breath, she pulled her sword from its sheath and thrust it into the air, the tip of it gleaning in the newly risen Sun. As she did so, the wine colored Sails were released from their bonds, the early morning air filling them. Thrusting the sword towards the bow of the ship, she watched as her crew tumbled down the deck at the sudden burst of acceleration.

Returning the sword to its sheath, she addressed her crew. "All hands! Ply to windward! Get crackin' ye bloomin' cockroaches!" She let out a laugh as her crew joined. "The Crown served me well! But now, by the Gods of sea and sky, make way for Tortuga!" Her crew cheered as the ship continued on.

Smiling as he heard the cheers of Smith's crew, Jack whispered to himself, "That's my girl."

Thanks for the ask! I'm going to answer these questions for different f/os depending on who comes to my mind first :)

🦅: How good are their friends at being wingmen? Do they even help at all or just sit back watching the pining with a bag of popcorn?

Going to answer this for Davy! I could probably come up with scenarios for the others as well but I also don't want to let you wait too long with answering the questions😅 The first person that starts to notice that something is going on between Davy and Selena is Davy's trusted first mate Maccus. Although he and Selena initially don't like each other very much, he notices that her presence seems to be good for Davy. He's probably the closest to what could be considered a friend of Davy, and he isn't opposed to the thought of having a more hopeful outlook on the future, given that his captain has been wallowing in grief for decades and dragging the crew along with him. He'd probably try to set Selena and Davy up so they "coincidentally" run into each other more often than they would otherwise, ideally in situations where no one else is around and they can talk in peace. Over time, he would luckily also start to warm up to Selena herself and they would become friends. He's the first to find out about it once they actually are a couple. Davy would want to keep things private for a while, until he's convinced that Selena truly loves him and he's not just dreaming. Some of the other crew members might already have had suspicions by that time. Their surprise varies, but they end up being relatively content with it, as Davy being more happy means that he'd also be less cruel towards them, and would make their existence as cursed crew members more bearable.

🧸: Would they want to have kids together? If so what are their kid(s) like? How are they as parents?

Ohh I'm so happy I got this question, I love rambling about my fankids! I'm actually going to answer this for all of my main f/os <3

Starting with Selina and Heinz, they definitely want to have kids! It's an important part to their life and relationship. Their firstborn is a daughter named Elena. She's similar to both of her parents, but takes a little more after her father, she has his passion for science and inventing, but can also be a bit chaotic or impulsive. I'm not fully decided on how many kids they're going to have, I'm kind of going back between two, three and four😅 I want them to have many children but I also want the kids to have personalities and not be completely bland. At the moment I'm settled with three; their second child is a son named Oscar (I'm not 100% sure about the name yet though). Most of the time he's a more calm and rather easy-going child (at least when he's little; I mostly imagine their family at a time when the kids are still rather young, but it would be fun to explore how they're going to be like when growing into teenagers and young adults). He loves animals and playing with his sister, even though like all siblings they bicker and fight at times. Their youngest is daughter whom they name Catherine (not fully decided on that name either, I just feel like it should be something with C). She's taking a lot after her mother and is a very shy and dreamy kid. She has a strong interest in music; she always loves listening to her mother playing the piano (it's one of Selina's hobbies, she's not a professional though, just self-taught), and once she's old enough, she tries playing by herself and shows to be surprisingly good at it even at a young age already. Somehow I like to think that maybe she was a surprise baby😅 Selina and Heinz didn't intentionally plan to have another child when they found out that Selina was pregnant again, however they didn't mind in the slightest and were in fact very happy to welcome another kid into their family. They love all their kids very much and would do about everything for them. Heinz has already shown to be a very sweet and loving father with his daughter Vanessa (from his previous marriage), and he's just the same with his other kids. Vanessa herself is probably a young adult by the time Selina and Heinz are a couple, so she isn't around all the time, but she also loves her younger half-siblings and enjoys visiting them, and they in turn look up to her. All in all their loving and worry-free family life is a big mental safe space for me and even though they're not real, I love my made-up kids very much💕

For Selena and Hector, it might take a bit of convincing from her side. Hector isn't opposed to the thought of having kids, but being a pirate, his life is often dangerous and uncertain, and he wouldn't want to leave her behind alone with little children to take care of in case something happened to him. Also he would be worried about making life harder for them if they're being associated with a pirate as their father. They probably end up with one or two children of their own, depending on the timeline they may also search for Carina to reunite her with her father and give her a proper family, raising her along with her younger half-siblings. I haven't developed their relationship as much yet so I'm not quite sure about the names and personalities of their children. I feel like they're probably going to have a girl and a boy. Hector would teach his children many things he knows, from navigating and sailing a ship to handling a sword or flintlock. He'd probably be rather protective of them, but would also want them to be able to defend themselves. He tends to show it more in private, since he wants to avoid making them a target for his enemies, but he loves his family very much.

Lastly, for Selena and Davy, their first child is definitely a surprise. Due to the curse, neither her nor Davy himself were sure if he was still able to father any children until the time they actually found out she was pregnant. It was probably for the better, since Davy would be very worried. Would the curse affect his child - or his pregnant wife - negatively? (On a side note, I'm not sure if Selena is under the curse as well at that time, she originally joined the Dutchman's crew, but Davy would most likely relieve her from her debt later on out of love. I should probably make an extra post sometime talking about how the curse could effect their relationship and family life.) Would the child even be able to love him or just see him as a monster? His worries only start to fade once their little daughter (for whom I don't have a name yet at this point) is born and doesn't show any signs of discomfort around him, just love and affection. He starts becoming more at ease with holding and taking care of her. He's probably going to have his beard tentacles pulled a lot during the times she's a baby and toddler, but he could never be mad at her. It would make his heart melt when he realises that she doesn't merely tolerate him, but actually looks up to him as her father and loves him just as he is. He'd probably tear up when she drapes her braids over her mouth to imitate his beard tentacles, and proudly declares that she looks just like her father now (I've had this scene in my head for a while now and it's just the cutest I need to draw it at some point🥺). At this point, Selena might also be able to eventually convince him to give their daughter a little sibling as well.

🐱: Do they have pet names for each other, if so what are they? How does their partner feel about their pet name?

Going to give a quick answer for all of my mains for this one here! I want to mention though that I have actually no idea how I'd feel about pet names in real life, or if I'd use any for my partner if I had one. It might also be a language thing, I think in English I'm much quicker to use pet names than in German (maybe also because they're a good name replacement in x reader stories). Idk if I somehow find them too corny in German or maybe just don't really know which words I'd use for them since I usually write and even think about my f/os in English.

Heinz and Selina would probably use words like "darling", "(my) dear" or "love" for each other. Heinz would probably use a greater variety of words, also throwing in things like "sweetheart", "honey" or others, while Selina tends to stick to her favourite endearments most of the time. Hector would call Selena things like for example "m' lady" or "m' dear". Before they became a couple he'd also refer to her as "lass" or "lassie", when he was flirting with her he'd sometimes put a "my" beforehand. Selena would call him things like "my dear", "my love" or also "my captain" (the latter one probably particularly if she were either to tease him a little, or she wanted to be a bit seductive in a more intimate situation). Davy's most used endearment would probably be "my love", but he'd also use others, like "my dear", "my darling" or "my beloved". Selena would use mostly the same ones for him. One thing that he loves in particular though, is when she calls him "my Davy". The thought that she loves him so much to call him hers, and hers only, makes his heart melt. In turn, he'd also refer to her as "my Selena".

Julian, Basil and Thursday!! Malia's also been kickin' around my head for a while (she's my purple haired witch girl who is friends with bee people.) And Aleda, Byron, Hector and Jazmin, I guess? (But I'm not explaining them, you've read the death or glory first draft.)

These are the references for what Malia and Julian (who was apparently originally named Tanye and/or Darren?) I don't think I drew Julian again after this? And, all I can remember is that he was a vampire wizard hybrid that liked fire?

This is my most recent drawing of Malia!! She is probably going to drop those bottles soon. She's part of the MJAHFC (Malia Jones and her Friend's Clones) Universe. But, uh, that's obviously a working title. (The clones are the aforementioned bee people.)

I don't have references for either Thursday or Basil (although I am working on B's) so here's all the information I have written down instead:

Basil Wizard (who is part of the 'into the woods universe'):

Runs an apothecary in the outskirts of the woods (it moves around, and is connected to his magic directly.)

Changed his name at 12.

Owns a small cat-dragon called Balthazar. Bal' is black and purple, and prone to knocking over things.

His backstory is this post. (The first post, specifically. Except his was more of a seventh son kind of thing.)

Runs a plant Instagram page.

Dating Rhys (a werewolf.)

Has magic that is connected to the earth. His eyes turn a dark purple when practicing, and gets headaches when exerting a lot of energy through magic.

May have summoned the aforementioned forest...? Whose to say?

Has to wear a fake mustache + beard for business meetings/video calls, as the general wizard community isn't always the most friendly/accepting (since magic is a traditionally masc. thing.)

And all I have for Thursday (who is possibly a sorcerer's apprentice 2010 OC? I haven't fully decided yet.) is that they're a chaos magician who is pretty decent at fire magic.

(..and then there's Damien? But xe's still only a vague idea in my head. All I have for xem is that they're a shape shifter. They like being a goose.)

General information:

This is an RP blog dedicated to my original character Selena Finley. She is my main Pirates of the Caribbean OC, though I may also use variations of her in other universes.

My main blog is @lieutenantselnia, you can find some more information about me there. The same "do not interact" rules apply so I won't be repeating them here, but to put it simply if you're a hateful or gross person please stay away.

RP-wise, I'll be sticking to PotC only for now.

At the moment I'm mainly interested in RP storylines with Hector Barbossa (romantic) and Davy Jones (romantic) - in separate universes/timelines.

If we're friends/have known each other for a while, I could also imagine writing an OCxOC storyline with our characters forming a relationship (romantic/platonic/familial depending on what fits them).

Occasional interactions with other characters of any type (canon, OC, self-insert) are allowed and welcome, but I won't longer storylines, at least for the time being.

I'm still unsure how I feel about nsfw in RP. For now I'll set the rule that I'll only write it with mutuals/people I've known for a while (through RP and/or generally), and overall keep it light. [Of course any nsfw RP will only happen with people who are also over 18! Otherwise I don't really mind age, however most of my friends and people I interact with on here are young adults like myself.]

I have a busy life balancing work and studying, plus this is blog is not my main priority, so I may not be a particularly fast writer. I'm doing this for fun and not as a chore.

I'm very new to RP in general, so I'm not that familiar with some common terms yet and am also still learning and experimenting with how to do it. Please bear with me^^

Pirates of the Caribbean: Wrath of the Kraken

Chapter 3! This is where my knowledge of Tides of War comes in handy to fix that plothole from Dead Men Tell No Tales' end credit. Also, I get to bring back one of my favorite characters (aka the fictional love of my life). This story has been really fun so far and I hope you guys have enjoyed! Summary: When Jack recruits Smith to help him find the lost relics of Cortez, their mission doesn't go as planned when they run into terrors and joys from their past, ultimately witnessing the resurrection of the Dutchman...and her beloved Captain.

TW: Some language, pirate violence

Arriving in Tortuga mere hours later, Smith told her crew to go ahead while she stayed behind.

When she was sure her crew was out of earshot she screamed "CALYPSO!" to the heavens, rage evident in her voice.

"I told you not to speak him name."

Swiftly turning to face her, Smith growled, "What the hell did you do?"

"I do not'ing."

"Then how the hell is he back?!"

Hearing footsteps behind her, Calypso turned to see Jack standing behind her, the anger in his eyes matching Smith's.

"Jack." The Goddess greeted sweetly.

Jack said nothing, merely sneering at her.

Looking between them nervously, Calypso sighed. "Deh Davy Jones you saw in deh maelstrom was not deh Davy Jones dat fought wit deh East India Trading Company."

Smith and Jack's brows furrowed.

"It was him Shade."

"Shade?" Jack asked.

"A version of a person from another's memories." Smith answered. Looking at Calypso, she added, "But they're just myths. Stories that parents tell to their children. How the hell would one come into the real world?"

"Dehr are many stories, all of which are true." Calypso answered. "After you destroy deh Trident of Poseidon, Will Turner call to me, tell me to destroy deh Dutchman once he return to him family."

"How does that cause someone's Shade to appear?" Jack asked.

"The Dutchman." Smith breathed. Looking to Jack, she added, "Most Shades are bound to an object. My mother told me the story of a solider who had won many battles with a sword made of pure gold. When he died, his comrads attempted to melt the sword into a medal to give to his wife. As the blacksmith put it in the furnace, he was killed. It's said that as he died, the only thing he uttered was the dead soldier's name. Later, the comrads who gave the sword to the blacksmith told the Governor that the person who killed the blacksmith was their friend, using the sword of gold."

Jack shivered.

"When you attempted to destroy the Dutchman 9 years ago, that must've been what brought Jones back."

Calypso nodded.

"So how do we get rid of him this time?" Jack asked.

Smith shrugged. "My mother never told me that part of the story."

Shouting arose from the city as a group was being pushed towards the dock, Scrum and Mullroy at the front.

"Guess that's our sign to leave." Smith sighed, shaking her head.

"Captain!" Scrum called from the Crow's Nest.

"Aye?"

"We're aproachin' the island!" He smiled.

Looking out towards the bow, Smith smiled at the faint twinkles of the rubies in the light of the rising sun.

Jack smiled as he looked over at Smith as she stood at the helm of the Revenge, her posture straighter, an air of hope surrounding her as the island became closer.

"Where is he?" Smith asked, pacing the island for what felt like the 100th time. "She said he'd be here."

"I believe the word she used was repayment." Jack corrected.

"Oh, don't try that with me!" She shot back. "If it wasn't Hector we're here for then why would she send us here?"

As she turned to look out at the sea, something appeared in her mind's eye. A great chasm stretched across the sea, the Pearl on one side and the Silent Mary on the other, the Pearl's anchor dangling into the divide.

"Captain Sparrow, my effects." She said, taking off her coat and shoving it into his hands along with her pistol, sword, and hat.

Before he could question why, she dove into the sea.

"I'll never understand her." He said offhandedly to Scrum, causing Gibbs to give him a confused look.

Smith felt as if her lungs were on fire as she pushed herself to swim as deep as she could, the images of Hector being swallowed by the sea not deterring her.

Scrum watched as Jack started to shift his weight constantly from foot to foot.

"You alrigh', Cap'n?" He questioned, narrowing his eyes.

Throwing Smith's things to the ground, he began to take off his own effects, adding them to the pile at his feet.

"She's been down there too long." He said simply.

Just as he was about to jump in, Smith burst through the surface of the water, gasping for air, Hector's limp body in her arms.

"DUTCHMAN!" Someone from the Pearl screamed as the bright flash of cannon fire erupted from the other side of the ship.

As the mast of the Pearl fell, Jack, Scrum, and Gibbs jumped into the sea, Gibbs and Scrum taking Hector's weight while Jack grabbed Smith.

Standing on the deck of the Revenge, the crew watched in horror as the Pearl sank to the depths.

"Wouldn't be an adventure without loosing the Pearl, eh?" Jack joked sadly, attempting to distract himself from the lose of his beloved ship as he left the crowd.

Looking to Scrum and Gibbs, Smith instructed them to place Hector on the bed in the Captain’s cabin while she followed Jack.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, she gave it a small squeeze.

"She was a fine ship." Smith offered, to which Jack nodded.

"Aye." He sighed.

"We'll get her back." Smith promised. "We've done it before."

Jack looked at her, a deep sadness in his eyes as he nodded.

Wrapping her arms around him, Smith held Jack close as they mourned the Pearl.

"Captain!" Came Scrum's voice.

Smith removed herself from Jack's hold.

"He's awake."

ancient oath paladin elf hector jones from last night's dnd sesh

I had a very, very random dream the other night that Barbossa was my father, which was weird but kind of fun, since I got to be a pirate. So, I wanted to make an OC based off of that. Originally she was a ginger, but I needed there to be a reason she was isekai’d into the Pirates universe, which led me down a rabbit hole. I figured Calypso was powerful enough, but why would she? This OC needed to be connected to her somehow, to give her a reason. I decided to make her Calypso and Davey Jones’ daughter.

Calypso in Greek legend had a son named Nausinous. I scrambled the letters of that and came up with Oasis Nuun (Nuun meaning Salt in Sanskrit, which I thought was fitting). Oasis was born just after Calypso was bound to mortal form. Calypso knew that, due to what happened with Jones, a human baby needed more commitment than she was willing to give, so she sent Oasis as “far as possible,” which in this case sent her to modern times. She sent with her a locket with her name, but the letters broke off when she landed, and the orphanage tried to repair the locket and got her name as it is now. More info under the cut.

When Oasis grew up, she found a compass on the beach that Calypso had sent. This was to bring her back to Calypso’s side, now that she was “old enough to understand.” The locket Oasis had pressed into the compass and turned it on, and sent her to a little before the beginning of the first movie. Jack saw her compass, which had a black pearl in it, and because of how his own compass worked, decided this one must get him to his ship. He snatched Oasis up and since she has no idea where to go in this alternate time period, she agrees to work with him, figuring that a ship called the Black Pearl might give her some answers in regards to her compass.

This leads to a bunch of time alteration. First, the compass goes back and forth between Jack and the Black Pearl, since Jack is the rightful captain. Every time, Barbossa tries to interrogate her and she has no answers to give him, and he eventually puts her to work on the ship. After a while, this leads to her both bonding with Barbossa and Jack as they teach her to pirate. During the first movie, she tries to figure out what both parties want. Barbossa wants to be human again, and Jack wants his ship back. Through shenanigans and risky negotiation, she gets Jack to trade his new ship to Barbossa and his crew, and Jack’s new crew takes the Black Pearl, and they return all the gold to turn Barbossa human.

Both parties part with reluctance, and between movies, Barbossa, Raggeti and Pintel get kicked off the new ship because they were too soft on Oasis. They find Jack’s crew and Oasis talks Jack into letting them on board, although everyone keeps an eye on them. So, they’re part of the Black Pearl crew when the second movie happens.

Because things ended more-or-less amicably, Jack isn’t captured by the Swanns and Elizabeth and Will are not arrested for releasing him. However, Beckett does pressure Will and Elizabeth for assistance after the wedding. Will and Elizabeth “agree” but actually go to warn Jack about the pursuit. Meanwhile, Jack explains to Oasis about the Mark and she’s horrified. At this point, she has a one-sided romance with him. His heart is still for the Pearl, and she knows that, but is still falling for him. The cannibal island thing still happens, but Barbossa breaks the crew out of the cage thingies to get them to Jack.

When they get to Tia Dalma, she reveals to Oasis that she had a child named Nausinous. She shows the letters in a page, then uses her magic to rearrange the letters to Oasis Nuun. Oasis is shocked, then enraged at being abandoned. Calypso is disappointed, having hoped at least one loved one would bond with her, and Oasis at least agrees that the foster system was better than being with a mother who didn’t love her. Calypso sends the crew after Davey Jones and Oasis resolves to try and bond with him instead. Barbossa is wary of this, having already become somewhat of a father figure to her.

With Will and Elizabeth only out to help Jack, the thing where Jack tricks Will into getting captured doesn’t happen. Instead, when Jack is being captured, Oasis begs for his life, saying that she “loves him, in spite of him being a scoundrel as untamable as the sea.” This strikes a chord with Jones, and he takes Oasis with him so that she can be with Jack. While Jack plays Liar’s Dice, she tries to get the key and ends up being caught by Jones. She tells him she’s his daughter in the hopes to calm him, and he initially is surprised and wistful about what he lost. Then he grabs her and says she’s only a reminder of what a waste love is, and tries to stab her. Jack comes to her rescue, and they escape with the key, making it to Tortuga.

The final battle is much the same, although Will is on Jack’s side fighting Norrington. Oasis has them agree to both free Jack and Will’s father, so they’re on the same side. The Pearl is still attacked, and Jack still wounds the Kraken. Elizabeth still chains him, and Oasis attacks her, but is grabbed by Barbossa, who drags her off the ship as Jack is eaten.

The beginning of the third movie is also much the same, although Will doesn’t agree to give up Jack in secret. They rescue Jack, who gives Oasis a hug and a kiss, making her one-sided romance worse. They see the dead souls, including Elizabeth’s father, who explains about the Dutchman’s Curse. Jack, having been affected by Oasis to be more loyal over time, doesn’t make a deal in secret either, and doesn’t throw Will off the ship. Elizabeth is still named Pirate King. Oasis is able to use her bloodline to keep Bill from killing Norrington.

In the maelstrom battle, Oasis is nearly killed by Jones again, and Calypso moves the storm to bring Jack and Barbossa to her side to rescue her. In the process, his compass flips open and he sees that it points to Oasis now. He confesses his heart is both for her and the Pearl, and calls for Barbossa to wed them mid-battle. (I just really love that wedding scene ok). Barbossa also has a line somewhere here based on Yondu, “Jones may have been your benefactor, lass, but he was never your father, and never will be.” Thus cementing his own place as Oasis’ father. Will still gets wounded, and Jack still helps him stab Jones’ heart. Instead of the STUPID part where Elizabeth gives up piracy and goes to land, she remains Pirate King and spends as much time with Will as she dang wants. Barbossa and Jack and Oasis stay together on the Pearl and have pirate adventures that don’t involve the dumb fourth movie.
