Old Flynn ( pink hair) vs New Flynn ( natural brown hair)

Flynn's lore may need a rewrite bc of the Risa stuff not being over the course of years as I thought BUT. The biggest thing I want to keep was Old Flynn having that Makeover ™ Look. You know the ones. Where the nerd girl gets a makeove and is suddenly more confident than ever? Except with Flynn she's told that it would make her feel more confident, but she feels more uncomfortable and even more shy than anything.

New Flynn is her pretty much going back to what made her comfortable, but also moving forward in her life, taking life by her own hands. This outfit isn't actually what she wears in canon! She actually wears a white button up with some floral designs on the sleeves, a long pink skirt and some blue boots. You can tell she's based on Aevia a bit lol, though overall,pink and purple are her main colors. But yeah! Even this outfit reflects flynn better than before - clothes that are more comfortable to her! Still pink and purple but there's no push to stand out or be confident. She just Is. Her brown hair also makes everything feel more. Cohesive? Less in your face? I dunno. It's nice. Flynn's very pretty :>

[Hauyne limps into her bed, trying to hide her wounds. She didn’t realise Flynn was in the room reading.]

Flynn, looks up, shocked to see the wounds: Oh my goodness! What happened?

Hauyne, startled: Nothing.

Flynn, approaching Hauyne: That doesn’t look like nothing. Let me heal you.

Hauyne, backing away from Flynn: I said it’s nothing. It’s just some scratches. They’ll go away on their own.

[As she said that, Hauyne accidentally disturbed one of her wounds. She grimaced and let out a soft hiss in pain. Blood oozes down her front paw.]

Flynn, frowning: Don’t be stubborn. Those look quite bad. If you don’t let me treat them-

Hauyne, snarling at Flynn: I said it’s fine!

[Flynn jumps back, frightened by the abrupt show of aggression. A flash of guilt and horror passes over Hauyne’s face as she realises what she had done.]

Hauyne, guilty: Flynn, I-

Flynn, shaking from suppressed sobs: For once... just once...

[Flynn suddenly whirls around, wearing an uncharacteristic expression of rage, worry and hurt.]

Flynn, yelling: WHY CAN’T YOU JUST ASK US FOR HELP, JUST THIS ONCE?! ARE WE SO UNRELIABLE? NOT WORTHY OF YOUR TRUST? WE’RE A TEAM, AREN’T WE? SHOULDN’T TEAMMATES RELY ON EACH OTHER?

Hauyne, stunned by the passionate speech: ...

Flynn: So sit down and let me heal you, for Arceus’s sake! You can’t go on like this. Wh-what if... what if you never come back? I-I... I don’t want to lose another friend... Not like this... please...

[Hauyne said nothing. Slowly, hesitantly, she limps over to Flynn.]

Hauyne, looking away: ...Alright.

Flynn, surprised: What?

Hauyne: You said you want to heal me, right? Then do it. But make it quick.

[Flynn smiles in relieved joy.]

Flynn: Thank you, Hauyne. I promise it won’t take long.

[Flynn begins to cast her Heal Pulse over Hauyne.]

Hauyne, thinking to herself: Huh. This... this feels strangely nice. Maybe I’ll just relax for a bit...

[Before long, Hauyne was lulled into a deep slumber, soothed by the comforting aura of Flynn’s Heal Pulse. It took longer than expected, due to the severity of the wounds.]

Flynn: Alright, done!

[No response. Alarmed, Flynn tried to check for a pulse, freezing when she heard a quiet snore from Hauyne.]

Flynn, exhaling a relieved breath: Thank goodness, she’s only asleep...  

[Flynn carried Hauyne over to her bed so she could rest. After heaving her onto the bed, she found herself plagued by a nagging question.]

Flynn, thinking to herself: What Zorua fur would feel like...?

[Curious, Flynn stroked Hauyne’s fur along her back, freezing up in shock when she felt a content purr rumbling beneath her fingers. It took her everything to not squeal from the cuteness overload and wake Hauyne up.]

[Hours later, Arrow and Imani would find Flynn asleep on the side of Hauyne’s bed. Both girls were smiling contentedly in their sleep, with Flynn hugging the Zorua like she were a stuffed animal and the latter snuggling into her embrace.]

A pink butterfly flutters past Tyler who had been working on his next project. As he looks up to see the crystal being fly away his eyes turn to the box now next to him. It looked to be a standard cardboard box decorated in flower stickers wrapped up in a green bow. Upon opening the package up he saw a rather adorable stuffed hedgehog along with some pins, he had been wanting to get more. Along with that there was a box full of chocolate stuffed with tropical flavors like coconut cream and passion-fruit but most surprisingly coffee. As he enjoyed one of the little treats he read the letter with a little smile.

"Hello Tyler. I hope today's treating you well and you've taken a rest for yourself. I just want you to know how much I love you. You might not see it but you have nothing but the best. I love you so much. Please take good care of yourself and I'll call you later."

The actor had just came back to his room having finished rehearsals for a play when he spotted a dancing pink butterfly holding a box for him. It was fairly normal looking, apart from being covered to shiny star stickers and topped with a deep blue bow. Taking the box he tips his hat at the creature as it flies away he sets the package down before looking inside. He felt a smile spread across his face, a tiny bag decorated in constellations and upon opening it he spread the shimmery sky night inspired dice onto his desk. With one in his hand he turned to the box of chocolates. There was semisweet and dark chocolates, each filled with a chocolate mousse along with little bits of hazelnut in each bite. He would enjoy the sweets later as he lies in bed with a letter to read.

"My North star, I miss you dearly. How I long to be in your arms and fly into that sea of stars. My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep. So what do you think of my acting? I'm only half joking, I do love you on this special day. If you see me tomorrow, greet me with a kiss~"

It happened so fast, Gabrielle was simply cleaning her blades and was about to leave for the regularly scheduled D&D session when she noticed a little pink butterfly flying in with a package. It was dressed with red, black and gold ribbons all over and she stared at it until the creature fluttered away. Like it was a bomb about go off. It nothing happened. So very carefully, she opened it up and peeked inside. Immediately she noticed the red with white polka dots fabric and upon pulling it out she realized that...it was a dress. A homemade dress with a belt and even a necklace to complete the look. She stared at it feeling her face grow warmer. Letting out a cough into her hand to hopefully stop her heart from beating any faster. Pulling the dress on her bed she quickly took the letter from the box, ignoring the box of chocolates she went off to her club. But she read the letter while walking increasingly faster.

"To my dear dragon. I hope this letter finds you well, I know you're probably blushing right now but I won't jest. I really hope you like my gifts, you can wear the dress the next time we go out. Preferably somewhere more private. If you want to give the chocolates to Tesa I don't mind at all. But know this, I love you so much. I love you and I can't wait to see you again."

Flynn: ( jumps a little) O-oh! E-Erin! Hey!

Erin: ..... Actually, nevermind-

Flynn: Oh, no, wait wait wait- d-did you need something,I'm sorry-

Erin: Stop apologizing, you- ( sighs) You're still so jumpy around me. If you don't want to be around me, just say it.

Flynn: N-no! That's- that's not what's going on at all!

Erin: Then what? We've known each other since we were kids-

Flynn: A-and that's what makes it so weird!

Erin: .....What.

Flynn: Y-you can't tell me all of this is weird, right? We- we used t-to just exist a-around each other! W-we never really talked o-or anything or really knew each other and-

Flynn: A-and now we're in this new space where we- we a-aren't the same a-as we used to be you know? E-everything has c-changed so quickly...I'm still reeling....

Erin: .....

Erin: ( turns away) So you want to go back to how things were. Is that what you're saying?

Flynn: .....I don't know. Being brave....is so hard. E-even now but- ( she takes a deep breath) I-I want to be a person who can at least try to be! S-so.....so!

Flynn: ( takes a step toward, taking Erin's hand) I want to get to know you, Erin!

Erin: ?!

Flynn: I-I always thought that- that being your friend was just some far off dream.

Erin: ....You really thought that?

Flynn: Y-yeah! Y-you were always so cool....a-and a little scary but....you were still always there. I-I would imagine t-talking to you, b-but never had the courage too.

Erin: ( shrugs) Eh. No offense, but I doubt I'd let you in, back then ( looks down at her hand in Flynn's) ......You really want to know me?

Flynn: ( nods, eyes brimming with determination) Y-yes!

Erin: .....Heh.( takes Flynn's hand, and grips it a little tighter. She smiles a little) The name's Erin. Nice to meet you.

Flynn: ( smiles with confidence that she thought would never exist) My name is Flynn! I hope we get along well!

pkmn interactions are rlly fun. Sometimes u get so far w a team u gotta create their own team dynamic and their own story. Even ships. Beau and Xenon get together mid-story and Bonnie and Clyde also have smth non-platonic going on there. Dynamite and Clementine (Cinccino) are also together. It’s oc ception -JJ

SO REAL!!!!

I so that a LOT with my oc teams. It's harder to do that in fangame teams bc I generally have A Lot of pokemon,and thus don't usually have the energy to give personality and thought into each and every one of them. However I think of all my ocs, I think the Rejuv trio has pokemon with the most defined personalities.

Imani: There's sooooo much i wanna talk about given her main team but hnnnnnng it'll be so long and I'll go insane. So I'm forcing myself to focus on June and Sunflower ( I mean there's gonna be mentions of others but it's mostly through said pokemon's perspective)

June ( Primarina, Male) is the leader of Imani's whole box, with Mira ( Nidoqueen) being his second in command. He's very much like Imani, someone who's bubbly, cheerful and always an optimist! Though upon evolving he became much more of a calming presence, and was really shining as a leader ( not that he wasn't before lol, just that fully evolving made him feel more sure of his ability to lead). Him and Mira have this " older brother, big sister" vibe towards the rest of the group, ESPECIALLY with Sunflower and Autumn ( Leafeon, male). His leadership has gotten the ire of Opal ( Milotic, male), and the two would often go back and forth a lot....though if you were to ask Mira, she would say something shifted in their arguments. They're softer, and tend to enjoy each other's company more. Either they don't realize what's shifting or don't want to realize it. Either way their relationship is getting a bit better day by day so! That's a plus, right?

Sunflower( Chandelure, female) is the youngest of the team! Well. If you want to be technical, she is older than all of them, but mentally and physically she's the youngest and acts like it. Ever since she was caught she had wanted nothing more than to explore everything and anything. Her curiosity tends to get her in trouble. A lot of trouble. And it doesn't help that she doesn't exactly have a filter so she's pretty blunt. But her team loves her so it's fine. As a mentioned before, June and Mira are like older siblings to her ( June miiiiiight tetter in fatherly figure), and she adoooores them. Whenever they're genuinely upset over something she did she gets so upset at herself. She just wanna help! Next to them, though, is Autumn, who is both her partner in crime, and also her biggest victim. I think Autumn is older than her, but only by a bit. Both of them are the youngest of their teams and thus, both tend to stick to each other. If you consider Sunflower pestering Autumn when he's brooding ( " I'm NOT brooding !" ) sticking together. They do care about each other though. Autumn is usually the one that tags along with Sunflower whenever she wanders off - mostly to make sure she doesn't get into any serious trouble. But also bc they do get into shenanigans together and it's fun! Despite his " I'm too cool for this" attitude ( me realizing he's basically a young teen compared to everyone else hgvhvgvgvcg), he's very protective of those he loves, including his little sister Sunflower... something that Sunflower never fails to point out! He always gets embarrassed about it when it's mentioned hvcfsghufhgdvd.

Flynn: Hopefully this will be shorter this time! Like Imani, I'm choosing two, but really these two are kinda Flynn's aces/ signature pokemon.

Sakura ( Meganium, male) was Flynn's first pokemon. Atm, how they met is kinda being rewritten since Flynn as a whole is getting a slight rework. Before, it was a starter pokemon given to her by the Blakeory's ( Flynn's parents had something going on with them - and no they weren't rich, this was very much a dept thing). But recently, upon realizing Flynn wouldn't have been born and raised in GDC ( she would be younger if she did), I think she met her Chikorita as an abandoned pokemon in Oblitus town ( she's from Oblitus Town btw). He would have been her first patient....and they've been attached ever since! Flynn is a very very shy person and Sakura....is not. He's much bolder than she is and isn't afraid to get defensive on her behalf. Even when he evolved, he never was afraid to confront things, and even pushing Flynn to get out of her comfort zone now and again. As for the relationship with his team it's. Nooooot as indepth as Imani's, sadly. I can say that he gets along with June very well, and probably picked fights with Opal on his behalf ( yes, it would be a losing battle both in terms of type weaknesses and Sakura being a more support/ defensive pokemon, but that's not gonna stop him lol). I think Sakura and June have a similar sibling esc relationship that Imani and Flynn has ( J: Oh I don't want to be mean... S: Don't worry, I do. J: Sakura!)Sakura kinda gives me the impression that you either vibe with him or you don't. He doesn't hold it against you if you don't as long as you're civil about it. He's very loyal, and isn't above confrontation as you've seen before. But he isn't foolhardy either.

Horis ( Hydregion, male) is kinda the start of Flynn collecting more pokemon. He's not the second she had, that's her Audino, but he's definitely the third. No he's not related to Dylan. Maybe. We'll see. The two met in the hospital, Horis being a Dieno that wouldn't let anyone near it despite its need for treatment. Flynn, by some miracle, was able to worm her way into his heart and he's been following her around ever since. Once a guarded dragon is now a big ol puppy. Loves Flynn, loves it when she pets him, loves it when she baby talks him, loves making her happy!!! I think that protectiveness has made it hard for him to get along with other pokemon though, especially as Flynn started expanding her team. He may be. A smidge jealous. Just a smidge. But I think he's overall a pleasure to be around. Very excitable, and while it will take a while for him to get used to anyone, he likes playing with others. Sometimes he forgets he's bigger than he used to be though lol. Sakura and him definitely had a bit of a rocky start. Sakura was concerned for Flynn's safety after what he's heard and Horis was privy to anyone who wasn't Flynn. Much to Flynn's pleasure, they gradually got along better as time went on ( specifically bc the girl got wrapped up in Plot and the both of them could agree that Flynn's wellbeing was more important than any distrust they had).

Arrow: .....maybe this will be shorter? Only one bc I'm losing steam aaaaaaaaah-

Firecracker ( Charizard, male) - Arguably the oldest of everyone I mentioned here, same as Arrow. Despite this and the scars that he has, he's genuinely a softy. Likes looking out for others, a great sparring partner and an amazing flying buddy. He's a sweetheart! He's known his team for a loooong time, with only a few recent additions I think. Him, Jester ( Gliscor, female) and Sunny ( Helioptile, male) go waaaaaay back to Arrow's youth, and are three peas in a pod. Not as bashful as Jester but not as outgoing as Sunny. A good balance and thus, is easy to talk too! I think the other younger pokemon look up to him ( something he gets bashful about hgbfgbnjfdfhj).

And that's it! God this was long. It reminded me I should think about my ocs pokemon to pokemon dynamic more. Imani's team is really fruitful in that regard but I feel like the others are lacking so. Yeah! Something to keep in mind.

Arrow could either be a earth and/or fire genasi, ooooor a dragon born/kobold.

Flynn could be a half elf ( Human on her dad's side, elf on her mom's). Or just a full human, that could work too! Tiefling but only bc of her cousins

Speaking of which. Izzy n Teddy are either completely human or Tiefling. Those are the only two races I really see them as.

Hmmm. That's hard bc I don't feel that much about Neved myself? Not saying that he's a bad character or anything, in fact he's really interesting! I love his story with him and Maman, and adore his relationship with the other xen members. I just haven't really clicked with him, ya know? Maybe i'll feel more about him when I get to replaying rejuv again( and even that's a maybe bc of how long it is).

What I can say, however, is that Imani's thoughts on Neved are mostly tied to her relationship with Maman - in which she feels sympathy for the man. Or maybe it's pity. I'm not sure. But I do think in learning more about Maman, she comes to understand Neved just a bit more. It doesn't shake off the fact that 1) he tortured one of her friends/ crush for no reason other than the fact that she was Keta's daughter. Which. Is just vile, in her eyes. And 2) was threatening to harm a whole island + actively aiming to hurt her and her friends. And there's what happened to Nancy. So. Uh. She can feel sorry for the man but I am unsure if she actually likes him or not. I feel like her thoughts on him will evolve whenever I get to replaying rejuv, though. I think it could be complicated, given what her past life was like,and how Imani views parents.

Flynn was just terrified of the man lol. She was there in terajuma and was having the worst month of her life ( spoiler: it gets worse for her!). Other than that, doesn't have much opinions on the man. Hopes she doesn't run into him in the future.

Arrow: Fuckiiiiiiiiinnnnnng hates the guy. Doesn't know him, never really battled him I think, but just the mere fact he's part of Team Xen makes Arrow hate him. I feel like if Arrow knew Neved's story, the hatred would only grow.

But much like Imani, maybe their opinion of Neved will change with a replay. I do think Neved is an interesting character, I just haven't clicked with him personally like I have with Maman.
