Darkheart has gone to the Moon Oak to receive his nine lives. He received lives from Fishleap (his mother), Wheatstem (his father), Mintstream (his grandmother), Windgust (his mentor), Shellfrost (his sister), Yellowpaw (his first apprentice), Graymist (his best friend), Applestar (the leader he grew up under), and Ravenkit. He is now known as Darkstar, with nine new memories on his side

Let's get some proper references here!! Starting off with the leader, deputy, and medicine cat-- Darkstar, Greenrain, and Lightback!

All LightningClan cats can agree that Darkstar was the best choice for leader, especially after that fateful night. While she had never had ambitions of leadership, Darkstar has managed to salvage the remaining cats into a functioning clan once again. Although she's leader, she much prefers to offer a kind smile and let her clanmates take the spotlight.

Greenrain was a senior warrior at the founding of LightningClan, but seeing that there were no other options, he took up the position of deputy. The events that destroyed their former clan still haunt him, however, causing this deputy to fear for their stability. Due to their nervous natures, Greenrain and Rowanpaw have formed a bond, both finding solace that they're not the only anxious cats.

Barely old enough to earn her name, Lightback has become the sole medicine cat for LightningClan. Naturally gifted at caring for cats, Lightback falls into her role quite well; she has especially become close with Dovekit, forming a motherly bond with the kit. Lightback is also quite popular with the rest of the Clan, as most cats find it incredibly easy to get along with her.

I made a thief!! A magical thief who likes his shinies. Rhen was a former Mistwarden turned Sunspear following the exodus of the gods. Somehow, he still believes the best of people, and has hope for Elona's bright future.

IT'S OUT.

The first chapter of my bg3 long-fic featuring my Aasimar "tav" Bedivere and @new-austin 's Dark Urge, Gabriel! I have properly tagged for eventual violence, romance, and spoilers so please give it a once-over before you dive right in. If you do read, please let me know either in the Ao3 comments or right here! I will attach the fic summary as well.

The Dark Urge -- a tiefling named Gabriel with no memory beyond a bruised ego and a honed instinct to kill. The Morningstar -- an aasimar named Bedivere whom has been locked away in a monastery for nigh on twenty years. Bound by inscrutable fate and the deeds of men who play at being gods, they are brought together after a fateful nautiloid crash upon the Sword Coast. From there, it is a race against the clock to uncover the cure for tadpoles that plague their company, and the truth of the bloody past that Gabriel has left trailing behind him. Whispers from dark urges plague his mind, while the earnest pleas of Lathander guide Bedivere's steps. Time and fate are both poised against them. This fic will follow the plotline of Baldur's Gate 3 from the perspective of my "Tav", an aasimar of Lathander who has been rescued by Gabriel and called upon to help guide him. There will be spoilers for all three Acts, and much for the Dark Urge origin.

Augh I am SO proud of this piece. I wanted to lean into a style that more matched the original piece (below the cut), which this doesn't quite do but it is less cell shading and more texture which is what I was really after!!!
