hi, i’m kaz. i’m twenty-three and in cst. my sleeping schedule is completely flipped due to my job, so pls expect activity to be sporadic, and sometimes at a minimum. i haven’t actually rped in what feels like years and years, so please be patient while i get back into the swing of things.
for the most part this blog is going to be iconless. i may use gifs to match my writing partners, but that’s all. i have zero tech knowledge and as much as i Love pretty graphics.... they do not love me.
this blog is horror-based, and there may be disturbing/nsfw content at times. everything will be, of course, tagged appropriately.

I never really get the vehement argument Tumblr makes that the only way to have diversity is to turn a bunch of existing characters into other races or genders or sexualities. Just to go by the MCU, you have Darren Cross, Alexander Pierce, Hope Pym, Aldritch Killian, and Kaecilius, characters who are so minor and so embellished upon that they might as well be OCs. To say nothing of characters who actually are OCs, like Agent Coulson or Michael Pena’s Luis, who were quite warmly embraced by audiences. So you’re telling me it’s impossible to take a character like, say, the Scorcher--
Spruce up his origin story, give him a beef with Hank Pym or whatever, boom, you’ve got an antagonist for your movie. And you can do the same with any minor character. Curtis Doyle. Didn’t last long in the comics, not much canon to worry about, but a good foundation for a character. Bring him into the MCU, say he’s friend with Peter Parker, boom, you’ve got a gay character. You’re telling me that’s hard? You’re telling me people would rather have Harry Osborn be gay? The only reason I can think is that it’s just more of a stunt and more of a controversy to make Harry Osborn gay.
And before you say “well, there are characters you have to have, audiences won’t accept those characters not being there, so one of them has to take a bullet and get a new personality and be completely unrecognizable and be a Scientologist now.” Take Spider-Man. The real central characters of a Spider-Man movie I think would be Peter Parker, Aunt May, Mary Jane Watson, and J. Jonah Jameson. And it would be okay to leave one out. Say Aunt May is on a trip to Florida or Peter hasn’t met MJ yet or he doesn’t work at the Daily Bugle. Ideally, you’d have all of them, plus some more minor characters that are ‘just for flavor’ like Flash Thompson, Betty Brant, Robbie Robertson, etc. But you have Peter Parker, two of the others, and then whatever other cast you want, I think that would satisfy the requirements of being considered a Spider-Man story.
Batman, you need Bruce, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon. Superman--I think you could safely leave out all of the Daily Planet except for Lois, you could leave out the Kents (except for Clark, obviously), you could bench Lex. But no one complained that Man of Steel left out Lex Luthor and Jimmy Olsen. It’s just you really need to serve the meat and potatoes before you start tossing out, like, sushi floating in cucumber water. Because if all you get is sushi floating in cucumber water, even if you like it, it’s not really what you were in the mood for when you went to the Meat And Potatoes Restaurant.

Demetris Robertson, the former No. 1 WR, is leaving Cal
Robertson will have a lot of programs after him.
Demetris Robertson, the No. 1 receiver in college football’s 2016 recruiting class, is leaving Cal after two seasons. His description makes his departure sound like a transfer:

— Demetris Robertson (@d_rob4) June 21, 2018
Robertson is leaving due to “personal matters,” he said.
Robertson is from Savannah, Ga. He was the last major prospect to commit in the 2016 cycle, not announcing his pledge to the Bears until May 1.
He was formerly committed to Alabama, and at the time of his Cal commitment, he’d also been considering the Tide, Georgia, Stanford, and Notre Dame. Also:
Blazing fast former 5-star WR back on the market. Wouldn't be shocked if #OleMiss is in the picture where his old recruiter/WR coach from #Cal (Jacob Peeler) or #WVU where his OC (Jake Spavital) works. https://t.co/y9nJOM8jIF

Georgia was widely considered the favorite to land him under then-new head coach Kirby Smart, who was on the Alabama staff that had recruited Robertson when he committed there. Robertson signed financial-aid paperwork with multiple schools, which made his recruitment an unusual public spectacle even by five-star standards. Coaches, like Smart at UGA, were able to publicly woo Robertson without violating NCAA regulations:

Robertson chose Cal when the Bears’ head coach was Sonny Dykes, the purveyor of an air raid offense that involved tons of throwing the ball around the field. Cal fired Dykes after Robertson’s freshman season and replaced him with Justin Wilcox, a defensive coach.
Robertson had 50 catches for 767 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman. He missed almost the entire 2017 season with what Cal termed a lower-body injury.
