AYLA THOUGHTS

Thinking about how in Garlemald the Garleans are terrified of the warrior of light. They have friends who the wol has killed, they've known pain and suffering because of her actions.

The wol having a good reason obviously doesn't matter to these people, it doesn't bring these people's friends back from the dead, and it does not ease the pain they've felt because of the wol.

There's a part after a battle in stormblood where the wol is asked to find injured Garlean Soldiers and kill them- and she does! Even if these soldiers are begging for their lives the wol hunts them and kills them. She could have spared them, injured, afraid. But she doesn't. She kills them, because that's what she's been told to do.

And since I can't not talk about Zenos this makes me think about what he said in Endwalker:

"Would you be “happier” had I a “good reason” ? If my motives met with your approval, would you no longer resent the outcome ? "

They have a 10 step skincare routine and enjoy being in the sun and working out etc

Like they go for a jog as a part of their morning routine and then bathe in the ocean on their way home just because esque people yknow

Unfortunately Ayla is just a cringe fail mf who everyone still wants but man she's like the kinda gal who sleeps for like 3 hours at most every night and then has black coffee, a redbull and a cigarette for breakfast

Couldn't help but notice when I looked through my screenshots how Ayla looks straight ahead when Zenos walks past her - while he actually peeks a glance at her.

I think about Ayla having the worst time of her life in dt - trying her best to keep a happy face on BECAUSE A SMILE BETTER SUITS A HERO :-), walking around just trying her best to hide that she spends the nights sobbing in her bed feeling guilty and awful about the events of EW. 🫶🏻✌🏻

Since I did not enjoy DT and found it rather boring I thought i'd spice it up a bit. Headcanon: Throughout DT Ayla basically hallucinates Zenos sometimes, commenting on things that's happening - switching it up between being supportive and cruel.
