Fanfic Trope
Sunshine x Grumpy
Hi and thank you for the ask!
I would definitely write this trope and I am actually going to! I happen to have created two OCs that perfectly fit this dynamic (although I only realized it quite recently). The people that fit this trope are….*drum roll*…
Eradan and Aeliniel
Before actually explaining how they fit this trope, I'm going to provide some general information and their backstory. Eradan is the second born of Faramir, Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien and his second wife, Finduilas. Finduilas is the youngest daughter of Angbor the Fearless, Lord of Lamedon. By the time we meet her in The Lady of Ithilien she's pushing thirty and still unmarried. She's refused every single marriage proposal she's received and Angbor is worried because he basically has no heir. For the longest time I thought Finduilas would come from a large all-girls family (she was supposed to be youngest of six sisters), but as I've started developing her I thought of making her Angbor's only daughter. Angbor is desperate for an heir to Lamedon and with six daughters it would unlikely for him not to have one already—I suppose that at least one of them would give birth to a boy, after all. So that's basically why I made Finduilas an only child. She's an old maid by Gondorian standards and Angbor has been looking for a suitable match for years. He does not believe in arranged marriages and always allowed Finduilas to do whatever she wanted, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a bit concerned about it. He's at a crossroads and has no idea what to do. Unbeknownst to him (and luckily for him), Enna suggests Finduilas as a potential new bride for her father. Enna wants Faramir to remarry both because of the disdain she feels towards Éowyn and because of an issue which is slightly rooted in culture and, by extension, politics. As I explained in my post for Day 3 of Tolkien OC Week, Enna has been mocked, ridiculed, marginalized and abused by her fellow ladies because of her perceived inferiority due to her mixed blood. Gondorians in my AU(s) are extremely uppity, stuck-up and racist and they hate all people who happen to be even just slightly different from them or people who come from different cultural backgrounds. Gondor is the center of the universe and everyone/everything else just sucks and isn't worth mentioning. As a result, Gondorian ladies deliberately make Enna’s life hell and the fact that she is initially betrothed to the Crown Prince only worsens her relationship with them. They think her unfit to be Crown Princess and, ultimately, their future Queen and are even more intolerant and aggressive. Enna genuinely fears that people might treat Elboron the same way (he's a toddler at the beginning of the story, but Enna loves her baby brother and thinks ahead) and wants him raised by a Gondorian woman so that he may be shielded from any harm. She's already met Finduilas and deems her suitable to be Princess of Ithilien. She manages to persuade Aragorn to accept her idea and the two of them are engaged pretty quickly. They marry in FoA 16—for reference, Éowyn died giving birth to Elboron in FoA 11—and Enna marries Eldarion three weeks later. They're both spring weddings so I'd say they might take place in…March? April? I haven't quite decided yet. Anyways, they get married and their first child, Faelivrin (everybody calls her Fae) is born either in late FoA 16 or early FoA 17 (though I am probably going with early FoA 17 since Arwen and Aragorn will have twins in FoA 16. I don't want a single year to be jam-packed with too many events). Eradan, their second child, is born in FoA 18.
This was just a bit of backstory to introduce Eradan as a character. Now, I'm going to delve into his personality. Eradan is the baby of the House of Húrin and, as such, he is babied a lot, especially by his mother and Enna. Everybody loves him but Finduilas and Enna are absolutely all over him. Enna loves both Fae and Eradan tremendously and practically raises them. They're her babies and she actually “uses them” to practice her mothering skills. As I mentioned earlier, Eradan is born in FoA 18 and Enna marries Elphirion, her second husband, later that year (I still have to decide whether Finduilas is pregnant on the day of Enna’s wedding or she attends with newborn Eradan. Or maybe Eradan stays back in Ithilien with his wet nurse and nannies while Enna gets married in Pelargir. Elphirion is heir to Lebennin, but I actually don't know if all noble marriages take place in Minas Tirith regardless of fiefdoms. I don't have a headcanon about it yet. I would love for her to have a quiet ceremony in Lebennin though. It's her second marriage so I suppose it will be very different from her first. After all, Eldarion was the Crown Prince and Elphirion is “just” a lord. I guess I'll have to think about it).
Anyways, Enna gets pregnant soon after the wedding and her first son, Anárion, is born on FoA 19. I imagine she will visit her family pretty often—she and Faramir are still on extremely good terms at this point in time—and she takes Anárion with her. Anárion and Eradan are extremely close in age and they have more a brotherly relationship than an uncle-nephew relationship. They're children and play together as much as they're allowed, but it's clear pretty early on that they have pretty different personalities. While Anárion is bubbly, constantly asks questions and tends to talk all the time, Eradan is quiet. He's very perceptive and smart, but he's shy and not at all gregarious. He likes spending time alone and, generally speaking, he likes to be left alone. He's kind and polite to others, but social gatherings cause him major anxiety and he sometimes feels out of place even with people he trusts and is comfortable with. Though he may not always be grumpy, he kind of always looks like he is? It's not his fault, but he truly doesn't like being around people. As he grows up, his natural inclination to loneliness gets worse and worse and it gets harder for him to socialize with people. He spends his time reading and taking care of the many stray cats he rescues—he loves animals and is obsessed with cats. He has plenty and generally reads old myths and old lore just to get inspiration for cat names. All of his cats named after historical people from the Elder Days, such as Gothmog, Glorfindel, Celebrimbor etc. I've actually come up with a snippet of him looking his two most recent cats: Finwë and Fëanor. Finwë is white and Fëanor is black. I can see him running around and trying to pet them. Finwë is a cutie who adores being held and Fëanor is little troublemaker who basically hates him and scratches and bites him constantly. His name is Fëanor, after all.
As Eradan grows and matures, he starts feeling more and more alienated from his family and, although he deeply loves his siblings, he starts to feel like he doesn't belong in the same room as them. He doesn’t physically resemble his parents that much and his big, protruding ears are cause of major insecurity and distress for him. He hates the fact that they stick out and often wears hats and bandanas to conceal and cover them. He has Angbor’s ears and mostly looks like him, which isn’t to say that he's ugly. On the contrary, he is considered to be handsome, but he feels ugly and unimportant. He feels, for lack of a better word, like a spare. He's seven years old when Enna marries Eönwë and becomes the most powerful woman in all of Arda and, despite being hated by many, she's also revered and respected. Elboron is Faramir's heir and has relationships with guys, girls and whatnot. I'm not saying he is playboy, but he does have a few relationship on top of those with Eglerion and Meleril. He sure as heck isn't a virgin when he marries Meleril. 🤣
Everybody likes him and Eradan is jealous of his charisma and natural charm. He wishes he could be like him and often cries himself to sleep because he feels like no one truly loves him. He has no true purpose in life except being a replacement if something happens to Elboron. He feels like he's not valuable and his cats are the essentially the only reason he doesn't self-harm or kill himself. He knows his cats need him and they would die if he weren't around so he tries to be strong for them. After they marry, Eönwë and Enna move into Emyn Arnen and revamp it so that it can be a home not just to them and their ever growing family, but also to the many Maiar coming from Aman that have chosen to stay in Middle-earth. This is why Faramir and the rest of Enna’s family move full time to Minas Tirith (he takes all of his cats with him of course). The fact that he doesn't look like his parents attracts unwanted attention in the capital and instead of thinking he might look like his paternal grandfather or simply minding their business, the people at court—who are always looking for ways to slander one another in order to stay relevant—start accusing Finduilas of infidelity and claim that Eradan is not Faramir's son. These claims cause him to have a full breakdown. He locks himself in his room and refuses to get out (he's a pre-teen when all of this takes place). His cats and the memory of Aeliniel are his only comfort as he plunges deeper and deeper into paranoia and depression.
Aeliniel is initially a Maiarin child Enna takes into her service pretty early on after her marriage. She's sensible and ladylike, but also bubbly and charming and Enna thinks she is the perfect match for Eradan. Though she doesn't think of marriage straightaway, she thinks Aeliniel might cheer him up and be a good friend to him. Enna knows Eradan has a hard time making friends, but hope she'll win him over somehow. She's pretty adorable and she likes cats, so that's a start. Enna temporarily dismisses her from her service and sends her to Minas Tirith. As her relationship with Faramir is practically non-existent by then, she sends Elboron a letter detailing every single thing and Aeliniel eventually reaches Minas Tirith, accompanied by a few Maiarin guards—yes, that's definitely Eönwë being overprotective. She may be a Maia, but she's a child and Eönwë has a soft spot for children. She's received by Elboron and he arranges for her to start her formal training and schooling in Minas Tirith upon Enna’s command. She attends her lessons—because she's a Maia she knows almost everything, either by hearsay or because she witnessed it—but she notices a meek young boy meticulously taking notes. She thinks he looks lonely and rather sad and her first instinct is to ask for his name. Enna hasn't exactly told her why she sent her to Minas Tirith—other than her, only Elboron knows—but she's surprised when the boy’s name is Eradan as she heard a lot about him. He initially doesn't even want to speak to her (he's afraid she'll mock him or accuse him of something), but he slowly realizes she just wants to be his friends and that she is genuine and bears him no ill-will. As they get to know one another, Eradan learns she likes cats and starts trusting her when he sees his own cats are comfortable around her. From then on, they become friends and Eradan sees her as his only friend. They spend all of their time together (Eradan still sees Anárion from time to time and the two of them send each other letters. Enna’s other kids also send him letters and presents) and they're attached at the hip. It doesn't take much time though for other boys to start noticing a beautiful Maiarin girl and sons of noblemen start gifting her things and she receives love letters. Eradan doesn't really like that and is suddenly afraid of losing his only friend. Although he doesn't understand why, he feels incredibly jealous of any boy who tries flirting with her. They're just friends, it shouldn't be a problem, right? Aeliniel takes part in several balls and social gatherings while Eradan stays behind. As the years go by, she starts receiving marriage proposals and even thinks of saying yes to at least a couple people (she's been in love with Eradan for years, but the guy is so socially awkward he probably didn't even notice her clues). In the meantime, Eradan has finally understood he's in love with her, but he has no idea how to express his feelings and thinks it's useless since he assumes she doesn't like him at all. Oh, you, fool of a Took. He believes her friendship was fake all along and assumes she just talked to him because she pitied him. He keeps a diary where, among other things, he basically admits he's madly in love with Aeliniel and dreams to marry her, but is interrupted as he's writing the last sentence and leaves the diary on his bed. This whole diary thing happens on his birthday. Aeliniel enters his room to bring him her gift and notices the diary. She reads the page and tears of happiness start flowing. She waits for him to return and jumps on him kissing him. Then, she whispers happy birthday and gives him her gift. They court for a while and Eradan finally starts smiling and is a bit more social. He needs to be encouraged to make friendships, but Aeliniel’s naturally bubbly personality is his blueprint. Sometimes he's a little too bubbly and Aeliniel needs to warn him to tone it down a bit. He’s been alone for so long that he really doesn’t know how to talk to people.
They marry a few years before Enna dies (I think around FoA 40/41). I don't know whether Angbor is still alive by then, but they move to Lamedon and Aeliniel helps Eradan overcome his anxiety and helps him in being a good lord to his people and comforts him when Enna dies. Her death will be a major trauma for him and it will almost cause him to revert to the grumpy, depressed teenager he once was. It's safe to say he'd probably be dead without Aeliniel. She's everything to him. When Angbor dies, they officially become lord and lady of Lamedon and Aeliniel organizes parties and social gatherings. She's a very skilled entertainer and Eradan lets her take care of that while he handles business, politics and paperwork. They start adopting even more animals, not just cats, and their palace becomes a sanctuary for hurt dogs, cats and whatnot. They'll probably have one son, but I'm still not sure about that.
That's it. Thank you for the ask! This is all I have for now, but, who knows, I might come up with even more info. For instance, I imagine Aeliniel to have a prankster side, which Enna would definitely not have approved of, but I don't know exactly what it entails. I know her jokes are pretty harmless, but I don't know anything more than that.
Thank you again for the ask!

Fancast:
Finduilas of Lamedon
DOB: TA 3007
DOD:
Youngest daughter of Angbor the Fearless, Lord of Lamedon, she marries Faramir a few years after Éowyn's death. She gives the Steward two children: Faelivrin "Fae" and Eradan. She's Elenna's stepmom and the two of them have a great relationship. Hers and Faramir's is initially an arranged marriage, but the two quickly develop a mutual respect which eventually turns into affection and love.
Fancast: Laura Berlin
Faelivrin "Fae"
DOB: Around late FoA 16/early FoA 17
DOD:
Third child (and second daughter) of Faramir, Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien. Her mother is Finduilas of Lamedon, Princess of Ithilien and Lady of Emyn Armen.
She looks up to her big sister and utterly adores her. She's basically Enna's mini-me. She adores her siblings (she has a necklace with their initials) and loves pearls. She legally marries Şehzade (later Sultan) Orhan and receives, upon marriage, the title of Haseki Sultan, thus becoming a queen of Harad (I still don't know which kingdom or province specifically)
Fancast: Isla-Merrick Lawless (child); adult fancast is yet to be decided.
Eradan
DOB: FoA 18
DOD:
Fourth child (and second son) of Faramir of Gondor, Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien. His mother is Finduilas of Lamedon. He marries Aeliniel.
Fancast: Henry Proctor (child)
Jannis Niëwohner (teenager/adult)
Gilraen
DOB: FoA 3
DOD: After FoA 220
Princess of the Reunited Kingdom, first daughter of King Elessar and Queen Arwen. Her name was supposed to be Celebrían, but then Aragorn asked Arwen if they could name her Gilraen and Arwen accepted. Though she loves him, she thinks her brother is an idiot and she totally thinks Elenna shouldn't marry him. Outspoken and at times excessively blunt, she has a bad relationship with Arwen. She loves the sea and spends most of the time in Dol Amroth just to get away from her mother and her brother. She's friends with Elenna and Adanel.
Fancast: Kaya Scodelario
Lóthuil
DOB: FoA 16
DOD: After FoA 220
Princess of the Reunited Kingdom, second daughter of King Elessar and Queen Arwen. Her name means "Spring Flower". She's much more of a lady than her sister, but she too is very blunt and loves archery (both sisters are great at it). Eldarion has a soft spot for her (she thinks he's an idiot) and she'll enter Enna's service for a time.
Fancast: Marina Moschen
Meleril
DOB: FoA 19
DOD: After FoA 220
Princess of the Reunited Kingdom. Third daughter of Aragorn and Arwen. She's betrothed to Elboron.
Fancast: Mariya Andreeva
Mörwen
DOB: TA 2941
DOD: Shortly after FoA 120 (presumably FoA 122-123)
King Elessar's first cousin; her father being the older brother of Gilraen, Aragorn's mother. (that's totally another OC and I don't have a faceclaim for him since he won't even be mentioned in the story).
Gilraen (Aragorn's daughter) is extremely fond of her and spends most of her time in Dol Amroth in her mansion. Morwen married a nobleman from Dol Amroth who is deceased. She's widow with no children of her own and loves Gilraen as if she were her own daughter. She's also close to Lóthuil, but doesn't see much of the latter since Lóthuil is not particularly fond of the sea (if the two of them meet, it's definitely in Minas Tirith).
Fancast: Selen Öztürk
Maelivrin
DOB:
DOD: FoA 23-24
Lady of the court. Background for the character is yet to be decided. I only know she'll give the Herald a major trauma. Everyone calls her Maeva (she likes it way better than her given name and it's one of the many reasons why her parents nearly disown her. Not the main reason, but one of the many)
Fancast: Francesca Del Fa
Ethelia
DOB:
DOD:
Lady of the court. Born to a Dúnadan father and a Rohirrim mother, she resides in Gondor. She'll marry Selim.
Fancast: Anna Popplewell

Faramir's assistant/herald/scribe/helper. He's prone to distraction and is very clumsy, but he's extremely loyal to the Steward and genuinely wants to help him.

Maiarin OCs
Still unnamed
Attendant to Ilmarë. Similarly to her lady, she does not like Elenna (at least initially), but still protects her and defends her.
She descended into Arda when it was first created and has been by Ilmarë's side ever since.
Fancast: María Valverde
Wilwarin (Wilya)
Maia serving Irmo and occasionally Nienna. She's had a major crush on Olórin ever since she met him. Although she's not the sharpest tool in the box, she's kind-hearted and mostly keeps to herself. Extremely naive and at times completely clueless, she's been nicknamed Wilya (airhead) by her fellow Maiar. She's obsessed with Olórin because he's actually the only one who has ever interacted with her
She entered Arda at the beginning of the Second Age, following the War of Wrath.
Fancast: Tuğba Melis Türk
Isilmë
Maya of Yavanna. Considered among the most beautiful Maiarin women to ever enter Arda, she has been obsessed with the Herald since she first saw him. They had a brief fling following the War of Wrath, which, needless to say, ended very quickly (and badly). She's firmly convinced he is still in love with her and will do anything to get him back. Her name is Quenya for moonlight.
She entered Arda following the War of Wrath around the same time as Wilwarin.
Fancast: Beste Kökdemir
Isilya
Maya of Yavanna. She's Isilmë's close friend (or so she believes). She fails to realize Isilmë doesn't really love her or value her friendship, but simply uses her for her own purposes. She blindly follows her "friend" and indistinctly agrees with the latter says or does (at least initially), as she's been brainwashed into thinking she's perfect. She does not seem, at least initially, to have a mind of her own, modeling her own behavior after that of her friend, as she's afraid to lose the connection they share. She's petty and very annoying, but not inherently evil (she has a conscience) and might redeem herself eventually. Fun fact: her name is Quenya for "third day of the week"
She entered Arda following the War of Wrath.
Fancast: Dilara Aksüyek
Erekilya
Maia of Tulkas, one of the few Maiarin women in the Valinórean army. She's one of the first Maiar to pledge allegiance to the Herald's new wife as she immediately becomes intrigued with her because of the whole "I punched Sauron in the face" situation.
She entered Arda before the ending of the First Age and participated in the War of Wrath.
Fancast: Gwendoline Christie
Mendelion
Lord Manwë's groom and cupbearer. He becomes Eönwë's main attendant after he marries Enna. He worships Olórin (and kind of simps for him as well. He'd love for a Bagginshield thing to happen, but Olórin really doesn't reciprocate the feeling). He is VERY clumsy and has a stutter. He also loves Elenna very much (platonically) and his ears become bright pink every time he talks to her (also, his stutter worsens by a lot every time he tries to talk to her. She basically has to finish his sentences)
He entered Arda after the War of Wrath, at the beginning of the Second Age.
Fancast: Colin Morgan
Anárien
Maia of Nessa who entered Arda at the beginning of the Third Age. She'll hover around Elenna primarily because she falls in love with Elboron and wants her to set them up. To all the ladies who have their eyes set on the heir of the House of Stewards: beware. She's not normally vicious but she can be. Especially when it comes to her blond-haired crush.
Fancast: Suki Waterhouse
Aeliniel
Originally a Maia of Vána, she eventually marries Eradan, son of Faramir and Finduilas. She's one of Enna's servants and she sets them up.
(More info to be added)
Fancast: Yael Grobglas
Handalimë
Originally a Maia of Vána, she is thoughtful, level-headed, smart and highly practical (albeit a bit ignorant about worldly things). She is Elenna's lady of the chamber and takes her duties VERY seriously. As a result, she is often bossy and can be also quite rude if she deems things are done improperly. She quickly grows fond of her new lady, becoming oneof her most trusted servants and her main confidante. In spite of her bossiness, she's usually calm and collected and makes it her mission to protect her lady from anyone who may wish her harm (predominantly her sister Isilmë and a few of the Noldorin elves). She constantly worries about Elenna and her lady's well-being is her utmost priority.
She entered Arda sometime before the end of the First Age.
Fancast: Gülcan Arslan
Nárael
Maia of Aulë and younger sister of Arien, she's spunky and crafty but also naive and shy. She loves making rings and necklaces and will be gifting many jewels to her new lady.
She can often be found chatting with Gimli. She's never actually seen a dwarf before and wants to know all about dwarf customs and traditions (for fairly obvious reasons, I'd say). She loves stoking fires and sitting by fireplaces.
She entered Arda at the beginning of the Third Age.
Fancast: Sophie Turner
Aranwen
A Maia of Nessa, she loves dancing, nature and poetry. She's not a great conversationalist, but when she does speak, one had better stop and listen. She loves reading and will spend many hours discussing books and history with her lady. She enjoys needlework and she's quite a good painter as well. She respects Elena greatly and often reassures her. Even though they get on each other's nerves quite often, she's great friends with Naráel. She too will spend a bit of time with Gimli, but only to try and convince him that ripping down trees is inherently bad. Nevertheless, she grows fond of the lord of the Glittering Caves- she and Legolas will try and teach him how to dance. Whether they will succeed is still unknown.
She entered Arda at the beginning of the Third Age.
Fancast: Rose Williams
Elenya
Maia of Varda (the name is kind of a giveaway).
She's sweet, kind and very protective of Elenna. She often likes to remark how similar their names are and loves to recount stories that most have forgotten (star-related, of course)
She Ilmarë before she volunteered to join Elenna's household.
She entered Arda during the Years of the Trees.
Fancast: Yasemin Allen
Varonwë
Main general of the Maiarin Army. He has secret feelings for Handalimë (the interest is mutual, they just never really spoke about it). He admires Elenna and makes it known right away.
He entered Arda soon after it was created and fought in the War of Wrath alongside Eönwë'.
Fancast: Heath Ledger
Anaranwë
He entered Arda during the First Age and fought in the War of Wrath alongside the Herald.
Fancast: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Urinwë
Aranwen's older brother (? maybe I'll change it.)
He dismisses Elenna and cannot understand why the Herald married her. He has a temper and is the most rebellious out of the four generals. He will come around eventually and he'll become one of Elenna's staunchest supporters.
It is unknown when he entered Arda, but he fought in the War of Wrath.
Fancast: Stanley Weber
Erionwë
The youngest general. He has a platonic crush on Elenna and writes sonnets for her, encouraged by Aranwen. Many Maiar have platonic crushes on their new lady and he's just one of the many. He falls in love with Elarien.
He entered Arda after the Downfall of Numenor.
Fancast: William Moseley
-
Silnur
Eönwë and Elenna's ward. Having entered Arda at the beginning of the Fourth Age, he's the youngest Maia in Valinor. He's also Eönwë squire and page.
Faceclaim: Asa Butterfield (child). His adult version should be Jacob Dudman, but I'm not sure anymore (to be updated)
Mäirel
She loves playing with Enna's hair. She is just a bit of a bully to Silnur and baby Anárion.
Fancast: Georgie Henley
This (still unnamed) dude
Former attendant to Eönwë, now servant of Mairon (probably Mairon promised him random stuff and tricked him into his service). He slow poisons Eönwë every day for years. He'll have a repentant phase, but Mairon forces him to keep poisoning the Herald. Eönwë eventually forgives him (why are so you kind, my Bird-boy) and lets him go.
Moyeldë
Formerly named Carassëa.
Sauron/Mairon's main female servant (and concubine). She infiltrates Enna's household upon his command.
She entered Arda shortly after it was created.

For the Headcanons Game
☮ - friendship headcanon
OC: Esme
Thank you for the ask!
Friendship headcanon and Esme. Here we go.
I'm actually excited for you to meet her because she'll be appear in one of the one-shots for Tolkien OC week. Though she's not the main focus of the one-shot, I'm glad I managed to write a little bit about her. I haven't really developed her backstory that much yet, but she's Half-elven and Half-Human. She's the governess of the Elenwë kiddos and she thinks of them as her best friends. She loves children in general and tries to mother them since Enna is a poor excuse of a mother for a while. She showers them with attention and spends most of her time with Wyn since the poor girl feels neglected and thinks her mom hates her (this will be addressed in the one-shot for Day 2...at least partly. I'll try my best not to make it extremely tragic). Esme is a really gentle soul and the children adore her. This will probably cause Enna to get jealous of her and she'll probably be sent away. The children will miss them a lot and she will miss them too.
She's close with Aeliniel (one of Enna's many attendants who will later marry Eradan—not Elboron, I changed my mind) and, knowing that the former lady of Ithilien deeply cares for her and actually listens to her, will ask her to try and convince Enna to let her stay for the children's sake. I don't think Aeliniel will be able to do much though. You know how stubborn Enna is.
Even after her banishment, Esme will keep some presents from the children (a seashell necklace Wyn put together—I suppose she got them in Dol Amroth—and something else from Miríon).
She's sent away after Finnie is born, I guess. Or maybe the following year. Enna basically throws a fit, has an argument with Eönwë and then she banishes Esme because she basically overheard someone saying that Wyn loves her nanny more than she loves her mother. Enna is deeply hurt and takes her anger out on poor Esme. She's friends with nearly everybody in Enna's household and they're pretty saddened to see her go.
Esme is the kind of happy, spunky person who makes new friends everywhere she goes. She loves baking cakes and cookies and loves trying on dresses—I think she bought Wyn a new one which Enna then threw away because she thought it inappropriate. She loves dancing and Mírion learned a few things from her in that department. She hates Ioreth with a passion and the feeling is reciprocated. I think she tried to tell Enna that Ioreth had hit one of the children but Enna of course didn't believe her because "Ioreth would never do it." That was probably yet another excuse to take her anger out on her. She'll live in Milkwood for a few years and Eönwë will ask her to come back once Enna's health starts deteriorating following either a stillbirth or a miscarriage. Once Ioreth dies and Enna is off her meds, they will reconcile and actually become friends (sort of). Enna by then is utterly spent and just wants to die so...good luck trying to cheer her up. By the time she gets pregnant with the twins, Enna basically dismisses everybody because she's mentally preparing to go, but Esme will stick around even just to ensure that she eats and doesn't fully let herself go. She's a real friend, a selfless person. I don't think Enna will ever trust her though. She doesn't trust anyone.
A few days before she dies, Enna will apologize to her and will probably gift a pair of earrings which she will later wear that the funeral. She comforts the children and sticks around for Eönwë's funeral as well. She accompanies the surviving kids to the Grey Havens and that's the last time they see one another. Both the kids and Esme will cry. A lot.
Aaaand... that's all.
Thank you again for sending in the ask!

HIATUS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
I've tried to write, but as it turns out, it's really hard for me to focus and actually complete anything while scrolling through Tumblr is all I feel compelled to do. Which is why I've decided to go on a Tumblr hiatus again. I'll be offline until Christmas, more or less. I have many side projects I WANT to work on and hopefully finish, but I need to kick my Tumblr addiction to the curb in order to do so. I plan to finish and post both my untitled Elboron x Eglerion one-shot and my yet untitled Éothíriel fic based on the Hallmark roulette game created by @lucifers-legions. They're both supposed to be short stories, so I'm hoping to be able to post them by Dec. 25. I am also jotting down ideas for my Isilwen short story (characters: Isilya and Aranwen, my Maiarin girlfriends).
I also plan to start (not post) a new snippet based on the information I shared last night concerning the Grumpy x Sunshine Fanfic Trope Ask (ask from @jhelenivarsimae). The main characters in this will be Eradan & Aeliniel and the plot will be...there will probably be no plot. Just fluff and them being adorable. When I am done with all of these, I will go back to working on the Tolkien OC week one-shots that still need to be completed and only then, I'll finish off Chapter 4 of Lady of Ithilien. I KNOW it's long overdue, but I kind of want to develop other characters and I need a break from Elenwë and their constant misfortune.
That being said, you can still text me and send questions and asks. I'll get back to you all after Christmas. 😊
In the meantime, Happy Holidays!
Not me being tempted to reblog every single OC ask game I come across just to have an excuse to ramble about my characters 😭 someone stop me, please. I have so many fics and side projects to work on, I can't spend all my time on Tumblr. I really do want to ramble about my OCs though, they're my babies. Ugh.
