Started to do some reference sheets for Mel and I wanna do her different looks throughout the series! (I'll do Zoo too i swear-)

The once-private lives of doctors are being exposed. Earlier this month, court documents have been making their rounds online. The public records reveal Dr. Tobias Carrick and - now ex-partner - model Mel Anderson are fighting for custody of their daughter, Priscilla.

Insiders from both sides say each is geared up for a messy fight. Today, the former couple will appear in front of a mediator. If all goes well, they could avoid a judge's declaration. However, it seems things are getting worse for Mel.

Leaked photos of the supermodel are circulating the internet. The images expose the model for having an affair with photographer Pablo. The two have worked together on numerous shoots - a handful being Mel's most acclaimed.

Now, is this just poor timing or has the doctor decided to play dirty? Historically, mothers have been granted custody far more than fathers. As a doctor who recently opened his private practice, Dr. Carrick might be deemed unfit for custody of a child as young as Priscilla.

Mel is getting a lot of love this art fight so I thought I'd make a post dedicated to them!! (aka actually post her ref instead of forgetting lol)

I wrote a bio a while ago it's under the cut :3

Birthday: November 8th (Approximately in Earth months)

Age: 0.44 Pluto years (109 Earth years) (Like, 22 if you look at her if she's a human being)

Mel is a somewhat ditzy Earling, exhibiting habits that are typically out of the norm. However, she is tough and has a heart of gold. She is mainly relied upon by her friends for protection due to her physical strength, but she typically does not fight back and instead looks at the attacker with confusion. On the other hand, her friends are very protective of her as well, usually describing her as "very lovable and sweet." Additionally, she never learned to speak Earth's languages and primarily communicates through a series of purrs and chirps. However, she is able to understand and read English.

She is very inquisitive. One of her favorite activities is to look up at the starry sky and wonder what's out there. She also loves to listen to other Earlings' troubles and stories. She is also very affectionate; enjoying a nice cheek scratch every now and then.

Mel has a deep fascination with fruits and is determined to cultivate them. Ever since the Earthlings delivered their first care package, which contained a large and peculiar batch of small hard shells (seeds), they took it upon themself to learn how they work. Eventually, through many dissections and trial and error, they successfully cultivated strawberries on Pluto by using powerful lamps and altering the thickness of the seed to withstand Pluto's harsh cold. they've been fond of them ever since they saw the first strawberry sprout. Subsequently, they began planting other types of fruits available, such as watermelon. their favorite season is summer on Pluto, as it's at least a tiny bit hotter and their plants can actually grow.

Many regard Mel as some sort of hidden genius behind their ditzy demeanor, but they disregard the compliments and claim that it's just common sense.

I have the craziest ship in my head... and its literally only me who ships it. Remember when I brought up my oc Mel and then I mentioned Alope 😭

THEY'RE SUCH A FUNNY PAIRING TO ME!!

Rich Girl with a savior complex, poor girl with a savior complex...

Mel already has a thing for women with long hair who are buff (see Tankei) I literally think Mel would just fall in love with Alope on SIGHT. Alope's strong, but she's also super silly and filled with ardor. Like she'd instantly click with Mel even if the first thing she said was ridiculous (Mel thinks its charming).

Mel would want to take care of her, but Alope hates when there's an unbalanced dynamic like that in any sort of relationship. So Alope would probably lash out (lash out as in she panicks and makes Mel realize how privileged she is). And after that Mel would have to humble herself and see that Alope isn't some poor girl who needs a sugar daddy. She wants to make her own way out of the hole.

Mel's solution? Go adventuring with Alope! Help her make the money herself! Be her knight, but also Mel is bad at using melee weapons so she can go "Eek! Alope save me!" Alope would EAT THAT UP!!!

And after knowing Mel for a while I think then Alope would reciprocate it. <- which is another reason why I think Alope is demiromantic

I mean Alope probably also thought Mel was cute, but like I said in the post comparing the two. Mel is more naive. Like YES i wrote Alope dumb but she's way less naive than Mel and even Hana i think. And naive people- Naive adults- are one of Alope's pet peeves. So it would take her a while to feel anything Romantic for Mel. (Though yes, this means it was very possible she felt non romantic attraction to Mel before it all.)

Okay so I was gonna wait until tomorrow to post this but I got excited so I'm posting now. This is for the Rowvember prompt "Feather"!

I decided to draw Mel as a phoenix because I associate her with phoenix for so many different reasons that I won't get into here. But this turned out so pretty 🥰
