WIP Wthursday WOOOOO!!

i've been so busy with school which, at the very least, means i have lots of wips! it also means i don't have time to finish anything but shhhh

today i have for youuu... gasp. writing??? that's right. Pre-Heartbreak Chargestep Fic In Progress. it was meant to be a short little snippet and instead i've written just under 3000 words before getting to the goddamn point. so enjoy a little slice of that!

and just for fun have some sketches as well :3 some completely unrelated ripley/ricardo chargestep art, aaaand Lilith and Quinn, who are Judas' and Al's puppets that are totally just girlbestfriends... mhm nothing more going on there (Lilith/Judas belongs to @b33tlejules :3)

Introducing this absolute asshole. This lying bastard. This piece of shit who will lie to your face with a smile and feel nothing about it. Farm training worked too well on this guy.

Okay bullying aside, everyone please say hi to Judas :) He's the cis(?) gay white man of your nightmares. He's average height, dresses in a fashionably elegant androgynous style (set_genderquestion=true), and wears red tinted shades to cancel out the Void green of his eyes. If it wasn't obvious from the everything about him, he has the puppetmaster hb scar.

In my "canon" playthrough, he has a buried crush on Ricardo so of course he copes by dating Chen instead. Unfortunately for him, his feelings for Chen are Real and Genuine and he has to figure out how to deal with being Real and Genuine for the first time. This guy can wear so many masks.

Judas got his own perfect ending of getting into a car crash as Lilith, waking up in his own body, and deciding to tell Chen he was a Re-Gene knowing damn well he wouldn't do anything about it :)

Rhan: Short. A challenge, but I never like it when it's easy. She could kill me and I'd smile as I bleed out.

Teo: The first person to see me as human, and loved me even when that ended up not being the case.

Judas: Tall, handsome, 35 percent metal, somehow just as emotionally constipated as me. The perfect man.

Rhan: Troubled, reactive, and self-sabatoging. They'd describe themselves as broken, tired, and pissed.

Teo: Burdened, determined, and tired. She'd describe herself as invisible, certain, and monsterous.

Judas: Manipulative, risk-averse, and arrogant. He'd describe himself as elegant, intuitive, and honest (in his own way :) )

Rhan: Answered already here :)

Teo: She does, especially with well worn things like books or old jackets or furniture that's seen years. Just knowing something has been around for a long enough time and still have value in its wear and tear. Things that have history.

Judas: No. That's weird.

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

Rhan: Also already answered here :)

Teo: Trees on all sides, broken down car. Passenger long forgotten in the backseat, slumped from the crash. Faceless and nameless. Just another corpse in your wake. Staggering in borrowed shoes down a ravine. Branches tear at exposed limbs. Something howls in the distance. The dog bite on her arm aches.

Judas: Strings of lies and fictions and illusions of personhood bind and weave around joints and limbs like external ligaments. Motions well thought in advance, everything so predictable he gets bored. The body beneath these wires shift, face never consistent. He's been through the motions, and its supposedly his own hand that moves him now. But something is gripping his wrist, wrenching his Self this way and that.

8. Do complex puzzles intrigue or frustrate them?

Rhan: Intrigued. Big fan of puzzles. They have a surprising amount of patience when it comes to complex technology, which they approach with a puzzle solving mindset.

Teo: Frustrated. Not that she doesn't have the patience, she does, but she's not all that interested investing a lot of time into them.

Judas: Also frustrated. He's impatient. Not worth the challenge if he doesn't get anything out of it.

20. What do they like that nobody else does?

Rhan: So there's this underground indie band you've probably never heard of--

Teo: There's this cheesy horror movie she found in a clearence bin that she rewatches every time she needs noise to drown out her thoughts. The plot sucks, the practical effets are even worse, and it's only 45 minutes long. But it's fun to laugh at how bad it is, and it's familiar. By some miracle after her second escape she managed to track down another dvd of it, and it's just as bad as she remembered.

Judas: His taste in coffee is so fucking expensive that it practically just tastes like burnt dirt. He loves it. Has a whole ritual he goes through in the morning when he has time to actually brew his own coffee.

Wild card... 4! Do they look good in red?

Rhan: Nah

Teo: Yes it's her favorite color, specifically a darker burgundy red.

Judas: Yes but only as an accent color rather than the whole outfit. If he wanted to accent his green eyes, then he'd wear a monochromatic red outfit. He doesn't want to.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

Rhan: Easy to draw, they've got such a messy personality that every day I'm discovering new things about them. Also they're like peak gender euphoria to me.

Teo: Looove drawing her, I love that despite her outward appearance of being almost emotionless and calm, she's such a hopeless romantic. She hates that she can't just be this unfeeling monster like everyone expects her to be and its sooooo yummy to me.

Judas: He's such a bitch and he's so much fun to write. I love that he actually has the power to back up his personality, just makes him all the more villainous

Gary: I like that his accent is like if ned flanders and jennifer coolige had a baby and he was abandoned and raised in proximity of at least One cowboy. He's such a wet blanket of a guy, but he's gaining a backbone.

58: Who’s more likely to hold a grudge after an argument?

Ripley/Ricardo: Ripley 100%. he's been holding a grudge against Ricardo for the last 7 years. he became a supervillain about it and everything. Ric doesn't even know he did anything wrong. His crime is "assuming Ripley was dead for extremely normal and believable reasons". Ripley is holding this against him for ten million years, along with everything else he's ever said or done that has pissed Ripley off. ....Hopefully this will get better by the time the two of them start actually dating.

Teo/Al: Neither of them are terribly likely to hold a grudge against each other after an argument! YAYYY RELATIVELY HEALTHY COMMUNICATIONNNN‼️‼️‼️ If you give Teo enough time and space to cool down after an argument, she'll be fine about it, and Al only tends to hold grudges if she is avoiding talking about something that bothered her, and Teo doesn't do a lot of things that bother Al <3

Al/Judas: Judas always and forever. It doesn't even matter what the argument is about. Whatever came up during the argument is going right in his back pocket to be dished out the next time they argue. It's a never ending cycle. It's how he wins every fight. Or at least how he feels like he does.
