I’ve decided to make my own rewrite of alternate Gabriel and put him in a new original story, in light of recent events

[Warning: long post]

Basically, Gabe (as he is now called) is the subject of a painting created by an artist who unknowingly has the power to bring his artwork to life. Gabe loved it when his creator called him the most beautiful thing he’d seen and when the artist moved on to other projects, the painted angel basically went mad with jealousy.

Breaking free from his canvas, Gabe began corrupting the artist’s other paintings, turning them into twisted, monstrous images. When the horrified artist saw what was happening, he decried Gabe as a monster. Heartbroken and furious that his creator rejected him, Gabe killed the man and used his blood to create a new painting; a portrait identical to his dead creator, one that would be eternally loyal to him.

Gabe’s second in command, simply known as Edward (an expy of Six/the Intruder), still retains the skills of an artist and the mysterious powers he possessed before his murder. He creates more disturbing minions for his master, all while passing them off as ‘horror art’.

The vast majority of these art pieces fall into the hands of an eccentric rich man named Zekiel Thomson, who adds them to his vast collection. This guy’s so rich he has his own private art gallery that he shows off to all his wealthy socialite friends. After installing the ‘horror art’, however, things begin to take a turn for the worse.

First, mysterious music is heard in the night; the sickly sweet sound of a harp and the operatic voice of an angel. The last person to awaken to its sound is found dead the next day, mutilated and - most disturbingly - with a significant amount of blood missing.

As more and more of these mysterious murders unfold, Zekiel is plagued by nightmares in which Gabe’s demonic underlings are tormenting him. He resorts to hiring a detective named Vincent Truman, who’s something of a theology/occult enthusiast.

The main framing sequence of the story is told through Vincent’s notes on the case, as he goes from being sceptical of Zekiel’s credibility to finding himself in a tangled web of mass murder and blood magic, to standing face to face with the devil himself, The Painted Angel, Gabe.

I haven’t yet decided on a title for this story, but I quite like the sound of The Painted Angel. The Peculiar Case of Zekiel Thomson is another potential title, although it is a little wordy.

Also I decided to set the whole thing in England bc that’s a pretty good place for haunted paintings and unexplained phenomena. Adds a gothic feel to the whole thing too.

Kinda toying with the idea of frequently switching between different POVs between chapters but I don’t want it to get confusing. I guess that once I have the entire story mapped out it should be fine.

There’s going to be recurring themes of facing one’s inner demons, unprocessed trauma and self worth. Elements of the horror game Layers of Fear, an old Victorian story titled The New Mother, Skinamarink and Motion Picture Soundtrack by Radiohead are also going to be worked into the project.

I haven’t yet decided if this is going to be a straight up novel or a comic yet. My ability to draw is…inconsistent at best. I feel like the story might work better with some accompanying visuals, though.

But yeah that’s my thoughts so far. I have had bits and pieces of this project in my drafts for a while but I had no idea what to do with it. I think this could probably tie it all together.

Now I need to get some sleep bc I am exhausted. Lmk what you think of this idea and feel free to suggest any potential titles.

Au lore time! So I looked at the movie Unfriended and thought of "What if it was my trolls instead" So boom! I also drew a Fnf concept with it!

Tw for attempted sui-, Body horror,Bullying and slight gore

Raven was exposed for a embarrassing video and went missing which others thought she...yeah or got taken so it's unknown what happened to her.

So Leroy,Chris,Pyro,Gabe,Twister and Legion join a group chat with a "glitch" in the background which later the "glitch" types to them and begins to expose them one by one.

Starting with Pyro which later he was seen next to a thing of bleach and his phone as Leroy tried calling him only to see the phone move meaning the still image in front of them wasn't a image before cops and ambulance called and took him to the hospital

Then later Gabe is next and has a hidden camera in his room, he finds it and then the chat disconnects before showing that Gabe is attacked and killed by the "glitch"

Next was the "Glitch" forced them to play Never have I ever and exposed there secrets, the biggest one was Chris was exposed for dating Raven after Legion confessed to him that he wanted to ask her out and loved her which Chris went behind his back which Raven didn't know at all.

Which Leroy and Chris got a paper saying that if they show it the other will die(there actual brothers in the au then being brother figures in the au) which Legion then tells Leroy that if he doesn't show it, Legion would expose Leroy about something himself which without hesitation he shows it and Chris gets attacked.

Next is Twister as he hides in the bathroom which Leroy calls for help by calling random numbers which is to late as Twister gets strangled by the "Glitch"

Next is the confrontation between Leroy and Legion as the "Glitch" is obviously revealed to be non other than Raven :] as she asks them in a text who posted the video as Legion had no idea about anything about it before Leroy goes behind his back and dm's Raven that Legion did it and he is attacked.

Now Leroy being in hysterics trys to show her old images of there friendship and how he loved her(platonically) before she showed him the full video, They were at a party when all got drunk but Raven was out of it and on the ground being a mess, that's when it's revealed, Leroy recorded her in this state and posted it which when she begged for it to be taken down she was ignored which then caused her to go missing.

Which Raven found a company that made it were if you were bullied and needed help sign up, and in her desperate state she agreed only to be given ability to be a virus and a monster which unfortunately she did and her anger and depression got to her she became a monster and turned everyone else into monsters(there appearance and fates being unknown)

Except Legion as Raven learned Legion was completely innocent and had no idea which she made it seem she did but only did it to make Leroy confess which happened.

Now knowing the truth, Leroy's two faces personality shows as the real monster was him as Raven then confronts him and it ends with her jumping at the camera at him.

The end of the au! LOL

Pretty dark but DANG this au was fun to talk about and draw!

4. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

(he's supposed to be a ghost bc yeah gabe's dead lmao but for this purpose let's pretend he's back as a ghost. specifically for this interview)

Writing below the cut!

(context: that's craig in the background! yes, the robot! the one that is my pfp! in order to save craig's life, his consciousness is transferred into gabe the human's body, who is also dying! it was a terrible decision gabe's friends had to make! do they save gabe? or do they save craig the robot? spoiler-- gabe's too far gone and so they end up saving craig and he now has to navigate life with a human body! and theo is part of the group that did the procedure. theo and craig hate each other and annoy each other like siblings. their conflict comes from the fact that craig is now in place of gabe-- theo unfairly hates craig for "replacing" his good-natured, sweet friend; craig hates theo right back because of how unfairly he's treating him-- it's not like craig asked them to save his life.)

"I think I might've wanted to be a race car driver when I was a kid," Gabe says, crossing his legs at the ankles. He smiles pleasantly as he recalls the fond memory. "Yeah... I grew up watching a lot of F1, thought it'd be cool to have my own car, have a team. That was when I was really little. As I grew up I realized I didn't want to be the racer at all-- I wanted to be the one maintaining and building the cars!"

He turns solemn, and he looks down at his hands that he's twiddling in his lap.

"That is, until the Wipeout."

The room's atmosphere grows heavy.

After a moment, Gabe looks back up at you, smiling again, as though his gleeful demeanor never left. "Once the Wipeout hit, I realized I wanted to do more than just work on cars. I wanted to help people. Save lives. So I enlisted in the Rule's--" He bites his tongue. You lean forward, pressing him to continue the sentence.

"Um... The Rule's Medical Corps. Yep. To help save robots and humans alike after the Wipeout." He starts to pick at the skin around his nails-- a nervous tick you can't help but notice. He's not a very good liar.

"Anyway... Yeah... I wanted to be an F1 driver when I was a kid."

(gabe became part of a secret science org under this world's government that was shady af. im still not entirely sure what the true purpose of it is yet, but he was tricked (along with theo, aysha, and jackie) into joining under the false pretense of being able to save human lives with robot parts and vice versa. hence how they're able to shove craig's idiot robot self into gabes human body!)

3. What genre would your OC do badly in but it would be hilarious or interesting to watch?

Simon: White collar or medical drama. He's too much of a hurricane of a character for that sort of thing, and I think the bureaucracy would make him explode. It'd be super interesting to watch him argue with everyone though. Take a shot for every time he gets escorted out by security.

Gabe: This one is tricky because I feel like Gabe is adaptable enough to work out in a lot of different settings. I think that an absolute no-go would be family-friendly media and/or things made for kids because he'd swear way too much and plant a lot of bad ideas in peoples heads.

KZM: Slice of life anime. Please for the love of god, take a moment and imagine this with me.

4. What media does your character enjoy?

Simon: Unironically, I think he'd really enjoy shit like how it's made or forged in fire. Or those woodworking shows where someone just calmly makes a table. Sit him down in front of that for a while and maybe he'll chill out a little bit, it's like a cat sensory video for him. I feel like Simon would also watch competition shows and just yell at the fucking screen the entire time.

Gabe: Reality TV shows, horror, and tabloids. The trashier the better. Also into documentaries about history or niche subjects.

KZM: Recordings of lectures -- Imagine a Youtube video of someone going through a powerpoint with the shittiest audio quality you could imagine. He would be the type to put something like that on in the background while he works on other things. The drier and more academic it is, the more he'll probably like it. If you try to make him listen to a podcast with a sponsor segment, he'll kill you with a brick.
