I didn't remember doing all that this year !

Thanks a lot to everyone who's been following me through this journey. 2023 was one of the worst year of my life but also one of the best weirdly so let's hope 2024 will be better for everyone ♥

below the cut I'll put the link and explanations for each edit

1/ The Moonlight/Moonwood Tales concept : Based on the lore that came with the werewolves pack, I imagined a story that would explain everything between the werewolves, vampires and spellcasters. I actually prepared a plan for season 1 ... Maybe I'll post it next year ?

2/ The stories I planned for this year but so far, only Melodia is still going. DH3 will start next year sadly and Another Side has been cancelled because of lack of time and a bad computer.

3/ Aïssa in the city : a special photoshoot/lookbook with some items I love and also a small interview including infos about DH2 and 3. It's also a way for me to show more about Aïssa's modeling life. The title is also a reference to the upcoming spin-off about her ...

4/ The DH3 women and the DH3 gang because I want you to love them when the story will start !

5/ The EDGEWAVE fest organised by @aniraklova ♥ It surely was my favourite event this year ! What an awesome idea it was and a lot of people did amazing stuff during 2 weeks ! You saved our summer for sure ! I used Candy Bher as a reference to Another Side and MOON who's a character in DH3 ...

6/ Toxic Don ! A potential new Another Side story I've been thinking about years now ... It would be fun !

7/ The Ghostface DH3 edits : It's a reference to DH3 and Scream of course; the plot will be a tribute to Wes Craven actually !

8/ The Melodia musical video part : it actually was awesome and fun to create but it took me an entire month just for this little video. I decided to stick to a more boring regular way to post this story. I also don't have a lot of readers so far so I guess they will forgive me. I still see it as one of my biggest achievement here though so check it if you can ^^ I love how the episode turns into a musical movie

9/ @windbrook's Slashed Challenge : it was one of my favourite CAS challenge of all time ^^ I'm a huge slasher fan ! It was perfect for simblreen and people created awesome characters and stories !

10/ A makeover of the Three Sages that comes with Realm of Magic : Ana Mae is actually an original OCs, they all should appear in DH4 and 5 ... Morgyn should be very important in DH4 actually ...

11/ URBZ Mag DH3 edition ! Get the girls part here and the boys part there ♥ I love doing fake interviews and mag covers ! Sorry not sorry

12/ Valentines day ♥ My favourite is the one with the Destiny, Leïla and Aïssa because it's funny and feminist, what this trio is together ! They surely had a great night that day, it's also supposed to happen after Melodia so ...

13 / Franck and Madame Sophie : the first drag sims I create ! I wanted one for the Aïssa spin-off so I guess it will be them :)

14/ Recent edits I like : Maria Perron for @birdietrait's coven (I love her and I'd love to make a little story about her) / An other Another Side new idea focused on Venessa Jeong / Destiny's last portrait for the ocs associations

15/ My favourite gif coming from Another Side Episode 1 : I think it's the best ending for this episode as it shows all the plots and times together. Everytime I see it I want to get back to the story ...

Hello guys, gals, nonbinary pals, and every other lovely person in this community! The time has come for your (second) favorite challenge! Thanks to you all for voting on the polls, this challenge is a little different than previous years despite some of the winners but we hope you’ll still enjoy!

This challenge is for LGBTQ+ ocs only... hence why it’s called the pride challenge.

Royal Chambers, Cordonian Palace 

It was an early Tuesday morning and Riley was taking full advantage of the terrace overlooking the gardens. Sipping her coffee, she relished her quiet time. 

It’s Valentine’s Day.  

...and today, her focus will be on her family. 

Starting with baking home-made chocolate chip cookies that were now cooling on the counter. Promising to help Ellie with her Valentine gift for her father, she made one of the cookies into a giant heart for her to create and decorate her gift for Liam. The royal kitchen prepared 3 colors of royal icing for the princess to help her complete her decorating project. 

For Liam, Riley has a surprise romantic dinner planned on the royal yacht tonight. A surf and turf feast with all his favorite dishes, prepared by the chef, cruising under the moonlight. 

They had been planning a trip to Monterisso since finding out about the possible missing sister/fugitive, ‘Lena.’ The timing could not be more perfect for sailing, rather than flying to the island. Leo was already there with Amalas; Leo being the King’s representative involved with the search led by Interpol. 

“Mm mm... what have we got here?” The sound of Liam’s deep groan caught her attention. 

Riley turned to look inside the kitchen and saw him take a bite into a cookie. 

“Hey, you,” she walked into the kitchen, smiling. 

“Is this for me?” He grinned, staring at the huge heart she made. 

“Yes! Yes, it is.” Riley smiled wide at his expression. Shaking her head, “it is part of Ellie’s Valentine gift for you. Do not touch, not yet!” 

“Ellie wants to surprise you at lunch after your meeting by personally delivering it to you in your study.” 

“This is my favorite kind of cookie," he said, reaching to grab another before turning back to her. “I’ll take care of these. You go finish your breakfast.”  

“Ha, ha, your majesty,” Riley chuckled. Don’t take too many cookies back to your study with you.” 

“Oh, and love.... bonne saint valentin a l’amour de ma vie.” Liam lifted her hand to kiss and then twirled her around. Riley reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, and whispered, “buon san valentino all’amore della mia vita,” followed by a deep kiss.

“Happy Valentine’s Day, Drake!” Delaney rolled underneath the bed sheets to her side to face her boyfriend coming out of the bathroom after his shower. His eyes were closed, and she smiled at how cute he looked with his wet hair sticking up all over his head and a towel wrapped around his waist. He opened his eyes and gave her a grin.  

Walking to the bed, he bent down to whisper, “hey baby,” wrapping his arms around her and kissing her lips. Delaney smiled up at him as she laid there feeling safe and secure with the man she loved. 

“I love you,” she told him as he kissed her again. 

Drake sighed happily, “I love you too. Happy Valentine’s Day.” 

He pulled himself away from her and headed towards the closet. 

“Wait, what are you doing?” Delaney asked playfully as she watched him pull out his boxers from the drawer.

“Well, I thought that since you came out of the shower wearing nothing but your towel,” Delaney replied teasingly.  

Drake smiled back at her as he sat down on the bed next to her. He reached under the sheet to pull her bottom close to him. “And how do you know I wasn’t wearing anything?” 

Delaney blushed. “Umm...well...” She looked away, embarrassed. 

“Well, what?” he asked again, playing along with her. 

“Well, you know I didn’t see much of you last night.” 

Drake laughed. “I’m sure there was plenty to see.” 

He looked down at Delaney's expression and she did not look happy. “Are you flirting or starting a fight?”  

“A little bit of both?” Delaney replied frustrated. 

“Drake, it's the best answer I can give you right now. 

It is Valentine's Day! I thought you could stay home today with me, but instead you are going out.” 

“Baby, after the council meeting, I am coming right back here with your Valentine gift.” Drake replied with a grin.

King’s Study, Cordonian Palace 

“Are you ready, princess?” Riley asked Ellie as they walked hand in hand down the hallway to deliver Liam’s valentine gift. 

As they approached his door, the royal guards bowed. 

Ellie raised her hand and tapped. When she heard her father's voice say, “come in,” a royal guard opened the door for Ellie and Riley. 

“Daddy!” Ellie rushed in and went around his desk. Liam picked her up and placed her on his knee.  

“Well, hello princess,” he said, smiling at her. 

“Oh Daddy, Happy Vawindines Day! I brought you a present.” Ellie handed him the giant heart-shaped cookie she had personally decorated. 

Liam kissed her cheek, “Happy Valentine’s Day, my little love. Thank you so much, will you help me eat it?” 

Ellie nodded excitedly as he placed the giant cookie on his desk. 

Riley was watching the exchange between the two of them as she sat down on the sofa. 

Liam looked over at Riley and winked. 

“Princess, I have Valentine's Day presents for you and mommy, too.” 

Her eyes lit up and she clapped her hands. 

“Tonight, after your lesson, we are going on a boat. That is where I put them. And guess where we are going on that boat?” 

Ellie furrowed her brows, and asked, “where, Daddy?” 

“To visit Micaela in Monterisso.”

Royal Yacht, enroute to Monterisso 

After getting Ellie settled into her bed for the night, Riley changed into her evening cocktail dress. 

As the servers placed platters of crab legs, scallops, and calamari on the table, the chef set down individual plates of steak and lobster for each.

The music played softly in her ears as she walked out onto the deck after dinner. Standing there, she felt like she was floating on air. A smile spread across her face when she felt Liam’s hand gently stroke her bare back. 

“You look so beautiful tonight, my Queen,” he whispered, as he leaned forward for a kiss. 

“Thank you,” Riley deepened the kiss. 

“Come dance with me,” he said, taking her hand. 

As they moved effortlessly to the music, Delaney watched from the window, sitting at the dining table inside. It was the most romantic setting she had ever seen. 

“What are you thinking about?” Drake asked her, but he was fairly sure he already knew. 

“It must be hard being married to a King. But Riley makes it look so easy.” 

“Well, Riley is an incredibly unique woman.” Drake said in reverence. 

Delaney raised an eyebrow, waiting for Drake to continue. 

Riley noticed Delaney watching them, as the song ended. 

“Let us join Drake and Delaney inside, we still have dessert to eat.” Riley smiled as Liam kissed her hand. 

“After you, love,” Liam gently turned Riley to go inside. 

As Liam went inside to sit down at the dining table, Riley met with the chef to begin dessert service. 

“Delaney, I hope you are enjoying yourself.” Liam enquired. 

“I am. I have never been on a yacht before.” 

“Li, this is a 5-star resort on water. Thank you for including Delaney and I on this cruise.” 

“Oh yes, especially on Valentine’s Day,” Delaney exclaims. 

Riley smiled. “No problem, we are happy you could join us.” 

As the servers set their desserts in front of them, Liam squeezed Riley’s hand. “My love, you always indulge me.” 

Delaney took her first bite of the baklava, “this is delicious.” 

Drake grins at Liam and lifts his glass to propose a toast. 

“To great food and good friends.”

As the evening progressed, Liam and Drake moved to the outside deck to discuss the game plan on the search for Lena.  

While Riley and Delaney went to the lounge area of the yacht. 

Both women being American, shared that commonality, but moreover, Riley wanted Delaney to feel comfortable in Cordonia. Since Liam and Drake are best friends, Delaney will be included with Royal court functions that Drake attends. 

“So, how did you meet Drake?” Riley asked, as she sipped her infused sparkling water. 

“We were in college together, about 10 years ago, at the University of Houston. I really liked him, so when he left to come back here, I tried to stay in contact, but I lost touch with him.” Delaney explained. 

“That must have been difficult for you. How did you eventually find him?” Riley asked. 

“I went to student services and found his forwarding address information. I kept trying to get in contact with him hoping he would remember me. He finally called me one day and it turned out that we reconnected after all those years.” Delaney sighed. 

“Yes, you were here at Halloween last Fall.” Riley smiled. 

Delaney grinned, “yes.... he was so sweet!” 

“Now, let’s talk about you. Drake told me that you had some very bad experiences when you came to Cordonia. 

Riley laughed, “where do I begin?” 

Drake murmured to Liam, “should I be worried?” Liam replied, “man, you are so screwed.” His laugh bellowed and Riley looked up to him with a smirk, hearing his comment. 

As Liam and Drake walked inside the yacht, they both took notice of the blossoming friendship of Riley and Delaney.

Blind Dates Festival FAQ

What is Blind Dates, anyway? Blind Dates is a festival/challenge that celebrates creating and writing original characters! The guiding principle is to do something new, and possibly challenging, and to serve as writing practice. It can also be a low-stakes excuse to try out a new character in a fandom you don't usually work in in a small and manageable way.

Do I need to sign up? Nope! This fest is designed to be low-stakes and informal. There's no penalty for thinking this was a great idea a few months ago and not having time or energy now.

How do I participate? Using the method of your choice (random generator, dart board, tea leaves, plain old brainstorming, et cetera) find a name and character concept for a new-to-you original character and a scenario to introduce them in. Then, write a short (1000-2000 words) snippet that introduces them inside the fandom property of your choice. The idea is to provide a compelling moment that makes the reader want to know more about this person.

You may publish your finished piece on the site of your choice and provide a link to the blind-dates-fest blog. Throughout the Valentines Day Weekend, we will publish all of the submissions for you and your fellow participants to read and reblog. If you publish your piece here on tumblr, you must use a read-more or we will not reblog it to the fest blog.

Why would I want to do this? The idea is to practice introducing new characters in a memorable and compelling way. This character might be something for your next project, or just a way to get an idea out of your head! Maybe you’d don’t often (or ever) write OCs - Blind Dates is a low-stakes way to try it out.

Which fandoms can I use? Any fandom you like! In 2023, 7 different fandoms were represented in submissions.

Can I make a graphic for my character? A graphic can certainly be included in your fest submission, but remember, the purpose of this challenge is to focus on the writing.

I’m not a writer - can I still participate? The purpose of this challenge is as a writing exercise. If you’d like to create a moodboard, graphic, gif, or a drawing of a character, that’s fine, but it should accompany a written scene to introduce the character in a compelling way.

Are there limited spots available? Nope - this is open to anyone who enjoys the challenge of coming up with a new character from scratch! Most participants are here because they like the unique challenge this presents!

Can I do more than one submission? I have a lot of good ideas. There's no limitation on how many characters you can work on or submit, but remember, this is about quality, not quantity.

Do I have to be following you or anyone else to participate? Nope! Although following the @blind-dates-fest blog will mean you get to see your submission and read everyone else's.

Are these judged? Is there a prize? There is no judging, nor is there a prize for participation apart from bragging rights.

Will I gain more followers or traction? To be completely honest - no, probably not. I like to think of this as a networking event, more than anything else. You get an excuse to write something new and small and manageable, and other people get a chance to read some new and small and manageable things. Maybe you'll meet someone else whose writing you really admire! Maybe you'll get an idea for a new project! I can't promise or guarantee anything in this regard. I want to stress that this challenge is to come up with a new character, not 'advertise' an existing one. If that's your only reason for thinking about participating, this may not be the event for you.

⚝ dottore x oc / reader if you can ignore my OCs physical description

⚝ pre-relationship, mostly some kind of fluff, angst if you squint at the end, written for valentines 2023, some descriptions of blood and violence but nothing too graphic. posted on ao3 too! wc: 2.2k aprox

Valentines day is known as the day where love is in the air, where everyone also celebrates their Archons love, even if it's frozen forever.

However, in the castle this is like any other day, everyone works just as much as yesterday and tomorrow, some people gift each other chocolates, yes, but the work never stops, the only person who celebrates this holiday fully is Her Majesty's daughter, gifting her unusual little family of harbingers some of the finest chocolates in all the land, some of them even imported from all over Teyvat. Theres a singular person who receives special treatment apart from Tsaritsa, and it's the one who absolutely despises these "holidays", and spends it holed up in the labs, Dottore.

It's not that he hates it per se, it's the fact that he was almost never included sincerely, he had received chocolates during his akademiya days but it was all people that whenever they got to meet the reality disappeared from his life or started to alienate him.

He really didn't expect the turn that day took, well, he should have since he knew from what the segments experienced, some day the girl was going to do a bold move, he just wasn't expecting her to do it so soon.

Vera hummed a Snezhnayan lullaby as she walked from her office to the harbingers ones, handing in little baskets with chocolate arrangements, varying from extra sweet, white and pink ones for her dear auntie Columbina, to dark concentrated bitter for the Balladeer who almost looked at her like she was pulling a prank, until she flipped one of the tags and he saw it was bitter and not sweet. Pantalone received exotic fruits from all over Teyvat covered in chocolate, ideal for his teas, and in exchange the man shot her a suspicious glare as if the were poisoned. Sandrone didnt like chocolates so she arranged a bouquet of mondstatian flowers, Pulcinella never accepted her gifts, and Capitano rejected only the chocolates, so she resorted to gift him weaponry she caught whenever she is raiding big fishes or finds them in her victims. This year Arlecchino was in the orphanage managing things so she sent her gifts there with all sorts of new knives and snacks. She avoided Pierro like the plague, either way the man didnt want her gifts, and she didnt think he really deserves any.

The only basket left in her office was a slightly bigger one than the rest, full of Sumerian snacks, ruin drake cores, and all sorts of poisonous plants carefully sorted in little jars, labeled in Vera's penmanship. This year she was going to make her advances towards the resident madman, the challenge would be finding Prime, and avoiding the segments with their questions or teasing, hardly happens but its a possibility. 

Picking up the basket, she exited her office and started her way towards the basement labs thinking about his reaction, usually she gave her gifts to the first segment she came across, to be delivered to Prime, so this was going to be a completely new experience.

The jars clinking were the only sound heard in the deserted corridors, almost no one frequented this place for fear of catching the man in a bad mood and ending as a lab rat, so she was sure he was already aware of someone coming, the imposing metal doors at the end growing in size. It was a good thing she wasn't really nervous, just curious, as she stopped in front of them and raised a hand to knock on it. Knock knock. Silence engulfed the space, no sound coming from behind the doors. Vera knocked once again and still no response. Opening the heavy door, the space was littered with half finished weapons, there was a corpse laying in a bed impossible to miss for her even with a large cloth over it, and a lot of things she had never seen. There was a wooden door in a corner, probably his office, once again the jars clinked as she walked and shifted the basket in her hands. Looking around, carefully dodging papers and machinery pieces on the floor, she made her way towards the door, and knocked twice firmly, suddenly, nervousness overtook her, but it was too late for backing down, so she waited, until a muffled voice said "Come in".

Breathing in, she pushed the door open, and gently closed it once inside the room. "Good afternoon Doctor." she paused, looking at the man who was still reading some papers "I wanted to give you your Valentines gift, if you are so kind as to accept it. ". The man now was looking at her, she didn't see his eyes, but felt his gaze trying to pin her in her place. "My, this year I'm graced by the Innamorati herself in the flesh", standing up, and circling the desk covered in strewn papers. "I'm not here as Innamorati, but as Vera." she looked at the basket in her hands. 

"And what is Vera doing this year here in my office?" He paused, still analyzing the woman, trying to make her crack and show fear to no avail, her strawberry colored hair shining pale in the artificial lights, "Usually some segment comes around with a basket of snacks, why the change of heart, sweetie?" he sat on the surface of the desk, letting out a sardonic laugh "don't tell me that some segment treated you badly, Tsaritas precious gem".

"No, Dottore, no segment treated me badly", she raised her eyebrow, annoyed, "Cant I bring you personally a gift now?". Now this was interesting, if he was going to play it like this, she was going to go lower. The little important detail is that she couldn't play like she wanted to in unknown territory, and damage was done letting her annoyance show, she just couldnt slip back into sweetheart without the Second taking note of it. "Either way I thought a little walk hurts nobody", she looked around, "unless I'm interrupting your important work" gripping the handle, she started to bounce on her feet lightly. "I hope this basket is to your liking, there's some… things in there, see it for yourself", she walked towards the desk, and put it over a pile of papers, balancing precariously. He was still looking at her, silent, no trace of emotion about the gift anywhere, until suddenly, he smiled, all pointed tooth on display,  this was the closest Vera got to him in her whole life, and she already wanted to feel his blood on her hands, caress his organs and taste just a drop of his blood. Her eyes darkened, and the usual bloodlust that surrounded her started to make itself known, but he had no opportunity to catch this as she immediately closed her eyes and turned her head to look at him, "I really hope you accept this gift, I would hate for the belladona i carefully collected to go to waste," a pause, letting him butt in if he wanted to, but cutting him, "Unless I can offer you to be myself the belladonna, specifically yours, don't you like to play with toys, Doctor?" a manicured hand came up swiftly, like dancing, to rest over where his heart should be. "I sure like to play myself with some hearts, literally speaking" She then traced the point of the birdlike mask, "after all I only have eyes for one person" carefully measured words were all she had in mind, thats what working closely with pantalone gifts you.

Dottore let her get closer, it was entrancing how the innocent look she had was betrayed by the sudden hunger in the acidic green pools, made him wonder how far he could drag it out, the innocent devotee with bloodlust. Naturally he knew about Vera having interest in him, Pantalone never shut up about it, how the snake's eyes followed him every time they were all reunited in the throne room, or they crossed paths in his office. But true to his nature, he was going to come out with the lower hand, if she was stooping to his level, might as well go lower and send the little cute snake back into the bushes. He was still smiling maniacally, and when her finger reached the point of the mask, he pushed against her finger, half raising it, letting a piercing red eye look at her directly, “Oh? Do you?” Something dangerous twinkled in that gaze, his only visible eye narrowing “Do I know them? Him? Her?” he lightly pushed off her hand, but didnt let it go, his other hand coming to fix the mask over his face once again, as if she hadn't just seen for the first time in her life Prime Dottores face. “Maybe your uncles need to know about them, after all, you’re the princess of the land”, he looks at the basket, “Should you really be gifting these things to me and not your beloved?”. 

Oh, so that was the game he wanted to play, “I don't know, do you?” Her free hand touched her chin in a pensive gesture, now that she knew the general place in which his eyes were, she was looking straight at him. “As for the gifts, I would be really sad if the things my assistant brought aaaalllll the way from Sumeru and went through all the trouble that is avoiding the forest rangers nagging went bad” Her hand brought up a vial full of kalpalata lotus petals between them, placing them back in the basket, and then taking out some chaos bolts, making them spin in a bubble made with her vision, "I can always give these parts to Sandrone to put them on Katya, and I'm sure 'Bina will always welcome the snacks from me" the bubble popped and the bolt fell on her hand, to be placed back in the basket, looking back at his eyes "Would you really make the Princess upset?" Her eyes turned glassy, but the void was always present, not even the fake moisture could give those orbs some shine, "What would Pierro say about it?" His lips twitched, he was about to crack and she will drink his reaction like the most expensive firewater in existence, all of it, to be remembered forever. She raised her hand to her forehead and put the final nail in the coffin, grabbing the wrist of his hand that still held her arm "Oh! Poor Vera! Dottore rejected the gift she made with all her heart and now she's sad and miserable, that good girl does not deserve that kind of harsh treatment!".

In a blink she was in previously Dottores place against the desk, his hand on her jaw, pressing her cheeks, the cold leather from his free hand contrasting with the warm one still holding her arm, and now it was her turn to grin mischievously, her next movements were slow, after all she was in a big disadvantage, and wasn't free from punishment if the Second saw it fit, even if it was to spite her. She raised her hand in surrender, but he was still holding her in her place, his anger filling the air with tension, "Okay, I get it, no Pierro then, I don't even like the man either way" her hand coming to disarm her vision at her hip, to enhance the point of no harm, she knew parting with her vision like that was dangerous, but she trusted him in a sick way of knowing he would not risk harm to her on behalf of her Mother. Vera risked losing her hand literally and once again put it over his heart, "I know you know, I'm sure Pantyman got a kick of getting on your nerves by telling my business, two birds one shot" she rolled her eyes, "As I said when I first came, I just wanted to bring the gift myself this year instead of sending it through Omega who frequents the corridors of the offices doing all your socials" his hand relents and releases her, "give the man a break and go take some sun yourself, old man", she takes back her hand and pushes herself away from the desk  "maybe I want to sneak a glance without having to pester the resident mora snake when I catch wind of you being outside the basement".

Clipping back her vision to her belt, looking at the man that now towers over her; she fixes his mask that was crooked from the fast movement, and carefully fixes a stray strand of hair. Without saying anything else, Vera exits the office and makes her way to the corridors, leaving behind a very confused Dottore.

No ask game. I just want to know: How did you get into writing? Was it easy for you or was it something you had to work at?

Thanks for asking! This is going to be long, you have been warned.

So, about a few years ago, I was getting back into Naruto and decided to visit Naruto-related subreddits. I had also been thinking of funky ideas related to the series, but I was hesitant to write them. I never enjoyed writing for school projects, so I figured i just didn't like writing.

One of the subreddits was r/narutofanfiction, a subreddit specifically for Naruto fanfics, like the name says. This was in 2022, BTW.

I was mostly lurking on that subreddit until one time, I read a post that someone created. They had wanted help coming up with some cool titles for some OCs. We then had a little chat, and I said something like this. "Maybe I should write a fanfic sometime. I know I've got a bunch of ideas knocking around." The dude said that i should go ahead and do it.

I decided to write my first Naruto fanfic, which was a one-shot based on idea I had. It was called Returning Home, and it was about a former member of the Hidden Stone's Explosion Corps (he left due to losing a hand years ago) returning home from work. However, something horrific happens that leaves him in shock. Fun fact: the fic is VERY loosely based on a song called "Story 2" by the band Clipping. https://archiveofourown.org/works/41908419

While I was writing it, I had a thankfully mild case of CVID, but I still stayed home. I think that gave me extra motivation.

Anyways, I later made a post asking for fics about the Ame Orphans, and sparked up a conversation with a commenter. They were kind enough to beta read the one-shot, and they told me that I had to wait a few days for an AO3 invite. So, I did my editing while I waited.

It was a long while before I started regularly writing after that. I had a fic idea that involved a scientist OC with an original kekkei genial who escaped from the Hidden Sound with some allies, and they stole Orochimaru's Akatsuki ring. Then, they were supposed to work with the Akatsuki and the OC was supposed to be like a yandere for Deidara.

I put off writing it, and I had hated what i wrote, so it never went anywhere. Frankly, it was going to be an edgiest and deal with subject matter that I probably couldn't pull off tastefully, so i think it was for the best.

Now, I actually started writing regularly in 2023, when the r/narutofanfiction discord server posted a spreadsheet with a daily writing challenge. I decided to join, and I found it to be a great motivator.

My second fanfic, The Ame Orphans' First Valentine's Day (https://archiveofourown.org/works/45018589 ,) was inspired by a piece of fanart that I had commissioned from moonamayillu on tumblr (https://www.tumblr.com/moonamayillu/707530031815114752/commission-for-munchbell45-thank-you-so-much?source=share) .

I was working in the Valentine's Day section at my retail job, which made me crave art of the Ame Orphans giving each other Valentine's Day gifts. So, I commissioned moonamayillu and the art was so good that I decided to write a fic based on it. people liked that fic, so I kept on writing other fics.

TL;DR: Someone suggested that I write, so I did. I lost steam, but a daily writing spreadsheet on a Discord server motivated me to write, as well as some banger fanart that motivated me to write my second fic.
