Sebastiana, adopted daughter of Nuestra Señora de la Santa Muerte, Our Lady of Holy Death. She is as soothing, compassionate and protective as her mother. Character created by my friend @mythos321 for our story Protector.

This is one of my favorite designs I’ve ever made and the hardest I’ve worked on a piece in a while. I just kept wanting to add more and more to make her just right. I always take portraying the religions and mythologies my friends and I base ocs on very seriously, but I think especially for her as I’m a Methodist Christian and have been close to Christianity my entire life, as well as my mother being raised Catholic. I’m happy to actually be doing art again, I’ll be honest I’ve lost a lot of motivation in recent months and that scares me. Art is my entire life, I’ve done it seriously since I was 9 years old. I hope y’all like it!

I have multiple severely traumatized characters, and I have the urge to lore dump on their traumas. Ok, first is Zafor Orion Sendaris. (From Oh Worlds) Long story long, there are Three Fates: Fate, Mercy, and Cruelty.

Mercy and Fate are married, and Fate generally makes sure the timelines don't go boom. Cruelty, on the other hand, is Mercy's sibling and gets into so much trouble with the timelines. Both Fate and Cruelty mutually hate each other. Mostly because of their own shit (Cruelty essentially messing up the timelines so much by adopting a whole bunch of traumatized people, and originally being the villain of Fate's story.)

so Fate decides to curse on of Cruelty's Wards after Cruelty essentially broke Time.

(Now back to Zafor

In the original timeline, Zafor lead a genocide. There were originally five clans, but the fifth was exiled. The Voltaris Clan was driven into the mountains, where they starved, died, and were hunted by the other four clans who sent teams, lead by Champions. Zafor's original name was Thalleous. And he was a Champion. But he fell in love with a voltaris clan member, Tygren. That's when the timeline diverged. And that's when Fate cursed Thalleous. And his beloved eventually forgot everything. Mostly because of a curse set by Fate. Well, curses. Thalleous has three curses, hanahaki, Aeternum Sakit, and Silence. Months later, Thalleous was found in a cave, in his last moments before death by his beloved.... And they still don't remember. He died by his beloved's hand. Cruelty, is understandably, pissed. Because Fate did more than just curse Thalleous. Fate essentially broke Thalleous' soul beyond repair.

So a bit of blackmailing the Creator of the timeline Divergence (aka Tori, aka, me), Cruelty managed to persuade the Queen Regent to remove the worst part of the curses, the part where Thalleous would die no matter what, and place the soul in a new timeline. that timeline, is Oh Worlds. and what I just told you was only the prequel. Now on to Pre-Oh Worlds, and in that time Thalleous has:

lived life almost the same as the original timeline, before getting his flipping heart ripped out by a Hunter when he was nineteen to save a kid from the fifth clan. (in terms of general age, he ain't human). [Pre Oh Worlds, post Prequel]

His soul went to a Void like area where he went through hell and back in the form of glimpses.

Experienced five glimpses of the original timeline, in which the first glimpse was of him murdering a whole lotta people (aka, the bloodiest genocide raid), the second glimpse was the entire First Great War. It depends on how long the war was, but since he saw the entire war on both sides I'd say that took him 10-12 is years to see even if the war was like 5-20 ish years (Note that time works differently in this pocket dimension.) After that it took him several months in the dimension to recover. The 3rd were about the Voltaris's suffering 10 years before and after the war. It took him a month to recover. from that one. The 4th was the entire second great war. It took him 7 years to recover. The last one wasn't even a glimpse. It was all of the suffering and emotion and fear and anger and hatred from all of the previous glimpse it took a year in the dimension for that one. After all of that, Cruelty was finally allowed to see him, They hugged their son (fully adopted now). They told him that this is a possible future. What he does depends on him. And that they're sorry for what he had to go through. And then he wakes up under 6 ft of snow. With his markings black as void, his sword missing, he is now a Half dead (specific type of Undead, since his species (Ardoni) cant turn to zombies.). And it's been three years since he died for the first time. And his three curses from the previous timeline started to act up now.

Over the course of 40 years, he got a new prosthetic heart, he helped refugees from the fifth clan, changed his name to Zafor, gained way too many scars to even say "Tis but a scratch", safe guarded some powerful artifacts, lost one eye to an arrow, the other to some magic so he's blind now, got burned by acid, and an equivalent to a bomb+lightning, lost one horn with very sensitive nerves, almost was beheaded fully, got stabbed too many times, now he's covered in too many horrific scars that he had to use an illusion to appear normal. Also he's become suicidal cause he starts to remember the life from the Prequel, and I've essentially given him multiple centuries of trauma.

Now on to Oh Worlds! In the course of 5-6 ish books Zafor has:

gotten his heart ripped out like 4-5 times

Nearly killed himself because of course he starts falling for this timeline's Tygren, and they had a huge fight in book 5 which triggered a lot in Zafor and almost succeeds in drowning himself.

Has to take care of his time traveling family members who also has trauma. (more on Rain and Dia later)

Has guilt from nearly fully genociding the fifth clan in two timelines.

He's been suicidal for over 40+ years and he can't even talk to anyone about it because of the Silence curse (which takes away his voice if he tries to voice any of his pain, and I mean ANY AND ALL)

Aeternum Sakit means Eternal Pain (go figure)

Also he's a Half-Dead, and he's trying to unalive himself. It's already painful to unalive, and he's already half dead. So if he wants to unalive himself he has to go through so much pain.

But that's just Zafor, on to Rain.

Rain's story is essentially this:

His home was invaded by the undead, he got turned into a zombie, watched his girlfriend die. Then got revived. And now fights in the war. Then in one battle, he finds his ex, corrupted and fighting on the other side. In another battle with just him and half the army, he kills her, and she kills him. He got revived again, now he has a curse. With the help of his cousin (in my timeline), she lifted it. And the universe decided ‘fuck it’ and a portal opened a few hours later and out popped his time traveling kid.

He’s 19 btw and this all happened under half a year

From Rain, we go to Dia:

Since Dia is turning into an immortal, she Dia's story is compilcated. She was born by a Rebirth Nexus, an artifact. That reacts with blood. And her dad, Rain, (who was around 20ish something when he found her nexus), was almost dead. By his blood reacting with the Nexus, Dia was born. She straight up spawned. And in doing so, she saved her dad. (she also undead, she was a still born). But she's hunted down by Hunters. Sent after another person who was born of the same Nexus as her. Who is determined to destroy Dia's Worlds. She watched her dad die when she was one. she got adopted by Herobrine later, and then when she was eight, she watched him die by Hunters as well. then she made a portal out of panic, and the events of book one starts. (Anyway, after the events of book two, Dia starts to age slower. She starts to fight in wars. She is 18000+ by book Six. And she has a whole lot of trauma)

And Dia's cousin's friend (Breeze) also has trauma, she was experimented on for who know how long and she was like ten at the time.

But that's it for now. And it's mostly because of Zafor's Story that one friend of mine is trying to steal him away. But that's a story for another time.
