Rare DeeDee x Cole post!

There was a sports event at my school and I thought DeeDee fit in with the documentary crew! They would usually take photos of the games, but most importantly– Cole 😁

I don't have proper references yet, so i'll use some of my old/new art to showcase them

Current Era

Left: Tiara Lee / "Tee" (she/her)

Right: Devin Lee / "DeeDee" (they/he)

Tee is the eldest (human) out of any of the ninja, beating Kai by a few days. Though, she is the shortest out of everyone.

The siblings went on their seperate ways after living together for the majority of their childhood, escaping the hellhole they were born in by emotionally absent parents.

Tee works several odd jobs in Ninjago City, while DeeDee decided to travel around Ninjago, where they met with Cole.

Tee was introduced in S2, and pretty much helped around the Ninja whenever she could since she owes them.

She would then get an important role in S8 and forwards, being the first to discover Samurai X's identity (that being Pixal). She becomes Pixal's assistant and also occassionally stands in as Samurai X.

Tee has a huge crush on Skylor and did successfully asked her out in S6, but the timeline got reset so that never happened...

Love-hate relationship with Kai, I hope this draft explains their dynamic.

DeeDee meanwhile, had a romantic relationship with Cole that happened sometime pre-pilots, when Cole was studying in performing arts. They ran away together to travel around parts of Ninjago.

When Cole was recruited to be a ninja, they went through a Long-Distanced Relationship because DeeDee wanted to keep travelling. Only Wu knew about this.

They unfortunately broke up pre-S3 due to a big argument, that ends up with DeeDee leaving from Cole for the last time. (Yeah, he's going through a break up during S3. I think I made the love triangle worse.)

They would then meet again sometime pre-S11 when DeeDee went to visit his sister, coincidentally when Cole was helping Tee move stuff around.

After some shenanigans with Tee and the gang, the two make up and becomes close friends even right now! DeeDee then appears as a side character who would hang out often with Tee, Nya, or Cole.

Next-Gen

Charlie (Any pronouns)

Cole founds a baby sometime post-S10 and decided to take care of the lil buddy.

So around S11-S15 (Crystalized), Cole has a kid hanging around. Though due to missions being dangerous for a baby, is often left with Pixal, who Charlie sees as a 2nd parental figure.

Charlie also hangs out with Cole when he was being a farmer post-Crystalized. They have matching hats 🤠

Charlie's story is more drawn out sometime in the future, when she is old enough to be a ninja like her dad. The thing is, it has yet to be given. The main plot is her discovering why.

They're the oldest out of everyone in the next-gen universe, the youngest being the Jaya twins.

Has fake tattoos that matches with his dad.

Best friends with Lloyd's student, though slightly envies of both them and Jaya Twins. Completely smitten with Sunny though, who is Skylor's kid!

The Dino’s name is Oscar btw, he doesn’t have an actual reference page he’s just kinda there. And he is my favorite child.

It's my time to shine 😎 though it’s a bit late 💔 it’s aight though!

Cole and DeeDee are exes since pre-S3. They made up post-S10, when DeeDee was visiting their sister in Ninjago City.

DeeDee is best friends with Nya! They often talked about bikes, travels, and so much more. They have been friends since S1!

His relationship with his sister is... 50/50. He knows that she cares for him, but their past of constant moving out to find a home has affected his way of living. He missed her, but at the same time, is also scared of the reaction he's going to get after not visiting for so long.

While i'm at it, some BACKSTORY LORE!

They used to date when Cole was in Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts. They ran away together to travel around Ninjago.

When Wu recruited Cole to be a ninja, they went through a Long-Distanced Relationship because DeeDee wanted to keep travelling.

They did came back to visit from time to time like the Ninjago talent show where Cole got his true potential. Coincidentally sat next to Nya, so they also made a new friend that day. That is also the first time DeeDee indirectly met with Lou. It was nervewrecking (Lou is supportive btw).

S3 is just rough for both of them, with the love triangle stuff for Cole and DeeDee's sister being involved with the ninja.

I also have another OC named Tiara (Tee for short) who is DeeDee’s elder sister. She’s the first Ninjago OC i’ve ever made, yet I haven’t gotten around to explore her lore in detail. Though here are some stuff i thought about:

Lesbian !! She has a huge crush on Skylor since ToE (S4)

Managed to asked her on a date in S6, but then the timeline resets so back to pining!

Slanders Kai on the daily (affectionate) they're both the elder siblings of the group

Works odd jobs that changes every season since S2 (magician, janitor, technician, manager, waiter, etc.). Though, often seen hanging out with Dareth to help around.

She has a small arc during WotD (between S7-S8) in which she bonded with Pixal on her new identity as Samurai X. Tee was the first to know of Pixal's secret.

As a thank you, Pixal got Tee to help around Pixal in her job in pre-S11.

Contrary to what her sibling thinks, she is just glad that DeeDee comes back into the permanent home Tee prepared for the both of them.

These are mostly half-baked ideas i got. Hoping to explore them a bit more soon!

Additional notes:

Dated Cole up to S3, does reconcile post-S10. Whether or not their current relationship is romantic, it's optional. (Though sometimes, I like to think it's romantic. I want my OCs to be flexible in terms of plot relevancy!)

Travels around Ninjago a lot, so they usually appear on when convenient to the plot.

Younger sibling to Tee. Mostly compared to Jay and Lloyd by dearest sister.

If Tee's response is fight, Dee's response is flight. They often run away from their own problems, due to lots of reasons.

Will eat anything, even Cole's questionable cooking. However, Dee has a lower spice tolerance than Tee.

Good terms with Nya, often talks to her about his recent travels and motorcycle upgrades. Jay would often add into the conversation.

Terrified of Tee's pet jumping spider, Mono.

I like to think that DeeDee would hang out with Scott out of pure coincidence post-S12... like they are a bit similar to me.
