20 and/or 25 for the asks? :)
where would they like to be buried?
Catherina Hammond expects to be cremated since she was raised Andrastian, and it would pretty much fit her personal beliefs. After the life she's led she would be fine just– ceasing. She doesn't want a tomb, doesn't want her ashes sprinkled anywhere particular, doesn't want a testament of her presence after her life. She is absolutely at peace with the idea that she had her place in the world and now its over, her farm will belong to someone else and nor them nor she will have any responsibility keeping some sort of memory of her alive.
After leading the Inquisition and being the Herald more for less against her wishes, she's just fine with death being the last of her.
Moghrana Lavellan didn't expect to put a lot of thought into it, but after the revelation of Trespasser I think it would start to matter more to her. What happened to Solas and losing her valasslin brought her a lot of introspection to her relationship with the Dalish and what suddenly she realized she was on the brink of losing. She didn't have the best of relationship with her clan and it drove a wedge between her and her culture that Solas' ideologies more or less intentionally deepened, but once the dust settled she was ultimately left alone, with a number of regrets and fears.
The eternal life of Ancient Elves would feel very unnatural to her, just the whole idea of their beings being so untied to the material plane, to the point that death wouldn't possibly affect them would feel very inhumane to her.
Her studies on entropy, Keeper magics and necromancy brought her very close to the essential role of death in the circle of life, and how shifting the equilibrium had a precise price to pay.
Anyhow, all of this to say that dalish funerary practices –not necessarily in the burial vs cremation distinction, but more in the idea of the ceremonies and cultural meaning behind them, would matter more to her after all that happened.
She doesn't want to lose her connections to her people, the forest, the rot, the hallas, the circle of life. She would probably want to be buried/cremated amongst and accompanied by those things.
what did they plan for their life to look like before the events of the game happened?
Catherina Hammond was sent to templar training, but from there to say she had a plan is being maybe a bit optimistic. The situation in the order was already pretty murky, and it could be felt even between the recruits ranks and in Ferelden where the tensions were still pretty mild, so from there to say she had a long term plan I wouldn't know.
I think if she didn't made like, honest good friendships during this time her long time attachment to the templar order may not have come to be, there would have been just too little to hold on to, especially once the order claimed to act independently from the Chantry.
Ilsramel Cousland planned for travels I think. As the second child his role was supposed to be more diplomatic, probably married to some neighboring noble– although as a teen he may have fantasized to marry some nobility in the warm north, where he would happily live as a loyal and proud trophy husband.
Family was always a cornerstone for him, I think he planned to see his nephew grow, his brother becoming Teyrnir, marrying, having children of his own– if he was lucky enough being able to continue slacking off military training and duties.

templars - allied
Catherina was training to become a templar before the war, and wants to look for survivors amidst her friends and tutors. She allies with them, believing there is still good within the Order's people.
mages - conscripted
He is extremely suspicious of the Tevinters and is furious with the mages for allying with them. Driven by his feelings, especially after his return to the present, he conscripts them, but he does later make sure their needs and demands are heard as much as possible.
mages - allied
She doesn't want to deal with the templars, and would rather not deal with the rebel mages either. Humans made this problems themselves, and it's not her that needs to fix it. That being said, as a mage herself, she knows that the way she treats them will reflect on how the whole Inquisition sees her, and so makes a point that their freedom and skills are always respected.
mages - allied
Since the Circle her libertarian-leaning policies prioritized the idea of mages being able to rule themselves. As a part of the rebellion herself she wants to be able to allow the mages to prove they are a strong and peaceful faction that doesn't need to be feared or controlled.
templars - allied
After his sister and Carver sided with the templars in Kirkwall, he feels like it's now his turn to handle the responsibility of their actions. He doesn't know anything about magic, but templars he can understand, and he wants to help and do right by them.
templars - leashed
She naively trusted the mages to be able to handle themselves, despite the Tevinter situation, and prefered to deal with the templars, truly feeling like their Order has been corrupted and needs an outsider help to realize what it has become. She leashes them, hopeful to see them evolve under the Inquisition leadership.

19. Do they allow Cole to stay? If so, do they let him become more human or more of a spirit?
All my Inquisitors allow Cole to stay because I love him.
Catherina met him as she was trapped inside Envy's "dream", and at first she had a hard time trusting he wasn't part of the illusion and there to trick her. Before really understanding what he was, I think her second reaction was that he felt even younger than he looked, and, in a way, it weirdly soothed her. She had two brothers dying on her in the past, and he reminded her about them a little, even if unconsciously. She had been lost, and suddenly, she was a bit in control again, just enough to wonder if he was fine, just enough to already feel a bit protective of a mysterious ghost too-grown-child.
Once at Haven, well, she lets him stay, but her Templar training agrees with Cullen in thinking it cannot be safe, and it's not like she particularly trusts Solas' opinion on the matter either. He's clearly very opinionated about Spirits, and she doesn't really know what to think about that. Fade and magic are not her forte, and conversations with Solas even less so, but at least it gives the boy a name. "Compassion" sounds too good to be true, but Cole is sweet, gentle, timid, and desperate to help, and after he saved her life, accompanied her through some of her worst fears without judgement she can't really bring herself to doubt his intentions to be good, even if she doesn't agree with all of his ways. He is the first one to say that mercy killings were bad, and Catherina insisted on leaving the Maker to decide if the sick would survive or not.
That being said, she has a peculiar background because her adopted brother, before he died at the Conclave, was merged with a Spirit as well. That doesn't mean she necessarily trusts Cole, if anything she's even more aware of what he's capable of, and, well, he doesn't even have a human side to him, unlike Ilamar had, so it's not a situation she underestimates or pretends to understand.
In time she cannot stop to grow very close to him. He truly does remind her of the brothers she lost, even if he is distinctively other, and the little gestures he gifts her with, the scent of lilac in her room after a long day, her horse never lacking a daily, mysterious portion of carrots. She is grateful, deeply so, to have this.
She makes him more human, in part because Solas says not to, and they have that kind of relationship. But also because that Templar deserved judgment, not forgiveness for the sake of a good gesture, and certainly didn't deserve to forget. Catherina is a believer of scars being a reminder of having to do better the following time. If one forgets they got hurt to begin with, they are just bound to repeat their mistakes.
She cannot judge if being a spirit is better than being a human, and it's barely the point in her opinion. Spirits don't live, and she wants Cole to live, for as long as the Maker will have him.
Ilamar has been merged with a spirit of Love since he wasn't an adult yet, and it brought him all sort of complications in relating with others. He risked losing himself in people's emotions far too many times, a part of him constantly aching to fulfill and soothe at the expense of his own identity, and he decided he was over with it. It means that rather than letting himself being used for his sensitivity to love and other people's need, he just decided to use them for his own benefit instead. He borders on Desire way too often, as his yellowed eyes are proof of it, but it allowed him to keep himself in check, and it's what matters to him most.
So when Cole comes knocking at their doors he can tell the boy is other, but he doesn't really have the time to think about it.
Once they reach Skyhold, well, he rather prefers recruiting Cole than not knowing where he is. It was the same reasoning he applied to the Iron Bull and Dorian, after all, and he understands better than almost anyone what Cole’s deal is, or, well, what his nature implies. He still has no clue of how it came to be that a spirit took a body without possessing anyone, but he trusts Solas would have been able to tell if the spirit boy truly was too unstable to be.
Later he kind of grows to like the boy, even if their attitude towards their own nature are quite opposite and it shows in their early interactions. Ilamar has been wearing masks for years, and he confuses Cole greatly, despite the boy insisting he has a good heart, which in parallel exasperates Ilamar, who doesn't like Cole plucking at his thoughts.
He trusts Solas in making Cole more of a spirit. He doesn't want Cole stuck in an unpleasant limbo the same way Ilamar himself has been and still is. A spirit on its own is free, knows its purpose, is at peace. It's the better option, in Ilamar's opinion. Unburdened by the influence of others, by their expectations, a spirit just is the literal best it can possibly represent.
Kasimir doesn't mind the boy but Cole greatly confuses him to a point where it makes him truly uneasy. He doesn't fault Cole for it, he can tell he's a good guy, but as a dwarf, this whole thing is just of out his comfort zone. Additionally, Cole's behaviors hit Kasimir very intimately, in the way the boy moves, fidgets, behaves. Kasimir does many of those things himself, but also differently enough that Cole's own stims tend to drive Kasimir to a wall. He doesn't fault the guy, and he's happy Varric basically adopted the kid, but he's better at appreciating Cole at a distance.
Kasimir totally trusts Varric' input in raising the boy, -Maker, he has known the man since he was a young boy himself. Basically Cole is family now, and Kasimir thinks of him as a lanky sibling, just the type you kinda tend to ignore by staying in your own room until dinner is ready.
Asala had always been very close to spirits, not to the point Solas is, but she still felt a kinship to them in the years she spent traveling with her father and the Valo Kas, and many spirits helped her learn new magics and see things in the Fade. Her father taught her to be careful, but also to be free, and keeping an open mind had allowed her to grow curious and smart and eager.
Cole and her are quick to grow close, and Asala could hear him and Solas talk for hours. She makes him more of a spirit, even if she grows to miss a bit how he used to be before, despite Solas assuring her he is as happy he can be. Asala makes sure to keep seeking him out, and helps him in his interventions every time she can.

Worldstate 3
Magic, Knowledge and Blood
Warden : Malaad Surana (tag)
Class : Mage (Shapeshifter)
Pairings : F!Surana x Alistair (up to HLtA), F!Surana x Anders (after DAI)
Grew up in the Circle never knowing who her family was, quiet and timid and often prey to anxiety, she nonetheless became close to Conte Amell, Jowan, Anders and even Cullen.
Naturally tends to takes animal shapes in the Fade/in dreams, which usually keeps the attention of demons away, and is part of what makes her an excellent shapeshifter once Morrigan teaches her, even if her animal shapes tend to look uncanny if looked at close distance.
She frees Jowan during her incursion at the Redcliffe Castle; after Awakening they meet again and she offer him to stay as arcane advisor at Vigil's Keep.
Alistair stays with the Wardens and Anora is made queen.
Alistair does the ritual with Morrigan.
Malaad distrusts and disapproves greatly of the Wardens’ organization and need for secrecy, and she starts to study the taint and the Blight as soon as the Archdemon is defeated, trying to dismantle the need for Wardens to the root.
Meets with Anders again in Awakening, to the happiness and relief of both. They nurture their friendship back, and with it the inklings of love.
The Architect is spared.
Surana leaves some time after Awakening to start her research, and it’s after that that Anders leaves for Kirkwall.
Amell, Anders and her will hopefully meet again in the future.
Although never stopping mourning Alistair, she may eventually romance Anders if he succeeds in separating from Justice or finds peace within himself.
Champion : Conte Amell (tag)
Class : Mage (Bloodmage)
Pairings : M!Amell x Merrill
Amell, already under suspicions after Jowan’s escape and his temper rising at Surana being sent away, is moved to the Kirkwall’s Circle after the events of Broken Circle, as he is deemed too dangerous for them to monitor after Uldred’s attack.
He strikes a deal with a rage demon for blood magic, who will haunt him for years.
Bethany dies in the prologue and Claire Hawke reaches Kirkwall with Carver.
Anders eventually asks for her help to free Amell, his old friend, from the Circle, and Claire accepts, also on the premise of them being related.
Conte is freed and hides with the Hawkes, laying low and training with Carver to be able to defend himself without magic if needed.
Claire dies during the Deep Road expedition, and Conte comes back to the surface to find Carver having joined the Templars.
He sides with the Mages and approves of Anders’ actions.
Keeps helping the Mage underground and rebellion after DA2 with Anders and Merrill.
Conte is Varric’s contact, despite not being a Hawke by blood he was there when Carver unlocked Corypheus’ prison, and his knowledge in blood magic helped clear much of what happened with Malcolm.
After talking to Alistair at Skyhold he almost considers joining him in finding Surana and travelling with her, but that plan dies once Alistair is left in the Fade and Conte has no clue on how to find her.
Inquisitor : Moghrana Lavellan (tag)
Class : Mage (Necromancer)
Pairings : F!Lavellan x Solas
Generally uncaring of the mages/templars situation, considers it human bullshit.
Has a complicated relationship with her Dalish upbringing, but was definitely pushed over the edge by Solas’ praises and belief she was more than her counterparts could ever be.
Allows him to remove her Vallaslin, but ends up regretting after the revelations of Trespasser.
Leaves Alistair in the Fade, Wardens are exiled.
Celene, Gaspard and Briala allied through blackmail.
Drinks from the Well of Sorrows.
Leliana is steeled and made Divine, the Inquisition is disbanded.
Wants to try and redeem Solas.
