mouthwashing fans you are getting Awfully ableist when you say curly deserved what happened to him like he wasn't severely disabled by someone who he had faith in trust in and had known for a LONG time so he had likely had gotten accommodated to the way jimmy treated him, (see; his literal BIRTHDAY) and hadn't realized that when he said he was going to fix things, it'd result in the crash. curly also seems like a constant victim of jimmy, and tries to fawn him when it comes to his behavior. PLUS i think the event of the crash was only a day apart from anya telling curly. so of course he wouldn't suddenly be aware of something so drastic happening so soon.

i've always seen curly as trying to be the mediator. trying to do damage control, because jimmy can be highly manic and extremely violent, as we've seen! it's understandable why he wouldn't take immediate action (even though he could've done something to help anya.) it's a lose-lose situation. everytime someone says "swansea would've done something!" it makes no sense to me because he *was* told. and he left dealing with it all extremely late.

not only that, but they're in the middle of space??? the cryo pods are emergency resources, and the only places with locks are the medical room and i think the cockpit. they're on the ship for 8 months. they're not expected to come back to earth and their being in space couldn't just be discontinued.

it is a dismal situation within mouthwashing and i feel like curly was one of the most realistically written characters, despite his faults. calling him a rapist apologist, saying he deserved what happened to him in the end isn't okay. curly was to me, a good person with good intentions that inherently became bad as time went on. i really think we should consider the level of helpless the crew actually had and start blaming pony express for not having ways to deal with such a situation. jimmy was also the co-pilot, horrible person or not they NEEDED him to fly the ship in case anything went wrong. obviously he goes on to abuse that.

Hello, my name is Andrew and we are looking to fund a Mobility Van for our sweet daughter Evelyn. She was born in Japan with a rare pathogenic mutation of the ASXL1 gene named Bohring-Opitz Syndrome. We almost lost her at birth and on the medical evacuation to Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego 48 hours later. Due to BOS, she has a myriad of symptoms but the ones that drive the need for a mobility van are low muscle tone and abnormal corpus callosum development in her brain. This causes cognitive and motor functional development to be slowed greatly. She is not mobile, has no head control and is ventilator, oxygen and feeding tube dependant. While she can still fit in her car seat she will outgrow the rear-facing seat by next year and will require head support for forward facing. Currently, her wheelchair capable of head control and is an approved mobility device to be used in an accessible van but insurance will not cover the cost. While some potential grants and charities can help, there will still be a heavy out-of-pocket expense. The price ranges from modifying our current van at >$21000 to buying a new van at >$60000. I have set the goal of this fundraiser to $60k for a new van with a fallback plan of purchasing a used one or having our current van modified, which has a 4-month turnaround. If we chose to have the current van modified, we will need another van in the interim to meet her appointments.

Head control aside, with a mobility van, we would be able to easily wheel her and her equipment straight into the van to make it much easier to get her out and about. Her Wonderfold Wagon we use to haul her in a special chair and her gear to and from the van. While it is just fantastic, she is quickly outgrowing that as well and soon will not fit in it. This is another reason for us seeking funding for a mobility van.

i'm tired i'm too tired to keep approaching people individually and i'm kinda done. i'm just gonna say this publicly once, please read this. the situation over here rn isn't about palestinians fighting for their human rights and freedom, if it were i would support it. the attacks on israel are by a terrorist organization named Hamas and you're more than welcome to look them up-their ideology is: number one that they see the muslim people as entitled to the land of israel/palestine (which i am not going to argue about, i don't agree nor disagree on that i quite literally don't care about that conversation), and number two that they need to kill jews. i'm not paraphrasing that's in their literal "covenant"- again, look it up- that they strive to kill all jewish people and see it as their obligation to do so. i hate this country and its government with every fiber of my being and the things israel has done (and still does) to palestinians are absolutely horrible and condemnable. with that said, the attacks rn aren't about that. they're not by palestinian citizens, they're by the terrorist group known as hamas. they do things that could not ever be done in the name of fighting for human rights or self-preservation. i am critical of israel but 1,100 innocent israeli civilians are dead since saturday. some are people i know and care about. so many were kidnapped and tortured. this IS complicated and you SHOULD educate yourself proparly on the matter before speaking and yes before reblogging random posts too. your opinion is your own but you must have the proper information before preaching it.

For new users who are confused by tag novels

It’s an ancient tumblr practice from back when reblogged posts looked like this:

If you reblogged and added a new caption, it would indent all the previous text, and if someone reblogged from you and added a caption, it would indent again.

Which means sometimes popular posts would become completely unreadable, especially on tumblr’s mobile app.

To avoid this, people would refrain from commenting directly in the post, and would instead take their two cents to the tags. Anything from small comments, to incredible jokes, to in depth commentary could be hidden away in the tags to extend the longevity of the original post.

Obviously they’ve since fixed the format, but we’ve never stopped using tags this way. For those struggling with when to caption and when to tag their responses, maybe consider “is this addition worth making the entire post harder to read”, as that’s where it all started.

I watched Jacks stream oh my gosh...

I thought I could handle a Dsmp stream in 2024 but nope. just- that felt SO much like just a stream that would happen in like 2021. the wandering around falling into random creeper holes, chat telling jack to get philza to help him, and to find michael, the mobs interrupting and how unplanned it all was. unscripted lore my beloved forever and ever.

the way that it's like in tommy and jacks conversation- they're talking about things in character that also relates to (presumably) their feelings in real life. just gosh...

when jack and tommy said their goodbyes and jack looked back at technos house to see the sun rising- like its so perfect in a way that the incidental roleplay always was. Like in the way I know I'm reading into it but it still works and it feels like real life when something happens and you find yourself in that moment and life looks almost like a movie- everything in it's proper place for the scene- but it's all just coincidence. the sun didn't rise because a writer wrote that it would. the sun just rises and falls and the conversation just happens to end at that exact moment.

idk just- I really felt it. It captured the feeling of peak dreamsmp that I've missed so much.

I don't even have a problem with nuke ending personally I think it's perfectly fine as an ending. How I've always seen it is: Everyones been hurt by everyone and violence begets violence so the great final act is nukes that will kill everyone that have all ready been launched so it can't be taken back. Then in the prison tommy sees the early parts of the server through Dreams pov and sees the good that was there at the start and how much that has been corrupted since and he wants that simplicity again (he and dream were even friends at one point) before everything went terrible for everyone. Dream turns his back on his plan that he's been building up to for so long cause what he really wants is the same thing as tommy. for things to be simple like at the start. but it's too late- its too far gone. the nukes have already been launched there's no going back. just the hope that maybe in another world things could've been different.

(also the added context of nuke ending being an elaborate character/relationship/map reset to setup a season 2 that never happened.)

So there's my nuke ending defense lol. I know it wasn't very popular with a vast amount of people and that's okay too.

I think ending something like dsmp was never gonna be easy or satisfy everybody, with how many individual povs there are and storylines. I always expected there to be things left unfinished. (unfinished symphony ;) Even if that's pretty unsatisfying for us viewers. (there's a particular stream I really wish had happened with foolish, dream, and eret)

idk there's a post I always remember when thinking about the ending that was like: "Maybe they couldn't write a happier ending at that time in their lives." (super paraphrasing) obviously talking about techno's passing. it's a bit assumptive but the CC's have talked publicly about how much that has affected them (of course it did). With something like that I imagine giving your minecraft server/roleplay character a happy ending is the last thing on your mind.

Todays stream felt like grief and nostalgia and complicated feelings for a time that has passed but still left it's marks on you:

I have a copy of The Five Books of Moses as translated by Robert Alter, and I'd like to annotate it -- highlight names in the genealogies that come back later, make notes about recurring phrases in the margins, that sort of thing. Obviously, no large religion has a total consensus on issues like these, but I'm curious to hear opinions from any Jews who might be reading this. It's not a Torah scroll, so I don't.... *think* the same rules apply? But even if it's not forbidden by religious law, I still want to make sure it's, you know, not disrespectful.

I've been getting a lot of personal blogs that don't have RP sideblogs following me lately, and while I appreciate your interest in my blog and the silly little guy it's about, I feel like I need to make a bit of a PSA.

Please don't like the threads I have going on with other people. I am a very small blog and it kind of clogs up my notifications and needlessly gets my hopes up to have something to actually reply to.

You can like asks, art, shitposts or whatever else, and you can even interact by way of sending asks, but please don't touch my threads. This also includes reblogging (which is not a thing that I have yet personally run into but I am worried enough about it happening that I feel the need to say something now before it does happen)

RP blogs and mains with visible RP sideblogs can like whatever the hell they want (including threads they're not in, so long as they don't reblog them) because I know I am strictly dealing with RP blogs. But personal blogs, as much as I appreciate your enthusiasm, y'all are guests here and thus don't quite have the same rights as other RP blogs. I'm not trying to scare anybody off, but I need to set some boundaries in order to make my own notifications more manageable.

reblogged that here because i see a lot of "you MUST reblog" sentiment going around aimed at new/returning users. and it's a nice thought, and i think it's good to share posts & i encourage people to do so, but i really don't think people should feel like they're obligated to reblog any specific post. ultimately, your blog is a space curated by you, and if you don't want to put a certain post on your blog for whatever reason, or you have a designated sideblog for reblogs, or you have a really long queue that will take a while to reblog a post after you've liked it... you should really not be made to feel bad about it???
