After finally catching up on Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Chat Noir, here are (some of) my thoughts:

Wow, the writers' need to put Adrien/CN through the wringer for no reason continues, huh?

Marinette should absolutely NOT be lying to Adrien, but I understand why she's doing it. Still not happy abt it tho.

Marinette should not have made everyone in the team a permanent holder. This is purely a selfish opinion bc I just enjoy the show much, much more when it's LB and CN against the world.

What's with making Alya the next guardian without even the thought of discussing it with CN?????

Adrienette have officially taken over MariChat as my favorite love square ship. They're just TOO ADORABLE!!!

The new animation is good! My only complaint, much like everyone else, is Adrien. I hope that what I heard about Astruc's reasoning behind his design are the truth (which, from what I understand, are essentially that he didn't get new clothes "for a reason" and his hair is flat bc he's depressed) and that it'll change later on. But anyway, they're supposed to be older, yet Adrien got more baby fat? Make it make sense?! I do like Chat's new look though... for the most part...

Is it just me or is Adrien less of a main character in s6 than he ever has been before? Idk, obv Werepapas had a good amount of Adrien-focus but something just feels different. I feel like we barely saw him in the other eps...

Gabriel might actually be the worst fictional father ever. Okay that's probably not true... but he's gotta be up there!

I don't like that we got introduced to these "anti-kumas" so early on after gaining the ability of being able to use their powers an unlimited amount. And how CN's been the only one hit so far...

On the same topic, I don't like that ALL the heroes have unlimited use of their powers. I thought we'd have at least one thing that made our 2 main heroes more powerful but I guess not.

I also don't like CN being treated as just another teammate so far. Obv there's not much to go off of yet, but I just feel like there's nothing LB's done that separates him from the rest of the team despite their supposed relationship as partners. Kinda a let down, esp when remembering their scene at the end of the London special. "Like old times" my butt.

Obvs in the books Lestat couldn’t read as a human because he was poor and didn’t have an education, and he only learned how to read when he was a vampire bcus vampires have magic where they can learn to do anything with unnatural clarity by just watching a human do it, bcus of their symbolic supernatural ability to mimic and preform humanity when they aren’t actually a part of it.

This implies that lestat never rlly learned how to read in the same way he never learned how to drive bcus he can only do these things by pretending to preform them by watching humans. I think, symbolically, the way lestat feels about not being able to read brings about disability imagery. There’s a part in the vampire Lestat where he says that Nicolas was angry with him for not being able to read bcus lestat relied on Nicolas to help him learn his lines (cuz he couldn’t read his scripts) and this was a chore Nicolas didn’t like doing. Lestat having to rely on other ppl to help him do things bcus he can’t read is a reoccurring thing in the first bit of the vampire Lestat. It’s also implied that he has more trouble with learning how to read then he should, partly bcus of how his brain works and partly bcus no one is willing to help him. Lestat was taught how to read for a few months or so when he was twelve going to school at the monastery and he didn’t retain anything but the ability to write his name.

bcus of this canon info, my headcanon is that lestat has learning disabilities like dyslexia and adhd which, in addition to his poor upbringing, make navigating the world hard for him when he was born in a climate where no one was willing to help him or teach him, partly bcus he has needs that are harder to meet. I think lestat being disabled in a way that makes him harder to teach rlly makes sense when u consider his conflict and trauma in tvl where he explains that he was super self hating as a child bcus he realized that no one was ever willing to teach him how to learn or grow bcus no one ever had any faith in him. Like how Gabrielle was able to read and even tho she could, she never taught lestat how to read despite his interest. I think it’s possible that Gabrielle didn’t teach lestat how to read bcus she realized how difficult it was for him to learn and didn’t have the energy to push through that with him

It just makes sm sense to me that lestat has learning disabilities since it’s a huge part of his character in tvl that he is desperate to learn and to read and to grow as a person but he finds it incredibly hard especially since no one is willing to give him the chance. Lestat is rlly relatable to me as someone who knows what it’s like to love reading and learning and being held back by disability, so that’s mostly where my headcanons come from lol

Granted I am unsure Adrien/Marinette is a done thing, but like... I could see it being that Adrien makes it into school and books it into class, thus disrupting the argument over seats.

Chloe greets him, or has to run off to scare away his throngs of fans. & then is like, "Oh I was just in the middle of arranging our seats!" but Adrien, being a polite boy is just like.

"Oh its fine they don't need to move just so we can sit together, I mean we'll be seeing each other at lunch and every other day anyway right?"

Chloe can't/doesn't exactly want to argue with that or Adrien so while not thrilled she obscures and rolls with it. So Marinette's kinda like, low key side eying Adrien a bit at first but isn't instantly "He's an enemy" either.

In that regard, things could go very well for them & also avoid Marinette hitting the "Cannot talk around him" levels of awkwardness before they become a thing, but I'm unsure its a certainty.

Regardless, I still can't figure out how Gabriel would use the Prodigious in this scenario XD Even the altered varieties I cam up with don't allow him to operate from afar. Maybe he somehow uses it to safely wield the the Peacock perhaps indirectly?

Or he just opts to go all in on day one and starts zooming about as a dragon lightning stuff up until he gets body checked by some teenagers...

Actually given the limits on the Prodigous's use, he may end up researching ways to try and work around the limits perhaps? Ag, I am now really interested in this but also flummoxed XD

Lestat - Usually Armand is second but I'm in a Lestat mood this week sorry babygirl. I like how he is the opposite of Louis in aesthetics and personality. Though I don't love that he becomes the protag in the books, I understand AR's reasoning and will still enjoy them

Claudia - Such an interesting character… I love how she is written. If you read my new about me yk I’m in the FPE fandom. And I also have a few OCs too! This fandom honestly has a wide variety you could make so it was rlly fun making these guys. I will say tho there are some OCs I have yet to draw but I’ll say somethint about them ^^

This first one is Miss Aidoki! A silly lady who’s also a massive sweetheart. She unlike most teachers has a higher chance of sparing failing students. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t uh…Eliminate some now and then. She is the school nurse and health teacher! She’s about 35 and LOVES desserts! (Especially Strawberry cake!) she also has a son named Gabriel Aidoki, but I have yet to draw him digitally but you may see him in future content!

Next up is…

Miss Sai! This crazy gal is the Astronomy teacher with multiple weird lil features about her. She can do things like turn her head all the way around (like an owl). She’s an odd lass but who isn’t in this universe am I right? She has a sister, a niece, and a nephew. Her nieces name is “Luna” and her Nephews name is “Sunny”.

I've been brainrotting over this for weeks because Overwatch and Star Wars are two of my fave content to consume and I've been in both these fandoms for so long so-

Overwatch Star Wars au, where Overwatch were the Jedi Order, Blackwatch were Jedi shadows/sentinels.

Reyes as a Jedi Shadow and his little unconventional padawan Cole Cassidy, former teen criminal with enormous potential in the force that Reyes decided to pick up and train despite his age and past.

Ana and Jack are Jedi Masters and part of the council.

The fall of Overwatch would happen very similarly to Order 66, where most of the members get killed and hunted down.

Gabriel Reyes "dies" similarly to Anakin Skywalker and in his place emerges Sith Lord Reaper. As does Talon, similarly to the birth of the empire. Not all Talon members would be Sith ofc. I imagine Doomfist at the very least would be. While Widowmaker is the wife of Senator Lacroix, similarly to in game lore she gets kidnapped and brainwashed. Sombra is probably a mercenary working for Talon. Moira is an inquisitor, former Jedi sentinel, she enjoys capturing former jedi and torturing/experimenting on them, she's responsible for the fall of many former jedi turned inquisitors.

For our Overwatch people, they're also not all going to be Jedi. Ana and Jack, obv. With their respective padawans Fareeha and Lena. Winston as well, plus Angela as a Jedi Healer. Reinhardt and his padawan Brigitte.

Genji would've been part of the Shimada clan, a group of force users that kept themselves separated from Jedi or Sith. Same as in Canon he'd be cut apart by Hanzo and saved by Angela, after which he joins the Jedi. He leaves a few years before the fall to find himself and goes to the monks in the temple of Jedha, where he meets Zenyatta, a force user who is neither jedi nor Sith, not good nor evil, he's in the balance and so he decides to study under him. Hanzo on the other hand completely abandons his lightsabers, same as he stops using his sword in game after "killing Genji".

Post Recall members:

Baptiste as a former Talon Inquisitor, joins the reformed Overwatch and learns how to heal instead of killing.

Cassidy takes on Hana as a padawan and with her he rejoins Overwatch (who he had ditched a little before the fall after having grown disillusioned with them and seeing the corruption that was brewing inside). He does however spend a long time as a merc before taking back his lightsaber and accepting himself as a jedi.

For now this is all my little peabrain could come up with. Mind that the story revolves mainly around Jack, Gabriel and Cassidy. As they kind of replace Obi-wan, Anakin and Ahsoka. (No Jack was not Gabriel's master but they had a strong brotherly bond like Obi-wan and Anakin so I think they fit the roles pretty well).

I do however have some more details on the characters I managed to fit in.

Ana and Fareeha are not mother and daughter but they're from the same clan and they're both Mirialan, they do have a mother and daughter relationship tho. They both have blue lightsabers.

Jack also has a blue lightsaber and he's the order's grandmaster.

Gabriel wields two lightsabers, one purple and one blue, they both turn red after his fall.

(I'm considering making Jack and Gabriel the children of the prophecy. Which they both fail by fighting eachother instead of being in balance. Jack as the light side of the force and Gabriel as the dark side. Kinda like on mortis we have the son and the daughter and the balance gets upset by the son killing the daughter- So yeah Gabriel has completely fallen to the dark side and intent on destroying the light side while Jack is grey-ish and obsessed with revenge and justice, they're terrible at their jobs.)

Cole wields one lightsaber, green. His skills in the force far outclass his lightsaber skills, especially since he greatly favours wielding a blaster in his other hand. He was actually discovered as force sensitive because of his pin point accurate shots. Which he later discovers to be guided by the force and that for years he's unknowingly used the force to guide his aim as well as even maneuvering the blaster fire (basically giving him the equivalent of deadeye in this universe).

Hana has a blue lightsaber, though with her being a pilot and being trained by Cole she's also an accelent shot and doesn't rely too heavily on her lightsaber.

Winston is a lasat, he wields a green bladed saberstaff, though he's more of a scholar than a fighter. (Like Plo Koon he can use the jedi technique of electric judgment)

Moira never made her crystals bleed and she wields a purple and a yellow lightsaber. While she is an inquisitor she's not Sith. She doesn't use the dark side to fuel her, preferring science and force techniques from either side of the force, knowledge is knowledge and she wants it all.

Lena has a blue lightsaber and a blue shoto. She's also an accomplished pilot and it's usually her or Hana that are flying the crew around. Though Hana specialises in combat flying much more compared to Lena.

Baptiste has a white lightsaber, after having healed his own crystal.

Angela has a green shoto, she really only uses it in self defence since she heavily dislikes having to result to violence and her abilities are much more focused on force healing. She's strong enough to be able to bring someone back from the brink of death (which is what she did with Genji).

Genji has a green lightsaber and a green shoto, tho he also uses various tools at his disposal, like traps or smoke bombs.

Hanzo used to have two blue lightsabers, but he's since put them to rest and now favours an energy bow. Similarly to Cassidy he uses the force to guide his aim, making him a formidable sniper.

Doomfist has a red Saberstaff and he's a kiffar! (He's always wearing gloves or gauntlets of some kind since he has psychometry)

I’m not not completely sure on which of the seven (tho actually 10 important gods in total) should be alive during the actual plot.

Obv Michaela/owl lady is alive, she’s the one that betrayed everyone. So is Lucifer/crow boi as one of the main secondary characters, Gabriel/as the mc, and Raziel/raven boi as another important side character.

As for the one I’m sure should be dead that would be Chamuel/eagle boi as he was the old ruler before Michaela took over.

Everyone else is 50/50 tho

The remaining undecided ones would be:

Ariel/crane lady - the engineer responsible for the achievement of making the country of Eden into a large floating island and other technological stuff, main power of telekinesis. Haven’t actually developed her background nor a concrete personality yet as not quite sure which one to go with for her, but I think I’d want her to lean more on the nicer and humane side (like Azrael) compared to the rest of the birbs

Raphael/peacock boi - husband of Chamuel and with the main power of controlling diseases (bacterial, viral and fungi) so essentially a doctor disguised as a bioweapon, I feel like going for a personality similar to Hera for him (hence the peacock)

Metatron/ibis boi - essentially want to make him be like Thoth, main power of looking into the events that have happened in the past in a given place, and as well as the ‘memories/experiences’ of an object. Can also enter the mind to look into the past memories of people. However, when he spends time in these memories, his physical body is very vulnerable and unresponsive in this state. Mans the library where every single knowledge the birb bois have obtained is stored

Jophiel/swan lady - main power of knowing whatever it is that someone desires the most and as well as what they want to do/wish for in a given moment, (contrast to Raziel having the power to know a person’s fears) and as another contrast to Raziel, while Raziel runs illegal business but is himself a kind and understanding businessman, Jophiel runs legal businesses but is a lot more cutthroat in her business (and a more cruel/strict person in general)

And yes Raphael and Chamuel adopted Azrael and Michaela, where they found em? Idk yet

(And while I like to call these 10 bois ‘the seven’ even tho 10 not equal 7 is cause: Garbiel and Raziel just aren’t considered part as they treat Gabriel more like an important minor god and don’t acknowledge Raziel cause he deals with ‘underground/illegal/shady’ things. *cracks knuckles* ok these are two ridiculously active people, so i have things to say.

mika: - didn't do any organized sport in highschool because too undisciplined, but was a skater kid - did roller derby during college (derby name obvs: mika menace), like was on a real team and all. still occasionally participates casually, and helps out with training sometimes and stuff. that's also the only sport she actually likes watching - is a runner, and actually did a few marathons for fun. could be really good if she actually trained seriously

gabriel: - was on on the track team during highschool and college, but usually avoided team sports stuff (his father would have LOVED to see him on the football team tho 😬) - was an avid runner for most of his life but lowkey stopped that in the last few years, knees and old age and all that lmao. instead traded that for swimming which is now his main relaxation sport - loves rock climbing but doesn't get around to it much - his boss drags him out for golf occasionally, which he hates. a lot. but unfortunately he is pretty decent at it. - generally he's open to try out most sports, would totally be up for something like scuba diving or stuff like that - doesn't care for watching sport at all, except for when mika was on the roller derby team lol

mika: does "consuming lethal amounts of caffeine" count? 🤔 ok a random quirk - never ever chooses her own order when eating out. like, if she's with someone else she's like "pick something for me, anything" (and her friends already know this and don't even ask anymore if she's really sure?? they just pick something random lol), and if she's alone somewhere she's like "surprise me" or "which one's your favorite" to the waiter

gabriel: would probably insist he doesn't have any odd habits. mika however would qualify his love for routines as one. disagreeing with her here btw. that man just likes being in control, having routines and schedules for your personal life isn't odd 🙄
