McCartney II
Big Evil Gay Beatles analysis section, I thought it'd be good to share a bit of the sillyness I spot, there are many songs here I think we should be looking into more as a fandom.
Tumblr media
Side One
Coming Up – Very important to the already very established McLennon Canon as it brough John back into recording before his death in his most personal accepting time, leading to an equally gay response track on the equally gay album Double Fantasy, (Just Like) Starting Over. It's one of the sweeter John-coded Paul-songs specifically within the call and response half of the canon.
Temporary Secretary - There are two really funny ways to view this, first one is the obligatory Paul McCartney "WHORE :333" moment.
The second one I just came up with now on a whim is, if you really want to be crazy, if you're not interested in the overall theory and you really really like mclennon you can read it as Paul's view of John and his staff at the Dakota.
It's not true, it has no place in reality, but it's really funny.
On The Way – This one I'm pretty surprised there isn't a popular mclennon opinion about this, its got smooth music, real popular for the AC charts. But, it's really echoey and really smooth in a pretty John way, so I'd call it another John-coded Paul song.
However for a really evil take, you can put a George-coded spin on it, when you take into account some of the later tracks, and I will get into that further down the list.
Waterfalls – It's so late-beatley in its content, but it being hosted a decade later is crazy. It feels like the granny music, but it lives in the modern world, and this guy won't stop yearning.
The real deal with this baby though, is the like "Like a castle needs a tower" What do we like to refer to The Dakota as? The locked up tower, right? In the most evil section of mclennon lore, with the cruelest interpretations of Yoko, that is how the card is often played.
Now the other half of that line is "Like a garden needs a flower" A garden, kind of like Friar Park, right? I don't know, back to back tower + garden on top of a more modern sounding, yet still with classic granny themes is really sketchy in an evil gay way.
Nobody Knows – Nobody does know, except for me, and I know this guy is ... Y'Know. Why are you, as an immovable heterosexual writing the lines "I'll pay your rent, I'll do you right (nobody knows)", I hate this guy omg.
But, the best thing about Nobody Knows is that the b-side comes right after! And the b-side is way more evil and gay.

Side Two
Front Parlour – No lyrics, just silly and happy instrumentals. It has no real meaning alone, but when combined with the others it makes for a compelling addition to the evil gay beatles lore. Its upbeat tunes, with a slow incline up act like a nice introduction to the chaos that will ensue.
Summer's Day Song – DREAM, THE DREAM, WHAT WAS THE DREAM? BY BREATHLESS345???!!! We have that, we have the string/flute whatever I don't know, I'm reminded of the introduction of orchestra done in Sergeant Pepper's!!! I'm thinking of linking my chances with I'm Only Sleeping, and some tracks further down the list! I'm thinking of a depressed freshly divorced 28 year old alcoholic!!
Frozen Jap – Maybe this is why we don't bring this album up as often, or maybe no one knows about this song because we don't bring up this album. Either way we should talk about it all more, everyone goes after John for saying slurs he can't say, get this fucker too!
My least favorite thing is when everyone brings up John's horrific behavior and then suggests another Beatle as being more moral and correct. They all were evil and awful and gay as a group, you can't say John sucks, let's all like Paul now, they were all crazy dude!
Bogey Music – ELVIS VOICE!!! HAII ELVIS VOICE !!
There isn't much here, like in the previous song, Front Parlour, and Temporary Secretary, he's just playing with his epic new tools, something we also see later down the line in Egypt Station. However, as we all know, the elvis voice is indicative of that freaky running theme.
Darkroom – Going along with that, we have a Linda-coded Paul-song, one of the greatest coded Paul-song genres! Love U Linda! It can also, if we stick with the theme, and in Summer's Day Song be attached to the Sergeant Pepper Launch Party, yet another classic historical event.
One of These Days – A lot like Summer's Day, pretty farm-y. He's just a silly guy and he wants to be happy. He wants his babygirls back so bad.
Tumblr media
Now I want to take a second and also check out a couple of the epic bonus tracks on the special edition from 2011!! I'm only doing the really gay ones, as they weren't on the original album, and not all of them have content that's evil and autistic and gay.
Blue Sway - It's pretty okay, it's another depressed lyric with music that would top AC charts. He's sad, he wants to know why, as usual. It's a good song, but it isn't as evil and gay as the next ones will be!
Coming Up / Live at Glasgow 1979 - So several lines are here that are replaced or unused in the album version. Instead of "We can make it, stick with me" we get "We hear music endlessly", which is a lot more important.
It shows up especially when we take into account the other changed lyrics where instead of "You want a better kind of future, One that everyone can share, You're not alone, we all could use it Stick around, we're nearly there"
A call to his friend that he also believes in him, and wants him to get better and see him again
We have "You want a love to last forever, One that will never fade away ,I'd like to help you with your problem, Stick around, pretty baby I say".
A repeat of the opening lines that transforms the song when added to the other line, which adds an extra layer of evil gayness to it, the focus on music and love being the first version of the song to John is nuts!
While the recipient didn't like this version as much as the other one, which is fair, this is a song that has a heavy production value, this is way more impactful and way more gay. Once again, where is the focus on this stuff, seriously this is crazy.
Secret Friend - FRIEND? THE MOST COMMON GAY WORD IN THE BEATLES GAY DICTIONARY, YEAH BABY!!
This one is crazy, if Coming Up wasn't as evil as it was, this would be the gayest song here. Let's get into it; first we have the sea and separation, obviously it's got to be the guy that lives across the sea. Then we have the plea to be his secret friend, oh boy! And then all those "I need ya"s Crazy!
Tumblr media
That's all, I'll definitely be doing this again with some other ones, I'm really surprised I haven't seen a really popular analysis for any of these ones, obviously Coming Up is very popular within the fandom due to its affect on the timeline, but why aren't we talking about Secret Friend, or Summer's Day Song!?
