Spinning Wheel - The Three Sisters

My piece for the Object Head Zine 2023 Edition. The theme was Historical Fiction so I decided to paint spinning wheels in different periods. We were allowed to post our whole piece a couple of months ago, but only remembered to post this now because of the KofiChallenge :'^) huhu

There are a couple of object head discords! I've joined a couple of them but they're mostly pretty quiet. If you still want to join them, I'll paste the ones I've been in. If other people have ones they've joined not on this list, feel free to message/link them!

There are a lot of things I would change about this, if I were to draw it again! I forgive it though. I still really love looking at all the colors in this one. I remember being proud of the fact that I made the tree look brown even though I didn't use any brown ink.

I named this after the Steam Powered Giraffe song of the same name, which is what I primarily listened to on repeat while coloring it. A lot of my art (the vast majority of it) is created while listening to music, and a lot of that music is specifically chosen to reflect whatever it is I'm drawing. One of my favorite things is having an art piece, whether it's a written story, a character, or drawing, that has a musical "theme."

My entry for @objectheadzine ‘s 2018 edition!

The theme was flora and fungi and despite my limited experience drawing either I couldn’t resist the challenge.

I went with a mushroom and a Chinese plum blossom for my shopkeepers and a host of unusual plants that may or may not be magical in nature.

The piece is almost entirely traditional with just a bit of digital for the gradient wall, floor, shelves, counter, glow effect, and minor touch-up.  The pattern on the plum blossom’s blouse was made with gel pens.

IS ANYONE SURPRISED? NO? Good, ‘cause honestly if I ever stop drawing this vaguely creepy dork it’ll be because the last shudder of dusty air has left my lungs. Anyhow, it’s ya boi Vern, back again.

This one’s a little special though, because I’ll be submitting it to the Objecthead Zine! It’ll have a full background (a very, very complicated background that I am not really looking forwards to) and another aspect of Vern’s character design that I haven’t gotten to show off yet but am very excited for!

But since all of my art looks way better as sketches, I figured I’d put this here to make me feel better about myself, haha. Goodnight, everybody.

Hello everyone, thank you all for your patience! We got a super cool announcement - The OBJECT HEAD ZINE 2025, FANTASY AND MAGIC EDITION, WILL OPEN PREORDERS ON MARCH 22ND, 2025, 9 am PST!

There'll a lot of cool comics, art, and merchandise available on the Kofi during that time. Preorders will be open for a month and then the merch bundles will be gone so get them while you can! The book and pdf by itself will be available year-round after preorders.

The preorder post will show the available bundles, the link to the Kofi account with the bundles+prices, and the finalized artist list for the zine. Can't wait to see you there!

It's not Mayday but I've chosen my old Shakalaka BAM zine piece which is also NSR if that counts. Sorry, Mayday. The icon is a Modley one because I want to draw them more;;

Still in a mp100 and kamen rider kick (ha) as of late, but I don't have any art of those I want to use right now or haven't used already. No promises my icon won't suddenly be a Dimple jumpscare some days

Here are mine! I did three comic pages and an illustration--It was a great experience. Everyone who contributed is so talented and it turned out so great! I’m happy to finally get to share these pages since I’m quite proud of how they turned out!

"Leannedoptera," 2017!! Ballpoint pens. I remember drawing this after going to my very first comic con. What an incredible experience! Meeting with the incredible artists there is what made me love going to many comic cons thereafter.

I've always enjoyed objectheads, so it was really awesome meeting some artists who ran (and still run!! Check it out!!! [link] ) the "Objecthead Zine" at Chibichibi Con.

This character I made is named Leanne. I dreamt up her design when I was just starting to fall asleep. Here are some notes I wrote about her when I first made her:
