I was reading 'One Bad End is Enough' by AsterEfflores (best art ever, btw. Completely astonishing) and, damn, Tristan is so rightfully salty.

I, too, want to scold at the canon when everyone and their mothers mention the past Cale (og!Cale, even if they don't know) as "the trash young master". Trash, trash, trash— SHUT UP. YOU'RE ALIVE BECAUSE HE WENT FOR DECADES OF WAR FIRST AND STILL ACCEPTED THAT DAMN DEAL.

Man is the only damn person who remembers the past timeline. He's the only one who knows exactly how much they lost last time. Only he knows how horrible it ended.

The family he wanted to be safe and happy so bad that he dedicated years to pretend he's a worthless heir, the worst option. All of them dead. And when he's about to die—

If I were him and had lost everyone I loved and saw the world be burned down by a maniac, I would be fucking relieved to finally see everyone again and rest.

Even more because the person in question is an absolute cinnamon roll who says things like "I'll save this world because I want everyone to live peaceful lives" (i probably got the quote wrong, but that was the spirit of it) so casually and without a sign of shame. He lived a life for others and hets a new life and, what does he does? He uses it to make everyone safe and happy. He takes care of the team he barely knows, tries his best for a kid who was once his mom, and keeps working despite having the money to quit. He goes around smiling though he doesn't have to. He's genuinely happy and glad. I—

Loki Season 2, Episode One

OH MY GOSH!!

SO much about this episode was fantastic!!

First of all, I’ll reiterate that Loki being in the TVA, with B-15 and Mobius and Casey (and Sylvie) is SO good for him. He gets to be a hero without constantly being compared to Thor, and THAT is what he’s needed. Thor loves him, but in Asgard, Loki couldn’t thrive. This is his proper hero arc.

Oby (Obee? Orby?) is my favorite person ever, he deserves everything, hold him pls. Mobius and Loki’s friendship is adorable and funny and so healthy. Loki looks fantastic in very single shot, by the way, and even if I hate seeing him in pain, he just looks so good doing it. And I love the rolled up sleeves! I WANT HIM

SYLVIE!! SYLKI!! Sylkis might feel like we didn’t get much in this ep, but it’s only episode 1! There was a lot of catching up to do, and a lot of plot threads to start unraveling. But he clearly misses her and wants to find her.

Tom Hiddleston, along with the whole cast, does a phenomenal job, even with the complexities of the time travel plots. And I LOVE Sylvie looking at everyone in the McDonald’s, so sure and so proud of her choice! And B-15 being proud too!!

Best part of the episode though? Mobius writing “Skin?” In the dust. Peak character behavior mobius never change mwah

Palestinians continue to protest against the Israeli occupation's land theft in Kafr Qaddum

In Kafr Qaddum, Palestinians hold weekly protests against Israeli land theft, facing violence, arrests, and economic hardship while fighting for their rights.

As dawn breaks, the twinkling lights of Palestinian villages on the nearby hills can be seen from the picturesque village of Kafr Qaddum in the northern Israeli-occupied Palestinian West Bank. The village sits high up, offering a panoramic view of twisting roads winding around olive trees, agricultural fields, and stone houses, creating a bucolic idyll. However, behind this pastoral scene lies a story of land expropriation, brutality, a crippled economy, and violence — including deaths, injuries, and hundreds of arrests — due to Israel’s illegal occupation of the Palestinian West Bank. It’s Friday, and tensions are mounting as the village prepares for the weekly protest against the Israeli occupation and the theft of their land, uncertain of who might be killed, injured, or arrested this week. Kafr Qaddum is home to approximately 4,000 Palestinians, with seventy percent relying on their olive trees and other crops for their livelihoods. The village has lost well over 11,000 dunams (nearly 3,000 acres) of its land to the illegal Israeli settlement of Kedumim. Villagers are forbidden from accessing the surrounding land apart from three days a year during the olive harvest season.

"Three days a year is not enough time to pick all the olives, let alone take care of the land, including pruning trees, watering, weeding, and ploughing," said Saqer Obeed, an activist from the village, speaking to The New Arab. "Even during those three days, sometimes the soldiers wouldn’t show up on time or at all," he added. Saqer explained that the village had lost millions of dollars over the years due to the inability to harvest olives and other crops.

The weekly protests have resulted in numerous injuries and arrests. Murad's youngest son, Mo’amen, 14, suffered a skull fracture from a rubber-coated metal bullet to the head. "My oldest son, Khalid, 18, has been arrested multiple times and shot on different occasions, including once in the leg with an exploding bullet and once with a rubber bullet," Murad tells The New Arab.  Saqer informed The New Arab that over 160 villagers had been arrested during years of protests. "Several dozen people have been injured, including approximately 12 who sustained serious injuries such as loss of eyesight and an elderly man who died from suffocation due to tear gas," he says.  “The situation has deteriorated further since October 7. Previously, villagers could access their lands for three days a year during the olive harvest, but now they are completely forbidden from doing so.

Despite the economic hardships and the high toll on villagers defending their land economically, physically, and emotionally, they remain defiant, Saqer emphasises.  "We are unarmed, armed only with stones, but we are determined not to let this situation pass without fighting for our rights. Ik besloot een jaar lang niks te kopen. Die periode liep deze week af. Is het me gelukt?

Ik heb een jaar lang niks gekocht. Of laat me eerlijk zijn: bijna helemaal niks gekocht. Dat komt door een vriendin die vorig jaar oktober – opnieuw – klaagde dat ze te veel kocht. Kleding vooral, dat gaat zo lekker online. Maar er is meer gadgets, spullen, dingen.
