"my word is usually correct." omega said over their shoulder, but any teasing in their tone was gone as they fell, thankful that hunter had reached out and grabbed them before they could actually go through the fucking floor. her hand stayed clutched onto his sleeve for a minute, catching her breath. "yeah, i'm okay." she didn't feel hurt, and hadn't gone any further than her knee. "i think part of my jeans are caught on the wood, though." she pointed out, unable to yank their leg back up through the hole. "so much for the whole place not collapsing around us."

"Wonderful." Hunter nodded. Still keeping his senses sharp as they manoeuvred through the building. "Right okay. I'll take your word for it." Immediately at the yelp and sound of breaking wood he grabbed Omega before she could fall fully. "Are you alright?" Concern filled his eyes. He couldn't help his worry when it came to Omega. No matter how much she grew up.

"what the fuck do you mean leia killed you? why are you so nonchalant about that?"

"mental stability?" they offered, grinning slightly. "there is!" she grinned, nodding at the other's comment. "we can go there too!" it was somewhere that kirei loved to spend time. "I might ask leia if she can look into reopening the swimming pool, since she owes me a favour after killing me and all that,"

she was almost clear, they could see the edge of the grounds, the familiar hedge line that would duck into to follow into the woods. cloak pulled tighter around her head, she kept her eyes down, moving quickly and quietly. but just before her foot could cross into the freedom of the village, a familiar form's shadow engulfed her, body colliding with armor. "you-- god, jorah, where did you even come from?"

"i didn't think you'd take me seriously!" omega laughed back, but still found herself crouched over the coffee stable, head resting on her hand as she looked down at the piece of paper, trying to figure out the best things to add to it. "okay, that's definitely on the top of the list. i could so get us inside. i've got connections." they grinned. "we should try to get to the top of the capitol building, standing with that statue at the top."

"hell yeah." kie snorted out a laugh as she took the material she grabbed to the coffee table, sitting on the floor. "you're the one who mentioned it! like how cool would it be to actually do something wild off a list for no reason?" they tapped the pen against the table as they thought. "protest inside the white house?"

"why'd you go with a face tattoo?" she knew it probably wasn't the politest way to ask, and they would definitely make sure nyx didn't repeat that kind of question to strangers, but they felt like they could get away with it here. "the routine is nice, actually. it's better than people constantly telling us that kids weren't allowed around here. you'd think they'd recognize us by now.." they pointed out before continuing down towards their mom's office.

"I suppose I am." Hunter smiled at her. It was hard to not have her remember but it wouldn't change that he would always be there for them. To protect them. Memories or not. He glanced down at Nyx, smiling briefly at him but refocused to Omega. "It seems it is becoming a bit of a routine. I don't mind it. The conversation is nice. I am sort of heading in that direction anyway. Shall we?" He motioned for Omega to lead the way.
