Suddenly realized that Prompto doesn’t, as far as I recall, have access to the armiger during Episode Prompto and no one exactly sat him down and explained the magic jamming tech nifilheim has.

So from his perspective, Noctis turns on him, shoves him off a train, and then fucking disconnects him from the armiger. You know, where the gang keeps food. And camping gear. And curatives. And weapons.

Someone commissioned me to draw some Modern AU-esque LuNyx dancing in the kitchen and falling in love. :)

It's been a looong while since I drew them. I rarely accept pair characters for commissions due to the unpredictable nature of my work which makes me take a long time to draw them fully rendered. The busyness also affects my mood to draw which leads to a quality that I'm not satisfied with - I don't want to give half-assed work, hence just accepting single character commissions.

But since it's LuNyx and they make me feel nostalgic and I felt like I can give my best to it, I accepted this one.

AU in which Noctis decides Prompto needs a new dad since his parents suck. Unfortunately, despite being The Real Actual Prince, he is still not legally allowed to keep Prompto. Which just means he's got to find one himself!

Noctis: if someone--say, a bully named Trevor Fabius who lives three houses down the street from the corner store on 6th Ave--tripped someone else who happened to be your beloved, most adorable and sunshiney son in everything but flesh and blood in the middle of the street what would you do?

Nyx: this sounds very specific.

Crowe: stab them why

Libertus: I mean maybe not STAB stab them. A bit of light terror here and there.

Noctis, taking notes on his clipboard: interesting.

I think ff15 would have gone very differently had anyone managed to frame the prophecy not as a divine inevitability but a demand made by the imminent threat to the world and to Noctis that is Bahamut.

Bahamut gets framed as- not benevolent per se, but *good* by the narrative. You’re told that this is the god who created the crystal, the prophecy, the ring. This is the god who has been in your corner from the jump. Don’t question it too hard. Go quietly into that goodnight.

The chessmaster has never once had the best interests of their pawns at heart.

Hold Bahamut up to scrutiny and he is the reason that Noct must die. Who orchestrated the growing darkness? Who demanded sacrifice to stop that same darkness in its tracks?

It is, I maintain, not necessary sacrifice. There exists a world in which the ring of the lucii demands a blood toll- a life for a life- and it goes unpaid. There exists a world that the crystal demands a blood toll- the king for the world- and it too goes unpaid. Still, the sun rises.

So then if Noct’s death is unnecessary, that means Bahamut is demanding the frivolous death of the man Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto swore to defend. That makes Bahamut a threat, just the same as daemons or Nifilheim or Ardyn or Ifrit.

And I think, come hell or high water, that the bros wouldn’t fold to that sort of threat. They’d stand and fight.

Since 2017 when I played this Ffxv and watched the movie I fell into this random ship and I can’t let her go. They never meet, they never speak but I’m weak and it seems like a fun match
