I'm revisiting Cradle of Filth's Nymphetamine for the first time in probably 10 years and I get why I loved it when it first came out, but I don't think I'm feeling it quite as much now. It's heavy, but not nearly as much as I want it to be. Which I think is why I ended up getting into Behemoth a few years later. They were very similar, but had the much heavier sound I wanted.

My doll family has a new member!!! Meet Cecilia, she is a McLaren sculpt from Nymphetamine Customs. I won her at BJDcon and I am so over the moon!

She is a little daunting as I have never done a faceup from scratch before but I am really looking forward to painting her! I haven't started yet as I have just got my boyfriend into the hobby to and we agreed to paint our dolls together. (His first was a Fatemoons Willow boy for those who want to know!)

I also love how I had to stand her up so she could be in those pictures ;_;

Also yes, the dress is really big because it is for a standard 1/6 and she is slightly smaller...pretend you don't see the floating straps! I had nothing else to put her in

In very unrelated news that have nothing to do with what I usually post, my best friend treated me to dinner tonight for my birthday to my fave restaurant (I'm actually at it now waiting for a piece of a wonderful focaccia) and I got to do something I rarely do: dress up, pamper myself a bit, looking at the mirror and feel something positive.

I got myself a nice new satin skirt (a true miracle that I found one that actually fits), put on some comfortable heels and lipstick, and even straightened my hair. I missed this. I missed not feeling dreadful.

I... need to be able to feel like this more.
