I've been toying around with the Dragon Age: Veilguard character creator. I can't play the game yet (its specifications are way too high for my current PC), but fortunately the creator let me build my characters without too much trouble.

Of the two Rooks I have planned for different world states (even though I plan on merging them in the same universe at some point), I present to you 🌟 Finnick Aldwir 🌟 -dalish elf, Veil Jumper, skilled mage with a high affinity with electricity & tender and passionate lover.

I kinda feel the need to clarify this, regarding Heaven's Secret: Requiem, to give myself some peace of mind.

Do I like Boris? Yes, I love this character and went for him in a secondary playthrough. I personally wish he was a LI and I'd absolutely romance him with no problem.

Did I get excited when I saw him in that orgiastic CG Sasha put together in the last update? No, I think that was one of the dumbest things to do.

a) First because she excluded a full blown LI, Anna, and I can't really understand the reasoning behind it (which leads me to think she included a sapphic romance option in her story to keep appearances and nothing else: I am not romancing Anna but I don't need to do it to defend others' right to do it and to receive the same attention other LI's enjoy, you know... I wasn't born yesterday, folks). And if, just by chance, we were to discover she excluded her just so she could include Boris, that would actually be the dumbest shit ever.

b) Second, because that move only raises questions about Boris' status within the story, at least for me. Is Boris a LI or is he not? Clarify that, Sasha, not to me, but to yourself, and do it quickly if possible. If he is, let us know clearly. If he is not but you want to establish a connection between Lane and him for plot reasons, wouldn't that be better achieved with personal scenes between him and Lane and no one else, like that former dream she had about him? We are talking about a dead man and some complicated feelings she kept mostly to herself, and I'll be the first to admit I'd prefer if he was Lane's personal dirty little secret.

Still want to include Boris in the oniric orgy? Cool, do so, but include Anna too. He is a casual love interest at best, she is a full-blown LI. Do both or do only her. Don't be dumb, Sasha, dearest.

In just a few days Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released and I'll be saying See You to all of you. I love this fandom and all it's taught me, but right now I don't have a PC or laptop that can actually run DA:TV and I don't want to spoil myself with all the -on the other hand wonderful- content you are all going to share. So I'll be silencing the tags until I can play it (I'd say in a year or so).

I've been thinking about what to do in the meantime, Dragon Age-wise, and concluded the best I could do is give a final shape to my protagonists (Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor and plan a backstory for my Rook), or even writing fanfiction about it.

Anyways, I wish you all happy games and stories, and I'll be seeing you in 2025!
