The first light of dawn had only just begun to stretch across the city when you found yourself tucked behind the counter of a quaint coffee shop, the scent of freshly ground beans swirling around you. The world outside was still waking, the streets bathed in the soft glow of early morning, with only a few souls braving the chill air. It was a quiet hour, the kind that allowed your thoughts to drift as you worked, hands moving almost on their own as you prepared each steaming cup.
It was in this serene moment that the melodic voice of Hanni Pham cut through the stillness, sending an involuntary shiver down your spine. "Aren’t you from my school?" she asked, her tone curious yet soft, as if the question itself carried the weight of familiarity.
Startled, you looked up, your heart skipping a beat as you met her gaze. There she stood, the popular girl everyone knew, her presence commanding the small space. Her dark hair fell in soft waves around her face, and her eyes, bright and inquisitive, were fixed on you.
You had always admired Hanni from afar, her warmth and kindness setting her apart from the rest, but in this unexpected encounter, you couldn’t help but brace yourself for the worst. The echoes of cruel laughter from your peers lingered in your mind, and despite knowing that Hanni wasn’t like the others, a part of you feared that she might still find a way to mock you, just as so many others had done before.
Yet, as you stood there, words caught in your throat, you realized that the girl before you seemed genuinely interested, her expression free of malice. There was no hint of the cruelty you had grown accustomed to; only the simple, honest curiosity of someone who recognized you and wished to connect.
You watch her through the veil of your lashes, barely daring to breathe as you hum in response to her question. The gentle sound of your confirmation seems to light up Hanni’s face, and you find yourself captivated by the way her smile widens, a warmth blooming in her eyes that seems to chase away the lingering shadows of the early morning.
“That’s so cool,” she murmurs, her voice soft and almost reverent as she takes in the cozy atmosphere of the café. The sincerity in her words takes you by surprise, and before you can stop it, a faint blush rises to your cheeks, your heart fluttering in a way that’s both unfamiliar and strangely comforting.
Gathering the courage to speak, you mumble, “What can I get you?” The words are barely above a whisper, your anxiety weaving them into a quiet melody that seems to float between you. Yet, despite your hushed tone, Hanni hears you, her gaze shifting to the menu hanging above you as she ponders her choice.
Her cheeks puff out slightly as she thinks, a gesture so endearing that it momentarily distracts you from your own nerves. You can’t help but notice the way her fingers fidget with the straps of her backpack, a subtle sign of her own anxiety. Somehow, seeing this small vulnerability in her makes you feel a little more at ease, as if you’re not the only one grappling with uncertainty in this unexpected moment.
“I’d like a lemon poppy seed muffin,” Hanni finally decides, her voice breaking the quiet. You quickly enter her order into the register, your fingers moving almost automatically as you try to steady your racing thoughts. Just as you’re about to hand her the receipt, she speaks again, her next question catching you off guard.
“What cold drink would be good with the muffin? There are so many options here that I wouldn’t know where to even start,” she admits with a light laugh, her eyes meeting yours once more.
The question hangs in the air, and for a moment, you’re at a loss for words. But then, you realize she’s genuinely seeking your opinion, and the thought fills you with a quiet sense of responsibility, as though this small decision is more important than it seems.
You take a moment to consider her question, the weight of her expectant gaze making your heart flutter. After a brief pause, you finally gather the courage to speak, your voice soft but sincere. “Well, I personally am a fan of the blue lemonades we have here. It’d pair well with the muffin.”
The morning light seems to dance in Hanni’s gentle eyes as she listens, her smile widening with a warmth that feels like the sun’s first embrace. She nods, her decision made with an easy grace that makes your chest tighten in the best possible way. “Well, then please add a blue lemonade to my order,” she says, her tone filled with a sweetness that lingers in the air like the scent of freshly baked pastries.
You nod, feeling a sense of quiet satisfaction as you prepare her drink, the task becoming almost meditative under the soft glow of her attention. The way she watches you, so trusting and kind, makes you want to do everything just right, to ensure that her experience is as lovely as she is.
When you finally hand her the cool, vibrant blue lemonade, the smile that spreads across her face as she takes the first sip is nothing short of enchanting. There’s a delightful hum that escapes her lips, a sound of pure contentment that resonates in the small space between you, and it’s all you can do to keep your composure.
Even as you clock out and begin your walk toward school, the memory of that moment clings to you like a cherished melody. You can still see her, bathed in the soft morning light, savoring the drink you had carefully prepared. The image of her satisfied smile and the gentle hum of approval replay over and over in your mind, a loop of warmth and wonder.
As you walk, you can’t help but marvel at how someone could possess such an infectious gentleness, a quality that seemed to radiate from her in waves, touching everything around her with its light. It leaves you pondering the possibilities of what it would be like to know her better, to be in the presence of someone who carries such precious warmth within them.
Throughout the day, you caught fleeting glimpses of Hanni as she navigated the bustling corridors of the school, her presence commanding attention without effort. She moved with a graceful ease, surrounded by the usual throngs of admirers and friends, her laughter a melodic thread that wove through the cacophony of voices. It was nothing out of the ordinary—just Hanni being the bright, beloved figure she always was.
But then there was that moment. A moment that took you by surprise, slipping into your day like a whispered secret. Seeking refuge from the noise and chaos of school life, you had retreated to your usual hiding spot behind the school building. It was a place technically off-limits, a secluded nook that offered a rare pocket of silence, where you could steal a few precious moments to yourself. Despite the risk to your perfect record, the solace it provided was worth it, and so you continued to visit, cloaked in the comfort of your solitary sanctuary.
Unbeknownst to you, Hanni had spotted you slipping away and, driven by a quiet curiosity, decided to follow. You were completely unaware of her presence until you looked up to find her standing there, her figure framed by the soft light filtering through the trees. She smiled down at you with that same kind, gentle glint in her eyes, the warmth of her expression melting away the edges of your solitude.
Caught off guard, you felt your heart race as you struggled to find something—anything—to say. Your hiding spot, once a bubble of safety and comfort, suddenly felt exposed under her gaze. Yet, there was no judgment in her eyes, only a serene interest that made you feel oddly understood, as if she, too, sought moments of quiet in a world that never seemed to slow down.
As she approached, your thoughts wavered, torn between wanting her to stay and wishing to retreat back into the silence that had been your companion. But before you could resolve the conflict in your heart, the moment was interrupted. Hanni’s name rang out from across the courtyard, one of her friends calling her back to the lively world she inhabited.
For a brief second, Hanni hesitated, her gaze lingering on you. Then, with a timid wave and another one of those radiant smiles that seemed to light up the air around her, she turned and rejoined her friends, leaving you alone once more. But even as she walked away, the flutter in your chest remained, a gentle echo of the unexpected encounter that left you wondering what might have been had she stayed just a little longer.
You had initially assumed that Hanni’s sudden interest in you, sparked by that brief encounter at the coffee shop, would fade into a distant memory by the next day. It seemed impossible that someone like her would remember you, let alone seek you out again. So when the gentle chime of the bell above the door signaled the arrival of a new customer, you had no reason to expect anything out of the ordinary.
But as you turned your attention from the old, well-worn coffee machine to the door, your breath caught in your throat. There she was, Hanni Pham, her presence as radiant as the morning light spilling through the windows. Her bright eyes locked onto yours, and her smile—so warm, so familiar—seemed to light up the entire room. In that instant, you froze, your mind struggling to process the reality of her standing there, just as it had the day before.
For a moment, you could only stare, wide-eyed and motionless, as she patiently waited for you to finish preparing the coffee for the customer before her. Her unwavering gaze held a kindness that made your heart skip a beat, and by the time you moved back behind the cash register, your hands were trembling, betraying the nervous excitement bubbling within you.
“Hi again,” she greeted you with a polite bow, her voice carrying a surprising cheerfulness that contrasted sharply with your own weary state. There was no trace of the exhaustion you felt from the early morning hours, only an infectious energy that made it impossible not to smile in return.
Despite your nerves, a timid smile found its way to your lips as you mirrored her bow, your heart fluttering at the sight of the school’s most popular girl standing before you once more. Hanni’s presence seemed to fill the space around her with a brightness that made everything else fade into the background, and as you met her gaze again, the familiar sensation of your pulse quickening reminded you just how deeply her unexpected attention affected you.
“Hello,” you managed to reply, though your voice was softer than you intended, a reflection of the sudden shyness that had taken hold of you. There was a slight tremor in your words, a delicate vulnerability that felt impossible to hide. “Welcome back. What can I get for you today?”
Hanni’s smile remained unwavering, a warm, gentle curve that seemed to carry the morning’s light within it. You couldn’t help but notice how the early sunrays, filtering through the shop’s windows, wrapped around her figure like an ethereal halo, casting her in a soft, almost angelic glow. It was as if the world conspired to make her appear even more enchanting, and you found yourself momentarily lost in the quiet radiance she brought with her.
“Yesterday’s muffin was delicious,” she began, her voice as sweet as the treats you served. “But my favorite was the blue lemonade you suggested. So I came back to order it again.” Her words were simple, yet the sincerity in her tone made your heart flutter. As she stepped closer to the counter, resting her elbows on the surface and cupping her cheeks with a childlike charm, you felt a warmth spread through your chest.
The proximity between you suddenly felt too close and yet not close enough, creating a dry lump in your throat that you struggled to swallow. Her presence was almost overwhelming, an intoxicating mix of kindness and curiosity that left you feeling exposed. You nodded timidly, your fingers moving to enter her order into the cash register, though your mind was a flurry of emotions that threatened to unravel your calm facade.
The price of her order tumbled out of your mouth in a hurried, tangled mess, your voice betraying the nervousness that had taken root within you. Desperate to escape the intensity of her gaze, you quickly turned your back to her, focusing all your attention on preparing her drink. The simple task became a lifeline, something to anchor you as you navigated the storm of feelings that her presence had stirred up.
Even as you busied yourself with the routine motions of mixing the drink, you couldn’t shake the awareness of Hanni standing just a few feet away. Her energy filled the space between you, a subtle yet undeniable force that pulled at the edges of your composure. You wondered if she could sense the effect she had on you, if she noticed the way your hands trembled slightly as you worked. And as you prepared her blue lemonade, you couldn’t help but feel that this small, shared moment was something more—something significant that neither of you fully understood yet.
Eventually, you mustered the courage to turn and face her, offering a shy smile as you gently placed her order onto the counter. Hanni hadn’t moved from her spot, still resting her elbows on the counter, her face delicately cradled in her hands. There was a peculiar sense of intrigue in her gaze, a quiet curiosity that sent your heart into a sudden, uneven rhythm. The way she watched you, as if you were the most fascinating thing in the room, made it nearly impossible to meet her eyes.
With a polite bow, you expressed your gratitude for her purchase, though your voice felt small under the weight of her attention. But Hanni didn’t move, her fingers tightening slightly around the paper bag that held her breakfast, a subtle sign of nervousness that mirrored your own. You tried to focus on anything else, but the magnetic pull of her presence was inescapable.
As the silence stretched between you, curiosity finally got the better of you, and you hesitantly looked up, wondering if there was something more she wanted. But the sight that greeted you left you breathless—a soft gasp escaping your lips as your eyes fell on the small daisy held delicately in her free hand. The sight of it was unexpected, and yet it felt like a small, precious gift, laden with unspoken meaning.
Hanni’s cheeks were tinged with a delightful shade of crimson, her flustered expression revealing a vulnerability that only endeared her to you more. There was something so sincere, so utterly charming about the way she stood there, clearly uncertain but still daring enough to offer this simple token.
Before you could find the words to respond, Hanni quickly placed the daisy on the counter, her movements rushed and clumsy, as if she were caught in a whirlwind of emotions. And just as swiftly as she’d offered the flower, she turned and hurried out of the store, her departure leaving you standing there in a daze, the tiny daisy resting between you as the only evidence of the moment you’d just shared.
As you stared at the delicate flower, a smile slowly spread across your face, the warmth of the encounter lingering long after Hanni had gone. There was a quiet magic in that brief exchange, something that left your heart fluttering with possibilities you hadn’t dared to imagine before.
The delicate petals of the daisy, left thoughtfully on the counter, held your gaze as you turned it over in your fingers. It seemed to have been plucked from someone's garden, its simplicity making the gesture all the more touching. A warmth spread through your chest, swelling your heart with a mix of surprise and quiet joy. You couldn't help but giggle softly, the sound escaping as you replayed the moment in your mind—the timid way Hanni had offered the flower, her usual composure replaced by an endearing awkwardness.
It felt almost surreal to think of Hanni Pham, the girl admired by so many, standing before you in such a flustered state. At school, she was always the picture of confidence, effortlessly navigating the throngs of students who adored her. Yet here she was, reduced to nervousness by something as simple as a daisy. The contrast was striking, and it made the encounter feel all the more intimate, like you had glimpsed a side of her that few others ever saw.
As your shift came to an end, you reluctantly changed into your school uniform, your thoughts still lingering on the unexpected exchange. Carefully, you slipped the daisy into the front pocket of your shirt, feeling its gentle weight against your heart. The thought of seeing Hanni again at school filled you with a mix of anticipation and hope. Perhaps she would notice the flower in your pocket, and understand just how much you appreciated her sweet, unspoken message.
But as the day wore on and you wandered the familiar hallways, your eyes scanning the crowds, a sense of disappointment began to creep in. No matter where you looked, Hanni was nowhere to be found. The absence of her bright smile and warm presence left you feeling strangely empty, as if a small but significant part of your day was missing. And as the hours passed, you couldn't help but wonder if the moment you'd shared had meant as much to her as it had to you, or if it had simply been a fleeting gesture, lost in the flow of time.
Two days had slipped by since Hanni Pham last stepped into the cozy coffee shop where you worked, and though she had only visited twice before, her absence was keenly felt. A quiet sense of disappointment settled over you, mingled with confusion at the sudden shift between you. What had changed? Had you somehow messed up her lemonade in your nervousness the last time she was there? The thought nagged at you, as did the unsettling possibility that her visits had been part of some cruel joke—a way for her and her friends to laugh at your awkwardness.
Yet, despite these doubts, the daisy she left behind held your skepticism at bay. It was a simple, delicate thing, but it had spoken volumes—a gesture that seemed too genuine to be part of any prank. The memory of that moment, her flustered expression and the way she had hurried out of the shop, kept replaying in your mind, offering a glimmer of hope amidst your uncertainty. Maybe, just maybe, there was more to her visits than met the eye.
Since then, you had crossed paths with Hanni a few times, though each encounter was more awkward than the last. Every time your eyes met across the school grounds, a flush would creep up her cheeks, and she would quickly avert her gaze before hurrying off, leaving you standing there with a mix of bewilderment and curiosity. It was as if the daisy had created an invisible thread between you, a connection that neither of you fully understood yet couldn’t ignore. And as the days passed, you couldn’t help but wonder what had really changed, and whether that fragile thread would ever be strengthened—or if it would simply unravel, leaving you with nothing but the memory of a fleeting smile and a flower wilting in your pocket.
You found yourself staring through the large windows of the coffee shop, eyes narrowed at the relentless downpour outside. The rain fell in heavy sheets, turning the world beyond the glass into a blur of gray and silver. The day had begun with a slight humidity hanging in the air, a remnant of the previous night's showers. You'd assumed that as the hours passed, the weather would warm, and the clouds would part. Yet here you were, watching as the rain refused to let up, silently cursing yourself for not bringing an umbrella—just in case.
Frustration simmered within you as you glanced toward your sleepy boss, who was slowly shuffling through receipts at the counter. Hope flickered briefly as you approached him, thinking perhaps he might have a spare umbrella stashed away somewhere—something to shield you from the impending drenching on your walk to school. But when he looked up at you with a pitiful expression, his lips forming a small, regretful frown, your heart sank. The unspoken words hung between you: there was no umbrella, no shelter from the storm.
The realization settled over you like a damp fog, and your shoulders slumped in resignation. You would be forced to face the harsh rain, its cold fingers reaching for you the moment you stepped outside. The thought of trudging through the downpour, schoolbag clutched protectively to your chest, sent a wave of irritation coursing through you. Yet, beneath that frustration, a quiet resolve began to form. You could handle a little rain, even if it meant arriving at school soaked to the bone. The day, after all, had to go on, and so would you—even if it meant battling the elements on your own.
Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself for the discomfort awaiting you—a day where your clothes would cling to you like a second skin, soaked through with rainwater. The thought of spending hours in a wet uniform, cold and miserable, while enduring the stares of your classmates made your stomach twist with dread. There was no escaping it now, though, and no one to blame but yourself for not being wise enough to carry an umbrella, despite the unpredictable weather.
As you stepped out onto the slick sidewalk, the rain assaulted you immediately, each droplet stinging like a million tiny needles against your skin. You broke into a brisk jog, your feet splashing through puddles as you hurried toward the school. The dark clouds above loomed ominously, their wrath evident in the relentless downpour that showed no signs of relenting.
Clutching your backpack tightly to your chest, you bowed your head low in a futile attempt to shield your belongings from the soaking rain. The chill of the wet fabric seeped through your uniform, clinging to your body uncomfortably, making every movement a reminder of your unfortunate situation. With each step, the wetness seeped deeper, the cold tightening its grip on you as you pushed forward, determined to reach the relative shelter of the school as quickly as possible.
A torrent of curses swirled in your mind as you hurried through the relentless downpour, your drenched hair constantly slipping into your eyes, obstructing your vision. Each time you swiped it away, the rain would only force it back, a ceaseless battle that left you increasingly frustrated. Your breath came in ragged, exhausted pants, and with each step, a wave of pure misery washed over you as you realized just how much further you still had to go before reaching the safety of your school. The thought alone was enough to make your heart sink even deeper into despair.
Then, as if the universe had decided to offer you a sliver of mercy, you heard a voice—a familiar one—shout your name from behind. Startled, you nearly stumbled, your momentum causing you to skid to a halt as you spun around, searching for the source of the call. You didn't know who it could be, but you certainly hadn't expected to see Hanni Pham, completely dry under the shelter of a bright blue umbrella, sprinting toward you with surprising speed.
Her cheeks were flushed, though you quickly rationalized that it must have been from her running. You stood there, drenched and slightly bewildered, as she closed the distance between you, your heart racing—not just from the physical exertion but from the unexpected sight of her. Hesitantly, you waited, unsure of what to expect, as she caught up to you, her presence like a beacon of unexpected warmth in the cold, miserable rain.
Hanni reached out clumsily, her hand gripping your shoulder as she stumbled, nearly colliding with you in her haste to stop. She barely managed to avoid knocking you over, her breath coming in short, labored gasps as she tried to regain her balance. The umbrella she held hovered above the two of you, offering a small but much-needed refuge from the relentless rain. You couldn’t help but release a relieved sigh, though you had to hunch down slightly to fit under the cover, given her shorter stature. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, you tried your best to ignore the maddening flutter of your heart caused by her unexpected kindness.
While you were grateful for her sudden appearance, a mild irritation simmered beneath the surface. It had been two days since Hanni had seemingly vanished from your life after being so unexpectedly kind toward you. And now, here she was, as if nothing had happened. To you, it didn’t matter that, according to the unspoken rules of your high school’s social hierarchy, someone as beloved and popular as Hanni Pham wasn’t supposed to be seen interacting with someone like you, someone considered so low on that very same ladder. You were well aware of the invisible barriers meant to keep your worlds apart, but in that moment, none of it mattered.
What did matter was the fact that Hanni had, of her own volition, turned your plain and awkward interactions into something else when she plucked a daisy and left it for you at the coffee shop, her cheeks ablaze with an emotion you couldn’t quite decipher. It wasn’t fair for her to initiate such a change and then leave you hanging, avoiding you as if nothing had happened. As Hanni finally straightened her posture, catching her breath and seemingly ready to speak, she was met with your carefully guarded but unmistakably annoyed expression. You regarded her with a mix of curiosity and frustration, waiting for the explanation you felt you deserved.
Despite the chilly edge in your gaze, Hanni made an effort to appear nonchalant. Her laughter, though light, betrayed a tremor of nervousness as she twirled the ends of her slightly damp hair around her finger. Even in your state of irritation, you found yourself inexplicably charmed by the sight of her. Her eyes, despite the oppressive gray clouds and relentless rain, sparkled with a warmth reminiscent of the gentle morning sun that would occasionally filter through the coffee shop's windows, casting a soft, inviting glow.
You maintain your composure, raising a single eyebrow at her as she fumbles to address the situation. “Uh, it’s a good thing I spotted you and had my umbrella,” she murmured, her voice nearly swallowed by the cacophony of rain. The casualness in her tone only served to heighten your irritation. It was clear she wanted to gloss over the fact that she had vanished for two days without a word, and you were determined not to let her do so.
With a hint of measured annoyance, you replied, “It’s good to see you again, Hanni.”
Her reaction was immediate—an almost imperceptible wince at the subtle bite in your voice. For the first time since her transfer to your school, you saw her frown, and the sight of it struck you with a pang of guilt. The weight of knowing you were the cause of that rare expression was almost suffocating. Yet, despite the tug of empathy in your chest, you knew you had to stand firm. You weren’t someone to be manipulated or dismissed, and you refused to be treated as a mere pawn in whatever game she might have been playing.
"I noticed you kept the flower I gave you in your front pocket all day," she began softly, her gaze fixed on the wet pavement as if seeking comfort in its familiarity. "It looked really nice." Her words were barely above a whisper, and you responded with a half-hearted hum, trying to ignore the rapid fluttering of your heart. Hanni let out a quiet, defeated sigh as she finally summoned the courage to meet your unyielding gaze. "Look, I panicked, okay?"
Her sudden confession caught you off guard, your eyes widening in surprise as your lips parted slightly. A deep crimson blush crept up her cheeks, but despite the embarrassment, she held her gaze steady, even as her hands trembled while keeping the umbrella positioned over both of you, shielding you from the relentless downpour. "You’ll probably think I’m some crazy stalker, but here goes: I’ve had this silly little crush on you for the past year, and it all started one Saturday while you were working. I just stood there, watching you do your thing. You have this kind and soft smile that really caught my attention. And I promise, I wasn’t following you or anything, but after that, I just kept seeing you everywhere. You’re so quiet, and I really wanted to get closer to you.
"One day, I decided I’d try sitting with you at lunch, but you kept disappearing somewhere, and I could never find you. So, I kind of gave up for a while. Then, the other day, I forgot to eat breakfast and ended up stopping by your shop, not even knowing you worked there in the mornings. And, well, the next day, I stupidly gave you that flower out of nowhere, and then I just got really embarrassed. I couldn’t look at you after that because I was so sure you thought I was some weirdo or something. And maybe I was because I kept watching you from afar, hiding, and I noticed you were looking for me in all the places I usually hung out. But I still couldn’t bring myself to come out. Until today."
Hanni inhaled deeply as she concluded her startling confession, her chest rising and falling with the weight of words she had kept bottled up for so long. It dawned on you that she hadn’t taken a single breath as she rambled on, pouring out her heart without pause. You stood there, stunned, as her words echoed in your mind, causing a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts to spiral within you.
You struggled to make sense of it all, your mind racing back through the year’s memories, searching for any sign that might have hinted at her feelings. But try as you might, you couldn’t recall a single instance where Hanni had paid you any mind. All this time, you had believed you were invisible to her, just another face in the crowd, irrelevant in the bright, popular world she inhabited. The realization that you had been wrong, that she had noticed you all along, was a revelation you never expected—certainly not now, and certainly not like this.
Of course, you had always found Hanni intriguing. There was something about her that drew your gaze whenever she was near, a quiet magnetism that you could never fully explain. But you had kept your distance, never daring to imagine that your paths would ever truly cross. It was safer that way, you thought—to admire her from afar, to keep her at the edges of your thoughts, a fleeting presence that you could easily dismiss. That was, until she walked into the coffee shop where you worked for the first time, shattering the careful distance you had maintained.
You couldn't help but feel a wave of fondness wash over you as you observed Hanni, her wide eyes filled with anticipation, brows furrowed in a mix of worry and hope. The frown that lingered on her lips tugged at your heartstrings, and despite the frustration you’d felt moments ago, your resolve began to crumble. Slowly, a warm smile spread across your face, softening the tension that had hung between you.
“You’re so silly, you know that?” you teased, letting out a light giggle as you playfully poked her cheek. The irritation you’d held onto melted away, replaced by the warmth of the moment.
Hanni let out a sigh of relief, her own giggle bubbling up to join yours. The sound was contagious, and you found yourself laughing along with her, the earlier awkwardness dissolving into the gentle rhythm of your shared laughter.
“Let’s walk to school together, yeah?” you asked, your voice tender and inviting. You could hardly contain the surge of affection that welled up inside you when Hanni’s entire face lit up in response. Her eyes sparkled with a happiness that was impossible to miss, and she nodded vigorously, her excitement palpable.
Without another word, the two of you turned to walk side by side, the rain now a mere backdrop to the warmth that blossomed between you. For the first time, you found yourselves heading to school together, a quiet sense of joy settling into the space you shared.

— despite being pretty playful, i think she would be understanding. like she’s willing to hear you out and would change anything that you don’t like or whatnot.
— whenever she sees you sad, she instantly goes and check up on you. 😧 THIS EMOJI IS HER. and she would be like “what’s wrong?” as she rubs on your back.
— when one of you is stressed/sad (or both), she’d suggest taking a walk outside just to clear up your/her mind a bit. a bonus if it’s at night, since she loves taking walks at night.
— would probably try to make you laugh but end up laughing at herself before she could. but that doesn’t matter, since her laugh is contagious, it ends up with you laughing as well.
— probably loves matching stuff! i think she’d get really excited with matching necklaces, and even matching wallpapers!
— she’s just really comforting to be around, and you’ll never be bored when she’s around!
— forces you to watch movies with her. like she would get all excited when she finds a new movie to watch with you. so when she’s all giddy, who are you to refuse?? movie nights/dates are definitely your thing w/ her!
— likes taking silly pics and vids 😭 and whenever you tell her to delete it off your phone, she just goes “but you’re so cute here!” which explains why she has a whole album of you and her…(you also get a separate album of js you on her phone <3)

𝐊𝐈𝐌 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐉𝐈 ── ❝ You smell pretty today... ❞
“You too!” You blurted out, right before realizing you'd gotten your words mixed up, “Wait- I meant to say you look pretty, but... I guess I mean both? Gosh, does that even make sense?”
A tiny smile spread across Minji's features at your adorable timidness, her boot-clad feet taking a few steps towards you before pulling you close, gracing your frame with a tender hug, “It makes perfect sense, weirdo… thanks...”
Her voice was calm and soothing as usual, despite the way it made butterflies swarm in the spot where your heart should be. You couldn't really explain it, but something about Minji's energy always had a way of making you look and feel like a lovesick geek by time you got a proper sentence out—
“So,” she began again, breaking from the embrace and looking you straight in the eye, her hands resting at your shoulders, “when were you gonna tell me about this little crush you have on me?”
Your eyes widened like you had seen a ghost, a nervous chuckle slipping past your lips as she tilted her head at you, just as you muttered a distracting, “Right after I told you which Victoria's Secret fragrance I'm wearing?”
𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈 𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐌 ── ❝ Crystals? As a gesture?... ❞
“Pfft, of course!” Hanni replied matter-of-factly, “just like how you gave me coins for that gum-ball machine we passed earlier… but who's keeping track of all that stuff anyways?”
“You, apparently...,” you said as a gentle laugh escaped your lips at her quirky reply, “but touché, Hanni Pham... what should I do with these?”
“Hmmm,” she hummed, cupping your right palm in her own as the colorful stones glittered beneath the mall’s sunroof, “you can put them under your pillow at night!... o-or maybe even stash them in your purse so you can think about me wherever you go!”
“As if I'd need a crystal’s assistant with that,” you teased, ruffling her hair slightly with your free hand. “These are cool, though,” you went on, heart warming at both the feeling of your hand in hers and at the unique gift, “very sweet of you...”
“Eh, I tryyyy,” she replied smugly, right before blowing a tiny pink bubble with the gum she chewed, only to spit the leftover candy into a napkin and ask, “wanna close your eyes and guess what flavor you taste on me?...”
𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐇 ── ❝ I like your sweater… ❞
“Oh, this old thing?” Danielle asked with her warm Australian accent, taking the colorful sweater’s hem in her fingers to examine it's loose threads, “My nana knit this for me like... forever ago...”
“Well it's cool to see she was a step ahead of fashion trends back then,” you smiled, letting your hand brush over the soft yarn of her sleeve... That's when a certain question arose in your head:
“Random, but by chance, are you any good with using chopsticks?” You asked, wanting to keep the conversation going.
“Oh, for sure! I’m basically a pro at it,” she boasted, flipping her curly locks in a cartoonish manner.
“Sweet! I have two coupons for two different places. One for a craft store, and another for a sushi bar… only thing is that they both expire tomorrow,” You went on, hoping that she'd catch your drift without you having to state any specifics...
“Oh? Well it'd be a total bummer to let them go to waste,” she shrugged, hooking her arm in yours before tugging you along with her, “we better get going quick before they run out of sashimi… or yellow yarn…”
𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍 ── ❝ Can I come in please...? ❞
You heard a gentle voice call from behind your bedroom door, face buried into the largest pillow you could find given the sob-fest you had earlier…
“The door’s unlocked,” you sniffled, turning over on your bed to face her as she peaked from behind the door, her bright smile not even fading at the sight of you.
“I brought some heartwarming treats and DVD’s!” She began, voice just as pleasant as it always was. Haerin made her way to sit beside you on the bed, opening one of your favorite candy bars and handing it to you.
“How’d y’know I was upset?” You asked before taking a bite of the candy, chuckling a bit at the way she watched you so intently while doing so.
“I didn’t,” she went on plainly, “… I already wanted to surprise you today and just got lucky that it ended up being at a time where you needed it most…”
“Awww,” you pouted, dropping the candy bar to pull her into a hug, “you’re literally the best friend I could ask for, Haerin… thank you for coming to see me…”
“Of course,” she whispered, mind lingering on the word friend for a moment, even though she was certain you meant something a little more than that…
“So,” she began again, breaking from the contact and reaching for the TV remote, “Wanna rewatch Mean Girls or Clueless first?”
𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐇𝐘𝐄𝐈𝐍 ── ❝ Can I touch your hair? ❞
You asked the question for one reason: You were bored out of your mind from waiting at the bus stop, and playing with Hyein’s hair seemed like a fun way to pass the time…
“Oh, sure!” She chirped, immediately straightening her posture on the park bench as you scooted closer to where she sat, taking her wavy locks into your grasp.
Hyein’s round eyes wandered to the sparkly pink Juicy Couture purse you wore over your shoulder, compelling her to ask, “What’s in the bag?”
“Oh- just some barrette’s and hair clips I got from Claire’s yesterday,” you replied, pausing to click open your purse and show her the different kinds, “Thought you might be interested in some extra bling, so…”
“You know me far too well then, ____,” she smiled, scanning each package with her eyes before suggesting that you decide which hair-clip style she would wear, and vice versa.
You let out a simple “Okay” at her offer, reaching for the pack of silver shooting stars for her hair while she held the pack of butterfly clips beside your face, a satisfied look spreading across her features.
“These are gonna look gorgeous on you,” Hyein smiled, right before opening the pack of butterflies clips and popping a few different colored ones in her palm, “This is too fun already, hehe… I can decorate your hair first, right?…”

❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ ❚ 𓍢 BAD INFLUENCE kang haerin x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
↳ warnings yn is haerins “friend”, yn is apart of baby monster, minji and yn going at each other throats
"ugh, I hate them so much," minji groaned, her voice laced with frustration. hanni chuckled at her friend's dramatic reaction, amused by minji’s strong feelings.
"I will never understand what you have against YG artists, they're talented," hanni remarked, shaking her head in disbelief at minji’s disdain.
"and cool," danielle chimed in, coming to the defense of YG artists. "have you seen blackpink?" she added, trying to make her point.
"I don’t know, they just rub me the wrong way, like they’re so aggressive," minji explained, her expression tense as she tried to articulate her feelings.
hanni opens her mouth to argue but is cut off by a loud cackle.
the three girls exchanged puzzled glances as they observed their friend. she sat cross-legged, utterly engrossed in her phone, her laughter ringing out for the fifth time in as many minutes. each giggle seemed to pull her deeper into whatever held her attention, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the screen. the others leaned in, trying to catch a glimpse of what could be causing such amusement, they’ve never seen the girl like this before.
minji was the first to voice her concern, “why are you so giggly” haerin looked up from her phone with she opens her mouth to respond but is cut off by the youngest that enters the room.
“it’s her cool girlfriend.” hyein says teasingly as she sits beside the cat like girl who sends her a glare.
“she’s my friend.” she says as hyein laughs and minji’s face relaxes.
“you have a new friend?”danielle asks in the shock, haerin wasn’t much of a talker like the most of them so it shocked her to see that the girl got a friend and they don’t know them.
“and she’s cool?” hanni said with a scrunched face like that was the most craziest thing she’s ever heard which caused haerin to shoot her a offended look.
"hyein thinks everyone is cool," haerin interjected, glancing up briefly from her phone. "but I think she's pretty cool," she added, her voice barely above a whisper.
"she's sooo cool," hyein exaggerated to the rest of the group. "She's an idol too."
"If she's as cool as Hyein is saying, then I want to meet her," minji said, her curiosity piqued.
hanni nodded in agreement, eager to meet haerin's new friend, while herin looked up from her phone in shock.
"What?" she asked, her voice barely audible.
"Yeah, let's meet her," danielle chimed in, with enthusiasm. "Invite her over tomorrow."
haerin would rather not invite her friend to meet her members especially minji, but looking at their faces made her reluctantly nod.
“okay, I’ll call her about it later, me and her are hanging out tomorrow anyways.”
danielle's excitement bubbled over as she tidied up every corner of the dorm, ensuring everything was in its proper place. she glanced over at haerin, who seemed lost in thought, her gaze fixed on some distant point. danielle paused, a smile tugging at her lips, as she gently nudged her friend's shoulder. "aren't you feeling the excitement too?"
haerin jumped slightly at the sudden sound of her friend's voice nodding.
"of course she is," hanni chimed in, her voice carrying a hint of amusement as she joined danielle and haerin.
"especially hyein. she's been going on and on about this mystery girl, driving us all a little crazy with curiosity."
“yeah, but let’s not jump on her.” minji adds when she enters the room, haerin shrunk into her seat at the leaders words, oh she does not know what’s gonna hit her.
“what time is she coming?”
“she should be coming right about-“ haerin starts but is cut off by a knock at the door.
danielle jumps up immediately and practically runs to the door hyein coming from the corner following her as well, while minji follows shortly behind them and hanni stays beside haerin flashing the girl a smile.
the door opens to reveal a girl with darker clothes her fingers adorned with an array of silver rings that glinted in the soft light of the room. among them, a particular ring caught the eye, with the word "mon" etched onto its surface, adding an intriguing touch to her attire.
her gaze, initially downcast towards her shoes, slowly lifted to meet the expectant stares of the three girls gathered at the door. despite the partial cover of her eyes beneath a bucket hat.
minji turned to look behind her and saw a curious hanni and a nervous looking haerin, she furrows her eyebrows before looking back at the door.
“hello.” her voice was intimidating but in a flash she gives them a cute smile, “it’s so exciting to meet you guys, is haerin here?”
“ah, yes she is, haerin!” danielle calls for the cat like girl, haerin gets up from her seat immediately and pushes through her
members.
“hey.” she says quietly.
“hi.” the girl smiles, before looking at the rest of the girls.
haerin grabs her arm and pulls her inside while the rest of the girls look at them, minji was glaring more than just looking.
“yn unnie!” as hyein's exclamation filled the room, her excitement full, she made her way towards the older girl with an eager smile, her eyes filled with admiration. yn, in turn, greeted her with a warm smile of acknowledgement, a subtle nod of recognition passing between them before her attention returned to the group.
there’s silence before danielle gasps.
“baby monster!” she exclaims walk closer to yn, “you’re apart of baby monster! you’re ring makes sense now.”
yn nods while minji buds in, “it’s pretty obvious, look at her.” yn definitely picked up on the leaders tone and tilted her head while the rest of the girls  looked at each other nervously, already knowing the older girls distaste for yg artists.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” yn says causing everyone to look at each other with raised brows while minji narrows her eyes at the younger girl.
haerin linked her arm with yn and pulled the girl closer to her, “let’s go sit.” she says practically dragging the girl with her as the rest of the girls follow.
they all settle down, awkward silence filling the room.
“so, what’s your position in your group?” hanni asks trying her best to fuses the tension.
“I’m a rapper,” yn starts but is cut off by minji muttering “of course.”
yn scrunched her face before continuing, “but, I also sing and dance, I’m pretty good at everything.” she says with a cocky tone looking directly at minji while haerin leans closer into yn’s side trying her best to hide her giggle.
hyein laughs at the older girls words, “she’s right she’s really good at everything.” she adds expressing her admiration while minji rolls her eyes.
“so how did you meet haerin?” danielle asks eagerly.
yn sends haerin a smug look while the girl looks off to the side embarrassed, “she just followed me out of nowhere on instagram, right after my entertainment posted my introduction.”
haerin pinched yn’s side while hanni let out a loud laugh, “you’re such a stalker.” she says causing the other girls to laugh.
minji cuts the laughs off, “do all of you guys dress like this?”
“like what?” haerin answers for yn, already not liking where this is going.
“like that.” minji says towards yn, who laughed and stuck her tongue to the side of her cheek.
“we are known our good style.” yn says, playing with her rings, “you know, first brand ambassadors and everything.” she adds shadily, “kinda the reason why everyone else is as well, you would know right?… minji unnie.”
hanni snickers and danielle smacks her arm while hyein just looks between the two older girls.
minji just stares at yn while flashes her a smile.
haerin clears her throat immediately getting yn’s attention, “we should get going.” she says , wanting to get out of there immediately.
“so fast?” danielle asks looking up at the girls who stand up from the couch.
“yup.” haerin says making her way to the door, dragging yn with her who looks behind and gives everyone a smile, “it was nice meeting you guys, I’ll make sure to bring her home on time.” she adds flashing minji a wink who practically has steam coming from her ears.
when the door closes minji is the first to break the silence as they all look at the door.
“she’s going to be a bad influence.
“more like, she’s gonna drive you nuts.” hanni adds laughing.
“I need to go lie down.”

the room was filled with the warm buzz of excitement, the familiar hum of the “phoning” group live streaming setting everything into motion.
the girls sat in a semicircle, laughing and chatting animatedly, each member taking turns reading comments and responding to fans. the atmosphere was lively, filled with their natural camaraderie.
you sat beside hanni, your shoulder occasionally brushing against the older girl's arm. their closeness felt easy and comfortable.
you didn’t think much of it, too focused on the comments rolling in on the phone screen and the laughter bubbling up around them.
“so, what’s everyone’s favorite song right now?” minji asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. each member took turns answering, their voices overlapping in a chorus of different songs.
hanni turned to you with a bright smile. “what about you, y/n?” she asked, leaning in closer than usual to hear your answer.
their faces were inches apart, and for a moment, time seemed to slow down.
you turned your head at the same time, not realizing how close hanni was. your noses brushed, and lips were a breath away from meeting.
neither of you noticed the proximity. it was a fleeting moment, too short to register, but just long enough for the fans watching live to catch it. the chat exploded in a frenzy of heart emojis and shocked messages.
the rest of the members were too busy talking to notice, but you and hanni stayed unaware of what had just almost happened.
─────
a few days later, they were back on another “phoning” live, sitting in the same positions. you and hanni ended up next to each other again, something that was becoming a regular occurrence.
this time, though, there was something different.
hanni seemed quieter, her usual bubbly self slightly subdued. she kept stealing glances at you, her cheeks pink whenever she did.
you, however, were focused on the comments, your face lit up as you read through the fan questions.
“oh, this one’s fun,” you said, leaning closer to the screen to read it out loud. without realizing it, you shifted even closer to hanni.
hanni turned her head to answer the question, and again, your faces were only inches apart. the memory of the last close-call made hanni’s heart race, a flush spreading across her cheeks.
she froze, caught between wanting to pull back and the strange, magnetic pull she felt toward you.
you noticed the sudden stillness and glanced at hanni, your brows furrowing in concern. “unnie, are you okay?” you asked. the genuine worry in your voice made hanni’s heart skip a beat.
she quickly nodded, tearing her gaze away, focusing intently on the screen.
“yeah, i’m fine,” hanni replied, her voice sounding a little higher than usual. you didn’t push, but the fans caught it all.
the chat buzzed with speculation, comments flooding in about hanni’s flustered reaction.
─────
the next time they did another live, hanni tried to be more careful. she made a mental note to sit a little further from you, just to avoid any more close calls.
but somehow, as the night went on and the conversation flowed, she found herself inching closer again. it was like a magnet, pulling her in without her realizing it.
you seemed oblivious to the subtle tension. you were in your element, joking around and reading fan comments with your usual cheerful demeanor.
as the live went on, you noticed a question in the chat and smirked playfully.
“someone asked if hanni and i are the best of friends or something more,” you read aloud, your tone teasing. you turned to hanni with a mischievous glint in your eyes.
“what do you think, unnie?”
hanni’s eyes widened, her heart thumping wildly in her chest. you were looking at her with that soft, teasing smile, the one that made her feel like the air had been knocked out of her lungs.
“i—uh, we’re—” hanni stammered, her face heating up as she struggled to find words.
you leaned in closer, your voice dropping to a whisper meant only for hanni. “you’re blushing, unnie,” you said, your tone light, but there was something else there too. something that made hanni’s breath catch.
the fans went wild, the chat a blur of excitement. hanni’s reaction was everything they had hoped for, her face turning an even deeper shade of red.
you chuckled softly, satisfied with your playful tease, but your gaze lingered on hanni for a moment longer, an unreadable expression in your eyes.
hanni couldn’t meet your gaze, her mind a swirl of confusion and the unfamiliar fluttering in her chest. she tried to focus on anything but your lingering presence beside her, the warmth of their closeness.
the live went on, filled with laughter and more lighthearted moments, but the memory of your words and the almost-kiss moments lingered, leaving both girls with thoughts they couldn’t quite shake.

PAIRING: kim minji x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
GENRE: fluff, one shot
WORD COUNT: 1,014
WARNINGS: none<3
it was 9pm, minji sat on the couch in the living room, watching tv to pass the time. the sky was dark grey, a color which slowly turned even darker. the sound of raindrops hitting the window could faintly be heard. she looked curious out the window at the rain, now falling. as she continued to look outside, a loud rumble of thunder could be heard in the distance. she got up from the couch, deciding to go get herself a glass of water from the kitchen. she opened the cabinet and reached for a glass, filling it with water as she stood in the kitchen, listening to the rain. another rumble of thunder was heard, this time louder than the last. she glanced at the door, wondering if it would be a good idea to go outside and enjoy the rain…
suddenly, the doorbell rang throughout the apartament. she stood for a moment, unsure who would be at the door late at night. she places the glass on the counter, walking over the door. she opened the door, her eyes widening when she saw you standing in front of the door, your hair and clothes already soaking wet.
"y/n? what the hell are you doing here?" she says, grabbing you by the wrist and pulling you inside before closing the door. "come on in"
"i was on my way home when it started to rain. i didnt have an umbrella and i was already wet, as you can see, so i rang your doorbell hoping i could stay until the rain slows down a bit" you explained to her.
"oh, you should've called or text me, you know i would've picked you up instead of having you walking through rain like that!" she quickly grabbed a towel from the bathroom and handed it to you. "here, dry yourself off. i'll grab you some dry clothes. you can't stay in those, you'll catch a cold"
you nodded, taking the towel and beginning to dry your hair. minji disappeared down the hall for a moment, leaving you alone in the living room. the sound of the rain continued to beat against the window. the thunder rambled again. when minji returned, she had a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie in her hands.
"these should fit you" she said, offering a smile. "bathroom's just down the hall."
"thanks minji, i really appreciate this."
"i'm just glad you came here instead of staying out in the storm."
you headed to the bathroom to change. minji had always been there for you, no matter what. it was moments like these that made you realize how much she cared.
when you retunred to the living toom, minji was already sitting back on the couch, the tv still on, but muted now. she looked up as you entered, patting the spot next to her.
"feel better?" she asked as you sat down.
"much better." you replied with an undeniable smile. the warm clothes and the coziness atmoshpere of minji's apartment made you feel completely safe and relaxed.
"actually, i was thinking about going outside and enjoy the rain," minji said suddenly, after a moment of silence. "but… im glad i didnt, cause then i would have missed you…"
"you actually enjoy the rain?"
"yeah." minji nodded, with a small smile. "its soothing. but tonight, i dont need to go outside to feel that way.."
"why not?" you inquired.
"because i've got you," she said softly "that's all i need"
both of you sat quietly for a moment, the room dimly lit by the light of the tv. despire the storm raging outside, there was a sense of peace, like everything was exactly as it should be,
"minji, thanks for letting me stay"
"you never have to thank me. my door is always open for you, y/n. besides, i dont think the rain will stop anytime soon, so why not stay here for the night? we could watch a movie too, if you're not too tired."
"minji… really its ok, i dont want to-"
"no, y/n, please." she immediatly cuts you off and without even realizing, she starts holding onto your hand, not wanting you to leave "stay here with me." she said, looking at you with puppy eyes.
"hey, dont look at me with those eyes now… you know i cant say no that way" you say, cupping her face softly, running the thumb across her cheek as you look into her eyes.
minji was all smiles at the simple gesture, feeling warm and safe in your hand. "so, stay?" she asks.
"yes, i'll stay." you reassure her. minji was very excited to spend the night with you. you could see it on her face too. as she suggested, she put on a movie, brought a blanket and some extra pillows too, so you both could get more comfy on the couch. if that wasn't enough, she made some popcorn and you know nothing can beat the smell of hot popcorn, fresh out of the microwave. you couldnt help but smile at her enthusiasm as she fussed around making sure everything was just right. the atmosphere was perfect. the storm outside only added to the ambience, making the inisde feel like heaven.
as the movie began, minji rested her head on your shoulder. you could feel her hand resting gently on your thigh. the closeness was natural. you adjusted slightly, making sure the blanket covered you both and without thinking, you let your hand fall to caress her hair, feeling her strands slide between your fingers. it seemed as though time had stopped, the outisde world forgotten and only the two of you were left in that little bubble.
"y/n," minji spoke in a quiet tone. "im realy glad youre here tonight."
"me too, minji," you replied, your voice just as soft. "i wouldnt wanna be anywhere else."
you werent sure where this was going. the fact that you were there, spending a night that seemed like it was meant to be, was all that counted.

student council president and the student council media officer!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings : Kim Minji x gn! reader
genre : fluff!
a/n : this is my first fic, hope you like it!
parts: part 1
warnings : none (?)
Tumblr media
Being the member of the student council was atrocious, - especially as a loner who had little to no friends, probably 4-5 friends who were all - well the same as you, unlike you tho, you had a 90-98 score average, making you the smartest of the group.
You also had a crush on the student council president, Kim Minji. She always eyed you as you did your projects, making advertisements for the school, and others. Keeping a steadfast glare on you, your hands, shaked as they edited the poster you were gonna submit, clicking the mouse as you added decorations.
Next Day
As you walked through the hallways of the school, you reached to open your locker, but, a tap on your shoulder emerged, making you jump, as you moved your head to your back, you found her. Kim Minji, smiling at you with utmost sincerity, her soft eyes boring into yours, a warm feeling engulfed your body, your stomach having butterflies flutter inside them,
ahem.
“y/n? hello?” Minji spoke softly, she probably called your name 3-4 times, before you realized and answered, “yeah? w-whats wrong?” you stuttered out, heat rising to your cheeks as she was almost too close to you, “well, i just wanted to ask if you finished the poster yet.. its almost 4 days before the deadline.” your eyes widened, forgetting to press submit last night as you were pulling an all-nighter, god..
you responded with, “y-yeah, yeah, i just need to finish some stuff- and i’ll be done..! yeah..” You regretted stuttering, how could you stutter infront of a pretty and polite girl like her? god, you’re messing up your chances, you thought.
“Oh.. alright then.. good luck!” She responded with, enthuasism in her voice, she smiled cheekily as she returned to her group of friends, well - popular, group of friends.
As she walked away, you couldn’t help but think you had a crush on her, tho, the warm feeling engulfing you had turned cold by now, - the butterflies that once fluttered, flied out of your stomach.
how could a loser like you have a chance with her?
3rd Period
The bell ringed, waking your half lidded eyes as you gathered your materials, shoving them into your backpack as you walked out of the class. Walking towards your locker, you opened it, as a note fell down to the floor, picking it up, you opened it carefully, it wrote,
“hey, y/n, if you’re free, would you like to meet up at the park afterschool, i’ll be at the swings, waiting.
sincerely,
xxx xxxxx.”
weird.. the name was blacked out with black ink.. you shoved the note into your coats pockets, leaving it as a reminder if you forgot, which, you would never.
as school had already ended, you stormed through the halls to the exit door, as it was raining, you had to ask your friend for an umbrella, since, they always brought an extra one just incase.
“hey, could i borrow an umbrella?”
you softly spoke, a smile painted on your face.
“sure, make sure to return tomorrow, yeah?”
they responded, handing you the umbrella
“thanks, i promise i’ll return it safe.”
you said, taking the umbrella and opening it.
“have a good day, then.”
they replied, as they walked to their car, exiting school grounds
as you walked with umbrella in-hand, you went onto your bike, placing the umbrella in a modified-in pocket on your bike, perfect for rainy days and sunny days -
you now rode your bike to the park, tho it was hard to see due to harsh weather conditions - you managed to make it out alive without crashing.
you waited at the park’s benches for awhile, waiting for the rain to stop - and it did.
you now walked to the swings, finding her.
your body instantly froze in fear, your words turning into a stuttering mess.
“hey, what did you want to meet up for?”
she spoke, raising one of her eyebrows with a confused look.
“i was about to ask the same thing, didn’t you give me a letter?”
you responded, pulling out the crumpled piece of paper from your pocket.
“ah.. i guess we got played..”
she said, clearing her throat after the sentence.
“yeah.. um..”
you responded akwardly, eyes meeting the floor.
“well, while we’re still here, why don’t we continue? consider it as a friend date..”
she said, smile creeping up her face, her cheeks, visibly red.
“sure.. i mean, yeah, we can do that..”
you idly said, stuttering mid sentences.
“y/n.”
minji spoke, her tone monotone.
“huh?”
you said with a confused look, eyes meeting hers.
“i like you.”

The smell of pancakes wafted through the apartment, filling the cozy kitchen with a warm, inviting aroma. You stood by the stove, humming softly as you flipped a golden-brown pancake onto a plate. Your hair was still slightly damp from the shower, hanging loose and free around your shoulders. You wore one of Minji’s oversized hoodies and a pair of your own shorts, feeling completely at ease in the quiet morning.
Minji lingered in the doorway, her eyes following your every move. She’d woken up a few minutes ago to the sound of you bustling around in the kitchen, and now she couldn’t tear her gaze away. You were so different from the polished, stage-ready version of yourself that the world saw—the one with bold makeup, perfectly styled hair, and a wardrobe that screamed confidence. Here, in the gentle light of the morning, you were soft, natural, and utterly breathtaking.
Minji bit her lip, a small smile creeping onto her face. You hadn’t noticed her yet, too focused on getting breakfast just right. She watched as you reached up to the shelf for a bottle of syrup, your hoodie riding up slightly to reveal a glimpse of skin. Something about the simplicity of the moment—the way you moved with such ease and comfort—made her heart swell with affection.
Finally, unable to stay away any longer, Minji padded across the kitchen and wrapped her arms around your waist from behind, resting her chin on your shoulder.
“Morning, beautiful,” she murmured, her voice still thick with sleep.
You jumped slightly, surprised, but then relaxed into her embrace, tilting your head to the side to give her better access. “Morning, sleepyhead. Did I wake you?”
Minji shook her head, pressing a soft kiss to your neck. “No, but I’m glad I woke up in time to see this.”
“See what?” you asked, turning your head to catch her gaze.
“You,” Minji said simply, her eyes sparkling. “Like this, without any makeup, just being yourself. You’re so beautiful, you know that?”
You felt your cheeks heat up under her praise, a bashful smile tugging at your lips. “You always say that.”
“Because it’s true,” Minji insisted, her arms tightening around you. She nuzzled her face into the crook of your neck, breathing in the faint scent of your shampoo. “You’re the most beautiful person in the world to me, especially like this.”
You turned in her arms, wrapping your own around her neck and looking into her eyes. “Even when I’m just making breakfast in your old hoodie?”
Minji laughed softly, leaning in to kiss the tip of your nose. “Especially then. I love seeing you like this, just being you. It’s like I get to see a side of you that no one else does, and it makes me feel so lucky.”
You giggled, shaking your head slightly as you leaned in to press a soft kiss to her lips. “You’re such a sap, you know that?”
“Only for you,” Minji teased, pulling you even closer until there was no space left between you.
You stayed like that for a few moments, just holding each other in the quiet kitchen, the pancakes forgotten on the stove. When you finally pulled back, Minji’s eyes were still full of adoration, her smile soft and warm.
“Come on, let’s eat before the pancakes get cold,” you said, gently pulling her over to the table.
Minji followed, still holding your hand as you both sat down. As you started to eat, Minji couldn’t help but keep sneaking glances at you, her heart fluttering every time you smiled or laughed. It was in these small, quiet moments—when you were just being yourself, no makeup or pretense—that Minji realized how deeply in love she was with you. And as you sat across from her, looking so effortlessly beautiful, Minji made a silent vow to remind you of that every
—---------
Minji had finished her dance practice early and couldn’t stop thinking about you. Knowing how hard you and your group were working, she decided to swing by the cafeteria to grab some snacks. She knew you’d appreciate a little surprise after hours of intense rehearsals.
With a tray of drinks and snacks balanced in her hands, Minji made her way to your practice room. As she approached, she could already hear the bass thumping through the walls, the sound of synchronized movements reverberating through the floor. Peeking through the small window on the door, she saw you at the front of the group, leading the choreography with all the energy and focus you could muster.
Your hair was matted to your forehead, and your clothes were drenched with sweat, but Minji thought you looked incredible. She watched for a few more moments, her heart swelling with pride. Even after all this time, you never failed to amaze her with your dedication and raw talent.
The song ended, and as soon as you spotted Minji standing at the door, your tired expression lit up like a sunrise. Without hesitation, you sprinted toward her, excitement bubbling up inside you.
“Minji!” you called out, throwing the door open and practically launching yourself into her arms.
Minji barely had time to set the tray down on a nearby bench before catching you, laughing as she wrapped her arms around you and spun you around. “Hey, hey! Careful, you’re all sweaty!” she teased, though the smile on her face showed she didn’t mind at all.
Your members watched the scene unfold with amused grins, one of them joking, “Geez, Y/N, did you just abandon us for your girlfriend? We’re the ones doing all the work!”
You stuck your tongue out at them as Minji set you back down on your feet. “What can I say? I missed her!”
Minji chuckled and brushed a strand of damp hair away from your face, her eyes full of warmth. “And I missed you too. I brought some snacks for everyone,” she said, gesturing to the tray.
The room buzzed with excitement as your members eagerly gathered around, reaching for the drinks and snacks. “You’re a lifesaver, Minji,” one of them said, popping open a bottle of water.
“Yeah, we’re pretty sure Y/N was about to pass out,” another teased, nudging you playfully.
“Hey, I was fine!” you protested, though you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Sure you were,” Minji said with a grin, still holding onto your hand. “But I’m glad I could come by and save the day.”
As everyone settled down to enjoy the snacks, the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and lighthearted banter. One of your members leaned over and whispered, “How do you put up with Y/N’s energy all the time, Minji? I’m exhausted just watching her!”
Minji grinned and shrugged. “What can I say? It keeps me on my toes.”
You playfully swatted at your member. “Hey, I’m not that bad!”
“Oh, you’re worse,” Minji teased, making everyone laugh.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, the tension from hours of practice melting away. You leaned against Minji, letting out a contented sigh. “Thanks for coming by. This was just what we needed.”
Minji smiled, pressing a kiss to your temple. “Anytime. I love seeing you like this, even when you’re all sweaty and exhausted.”
“Ah, so you don’t mind the sweat, huh?” you teased, tilting your head up to give her a cheeky grin.
“Not even a little bit,” Minji replied, squeezing your hand. “You’re always beautiful to me.”
Your members groaned good-naturedly at the cheesy line, but you just laughed, feeling warmth spread through you at her words. “You’re such a sap, Minji.”
“And you love it,” she shot back, grinning.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hide the smile tugging at your lips.
—------
The arena was alive with energy, the crowd’s excitement palpable as your group performed their biggest hits. The lights danced across the stage, highlighting every move and every smile. From her seat close to the stage, Minji watched in awe, her eyes following your every movement.
You were in your element, effortlessly commanding the stage with your presence. The music swelled, and as you hit the chorus, Minji couldn’t help but smile, her lips moving unconsciously as she mouthed the words along with you. She knew every lyric by heart, having listened to you rehearse countless times, and watching you perform it live made her heart swell with pride.
Unbeknownst to Minji, a few fans nearby had spotted her in the crowd. They noticed how her eyes never left you, how she seemed to glow with quiet admiration. Some even caught her mouthing along to your parts, a small smile playing on her lips.
As the concert went on, more fans began to take notice. Phones were quickly pulled out, capturing pictures and videos of Minji, who was oblivious to the attention, too focused on you to notice. By the time your group hit the final note of the night, social media was already buzzing.
“Minji caught smiling and singing along to Y/N’s parts at the concert! She’s so in love 🥺,” one fan tweeted, along with a short clip of Minji subtly lip-syncing in the crowd.
“Look at how soft Minji looks watching Y/N perform. She’s the ultimate Y/N stan,” another post read, the accompanying picture showing Minji’s eyes glued to you, her expression full of quiet affection.
After the concert ended and you finally got a chance to slip backstage, you found Minji waiting for you, a small smile on her face. She looked calm, but you could see the pride and love in her eyes, and it warmed your heart.
“You were amazing out there,” she said simply, her voice soft but full of sincerity.
You grinned, feeling the post-concert adrenaline still buzzing in your veins. “And I heard you were pretty into the show too,” you teased, giving her a playful nudge.
Minji chuckled, a hint of blush coloring her cheeks. “I might have been caught lip-syncing a little,” she admitted, her smile growing wider. “But how could I not? You were incredible.”
You wrapped your arms around her, pulling her into a hug. “I’m just glad you were here. It means everything to me.”
Minji hugged you back, resting her chin on your shoulder. “I wouldn’t have missed it for anything,” she whispered.
As you stood there, enveloped in each other’s warmth, the world outside buzzing with the aftermath of the concert, you felt a deep sense of contentment. It wasn’t the crowd or the lights that made the night special—it was knowing that Minji was there, quietly supporting you, loving you in her own way.

💭 — MINJI AS YOUR GIRLFRIEND !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
tysm 🌸 anon !! wooo first newjeans work!! i hope you enjoy :)
warnings : none?
Tumblr media
— i feel like she would be really reassuring. like she’s willing to listen to your problems and try to help you with it. i think she’s really with her words so she would be giving you great advice.
— shy with physical touch but loves it. like if you randomly hug her, a big smile would appear on her face </3 probably pretends she dislikes it while her face says otherwise!!
— probably gives you back rubs out of habit.
— PULLING YOU IN FOR BACK HUGS!!! i feel like she’d do that and rest her head on your shoulder 💔
— prefers quieter dates. just so she could be able to focus on you in silence. she thinks dates like those run smoothly, as you both can just appreciate the moment together!
— very easygoing/carefree gf i believe. i don’t think she’d get jealous as much since she trusts you. there may be times where she might feel jealous, but she would eventually calm down cause she knows she has that reassurance. you’re her partner, she should trust you. she does, knowing you love her :)
— “minji, don’t you think they are a little too touchy?” “they know who they are dating. why should i worry?”
— very attentive to your wants and needs. if she thinks you’re cold, she would give up her jacket or give you a blanket. if she thinks you are sick, she’d immediately be at your care.
— def admires you. thinks you’re the most perfect thing ever. like if you’re hanging out with the others, she’d watch you all, thinking what she did to deserve all of you guys. stop it
— the listener in the relationship. she just tends to take that role, just listening to others and then giving her comments.
— i feel like she’d be awkward at the beginning of the relationship. like she knows you but she’s afraid to make moves that you may not like. so, you might want to be the first to make a move!
— more soft spoken when it comes to you. it just became that way after you two decided to date.
— if the others tease you a lot, she’d most likely try to calm the situation. “alright guys, that’s enough,” as she pulls you closer to her 💔💔💔 . however when she teases you, that’s a different story for another time.
— when she’s stressed, she knows she could just go to you for comfort. words wouldn’t even need to be exchanged, you know once she asks to be held that you never judge and listen to her.
— anything you give her, she considers it as a lucky charm. like if you gave her a plush that resembled her, she’d bring it everywhere…literally. probably would even give updates on it and that would be so cute 😭
— leaves voice messages so you don’t miss her too much :) and demands for you to send some after LMAO
— probably likes taking live photos just for the memories!

BABYSITTER | kim minji
Tumblr media
NEW JEANS: kim minji x reader
SYNOPSIS: you’re tired of babysitting your little brother so your parents hire a new babysitter, kim minji.
CATEGORY: a really short and fluffy story <3
WORD COUNT: 189
So, there you were, tired of constantly looking after your little brother. I mean, seriously, the kid had more energy than a squirrel on caffeine!
Your parents finally decided to get a babysitter for him, and boy, were you relieved. They hired this girl named Minji, and little did you know, your life was about to take a hilarious turn.
One evening, you came home early and walked into the living room to find Minji playing video games with your brother. She was totally into it, giving your brother a run for his money.
You couldn't help but be impressed. Babysitter goals, am I right?
You introduced yourself to Minji, and right off the bat, you felt something. It was like a spark of chemistry?.
From that day on, you made it a point to come home early whenever Minji was around. You two became great friends, hanging out outside your house and doing all sorts of silly stuff together.
And then, one magical day, Minji dropped a bombshell.
She confessed her love feelings for you. You couldn't believe it! But hey, turns out you felt the same way. You blurted out that you liked her too, and just like that, you two became a couple.
From that moment on, life became a whirlwind of adventures and laughter. You'd go on ridiculous dates, like having ice cream-eating competitions or trying to see who can stay still on a skateboard without falling.
You were like a couple of lovestruck goofy girls, and it was absolutely fantastic.

Baby I’m back!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/n note: I saw those pics and it gave me an idea😚didn’t want to do anything rough or mean with minji,so it’s a cute soft sex.💞
“MINJI OH MY GOSH, SINCE WHEN DID YOU COME BACK?!” you ran to the black haired girl hugging her immediately. You have been out grocery shopping and minji has been on a work trip, she was supposed to comeback in two days. That’s why you usually went out this past week since you couldn’t bear the house without Minji being there even if it meant to go out just for a walk. You were so surprised to see her sitting on the couch while waiting for you.
You guide her to your shared bedroom thinking that minji needs rest after her trip, “you need rest baby” you requested “no I want to spend my time with my princess” she said. Not wanting to argue with her you just nodded a small smile took place on your lips. “What about cuddles?” you said enthusiastically smiling warmly at her. “That sounds good” she replied with the same smile.
You both were cuddling peacefully till you felt her raging boner against your stomach, once she noticed that you saw her hard length she moved her legs to your sides now on top of you. Guiding her face to your ears she whispers against your hair “I need my Princess” once you heard that your panties were basically soaked. Knowing how her words affect you, she moved to the hem of your shorts “can I princess?” She asked, “yes you can baby” you nod while saying. It took her seconds to rip your shorts and panties off, your lower region being completely exposed to her now. She took off her boxers, soon after her length was placed at your entrance “can I baby?” She questioned. You just hummed softly wanting to feel her length in you as fast as possible. She took one deep breath and pushed in completely. Hearing a gasp from you she smirked knowing how much she just stretched you out. She started to moving slowly but discovering new parts in you that your fingers couldn’t discover. Her slow pace moved to a one where you both basically jumping on each other, you knew she was close by the way her cock was twitching inside. Soon after she filled you with her hot, warm, sticky seed. Even tho she came she continued pounding into your cunt to make you feel your climax. She placed her hands on your tits to play with them and to make you feel your high faster. Her fiddling with your nipples and sucking on them + her thrusting into you made you clench around her. Knowing that you were close Minji fastened her speed and now you squirted all over her and the sheets. She went down and drank all of your juices like a thirsty woman. She gave your clit one last kiss and cleaned you up!🤭
