Replica Delta Force Custom 2-Hole NVG Ground Mount Shroud and ANVIS Adapter Shim
An iconic piece of Delta Force brainbucket hardware seen from 2004-2007 to even as late as the 2010's in one instance. Reproductions are far and few between, especially of the correct adapter shims.
These shrouds were largely unpopular with the unit because unlike the Norotos Rhino Shrouds they were based on, they lacked the rubber pads that prevented the mount from rattling once it was locked in.
You can see instances of unit guys with a telltale 'box' in the paint job where the 2-Hole Shroud used to be, was painted over, and then later removed (1st and 2nd photos above). Some operators, as mentioned before, liked the convenience of the shrouds enough to retain them, and one way they got over the rattling issue was to stick a piece of velcro on the inside of the shroud to fill in the gap (3rd photo, above).
^Several originals for comparison. The only real thing my replicas lack at this point is the aggressive tool marks left over from the machining process.

I was wondering if we could get another story with wraith reader with the rest of the 141 and Horangi and Konig if that is okay?
Cw: cannibalism, blood and gore?, protective Simon, tell me if I missed any.
Feeding was an essential thing despite it being a difficult affair. The taste of warm and soft flesh, the tang and smell of iron-rich blood, and the savoury feeling of being full and satiated. Feeding was a bloody and violent thing, but a necessity that kept him alive. And now you, another of his kind, one rare and unaccounted for unlike other kinds. If hunger had been an issue for him for so long, he couldn’t fathom how you felt, one turned much younger than him and more frequently than him.
One - he - could imagine the fright and panic, the anger and the sorrow, the dread and the crisis, just as he felt, if not more so for your seemingly younger - now that he had learned that wraiths, much like vampires, stop aging after being turned and forgotten by Death itself - appearance than him at his point of transformation. It was a difficult thing, but one he had help with, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to cry to, a hand to hold onto and a heart to seek comfort from.
Even now, the annoying pang of hunger pulsed through him, the sudden lack of sustenance from the base had left him hungry and stewing with mounting irritation. So, Ghost couldn’t imagine how you felt, being starved from both the lack of meat and the lack of missions they were sent on. Be it a nagging headache, a painfully empty stomach or the same amount of irritation he felt at the simplest things.
But it seemed their streak of bad luck and hunger was over the moment they were deployed, stalking through an Albanian forest at night with or without NVGs, plotting an ambush on the enemies who’d called the cabin their temporary safehouse. Though it was a high stake mission, Kate and Price had figured to send you along with him and two others, one - as much as him - starving König and a concerned Gaz.
Your interactions were limited to rare calls and signs, Gaz making quiet calls to relay information to you when your eyes weren’t enough to locate the danger or sharing signals between you three whenever the moment made it possible. And when Ghost had finally reached their so-called safehouse, it was a frenzy the second the first spill of blood, the sweet, sweet smell of blood flooding all three of you with a thick haze of hunger.
Ghost had watched König separate himself from him just as you had, melting away in a thick cloud of darkness. He watched - admired - you from the corner of his eyes, your dark mass rushing towards the feet of a few men, dissolving them from the feet up. Bodies consumed, muscles deconstructed, fat melted, mind killed. You ate and ate and ate, like a frenzied beast as starved as you were crazed. You were a marvel to look at, deathly and hauntingly beautiful, danger culminated in a single being.
Ghost will have to talk to you after this feast, his grumbling stomach calling him back to his body’s needs.

SCP AMTF Nu-7 Cosplay - Containment Breach Response
Depicted here is the potential appearance of a conventionally armed Nu-7 operative who is responding to an SCP Foundation site containment breach. What this constitutes is essentially their usual standard fitment "day-to-day" loadout with the addition of a triple red lines symbol denoting themselves as a responding AMTF unit as described in "Lockdown Procedures" by Blibby_Blobfish from the SCP wiki. This example shows the three red lines symbol on the right arm loop Velcro panel of the black combat shirt. They may also wear a camouflaged combat shirt instead of their in-house solid color shirt to further mask themselves as US military personnel if the threat to the site has the potential to break the veil. This would also come with 'sterilizing' the uniform by removing all identifiers including SCP ID cards, clearance cards, and unit patches. This particular operative has chosen to wear the 'in-house' uniform of Nu-7, that being a black top with MultiCam bottom. It is often the case that when Nu-7 is called to respond to a containment breach, the damage has already reached the level of potential veil breaking scenarios, and Nu-7 units often find themselves fighting their way to the interior of the site from the outside perimeter. In such a case, a camouflage uniform and gear would be very effective for the individual operative when fighting outside the site in a conventional context.
Responding AMTF units must detain everyone who is not in their designated evacuation shelters as they clear the foundation site. To carry out this task the element may carry a variety of restraining devices. This can range from specialized restraining tools like a cobra cuff to cheap and simple zip ties. Zip ties can be stored easily, are extremely compact, and are widely available. They are also quickly disposable with no real monetary damage to allocated AMTF unit funds. This would allow individual operatives to carry several zip ties for restraining all neutral contacts within the site.
The interior of the breached site may contain harmful particulates or have contingencies in place like automatic CS gas emitters to pacify potential threats as the responding AMTF units clear the facility. The operative is also equipped with a gas mask at the ready in a bag worn bandolier style. Should the need arise, responding operatives are able to quickly don their gas masks and continue with their mission unimpeded.
Communication is incredibly important when clearing a breached site, so an active hearing protection headset that is comms capable is a requirement for all responding personnel. The headset worn by this operative is closed circuit which allows for continued communication at the squad level, even when working underground. This particular headset does not require a radio to function as well, thus sparing the weight and freeing the real estate of a radio on their kit. Element leaders would carry a radio in order to talk to their AMTF Commanders to receive orders.
The operative has also equipped themselves with a PVS-14 Night Vision Device. Helmet mounted night vision devices provide sufficient visibility when working in low light conditions within the facility. The SCP Foundation provides all the necessary kit that Armed Mobile Task Force units need to fulfil their objectives. While other units may be issued dual tube NVGs or even the well sought after panoramic NVGs, this operative has chosen to use a private purchase PVS-14. While dual tubes or panoramic tubes are a common sight within AMTF units, a single tube will always be lighter, more compact, and more convenient to store on the kit than any dual or panoramic counterpart. This operative has an NVG recorder mounted to their monocular which allows for evidence recording within low light environments. This complete setup, despite the additional weight of front and rear lens protection and a recording device, is still lighter than many binocular NVGs. This provides the wearer with a more comfortable fit that can be worn indefinitely with no neck strain or fatigue.

I think it's funny that something like SCP is clashing with itself in terms of aesthetics and tone because of annoying tactical goon larpers. Like SCP is already rotting garbage on its own but these guys are like how can I enjoy a scary story of the peepeepoopoo dark hallway monster that is embodied in a Lego brick if they don't talk for two whole chapters about how the spec ops guards chasing it are using the Navy SEAL approved CBT operator tactical M4 Carbine with SCAT industries rail system and SPEC-ED helmets with GUNT dynamics quad NVG mounts?

Best RDS/tripler set up I’ve ever had…..
🔴
Holosun AEMS- i’ve been using for a few months now. The glass on this thing is oddly clean and clear. It comes with see-through protective caps, which in my line of work aids in this thing not getting scratched up and they’re replaceable. The reticle is an EOTech 65 MOA ring with one MOA aiming dot. The AEMS is a dramatically smaller housing than an EOTech, which takes up less rail space but still has the same speed and accuracy characteristics (and multiple aiming references) because the reticle is the same. Battery life is ridiculously long, NVG settings are bomber and buttonology is smart. The stock mount is shit in my opinion.
🔎
This Aimpoint Magnifier is the cleanest image of their offerings in my opinion, is more durable due to its waterproof rating and because of its length, there is no eye relief issues like some shorter magnifiers have. AEMS
💪
made sense to me to go with the scalarworks mount for both and oddly enough even though these are 1.93 mounts it does not shoot like that it feels more like a 1.7 at best and I would chalk this up to the physical design of the AEMS. even measured with calipers it measures less than 1.93. I have not found the need for a cheek riser with this set up going out to 300+ yards on 4-5 MOA targets.
?
I am an LPVO guy through and through, but there are literally hundreds of units/agencies/commands that simply do not use LPVOs for a variety of reasons but do have the need to shoot/ID past 50/100 yards on difficult targets at speed in varying conditions. This is simply the best set up I have ever found for that and I train a lot of those people.
💰
if you just want something cheaper, you’ll have decent success with a Vortex Sparc and 3X Magnifier.
🎯
I do not get paid by or have an official relationship with Aimpoint, Holosun or Scalarworks……… in my experience this is just the best set up like this that is currently available.

Wilcox P/N 56500G02 AN/AVS-6,-9 NVG Mount
An oldschool ground-ruggedized ANVIS-specific NVG mount that predates the venerable GSGM/DPAM
I bought this one to be my personal NVG mount and thought I'd give my first impressions on all the little quirks it has:
The mount sadly does not feature a LEMO downlead for a standard ANVIS battery pack; this mount runs off a single CR123A battery in a removable, slide-out tray. There is an alternate LEMO cable adapter, but I don't have it. As such, I'll need to get myself a counterweight for any helmets I use it on.
In order to flip the goggles up, two buttons on either side of the mount need to be depressed simultaneously, but they are at least in a very convenient position over standard ANVIS mounts
Most of all, the shroud locking interface on the back is semi-integral to the mount - you aren't really meant to use this mount on anything other than Norotos-style mount geometry. However, it does work surprisingly well with AWS 2-Hole Shrouds.
Technically they are compatible with the current-day Wilcox G24 rail interface, but you need to undo two tiny hex screws on top of the mount in order to remove the default locking plate:
But once you do, the results are interesting, to say the least lol

SCP AMTF Nu-7 Cosplay - Low Visibility Environment
Depicted here is the standard night fighting equipment for the conventional Nu-7 light fighter. Low visibility conditions take up roughly half of all time on Earth, and as such the modern soldier must be equipped to function in such an environment. This is also the case for the SCP Foundation's Armed Mobile Task Forces. It is especially important for AMTF units as many Foundation site's are almost entirely underground and have the potential to lose power and artificial light. All AMTF units who are tasked with responding to site containment breaches must be trained in performing all of their duties under night vision devices. Headborne night vision and occasionally thermal devices are typically mounted on a ballistic or bump helmet, in this case the Ops-Core SF ballistic helmet, via an NVG shroud fixed to the front of the helmet. The night vision equipment can be mounted to the shroud off a dovetail mount by the use of a bridge for dual tube NVGs, or a J-Arm for single tube NVGs. The operative depicted here has an Elbit Gen 3 WP PVS-14 mounted on a Noisefighters MAX14 J-Arm which mounts to the Norotos Lo-Sto Push Button Mount. Such a setup is extremely lightweight and provides an exceptional range of articulation for stowing the unit on the helmet. This operative also has a FLIR Breach Thermal monocular, used as a handheld heat signature scanner. Using both night vision tubes and thermal devices in tandem provides the user with an extremely powerful toolset when working at night or in low light conditions.
If the AMTF unit is responding to a potential threat to Foundation security that is known to have peer or near peer technology, then responding elements must assume their targets have night vision and thermal devices as well. To this end one of the more simple methods to counter handheld thermal devices is to wear a large poncho. This masks most of the operative's body heat underneath the poncho and blends the wearer to the surrounding environmental temperature. Fighting against thermal is extremely difficult and this method is not perfect, however even a simple poncho decreases the overall heat signature of the wearer to a large degree. Countering enemy night vision devices is much easier and a large part of succeeding in this is to reduce both white light and IR light output downrange. This means the operative's must passive aim without the assistance of an IR laser mounted on the weapon. The real estate is instead taken by a white light and IR light capable flashlight which can assist in passive aiming in low light environments.
Fighting against the anomalous has the potential to become chaotic almost instantaneously, and only more so at night. Low visibility paired with the small field of view that night vision provides means that responding elements will need a quick and easy way to distinguish from friend or foe. To this end the operative here has placed infrared glint tabs on the back of his kit. These IR tabs glow when IR light is reflected on them, and this glowing effect is only visible under night vision. This example here was taken from a still during Recovery Operation ███ ████ (See Recovery Operation ███ ████ After Action Report ██-██-████ ████ hrs local).
The operative showcased here also has a helmet mounted strobe light, specifically the S&S Precision Manta Strobe with Hybrid Tail Cap. A helmet strobe light provides friendly identification to nearby units from a long distance, ranging from other elements and vehicles on the ground to supporting aircraft in the sky. Unit Standard Operating Procedures, or SOP, will determine how identifying friend or foe under low light conditions is conducted.
