"What's your name soldier?!"

"Anthony Smith sir!"

"What do you suffer from?!"

"Hemorroids sir!"

"How is that cured?!"

"WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST WISH?!"

Satisfied, he moves on to the next patient.

"What's your name soldier?!"

Feeling like his help isn't much needed, the general decides to visit one last patient.

With a very quiet voice, the soldier responds "James McCain sir."

"A brush of iodine sir."

"WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST WISH?!"

"For the nurse to use a different brush!"

Have a very messy sketch comic of an AU idea I had for Alessia.

In this AU, after the death of her Grandfather and the harassment faced at school Alessia couldn’t take it anymore. But instead of ending it there, Alessia packs up her things and makes a break for it towards woods. Unfortunately, Alessia trips and tumbled down slopes and hills. Everything goes back and next thing she knows, she’s in a snowy forest. Lost and afraid, Alessia rests up for a bit crying to herself regretting her actions but to afraid to go home. It’s not like she can now, she’s lost. Soon enough, people find her—wait… no… Not people. MONSTERS!!!! Alessia immediately gets up and runs away, scared of her life. But little did she know… those “monsters” were the Nutcracketeers trying to help her.

Now she’s alone in the magical world as she tries to survive and possibly get back home. All the while running from “monsters.” But don’t worry. With patience and trust building Alessia may form a bond with the Nutcrackers who are trying to help her~

Maxiel - nap

Cute Maxiel coming right up!

It was always quite endearing to Daniel how soft Max was when he was sleepy.

For all his tough bravado and mask towards the world, Max was actually quite a softie.

He didn't show that a lot to the outside world. At least he showed more of his funny side nowadays.

Especially when Daniel was around.

But when they were alone, sitting on the couch or lying in bed watching a movie or something and Max's eyes started drooping and his head would drop forward or sideways onto the older man's shoulder; that's when Daniel's heart really melted.

"You tired?" Daniel murmured, already knowing the answer that would come out of Max's mouth.

"No. Not tired at all." The way those words were slurred told a different thing.

Daniel chuckled, "Come on, Maxie. Nap time."

The 'no' now mostly came out as a garbled noise that sounded like 'nuuuh".

Biting his bottom lip to not burst out laughing, Daniel took Max's arms and wrapped them around his neck and his awn arms around the Dutch's waist, lifting him off the couch.

"Are you gonna walk or are you actually gonna let me carry you?"

Once again, he already knew the answer. Especially when Max glanced up at him through his lashes with a bashful smile.

Daniel huffed, "Come on then."

He let Max wrap his legs around him and told him to hold on as he walked with him to the bedroom.

A nice little work out before bed was always good.

Instead of just dropping his boyfriend on the bed, he carefully laid him down, dropping a kiss to his nose, which scrunched up adorably, before untangling Max's arms from around his neck and his legs from his waist.

Max was extremely clingy when sleepy or drunk.

As soon as Daniel had untangled himself from his boyfriend's clutches, said boyfriend made a whiny sound (which he would definitely deny later) and Daniel chuckled again, lying down next to him.

Immediately Max was in his space, wrapping himself around the Aussie once again, Daniel making sure they were both comfortable before kissing Max on his forehead.

"Sleep well, baby."

A soft, content sigh.

"Night, Dan."

Violet simply throws a small book outside her bedroom, in the hallway, and closes the door again. The book hits Dexter right behind his head.

"OW-?!? WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"HEY, ASSHOLE, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE UPSET DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO THROW SHIT AT M-"

"...Oh, it's this fucking journal."

"Cannot stand it. It loses glitter fucking everywhere all the time."

On the cover, there's some disgustingly big writing, made with purple glitter glue and shiny markers.

"VIOLET'S SUPER DUPER COOL JOURNAL!!!"

You open the journal somewhere in the middle.

Okay so, I think I'm starting to get the hang of whatever these powers are. At the very least, I haven't passed out and summoned anything by accident after my latest traumatic experience, and I haven't been throwing up that gross black inky mush for some time now. So that must some progress!"

"Anyway, Dex said we should at least try to see the general area my powers are dwabbling in, and I told him "whaaa, it's necromancy, duh!" and he was like "Yeah but there are different kind of necromancy, we should at least be sure of what you can and can't do" and I was like "nuuuh, that sounds boring!!" and he yelled at me :( so now i'm doing whatever it is he wanted me to do."

"I can see summon ghosts, that much is clear. Not all ghosts are the same, but I can see and talk to pretty much all of them! I can move them around, get them in and out of Vessels as I wish, and I'm like 90% sure I can fix them back in their original bodies too. Gonna have to try that one out first, though."

"What else... oh! Apparently, if I follow any ritual on that strange book, they work! (the ones that don't involve human sacrifice are actually pretty useful! Been using their Ancient Fire Of Pain one to save some money on turning on the stove when I want to cook myself some eggs:P) But only if I do it. Carl tried to do one of them, and it didn't work. Since all of those rituals require blood samples, Dex says my blood must have something odd or magic in it. That's cool! I have cursed blood!"

"This must also be why I seem to heal way faster than the average person. When I got stabbed one inch from death, it took me just a week to be good as new! We don't know if this means i'm anywhere near Immortal, but I doubt that. Dexter didn't want me to check. And honestly, I wasn't feeling like proving or disproving this fact either."

"Another cool thing I can do, is sense whenever something odd or paranormal is happening and/or getting closer to me! Which has proven to be more useful than any house alarm ever. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work on people from the cult. I can never predict how or when they might be coming after me. Dexter says he can handle them for me though, and I trust him. So it's all good!"

What happened with Philoctetes being abandoned was used as a plot device for his character and future events and that's why I never use it to judge Odysseus's character. There, I said it.

The reason I say this? Is because back then the greeks came to an agreement that Philoctetes was left on the island of Lemnos after getting a snake bite, and that Odysseus convinced them to leave him behind.

However, despite all the research, I can never find exactly why Odysseus decided to leave him behind. Some imply that he didn't like all the cries from Philoctetes festering wound and left him behind, in others it's implied that he was forced to leave him behind by the others, others imply that it was a plan in order to find a way to get him back eventually, others imply that Odysseus saw him as a lost cause, that he would weigh them down, etc.. It seems like no one could agree on one thing or a reason why, just that it happened and that was basically it. They weren't really focused on giving Odysseus an in depth reasoning, just that he decided to leave Lemnos behind and that story would be a suprise tool that would help them later.

We may never know Odysseus's true thought process or reasonings as to why, as it is all left to be implied and seeing as there are many versions of Odysseus throughout both greek and modern history combined with the fact that there wasn't a universally agreed upon reasoning for it, I never use it to judge Odysseus's character as it feels impossible to do so.

For me personally, if I had to take an educated guess on his thought process seeing as we don't really know what it was, Odysseus doesn't seem like the kind of guy to just go- "hah, rotting foot? Must be a skill issue lmao" before then just dipping but I don't think he would just blindly be like "Nuuuh my friendo, my bestie has an ouchy we can't leave him behind like this!" Either. Odysseus's is a very complicated man, but was neither saint nor monster either, rather being the inbetween, and that was shown a lot in stories. So I wholeheartedly feel like it probably was the same situation with what happened with the other situations like Iphigenia, Troilus, Polyxena, etc.. where the man either offhandely makes the suggestion or does the hard decisions himself for reasons either known or unknown.
